Fast and friendly service from Shaun and the food was lovely too! The pub was quite busy as the time too and everything was perfect.

Shaun was very lovely helping us with ordering are food he was very polite and very funny … the seahorse is a very lovely place to go to eat or even drink 100% recommend

Seated at table 38 walk in . Whilst ordering at the bar it became apparent that the prices on the special Christmas menus do not match those at the till .I noticed the non alcoholic berry fizz cocktail was priced at £3.99 instead of £3.49 as advertised . The New York Christmas special was £13.49 at the till in place of £12.49 .as advertised .I queried this with Mathew . He mentioned to his colleague that the pricing on the menus was incorrect. He appeared to be struggling to rectify the situation within the till. I decided to change my order so as not to cause any further delay to people queuing behind me .I feel I cannot be the only person to have queried this error and have decided to draw your organisations attention to this false advertising . In addition I ordered the jerk chicken but will not order again as it appeared as if it had been boiled rather than grilled . Had a great Sunday roast and you get a drink with it for £10.00 great value for money. Beef was very nice and it all tasted great fantastic friendly staff too.

Food was lovely tonight but made even better by the exceptional service from Siobian. She was extremely accommodating and made us want to visit the restaurant more often, thank you Siobian!

I went in with family got fish and chips my fish didn't taste good at all still waiting on my refund I'had a nasty bug all week from it being sick not good at all all I can say that staff where great with us

This was worst dinner ever it was cold and chips been reheated, chicken hot in middle onions soggy, sons dinner a burger was cold, my husband dinner was certainly not sizzling. It was a disappointment as hardly get out. I won't be recommending you to friends. It's a shame used to be really nice food and menus I don't like being lied to by a member of staff my husband just said to staff it was quiet tonight he said no it was busy when about 10 tables empty,

Went to the seahorse with my wife at around 7ish sat on table 4 we have a lovely meal which was phenomenal may I also ad also it was excellent service the too girls on the bar Shannon and Stacie was so so lovely and happy was served quickly by them both very warm and welcoming will definitely be back again.

Visited for breakfast before a stroll along the front to marvel at the cranes breakfast was very good and excellent value will be back

Popped by on business & saw they had Xmas Lunch available whilst normally at Seaside I would opt for Fish & Chips I had the Festive Roast Turkey Dinner it was lovely -Piping hot and served to me by Ed & his team with smiles & lots of enthusiasm ....Looking forwards to visiting again on Friday for Round Two

This place is ok if you like microwaved food. It's cheap and the portions are a fair size but the food is terrible quality!

Although there is plenty of other places to go for lunch, we just can't go past this place. Staff are great especially Carole who always seems to serve us and was fantastic again on Friday, they just can't do enough for you. Even though it's busy we don't ever have to wait long for our food. Just keep doing what you're doing!

Ate here today. Food was fine and service was good. The only complaint was where we were seated. They sat us next to a doorway. Every time someone came in or out they knocked into my partners chair. We asked if the door could be locked as there were two other exits but the staff member said ,it couldn't. They also couldn't reseat us. I would refuse that seat again. It spoilt the whole evening.

A lovely meal, very reasonable, quick service and good atmosphere. We had four children with us and were given a booth with a television at the end - brilliant for the kids. Will definitely visit again

Met up in Liverpool with my lovely friend of many years..we left 'the Husband's home alone' ..and decided to catch the bus to New Brighton..we wanted to enjoy a chat over some nice food and wine..the Seahorse was an excellent choice..near to public transport and a nice welcome when we arrived..we ordered our meals and really enjoyed the food which was delivered hot and tasty by a very pleasant young lady..a nice chilled bottle of wine and our lunch was complete..

Stopped off for a bite to eat with my wife. Food choice very good and staff very efficient especially Carole....

We popped in yesterday for lunch after our really enjoyable visit last month, and we've got to say it was fantastic again. Carole served us again, and we got our lunch really quickly. The service is fast and efficient yet everyone who works there is warm and friendly. Once again our food was lovely. Well done everyone, see you next month!

Visited this restaurant with my children who have special needs I explained my situation too a very understanding waitress Chloe who seated us very quickly at a booth made my children feel very comfortable and at ease very polite impeccable customer service and thanks too Chloe can visit again 5star service

Has a good menu and drinks. We had hunters chicken was lovely and juice. Can get packed weekends and holiday time good for familys

Called in this morning for breakfast, food was great , tasty and hot. Carole served us and couldn't have been nicer.

The freakcake was unedible as it was still frozen. The apple and cranberry spritz was awful the soda was flat.

Always Great food, Fresh and the best, plenty on the plate. Can get packed too, especially Sundays. So go a little later in the day, Superb service with a smile

Visited the restaurant today as wee usually come here as it has never failed to satisfy in the past. The restaurant was busy as was expected die to it being half term however we was seated promptly. Our waitress Ellen (a lovely young girl) was very pleasant and always smiling. regardless of it being busy she was very attentive to all our needs, she definitely made our evening so thank you. The food was tasty, hot and very filling and arrived quickly, so hats of to the chefs. overall it was a very pleasant evening and we'll be back soon.

Went to the restaurant with friends and received excellent service from very friendly and welcoming staff, particularly from Chloe who served me and my group, superb customer service. Food arrived quickly and was prepared to the best standard. Have returned a number of times since and always get the same great service each time.

On Friday lunchtime, we popped in to The seahorse for our lunch, and we had the most amazing time. Our waitress Carole was fantastic, her smile was huge and her demeanour friendly. We'll be back to see Carole next week, (she handed us a card for a trip advisor review and we don't normally do them at other restaurants but our service was that good we think this one is well deserved).

I visited this pub over the weekend and ordered the fish and chips which was lovely. It was brought out by a lovely young lad named Connor. He took care of me and my friends to make our visit great. 100% will be back

I popped in for a pint with a friend after finishing work and thought it was nice and clean and had a relaxed atmosphere. I also received a warm welcome and brilliant, quick service from a lovely girl at the bar named Stacey. If you're in the area and fancy a drink, I highly recommend visiting the place!

My boyfriend and I visited here for our early Valentines meal, and had Stacey as our waitress yesterday afternoon. She went all out to make sure we had a lovely experience & is definitely a credit to the Seahorse! :-)

Came in today for my friends 31st birthday, the place was very clean and food was prompt, I asked the lovely lady Emily at the bar to help me with a birthday surprise for my friend to which she put candles on a cheese cake which Chloe served to us, my friend was thrilled, little things like this make a big difference ! Thanks girls.

This is the first time me and my partner had come the sea horse. We came in and was greeted by a lovely waitress called Steph. We were warned that would be a 30 minute wait but was seated in 10. The food was lovely and came out quickly considering it was busy. Our waitress Stacey was very attentive with clearing our plates and brought us our desserts. We will be back.

Visited here in Tuesday and it was such a pleasant visit.

Came in for a lunch with my sister, had a lovely meal for a great price and the staff were brilliant. Visited here this Tuesday night and had a really nice time.The food was great.We especially liked the Vegetarian fish & chips.Such a good idea!The place has a relaxed atmosphere and is really well decorated.The lighting is subdued with no really bright lights which I love.The lady serving us was so friendly and polite,as were the bar staff.I havn't been here for a long time,but will definitely be back very soon.+++++

Called in for a meal after going to the cinema. Fantastic and prompt service, very friendly staff and extremely clean. Plenty of seating and nicely spaced out tables so not overcrowded

Walked in and come straight out again the seating and tables were very filthy and sticky with not being wiped down correctly plus there was no atmosphere

We were originally going into the local Wetherspoons where we normally eat, but as they had no steaks we came here instead. We're so glad we did, our food was lovely as was our Waitress Carole, and the lady who served us at the bar (don't know her name but she was lovely - I think she was the manager as she wasn't in a uniform) was extremely helpful pointing out the selections on the menu which we really enjoyed. We'll definitely be coming here in future now. Well done

My husband and I and our 3 kids visited the seahorse tonight for our tea . We haven’t tried this restaurant before so we thought we’d give it a go and we’re so happy we did . We got a table straight away even though the place was busy .

I am disabled and can not sit in chairs that touch my sides or have hard bottoms and even though the restaurant was busy the hostess was lovely and seated us in a booth. Couldn’t have asked for nicer serves. The food was served quickly and the quality was brilliant

Visited on Sunday expecting it to be a long wait but were seated straight away.Food was lovely and kids were very happy with their hot dogs and ice cream.Excellent service from Alicia. Very attentive, friendly and great with the kids.

Food was of poor quality. Lots was left on plates. Won't be returning for that meal again. Service was good however.

Our 3rd Xmas Dinner at The Seahorse, New Brighton and perfect as usual. This is our preferred eating place when we visit the area. Great food, service, surroundings and value. Highly recommended.

We often visit New Brighton & we always meet friends at the Seahorse for drinks or dinner. This was the second time we had Christmas Day lunch there & it was lovely.. the atmosphere wasn’t asas good as the previous Christmas as the music wasn’t very festive. Wasn’t as busy maybe this made a difference as people left quite early.. food quality service & value for money is exceptional though.

Lovely staff but the food is mediocre at best... Cauliflower that dissolved in your mouth but Yorkshire pudding you'd need a chisel to break into on the same plate. Christmas pudding was so over microwaved it was chewy at the edges.

Eaten and drank here many times but food went down hill quick. My usual burger choice wasn't nice. Staff seemed rushed off feet even tho not busy. Long waits. Shame

Very disappointing meal. Food was cold, steak was overlooked, service was poor. I would not recommend Sea Horee for food but won't let this put me off going to other Hungry Horse pubs.

Visited here on Sunday 12th November with the family for lunch. Nice and busy and had to wait for a table to be cleared as there were 6 of us .. no problem. Got a round of soft drinks whilst we checked over the menus (which were sticky and really could do with a wipe over!!) Once we decided what we were having, myself and my son-in-law went to the bar to order, they have 2 queue lines and there were about 4-5 people waiting to place their orders.... and this is where the staff issue comes in .... whilst waiting to place our orders, we had to wait longer as 2 young girls were too busy talking to each other and it wasn’t work related as we all could hear what they were saying, so after about 2-3 minutes they finished their conversation and 1 girl then went and served the drinks she had for a customer whilst the other took our order (no apology for the delay)We ordered 2 x quadzillas (2 x chicken breasts, 2x beef burgers, cheese, sauce and onion rings with fries and coleslaw £11:99 each and very tasty and good value for money.We also ordered a chicken combo for £11:99 but the chicken was a bit dry but apart from that, it was good.We also ordered a Sunday roast (12:00) which came with a giant Yorkshire pudding, everything was good apart from the roast potatoes which tasted like the had been roasted earlier in the day and then just flash fried when needed (not good) We also ordered a mixed grill (£11:99) and again this went down well apart from the steak which was a bit dry. We also ordered 2 x kids meals and they were fine.A very busy place with lots of tables so there is a slight problem when pushing a buggy about and also a wheelchair, there is just enough space to walk between the tables.The toilets are clean and tidy although there was only 1 cubicle available in the gents as the other 1 was locked but no-one was in. The tap is loose on the middle sink so you have to be careful you don’t scald yourself as it moves. There is hand washing liquid and a electric hand drier.The air freshener could do with renewing as there was a stale smell in the air.I would visit here again if we come back to New Brighton just for the quadzilla and to see if the staff are better and the sink tap is fixed.Staff need to remember ... customer 1st.

I love the halloumi and chips, but this isn't the first time they haven't had it in. It's really annoying when your choice is already limited being vegetarian, to only have your choices further reduced. I didn't fancy anything else on the menu, so went for the pasta, which was a disappointment in both quantity and quality (thought the hungry horse was about good portion sizes?). If the one thing they're supposed to be good at, portion size, is no longer the case I think I'd rather go elsewhere. That and the disregard of cartering fully for their vegetarian customers.

Loved it. Quadzilla burger is brilliant. I could not finish it but I shall return to try again once I have starved myself for about a month.

When this place opened it was bustling and still gets busy but the food is now horrendous. Visited for a meal one afternoon recently. Ordered from 2 for £7.50 (or similar) menu. "New Yorker" a "NEW" Thai Green Curry and a kids hot dog meal. Hot dog was like something that was barbecued 3 days before. 3 year old wouldn't even entertain dipping it in tomato ketchup. Same for the chicken in the new yorker. A Hunters Chicken that had been grilled, or more likely microwaved for that long it had removed all moisture. The ready meal curry was cold by the time it reached the fork as it was served in a freezing cold bowl, albeit with half a chopped chili on top.Honestly the worst meal I've had out in ages. A real shame the Harvester up the road is closed, else I'd have gone there. Service wasn't particularly great but I'd struggle myself to be enthusiastic about presenting that mess to people. It's cheap but that doesn't mean it should be so blatantly poor.

My family visited the Seahorse on Saturday. It was very busy but we were seated and served promptly. The food was great and the kids enjoyed themselves.

I have visited this restaurant often as my hubby and I enjoy the food and the service here.Sometimes there are too many children making too much noise but I realise that the parents are to blame for that not the restaurant and we put up with it but ideally would prefer the surroundings to be quieter. Also would like to hear a bit of sound from T.V. as it is hard to lip read what they are saying on the news. It doesn't have to be loud but we would like to hear it at some of the t.v's. Very clean too.

My party of 10 attended last night, we were seared straight away and our mains came in good time, then it went down hill. Once we were finished we waited at least 15 minutes for someone to clear our table, 3 waiters walked past and not one of them cleared it. We had to ask for it to be cleared. We then had to wait 50 mins for our desserts, then they came out two at at time, and they forgot one, when we questioned this we were told they only had one person on desserts on a Saturday evening!! Not once did we get an apology. This is 3rd time I have been here and 3rd time we have been let down, I won't be returning.

Book a table first as it was busy and we turned up on spec but we were still served and no issues with this

Seahorse . Good pint. Staff not interested in serving. Chatting to each other. Pumps dirty. No crisps or peanuts as waiting in delivery. What pub completely runs out? Answer by barmaid was we're rubbish arnt we. Not impressed.

The service behind the bar is always dreadful and food is not as good as it once was. We had to give up waiting at the bar for a drink after 8 minutes and then joined the large food que to order drinks and food. The food menu was missing several items and sweet potatoe fries where ordered but never arrived with our order and told they had non left and no alternative. Sizzling plate with chicken skewers was cold with some raw onion at the bottom. Service didn't come back to the table to check if we were satisfied so just left saying noting and feeling upset. We have had several visits here and the last 2 visits have been the same unfortunately so we have decided never to return.

Have been here quite a few times and have had different views on each occasion nothing too detrimental but some times. better than others, but have to say I enjoyed it this time I had a chicken coated in breadcrumbs with onion rings, corn on the cob and chips with chip shop curry sauce I found everything nicely cooked hot and well presented hence enjoyable, it is a busy restaurant which can make it difficult to get a table straight away.

we eat here regularly but have found it has dropped standards, and on two visits recently we have had to return meals due to foreign objects in them. The first was a large piece of fried plastic, and when the manager was informed he simply asked if I wanted another meal! we explained we wanted to know how it got there and he said he would go find out - an hour later we left as he didn't bother telling us. My little boy wanted to return this week so we thought we would give it a go - surprised to get burnt chicken drowning in Grease with cheese on top to cover the burn......and a real human eye lash inside the chicken!Toilets also need a real good clean. there are a number of restaurants in this little square and I would say the others offer better value for money and quality of food at the moment. I hope they sort it out, as my little one loved it here!
