Visited multiple times on our recent holiday to Falmouth, the food was excellent and the beer selection was just as good as you'd expect from Verdant.

Writing as a pub - never stayed in the rooms and don't know if they exist anymore. This was a cosy if somewhat grotty - in places - pub (everything a proper pub should be). Taken over by Verdant brewery and closed for several months for a refresh. So we went back in with a lot of trepidation over the weekend to see if they had destroyed it like other so called updates to local pubs. And - well no they haven't it retains a lot that the original pubs had but things that needed doing up have been. It is a pleasant atmosphere the toilets are much better (they were pretty grim). As the opening weekend it was full of a new clientele who appreciate the Verdant brand, lots of beards and checked shirted 30-40 somethings. All good - Nice to see it busy. We were too late for food but it smelt amazing. Sad that the old cheap pub menu has gone but the food prices did not seem excessive. So why the three stars? Well like a lot of pubs now the beer prices are eye watering you need to consult your financial adviser before buying a round. Its such a shame pubs will continue to die if this cant be fixed and the old locals wont keep coming back or at least they will hang onto a single half most of the night if they do. We are witnessing the death of pubs and local breweries need to be aware that they cant just keep rocketing prices up. Low alcohol drink prices are extortionate too. It would be nice if the breweries like verdant tried to address the issue. I think there is a gap for a middle ground session type beer say at 2 - 2.5% strength which could be much cheaper. Maybe something to think about but something needs to be done. The loss of these social centres is driving people into their homes more and impacting mental health. Aside from the breweries this need to be looked into by the government too.

We have enjoyed several pleasant evenings at the Seaview Inn, socialising with family and friends. Located on the terraces overlooking the harbour, it has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, well worth the short climb. It's also incredibly dog friendly with doggy treats kept on the end of the bar & long may this last. One of our family has coeliac disease and appreciates the availability of the draught Helles lager, which is gluten-free but not yet certified as such. Initially, we received some conflicting information from the staff regarding its gluten-free status. This is not a lifestyle choice, but a necessary dietary restriction with serious health consequences if not adhered to, so staff training in this area would be beneficial as the information needs to be 100% accurate as with any other serious allergy. It is wonderful, however, that a gluten-free beer is available on tap. We prefered the more basic 'pub grub' food at sensible prices before, and prices have increased since the recent change in ownership, so we no longer dine as much. The drink selection, however, has significantly improved from the previous landlords basic 'run of the mill' selection to an interesting choice of refreshments. However, a doubles-bar on spirits would be nice sometimes and may be the difference between making an effort to visit the pub or the easier & cheaper option of opening the spirits cabinet at home.

A lovely old fashioned pub with progressive beers from local brewery Verdant. The food is great and the harbour views to the front of the pub are some of the best in Falmouth.

Unfortunately the beers are really pale and hoppy and not to my taste with no darker and malty alternatives so this puts me off going to what used to be my regular pub!

Cozy pub with fantastically tasty beer and burgers. The room was nice, spacious and the bathroom was very clean. The breakfast was varied and the vegan British breakfast was very tasty.

No good GF beer. A let down compared to other places in Falmouth, like the Moth, Boathouse, 'Front and Beerwolf that often have a GF beer on tap.

One of the best pubs in Falmouth but a little out of the way and not the easiest to find. Excellent views across the estuary due to it's position high on the hill.

My family of four rented two of the rooms which were comfortable and accommodating. Beds were comfortable and there is a little set up of coffee and tea available in each room. We really enjoyed the breakfast the next morning, which was very hearty and cooked to perfection. The bar underneath was cozy and had plenty of drink options with a lively vibe. We felt it was really good value for money and would definitely see about staying there again on another trip to This beautiful town.

Lovely country pub, with lovely friendly and welcoming staff members, the food was some of the best we ate during our holiday. There is a little play area outside also for the children to keep them entertained which was great bonus.

A fantastic stay in a picturesque location, beautiful views from the rooms and restaurant. Friendly welcoming staff and clean rooms. The dog welcome box in the rooms is a brilliant idea aswell as the room names with references to the hotels history. Safe parking under the hotel which even managed to fit my van inside. A nice green area to the side to walk the dog in the morning was also useful. We have stayed once to see friends and it was so nice I stayed again a couple of weeks later for work.
