Really great tasting fish,chips and mushy peas. Yummy yummy and great service from the lady serving.

This used to one of the best chippy ,but after going in today if was vile ,he put the fish in the box first follwed by the chips what was rock hard ,,not cooked I’ve had more fish on a Asda fish finger ,and wasn’t cheap ,nearly £12.00 I will not be going there ever again,money is hard to come bye now day ,but they not be having anymore of my money

I come to this chippy when I'm visiting family. Great portions, and the fish is simply delicious. It's cooked to perfection.

Visited the chip Saturday it was disgusting all the covers were chips and fish are kept were filthy with grease ordered chips gravy and fishcake twice said couldn't take cash as no change in till pay by card he was waiting for the person who cooks to come in she was outside some more people came in and ordered the lady came in then and said only enough gravy for 2 the chips were just warm and been warmed up they were hard she took a small carton out of were fish is kept warm and put a bit on each one went outside and tasted the meal it was disgusting binned it used to love this chip shop havent been for a while and won't be going again think it must have changed ownership as the gentleman that used to be there was first class

Use old fish that reeks of ammonia. Staff were not pleasant.

Decided to have a chippy tea. A young man serving scratching his head at the same time as packing the food. Didn’t get any better when we got home. The chips was like rubber some hard not cooked. The peas was dry and fish tasteless with chewy batter. What on earth has happened to this chippy?

Disappointing! Food was late, stone cold, sauce must have evaporated on the way here. Very rude delivery driver.

Only had takeaway so couldn't comment really on atmosphere but the food was great and the staff really friendly

What a shame was really good last year. Food mediocre and chips sad with black bits. The staff were grumpy. Maybe wrong time of day but food should be freshly made to order. Looking at reviews seems to have gone down the chip.pan literally. Hopefully not a vacant sign next time I visit.

What has happened to this place???? Use to be the best in town. Chips were cold. Half was over cooked and hard others were under cooked. Such a shame

Just had a takeaway from there, chips were disgusting, they were like rubber, the gravy had big lumps in, drinks were warm as the fridge was turned off, threw it away. Overpriced and wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy, wish I could have given it 0 stars!

Arrived to place an order having tried online to place an order which didn't go through. Greeted with we don't do that, rather than I'm terrible sorry the function isn't working. The lady then decided to tell us we were lucky, just about to do the last fry just before 7.30pm, as they need to be out by 8pm. This kind of conversation continued with the lady becoming more argumentative at every question. Sorry, I lost patience and left. She clearly didn't want to sell me fish and chips. I cannot comment on the food, but the service and atmosphere get only 1 star.

Absolutely ridiculous! says on website they open at 11 was sat waiting 45 minutes for them to open. Door says they open at 10 website site says 11... lost a few customers

Ordered sausage&chips steak & kidney pie potato fritters peas and gravy. The order took forever. Was waiting for potato fritters and sausage to be cooked. While I was waiting I noticed the guy had prepared the rest of my Order and put it I. The hot cupboard. So when I got it home the pie was just warm and the gravy was lumpy and the chips were soggy. Don’t no one know how to make crispy chips anymore. I won’t be go again. I was dissatisfied.

Don’t bother with this place I’ve ordered they’ve took money out my bank twice then decided they can’t do the order but I’ve got to wait up to 5 days for my refund absolutely shocking plus the woman on the phone was rude and put phone down it’s not her losing money she’s probably just waiting to end her shift so disrespectful I don’t know how they dare put on Facebook asking for customers I certainly won’t be going there again and I will be telling my friends all money no respect

Used to be a brilliant chippy in Sutton until it went under new management for the past 4 times ive visited in the dine in bit they have always got my order wrong so ill dont think ill ever be going back here again.

My wife and I called in after being to the Dentist for an hr. We needed lunch as we are having a new kitchen fitted and cannot cook at home. Like a previous correspondent we came here in the past and the fish and chip was always excellent. Not so this time! We ordered fish and chips batter well cooked, chips and mushy peas. The young lady went off with our order and came back with them in less than 4 mins, we were both suprised as we realised that the fish a d chips were not freshly cooked. Mushy peas looked so dark green they looked as though they had been dyed. There were plenty of chips but they were all stuck together and Luke warm. Fish was passable but once again luke warm. What has happened to this previously excellent fish cafe. Last time we were here we were lucky to find a seat. This time we were the only people in. All in all, pretty poor. Will not come again.

This chippy used to be incredible! Even the sitting in menu and food was amazing! WAS! The past few times we’ve been for a takeaway it’s been very average. However, went to visit for a sit down meal and there is nothing on the menu anymore, not only that but everything we asked for was not available. We asked for Pepsi’s and just got a can, no glass.(I’m not being snobby by all means about no glass but when you sit down in a place to eat you expect a glass) The food was disgusting I’m not even joking how bad it was. The chips was rock hard and luke warm. And I had a pie which was stone cold soggy and tasted awful! Honestly this place used to be the best and the food was always bang on! It’s not anymore! AVOID! Worst meal I’ve had in years 👎🏼

Called in today 28th Feb, me and my mate both had "homemade" pie, chips and gravy, with a tea and a very dry buttered cob. The pie was not homemade, the chips were not good and the gravy was undescribably very thick, infact it was so thick, it was 'set'.. Never ever again.. oh and it was £17.80 😂

Over priced, dry, staff don't care unless you are one of their friends. Really gone down hill in the last year, needs staff replacing as they obviously don't want to be there!

Waited 10 minutes to be served and the take out part was empty! Staff in the background filling and cleaning and kept saying just be a minute. By the time I was served there were several others in the queue. One customer behind me was complaining about missing food from their order which was met with quite aggressive questioning from the staff member!

Having tried others in town decided on this chippy omg chips are fantastic and the fish was cooked to perfection. Well done. Food not greasy like others in town. This is now my regular chippy wish I'd gone years ago.

Should probably update the opening times. Google says open until 8pm but apparently only open until 5pm. Woman in the shop gave me quite a dirty look when I turned up at 7pm.

A plate of grease. GROSS Food was cold. Meat looked like old scrapings. Avoid eating here Place was empty just after lunch time, so I should have known. Couldn't eat most of it. When I came out I felt sick and had to buy some gum to cleanse my palate.

Called today for take away, if you want food chucked at you served by someone with bad attitude ask for Jayden, he obviously thinks the job is beneath him, he needs customer service training another member of staff couldn't apologize enough, it should have been him to apologize, so it's bad review.

No problem with the food. Really nice. Biggest issue is that they now dont do small portions which is often what the pensioners and the children want. The cheapest fish is £3.75 and chips at £2.25. What's happened to the mini fish and kids chips?

Really nice food, superb quality and really fresh and tasty. COVID secure environment with plenty of measures in place for protection of customers... including a good one way system. Plenty of parking too. Slightly more expensive than local competitors but way nicer... homemade sauces a treat. Just a pity they forgot the battered sausage that was paid for!

One of the best In land fish and chip shops I've ever been to. Fish and chips is a must here but they do have a large choice on the menu if you fancy something else.

Nice food but there was along hair in my food went 2 weeks later fish was not cooked enough still raw why not give hats or nets to your staff your staff keep touching there face

Really disappointed today. I ordered through Uber eats. It was the first takeaway me and my partners had since lockdown. We added a dietary note, which got missed completely. Therefore leaving my partners meal not eatable. I contacted the shop twice, was told they did receive the note but had missed it. As they didn’t have enough staff on they couldn’t send a replacement nor was I offered any refund for his meal or anything else. Got to say Charlotte was lovely on the phone, but just disappointed at how it was handled. I appreciate the apology however it doesn’t make up for the fact my partner couldn’t eat his meal which left me not wanting to eat mine. Instead I had to cook for us, waste of time ordering.

Gyros tasted burnt and fish was oily/mush. Greasy chips too, peas were very nice though

Started driving for just eat this week and we collect from here food looks lovely so we had fish and chips I must say the fish melted in our mouth was lovely and we like it cause you keep us busy lol keep up the good work see you soon 👍👍

Been coming here on and off for years, went today ordered 2 large haddock and chips one with peas, took over half an hour for 2 cod which was mostly batter to arrive, did complain and send mine back as we ordered haddock and not cod didn't want to wait another half an hour for food, my partner ate his which was mostly batter, went to pay had to explain that I'd sent mine back be fore they charged me full price, they said they wouldn't charge for the peas, had to tell them they couldn't as I'd sent the whole meal back including the peas, still charged 11.97 for 1 wrong order and 2 cokes, can certainly say we won't be going back, gone downhill in my opinion
