Avoid this place. I was excited about my second visit to this takeaway and I was so disappointed. Not much stock, rude African lady, who was unhelpful. The fried chicken was tasteless, the curry goat was ok but not much given and they give you so much rice and peas with little meat. The kitchen looked dirty. I will never go there again.

Never got no fish cakes. Every time I order its the same. Always out of stock by midday. Do more fishcakes. Bloody joke

I have had the pleasure to host my events and receive catering from them personally and they always deliver. Did piping hit, tasty and generous portions. Thank you Desmond

I came in a few weeks ago to get a beef patty, and realised it was shop bought. It was from the brand of juicee patty that you can get from morrisons or asda. I know this because I used to buy from Morrisons for £1, until I got sick of the taste which tasted fake. NOT a Jamaican patty at all. Trying to scam people thinking it's made in store which is not and charging £2.50 for one patty. Please if your going to sell Patty's make sure its Authentic. Reading needs to have more Authentic Caribbean takeaway. I'm from London where there are so many Authentic Caribbean takeaway which taste good. I'm ashamed this is in Reading. Do better!

The best Caribbean cuisine is town I’ve known this restaurant and the people for over 10 years every day I go to this place I leave the place smiling 100% recommend this place if you like food and well respected staff

I go to seasons most Saturdays after church. Food is always 10/10. The employees are super friendly and me and the girls always know we gonna eat good. Definitely recommended

I ordered curried mutton with rice, what actually came was a container rammed full with rice and dry mutton pieces put on top, the whole thing was very dry, I have had many curried muttons before and they had sauce the mutton is cooked in, that rammed container full of rice cost me over £13 won’t be ordering again 😤

Just ordered food from Seasons for our office and everyone loved it. The Quality of the food was amazing! The taste of the Patties, Jerk Chicken and Dumplings was excellent!!! Service was ontime and Desmond was excellent in his customer service. Totally amazing place and all meat was Halal!! Highly recommended!

Don’t want to give a bad star rating because the food it very nice but for the past 3 times this month that I have ordered there has been something missing on each order please rectify this for future as you have ticked the recept saying you have put items in bag and today two items missing

Great food, but you'll have to accept friendly customer service is not their string point. Also noticed that the prices have really gone up. Its a pity as they'll push their customers towards fast food out Chinese options, which are much better value for money. Shane really....

Food was dry, mutton curry with hardly any mutton, just 4 big bits of bone, a tea spoon of veg, rice and peas was alright as you would expect. Come on Seasons, you used to be decent.

Definitely recommend! Such great food, They’re also halal which makes it greatly diverse. I always get it steaming hot which is great as it’s hot enough to eat when i get home. The staff are also kind and greeting. Fish cakes are 10/10

Food very dry no gravy and chicken was well overcooked

Food is always dry, not enough gravy, and each time I request more gravy they never give me it. They never seem to have soup or fishcakes! Food is banging but too dry.

Food was delicious & portions were big. Though it was slightly late the driver explained and was very nice! Would buy again!!

Honest to god the stew beef…never had beef as dry as that in my life, was literally that dry I struggled to swallow it, not just that it was so bland, it went straight in the bin. The same for the curry chicken, how can you cook chicken on the bone and it taste so dry , had a strange curry powder taste to it too and again lacked any flavour. The rice and Mac & cheese was ok but won’t be going back after that. To add the large meal ordered come in separate containers which made it awkward to eat.

Oxtail was amazing. Good amount . Very diverse culturally. Can't fault it

Ordered ackee and salt fish with rice and peas. The meal was delivered nice and hot ...tasted delicious. Would order it again.

The packaging of the food wasn’t good. Items should have been in separate containers eg, salad, rice; sauces and gravy too- not everyone wants ketchup on their food or gravy over their rice.

CON: Disappointing. Ordered to give Seasons yet another chance. Jerk chicken was DRENCHED in this toxic sickly sweet chilli ketchup sauce, i don’t know what type of jerk that is, never seen anything like it. The actual chicken was unseasoned and had no jerk flavour. Despite there being some type of seasoning on it, it was spicy but it had no flavour, which is the whole point of jerk! To have flavour! The rice and peas is usually nice but again mine was drenched in the horrible sticky sauce. A shame that a West Indian restaurant has to rely on sweet chilli sauce for flavour 🤦🏽‍♀️ Seasons do better. PRO: only reliable meal to order from seasons that has been consistently nice/enjoyable is the curry mutton and rice. So shoutout and thanks to whoever makes that.

Lord of mercy that food slaps different!!! Definitely worth the money.

Food is always good but was missing chicken Pattie

I didn't appreciate the delivery person leaving food at entrance of building instead of delivery the food to my door!

This restaurant without a doubt is amazing. Some people talk about long waits or slow service, but this food is quality food prepared with expertise, it is not fast food. I have never had any issues ordering in store or on Deliveroo. Definitely one of my comfort food places.

Do not order from this place! The chicken was not cooked. Everything was dry apart from the macaroni cheese, which was soggy and wet instead. The sickness I feel after eating the food. Such foul and disgusting, don’t waste your money unless you want a very bad stomach after

Ordered large Jerk chicken and was mostly bones and rice barely any sauce so rice was quite bland and tasteless too much rice to chicken perry's is much tastier

My colleague and I were working in the area, he invited me to go to seasons to try some Caribbean food. I was sceptical and unsure at first but my word , it was some of the best tasting food I have ever had. The service was good and welcoming and the food was extremely tasty. I highly recommend the Roti and seasons take away.

Dont buy anything from Seasons!!!! I recently broght jollof rice and the guy was so lazy he couldnt cook the chicken and it was raw. i thought African cusine was better than this

Have ordered several times from Seasons. Friendly staff. As a Trini, I rate their goat roti. Their veg roti includes other veg which I know is not authentic but I love as it means less potato but still plenty channa... Always on the menu when we come to Reading...

Called at 3pm an was told a curry chicken would tek an hour an half to deliver Alf mile on oxford road. Cancelled right away! Dey love to keep you hungry. Bun this place! Probably run by wannabe rastas

Rude business - called twice to speak to the manager and they put the phone down on me twice and I also heard the manager in the background say "just cut them off" - wouldn't waste my money here.

We tried Seasons for a takeaway delivery on Saturday night. It came so quick, 30mins and my house is hard to find on the other side of town. Staff were really sweet, enjoyed ordering here. The food was not spicy but was very tasty. Nom nom.

This is my favourite place to eat in Reading bar none. Friendly staff, great value for money and the food is consistently tasty and full of meat. No hunting in the sauce here! Stewed chicken, oxtail and mutton curries are my favourites, get the roti while it lasts!

Gorgeous food. Can't sit down in the shop. Just take away bug well worth a visit.ladies in the shop were lovely too. Parking was abit difficult though. Lots of choose. Cakes were delicious too.

Ordered takeaway for a family birthday meal. What a waste of money. Every single meal had to be warmed up. Mutton Curry dry as a bone and tasteless. Fried fish meal - fish totally bland, no flavour. Vegetarian curry meal - curry once again tasteless and bland. Ended up seasoning it when I heated it up. Chicken curry meal - plain, tasteless, bland. Jerk Chicken meal - utterly bland. My baby son polished it off. That tells you how flavourless it was. Macaroni pie - not even salted, but it did taste good once I'd warmed it up and added salt. Sides overpriced - Plantain £1.50 for 5 slices so not even a quarter of a plantain! Coleslaw - £1.50 for 5 level tablespoon! Would never order from Seasons again. Feel robbed as food was awful.

Lovely staff but, food tends to be a bit dry and takes a millenia for food to be cooked.

Long delivery waiting time then 40 mins late to find out that the order wasnt complete as the lady burnt the pattys hideous customer service!

Seasons food is always great all year round in ever season there is great food for ever taste buds.

Curry mutton disgusting £10 wasted

Packaged well. The order arrived on time and delivery man was polite. - Large Jerk Chicken with Rice and Peas (£11.50) The chicken was slightly dry, but tasty. There was a lot of rice, and I think about half a chicken. There was some mildy hot sauce on top. - Plantain (£1.50) There were 3.5 small slices of plantain which is a rip off. - Banana Cake with Custard (£3.50). A little on the dry side, seems like it was bought and not homemade. Not enough custard either. £2.50 is the maximum that should be charged for a slice of cake and dollop of custard. I will order again but only a mains since it looks like anything else is over-priced.

Ordered curry mutton and it was absolutely apauling. Defiantly not carribean food actually threw it away because it was that bad. Ordered the food over the phone the lady seemed to have the biggest attitude for no reason

Quality food freshly served. With a great selection of traditional recipies by friendly staff. Recommend a visit if looking for a new experience.

A real taste of the carabian food

Order my food at 1953 was told 45 mins to 50 mins for delivery after hour and 10 mins later called them and wad then told another 30 mins wait. Absolutely shocking will not be using again

Very disappointed with the service and the quality of the food. One it was very expensive, two it was late, three the food was so dry that we had to throw all of it in the bin. I have eaten the same caribbean food in Birmingham and it was so delicious.

So orderd thinking was pickin up from London rd , got there wasn’t opened so had to pick up Order from Oxford road was not happy bunny , food was average, communication was mute , would NOT RECOMMEND

Simply Reading's finest when it comes to Caribbean cuisine!

I don't ever write a review but I was so disappointed with the food, service and most importantly the price, let me explain. Yesterday I bought a takeaway from Seasons Caribbean Cuisine. I ordered a large rice & peas, large curry chicken curry and jerk chicken. i didn't realise until I got home that I have paid £15 for a small rice & peas with veg instead of salad, small curry chicken and a small portion of jerk chicken. the curry was not season it got no taste, half a rice & peas and half veg crammed in together, the jerk chicken was not seasoned thank god for the BBQ jerk sauce. the service was so slow one customer got fed up and walked out the shop. The quality of food and service have dropped dramatically. To say I was disappointed is an understatement.

I can not explain now amazing the jerk chicken and dumplings are. Staff are lovely too. Highly recommended
