Never again. Last time I had fish and chips here I was not happy with the quality but I was late home and passing so thought I would try it again. The chips were burnt and very overcooked and the haddock was a small thin fillet with hard overcooked batter. It tasted like old oil and was put in the bin. There are cheaper fish and chip shops in other villages close by.

Visited the fish and chips shops as a family. These are the best fish and chips I’ve tasted in a long while. Food was piping hot and the mushy peas delicious! Was able to sit and eat in which was fab. Lovely lady who was cooking and serving. Have visited a couple of times before and have never been disappointed.

Extremely poor, chips were very pale in colour, greasy and undercooked. The curry sauce was disgusting it certainly did not taste of curry and spoilt our meal and cost £23 for 3 of us. Will certainly not be going there again.

We decided to try Farrington’s fish and chips, what a mistake. The fish was very small, greasy, the fish did not smell very fresh. The chips were undercooked, very pale in colour and chewy. We were unable to eat most of it. Needless to say, will not be going back. Very disappointed and the most expensive fish and chips we have had as take-away. What a shame.

After visiting the above back in Feb my friends and I went back today for more as it was really lovely £5.50 for cod/chips/mushy peas and tartar sauce and a slice of Lemon +a mug of tea. This time only to find that it has been bought by Farringtons and we got fish and chips a lot of the chips were crispy chips chewy on the outside it was either the wrong potatoes or not cooked properly not that nice and the fish was fairly strong that with a latte in a cardboard mug came to £8.50 also had to wait a lot longer will not be going back again.

Stumbled across this fab cafe whilst walking along the canal from Limpley Stoke. It has fully embedded gluten free options which is a rare find. Apparently they have a gf food stall at the Bath Christmas market. Banana, chocolate and walnut cafe with a coffee was great. Marshfield ice creams there too. Full meals served too.

Best fish & chips we've had while visiting the UK! We arrived shortly after opening, and the food was freshly made. My husband and I shared a large cod & and chips, and it was the right amount of food for two. We visited Bath a week prior on a tour, and the guide told us this was the best place. We hadn't had the opportunity then to try it, and we made a point to do so upon our return visit. I'm very glad we did!

I don't know how previous reviews were so positive, the fish itself was dry and chewy, the batter was soggy and had an odd texture. The chips were also soggy. I have had chips here before and they were awfully soggy. Peasedown deserves better.

Had to wait almost 2 hours for a driver and got the food later and most of it was cold and didn’t get any sauce which I asked for
