Atlantis do a really nice Gyros ,chicken and lamb mixed is our favourite, Well worth a try 😋.

Food was terrible and made us feel unwell.

Don’t usually bother with reviews but Decided to give a second chance after a terrible visit about a year ago, Regrets. Grim food. Halloumi fries are pathetic and pure rubber not bad for a Greek chippy 🤣 chips small and brown. Barely any cheese and bad quality, doesn’t melt. Large condiments barely cover chips. Both times I’ve ordered been told foods ready before estimated time just to go and wait in shop 15 mins… only positive the battered sausage wasn’t bad 🤣 so many better chippys around to spend ya hard earned cash at x

Awful food. Fish and chips ordered. No actual fish in the batter. Just some rubbery batter. Really small portion of chips. Arrived luke warm. Nearly £10 and no fish. Also ordered via Uber eats and arrived in just eat packaging.

Every time I go into this chip shop, the elder woman (blonde/grey hair with roots) is HORRIBLE to her staff. The young girl who is always in the back looks so exhausted and overworked all the time, CONSTANTLY getting abused by the elder woman. I hope to god that young girl gets a new job, she is the kindest soul and deserves much more.

Food is was awful. Cold with no sauce even though i requested it. Over an hour late and had called to chase order several times. Will never order from here again.

Good place to.go if u like gyros

Just made an order on uber eat to be waiting 1 hour and 30 to have food that was missing and cold I had fish and chip and the fish was very hard and tased like it had been in the holding bay all day very disappointed as called the place and was not we can't do any thing with the miss orders

Ordered a meal and the delivery was over an hour late despite two phone calls to chase up. When order arrived missing things and no free garlic bread as advertised as order over £20. Food was cold when we got it and had to be warmed up. Won't be using again

Disappointing gyros after receiving a good recommendation. No sauce - was requested on both. Not enough chips and mixed meat ratio was 90/10. Wish I’d spent my tenner elsewhere. Sorry.

Awful! Ordered several times, always late and missing items. This time food was over an hour late and missing whole meals aswell as items in other meals. Other food was burnt and not nice. Awful quality. When complained got fobbed off and spoken to very rudely by manager. Family member had same experienced and when left a bad review, was blocked from ordering again. If you want your food on time and containing all you paid for I do not recommend atlantis. Will not be ordering again.

Couldn’t ask for a more warm welcome.Great staff. My partner has food intolerances & they were happy to help. Great fish & chips. Greek dishes tonight, all excellent. Will be back again. 👍

Really disappointed, I understand prices are going up and accept that , but when you order a large tray of doner meat and there's less than what you get in a small kabab it's disappointing considering the price . Been using these for many years but I'm done now.

Best chippy I've been to in ages. The fish is cooked fresh and the chips are delicious! Not only do they have the classic English chippy foods but lots of Greek specialities too (like gyros). But the best part is the staff: super friendly and welcoming. It's always a pleasure to go!!

Friendly staff with nice good food

Three deliveries either missing food or receiving other people's orders. Staff came across argumentative/defensive and adement they sent the right food when I showed I was unhappy my daughter wasn't eating with us. We won't be using them again which is a shame as we've enjoyed the food in the past.

Just had the chicken gyro meal asked for tomato and onion got lettuce and the chips were like chewing wood really disappointing

We've had some good food from here before but I won't be going again. We just had to wait 90 minutes for delivery which when it arrived was almost cold, the fish and chips meal...everything was soaked with oil, fish was soggy with it. The fish portion was also very small. I was shocked at how small the restaurant had cut the portion of fish for £8.50 it was really bad. The food was obviously hot when it was dished up as the polystyrene container was melted and misshapen. We're all feeling the rise in prices but if I'm paying £25 for a meal from a chippy for 2 adults and a child it had better be good and it wasn't.

Food was great, but ruined by the slowest delivery service I’ve ever known (specified for 6:10pm, only to arrive at 6:50pm). Also, note to kitchen staff - LEAVE MUSHY PEAS SEPERATE! My chips were so soggy.

I am giving this two stars for their politeness or it would be one went in and asked if they used vegetable oil to cook the chips the woman said yes and started to serve me some chips when the young man who works there said wait are you vegetarian or vegan and I said vegan even though I am vegetarian as I was intrigued what the difference would be he said we cook sausages with the chips so I said that's not okay for vegetarians and the woman said the vegetarian customers we have are okay with it.well it's not okay to this vegetarian and I don't know any others who would be happy with it either sorry

Amazing food!! We as a family hired a cabin for the weekend at Goosedale and ordered food from this fish bar! Service was amazing and the food tasted unreal especially the Greek food! Highly recommended if you live in the Nottingham area!

This is apparently a £3 chip cob with a child’s handful of chips that were Luke warm at best, so where my other chips, they look and taste old

Very big portions and very tasty however food usually takes a while depending on the time.

Had to stand waiting for 15 minutes to be served and the guy in front of me had been there ages too and a big queue forming behind me. Chips not great, but OK, fish didn't have much taste either. Price wise was OK. But come on guys pay attention to the customers who can actually be bothered to walk in the door rather than giving priority to just eat and point blank ignoring the rest of us stood in front of you.

The food was pathetic quality. The Halloumi Burger was the most soggy burger I have ever seen. The fish's batter was flavourless and tough, not crispy like batter should be. The chips were rediculously soggy and flavourless. And to top it off, we didn't even receive our drink or chips with the burger meal. The highlight of my order, was the curry sauce, which was ok, I guess. Really disappointed, because the last time I ordered from here, I got the greek food, which was delicious. I think Atlantis Fish Bar and Greek Grill, should just become Atlantis Greek Grill, because it definitely does not know how to make Fish or Burgers.

not too keen the cod tasted like fish, not impressed also mushy peas were completed smashed together and i like my mushy peas like normal balls not squished together. overall big no.

Before eating from this place I always review the reviews. I ignore anyone who mainly gives positive reviews without critiques and ignore the ones that only give negative reviews without compliments. This subtracts the fake and useless reviews. Unfortunately for these guys that was most of the reviews. So allow me to give you a balanced review. Ordered mixed kebab main and side of halloumi fries Pro: food wasn't too bad, tasted fine. Delivery was prompt. Service was good and price for the kebab was fair Cons: The hollumi fries was 3.50 and you get about 6-10 fries for that. I expected a little more. Also they were soggy as delivered in same box as wet salad and sauce. The kebab meat could have been cooked for a little longer as well. Despite this would probably order from here again. It has potential

I've been eating fish and chips from here for years. It's my local and they have recently changed management. It's fresh and delicious as always and they have plenty of new things to try. Definitely recommend to anyone in Hucknall.

Food was alright, but they cooked a large fish by mistake and asked me to pay the extra. Could have waited while the recooked but what were they going to do with the large fish. Then had to wait while they recooked battered sausages as the first ones got pinched by an online order. Food was alright, probably ok if you order online, but poor in store.

Waiting to long. Some customers not wearing masks. Social distancing not adhered. Chips poor quality.

Having waited 20 minutes for kebab meat and chips I was totally disappointed. Cheap meat. 1st visit and I won't be back.

They are brilliant here and the food is awesome! We had the mixed grill for 2 and there was more than enough food, even for the next day haha. Great value for money too. It was tasty, filling and reminded me of Lindos! Thanks

Had the gyros wrap was gorgeous as good as i used to get in Germany, first time ive found proper gyros and homemade tzatziki deffo get again ! Chips etc are very nice too 👍😁👊

The food is ok however the new management aren't as friendly the food isn't fast and most food isn't there when u want to order. Our order was forgotten and we had to find the staff about it. It is such a shame as the old managers were lovely and they were super friendly whilst waiting.

Since new management this place has really picked itself up !! Fish and chips were brill but if you fancy something a little different I couldnt recommend the gyros enough ! Tzatziki is 10/10 and is home made so your getting that authentic greek taste ! Place is spotless and prices are brilliant staff are really friendly and very accommodating!! Will 100% be back.

New owners need to sort it fast house specal no longer available call a donner meal chips hard like thay were cooked hours ago or part cooked chicken was so bland kebab no flavour salad not even crispy hope thay sort it been going there for years need a good chippy this end

To reiterate what other writers have stated, this is the best chippy in town - without doubt. I am not, local and always call in when I visit my son and family, because the service is so nice, friendly and welcoming; the produce is of excellent quality and the quantity is brilliant, (and we all get well fed - over fed, but that's a nice treat). You have to try it!!!!

The only place in England I’ve ever had a gyros pitta as authentic and as tasty as this. The portions are always very very generous. Pork gyros, chicken or both! The doner meat is also some of the best around. Your missing out if you haven’t been. It’s great to have a place like this around!

This is the best chip shop in Hucknall!!!! The staff are so friendly and the sizing is very generous. Getting married in July and having a chip shop lunch and this is the place I am going. I won’t go anywhere else!!

It may not be the biggest best looking chip shop in hucknall but the service and food is second to none. Always greeted with a friendly smile and great with children. A rare level of exceptional service makes it my number one choice!

It was about 1.15pm and we (my wife, adult son and myself), were totally unsure of what to do for lunch. I searched for options on my mobile and the most suitable option, offering OK opening times, a great menu and a very close location - so this was it. If I recollect correctly, I think the fish bar closed at 2pm as it was a Wednesday, and so we didn't have long for closure! I was welcomed by a lovely gentleman who turned out to be the owner and from Greece (many years ago). he made me very relaxed and was great in making banter. I went for fish-chips-lge peas and lge gravey for each of us. He apologised that he would have to cook the fish fresh which would take a few minutes - which was fine. He showed me the beautiful fresh cuts/fillets of cod, which were white and very large. Whislt cooking the fish he was preparing some barbequed chicken, which looked and smelt great. he explained what he was doing with them and how tasty they were and offered me a selection with a few chips in a serviette whilst I was waiting. THEY WERE ABSOLUTELY YUMMY! It wasn't long and the fish was done, so got he rest of the order ready then - nice and hot. Very good portions and lovely with it. while waiting he chatted about where he worked/lived previously and how happy he was in Hucknall, where he had now been for many years. it was great to listen to the owner and chat with him and he was very polite, corteous and generous. On wrapping all our order he gave us each a mini fish (about 5" long I would say - on top of what we had ordered, and for free). he was - is a lovely man and the whole experience and the food was absolutely lovely and great!!!

What a friendly, cheerful bunch the staff are - all their customers are greeted warmly and made to feel welcome (unlike other chip shops in the area - we have two that are closer to home but the service leaves a lot to be desired). The food is plentiful and tasty, especially the scampi. Five stars every time!

Think one pie we had were not today's pies, probably yesterday's reheat as it was dryish and looked overcooked compared to the other pie we had which seemed perfect. Chips not the best either.

Worst chip shop in Hucknall by far. Refries chip from afternoon. Dry fish same again probably from opening in afternoon.. Trust me you have been warned !!!

We visit every so often for a takeaway. Staff are so friendly and nice it really makes a difference to the place. Food portions are huge and really good value for money.

Go for our weekly chip shop treat virtually every Friday. Never had a bad take away from them and don't see any reason to even try elsewhere.
