Seavers Fish Bar in Sandwell

Just finished work and stopped off to get 2 beef & onion pasties. When I opened it up it was so flat and inside the bit of meat was in a ball in the middle rest was soggy pastry if you can call it that. Over £6 for 2 pasties total rip off. Threw in bin 🤢

The food is that rank it could potentially kill somebody. Ordered from there last night, had a raw haddock delivered, frozen in the middle. Complained to the chip shop they told me to take it up with just eat for a refund! I took a video of the food and sent it to food hygiene Sandwell council, that is how serious it was. There are plenty of nice chippys and good businesses about but this is unacceptable, to serve raw food, especially fish? They deserve to be shut down

I spent £30 on kebabs which they all went in the binTotal waste of money food came cold and hard...I tried calling the shop which my call got blanked never ever again 😒

i have been using the shop in west bromwich since it was opened. However, today is the last time i will use it, the service has changed, and the quality of the food is now very poor. Getting rid of battered chips was a big mistake, BYE

Fish and chips were excellent, got to give a mention to the friendly staff, helpful and polite, would well recommend

The fish and chips here are consistently excellent, together with very friendly service it's the place to visit.

Always loved the food here but today unfortunately had a lot of grease on the kebab meat and it all Dried hard yellow... yak! Also asking for kebab meat and chips in a tray twice got no chips... £19 for a family of 4 and very disappointed with standard of food 😢 sorry but we won’t be back.

Today we had mixed kebab and chips and I found 4 bones in the chicken meat I felt sick after that and chucked the rest away, it seems they must buy cheapest brand please don't waste your cash

Eat from here a lot the food is always good it’s clean and the staff are friendly. Prices are slightly higher than others in the area but the food is tasty especially the kebab

Look at the picture of the amount of fat and grease came from a small kebab meat and chips! I’ve never had this anywhere else before. Disgusting! I know chip shop isnt the healthiest but this is real bad!!! I ate some and my throat felt horrible from all the grease!

I ordered 4 fish and chip specials and they were awful! Batter on fish was hard underneath and on the sides. Fish was dry. Most of the chips were hard. I rung to inform them and the man I spoke to was not very pleasant. They are normally good and that is why I bothered to ring them. I now leave a review because of his poor hospitality and awful fish and chips. I will be going to another fish and chips. Hopefully they improve on both skills

Today we ordered food from this place. Fish chips and curry sauce £7.50 I thought this would be enough for two people, but it was a small portion, my son had kebab meat in a tray £5 I think they have increased the prices due to the coroner virus. I certainly won't be using this place again

Great food, and reasonably priced considering the fact that it's higher quality than most other chip shops. Let’s The lamb kebab is of great quality, very meaty and full of bits and bobs of random stuff like other kebabs and service is always quick, even when busy. Great if you haven't got cash too, can pay by card if spending over a fiver. They have a very small range of fizzy drinks, but there's an off licence next door if you want something they don't have. I've never had a problem finding street parking nearby either.

£1.50 for a lukewarm cone of chips which came wrapped under in a small tray. Chips too soft & oily & should have been much warmer & better cooked at lunch time. Not my best visit here.

Came back for the first time in ages, & found it to be fairly expensive for what it is. Don't mind paying extra for quality, but there is a place on Just Eat which delivers the same things, better quality, for cheaper...

Battered chips are the best that's reason why I go there very clean good staff and well presented food all in all so that we have is very very good

Went here because they had lots of veggie options on the menu. However when you order they don't have most of the veggie options. First time I thought they had maybe tun out but it happened 3 times. The worst thing is they take your order and money, then tell you they dont have what you wanted and only have the same 2 options as always. Pointless.I asked the girl if the naan was freshly made and she said yes, but it came out of a packet, and service is ridiculously slow. It says on the board order on entry for certain items so I did. Bit it was obviously ignored. They had nice chips but overall wasn't worth the effort.

Nice chip shop. Option of Plain or battered chips fish is fresh. You never have to wait long even if it’s busy the staff are usually quick

Used this chip shop a couple of times, last time the food was bland and tasteless, I had large cod, chips and mushy peas. I asked for salt & vinegar, the servers must have been told to ration this, not even 2 shakes, very poor, won’t be going back.

Delicious fresh food from a clean and friendly fish and chip shop. If that’s not all you could ask for from a takeaway note the numerous positives:Two varieties of chips - yes two options(battered/plain)Three varieties of fish (battered/masala/grilled)Three varieties of chicken (tikka/southern fried/plain)Doner Lamb kebab meat Alternatives to chips - wraps/naan/riceOther options; Falafel, Veggie patty, Pies, Sausages, Kids meals We ordered some chicken tikka meat and battered chips along with the masala cod and curry sauce. I recommend the masala cod for the spicy lovers.Portions were good and quality of food was exceptional and totally worth the price paid.Everything was freshly cooked and well packed to remain fresh for our drive home. Food tasted great definitely one to go on top of our takeaway list. Already looking forward to our next takeaway night visit, next time I will add pictures before we gobble it all up!

We have 3 chip shops that are closer to us but we are happy to drive a little further to buy our food from here. There's always a que which is always a good sign. Chips are amazing! They do a kids meal in a box which is a good size. Highly recommended : )

We go there for our dinner on a number of occasions the food is always cooked to our liking and reasonably priced .they do quite a few specials and great kebabs, would definitely recommend a visit

I used to quite like this chip shop as it's one of the few that do falafel. It's got a good range of rood including masala fish and also gives you the option of battered or plain chips, salad, rice , pitta or nann. Unfortunately it's shop bought nann unlike other chip shop's not that far away. They pressure fry the chicken so it's not as fatty as other places. So far so good this is the only place that I can't eat tinned roe from it don't know what they do to it but I can only describe it as disappointingly nasty, I mean how can you ruin roe? Anyhow that's not why I won't go back it's because on when of the very few times I tried to eat a donner kebab it came with an extra topping of blood all over the pitta bread. The only good thing that's come out of it is that I don't eat donner kebabs at all now. Shame I thought it was a half reasonable to medioka place but just can't get over my experience.

Visited recently, lots of variety on the menu, reasonably priced, and what I opted for was decent. Will visit again to sample other items I didn't get to try.
