We drive here past other fish znd chip shops because we rate it do highly

Had skate and chips from seaways on Monday evening 26/02 , very surprised at how disappointed I was with it. This take away is normally the best in the area but it wasn’t. The skate was slightly undercooked and the chips were all stuck together. 😞

We are buying Fish & Chips always from Seaways, i think it was best fish & chips shop in Cheshunt, but todays chips was shocking!

Portion could have been bigger for the price.

Fish is decent but the ability to put your own salt and vinegar on spoils the tast. Staff insist on doing it themselves and their idea of seasoning isn’t necessarily the same as their customers. Probably won’t go again until you can add your own salt and vinegar.

Best fish and chips in Hertfordshire in my opinion, the shop is newly refurbished (after an accident involving a car) and looks amazing, the food is on a whole different level to most other shops I've been in, really only rivaled by my absolute favourite fish and chip shop which is in Shanklin in the Isle of Wight, but that's really only because of the location, the quality of the food is on par with Seaways. Delicious! Highly Recommend!

My son treated me to fish and chips for my birthday. We ordered 2 large cod and chips one medium fish and 2 saveloys. Cost was £45.00. Shouldn’t have bothered. Medium cod wouldn’t have fed a toddler. Large cod was just greasy batter. Chips weren’t cooked. Dogs had the saveloys. Birthday spoilt lesson learnt. Don’t go to seaways. Where are the previous owners? Have they got another shop. I’d drive to find them. £45 is a rip off for rubbish food. Don’t go there.

Absolutely disgusting service, had delivery they sent wrong food when rang the lady was the rudest person I have come across!!!! Would not sent our food would not refund said not her problem. I do not recommend I will never go there again!!!!

£16 for sausage n batter and chips and a pie and large chips. worst food i’ve ever had from a chip shop tiny portion of chips which were a quarter of a bag of soggy greasy chips and loads of pointy hard cardboard chips in it , dry hard sausage n batter and a sunken pie. . i actually threw sausage and chips as i got a quarter of the way through it which was only a few . i’ll never come here again . just pure grease and dry food that’s been there for who knows how long and tiniest portion of chips. my friend had a large chips which were still smaller than all the others .i can still feel the grease on my mouth . errrrr rank food 🤮

Very popular shop. We had good quality/tasty cod fish and chips and a excellent sausage in batter. Counter service is split between walk-in and collection, so as a walk-in customer be prepared to wait a few minutes.

Great fish and chip shop, always busy, which gives you a hint that the food is fresh. Never had a bad fish out of it, keep up the good work!

Normally our go to Fish & Chip shop but the fish is inconsistent recently. Either portion size or in quality. Tonight the batter was soggy and the fish mushy. Ended up feeding it my dog which was an expensive meal for him

Absolute a joke I ordered a regular cod few days back with no batter as the person whom eats is Gulten intolerant which they made a few days ago went in today to order it again but they refused to cook it don’t understand why they pick and choose when to do it or not absolute shambles

Placed an order for fish and chips, only for the fish to be missing. Called to request this be sent only to be told I need to come and collect after paying £1.99 for delivery. I then reluctantly agreed to collect and was told sorry they are closing. They would rather finish on time than wait 5 minutes for a new customer to come and collect. First and last time ordering. Stick to your regular as this was terrible service.

We are fortunate this is our local chippy, because it's the best in the whole area. Wonderful food, freshly cooked and served with a smile. Always busy in the evenings, but they have a good queing system meaning not crowded inside.

Excellent chip shop. With the ability to order using their own app it means you beat the queues. Good prices and a fantastic selection to choose from. The batter on the haddock is light, crispy and not at all oily. The chips are delicious and you get loads per portion. They serve the best chip shop curry sauce, its the only one my 10 year old son will eat.

Another great find on my travels. Did a quick Google search and this came up with with good reviews and they're not wrong. Everything cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Never had a French stick butty from a chippy before and that's a winner trust me. Very polite friendly staff and also very clean. Definitely deserving of 5 stars 👍🏻

Service and Food has always been outstanding i will not use any other Fish Bar in the Area However Please please be careful with Just eat deliverying your food i have recently had a very bad experience with them and they are not the most helpful of companies, 2 weeks in i am still awaiting a refund i usually pay by cash but as it was a huge order i didnt in this instance , but i must say that Carlo has been extremely helpful with trying to resolve this case it wont stop me using Seeways but i wont be using Just Eat if you can collect from the shop then definitely do that

Ordered from Seaways for the first time tonight. Best fish & Chips we've had in a long time. Food was delivered piping hot. Fish was crispy, fresh and delicious. Would recommend this to anyone. Will definitely order again.

Always get my fish and chips from here. Absolutely amazing. The portions are huge and cooked to perfection. Tried many in the area but this place hands down beats them. Just beware on a Friday the queue does get very long. updated 8th July: first time i've had takeaway here since before lock down. knocked my review from 5 to 4 stars. The fish was amazing but the chips was awful, very big thick cut and not cooked properly, they was more like large jenga blocks, hard and dry inside. We ended up with 2 large portions of chips untouched, at £3.95 a portion i was very happy. Not sure if it was a 1 off, or the young guy i've never seen before who was cooking them.

Stumbled upon Seaways by accident on JustEat - have ordered from there twice now and been very very happy with both orders despite items such as chips and sauces being a little on the expensive side. Chips at £3.95 and a pot of sauce at £2.65 for example. Delivery has always been prompt, although unsure if this was JustEat or the restaurant.

Best chippy for miles around. Lovely crispy chips, best mushy peas, chunky bits of fish. I discovered Seaways by accident but I hate using any other chippy. So happy they have a ording app to cope with lock down. 😁😁😁

Whilst you can't go in and order at the moment, you can via Just Eat. Chips were lively & not greasy. Will definately use Seaways for my fish and chips from now on.

I bought a portion of chips as the lady put them on the counter I said to her they seem a bit dark she said some what of an excuse to why and still took my £1,85 I put salt on them and walked off. I started to eat the chips in the car on the way home and they wore luke warm,soggy and just tasted horrible. So thank you Segways I wont be going there again 🤢
