Called the shop after delivery time was missed and was told it had left and would be with us soon. Called again after 20 mins to be told they had issues and it would be with us soon. When food eventually arrived it had clearly been sitting for a long time, it was cold and sweaty and we was unable to eat the food. Really disappointed

11am to 4 pm cod and chips are £7, next to it it's board "eat in and you will get tea or coffee free" I asked for coffee, unfortunately only instant coffee, so I choose tea. Tea wasn't free it was £2. No toilet to use. They asked eat in or take away, I confirmed eat in but don't understand why they asking this as my cod and chips was in take away box , with plastic fork and tissue. No sauce was offered, but you have salt and vinegar on the table. Fish was good. But old cooked oil smell in the air was worrying me. I think they should stop do eat in. As there no toilet, no proper cutlery. Scam on free cup of tea.

Best fish and chips as always. Ordered for my grandad who couldn’t hear knocking at his door, a young man called Connor called me to say there is no answer at the front door. Connor was so polite and wry helpful. Thankyou

Love this fish & chip shop - always absolutely delicious. My last order was through Just Eat. I rang the shop because I was worried my payment hadn’t gone through. The guy I spoke to was so lovely - friendly and reassured me that my payment had gone through. Said he was actually cooking my food as we spoke. SO professional and friendly. The food arrived on time and was as delicious as always.

Curry sauce was awful, it was meat flavoured and very dark brown! The saveloy was tough as old boots. And the chips were greasy! Thankfully the kids sausages in batter weren’t too bad ;-) I certainly won’t be ordering from here again. Not a patch on captains. Such a shame.

This is by far the best fish and chips I have ever eaten. When I come home from a good days fishing I stop in here and get my dinner. It the best part of my day 😂

Best fish n chip shop locally by far. Friendly staff (forgive the Liverpool supporter, he can't help it 😂). In all honesty, Good banter, great service and even better food. A warm welcome awaits every visitor from their friendly and efficient staff. Never had a bad meal here, ever. Highly recommend

Possibly the best I’ve had in a long time, I ate in there (at no extra cost) the chips were perfect as was the cod roe in batter. Eating here has reminded me how nice fish and chips is and demonstrates how diabolical some chip shops are. Will certainly be back.

Probably the best chips and curry sauce I have ever had. Always pop in here for lunch if were working nearby and never been dissapointed. Good lads and good food.

Unfortunately was not impressed with the quality of food the sausage and butter wasn’t fresh, and it was rockhard the cod was too oily but what was even worse was the squid potion nearly £8 for 8 tiny pieces the size of a fingernail

Really great food all the time

So glad we decided to treat ourselves, food was fantastic once again…did forget the homemade tartare sauce and as it was near to closing time decided to run down there & pick it up, so no biggie. Also tried a battered Mars Bar for the first time, now there’s a taste combination I never thought I’d like.

What can you say about this place, enchanting from the moment you walk in. The staff are attentive and polite, cleanliness all around, tidy . The food, well I have 2 chippies on my doorstep, but I always drive to come here , never in any doubt great food 👍🏾

Very pleasant courier, very nicely cooked haddock and a decent size, nicely cooked chips. My wife’s burger disappeared fairly quickly. Spot on.

The food is nice but the guy who owns/runs the shop needs to sort out his demanour. Every time I come in here he talks to other staff and customers like complete s**t. I’m astounded I see the same people work in there day in day out with the treatment he dishes out.

Everything was good except the cod was really really small. Like a big fish finger. For £9 should have had two pieces. Never had this before though

Okay so,I went here not to long ago and at first when I came in with my friend they were being a bit rough and really rude and hardly tapping a dark skined guy on the back saying 'make sure to come in tomorrow'(he works there)my friend and me was giving a weird look at them and this guy with lots of tats kept on looking at us behind the till and the bold guy that tapped him on the back and then he was being quite aggressive when serving my order,he literally gave the chips then my friend said I want salt cause he literally didn't ask he gave the seasonings and slammed the pot on the table and said 'there u r" later on we noticed he flipped the pot round because the lid was smaller and he put the chips in the lid instead of the bigger area.its really giving racist and he serves the most he was being a bit weird too so maybe he spat in it.he serves the most there.probably shouldn't come unless your white.
