Best vegan place in South Shields drinks are lush especially the lovely peppermint milkshakes also the cheeses are just too nice

Super cute and quirky, I totally fell in love with this place! As soon as you walk in you feel totally welcomed, they had lots of drink choices on offer from beers and cocktails to teas and coffee. I called in after work for a drink and a quick snack, opting for the nachos special they had on that evening, which were really nice. The staff were brilliant, all very friendly, helpful and cheery. I had seen their website prior to my visit, so was aware of all the wonderful things they do as an inclusive employer and it really does make it such a special venue. I highly recommend giving them a visit and supporting such an amazing community, I can’t wait to come back again!

This place is a gem. The food was delicious, as usual. And, the service was really good. The staff are young people who are learning to work within the hospitality industry. A fantastic team who look after their customers. The menu has something for all tastes and can be adapted to suit dietary needs. Go and try something new.

Fantastic little cafe. I love this place. The food is lovely and I love what they do as a company to help people who otherwise would struggle for employment. I had a savaloy dip, which is something I always miss since becoming veggie. It was delicious, just like the "real thing".

Mac and cheese Very nice, skillet was piping hot (thanks to the server who warned me) Sauce was a bit watery but a little mix with the fork sorted that out. All day breakfast cheesa Gorgeous hot sausage beans and cheese melted together on a bread of your choice, that went down a treat also comes with coleslaw and a salad Candy-cane milkshake Wow wow wow! What can I say about this? Omg …..the colour….. the flavour, the thickness spot on I’d definitely recommend this one with someone a sweet tooth Chocolate orange truffle Orange truffle was amazing. The only thing that was off putting was the dark chocolate/ coco Hazelnut White chocolate mocha The hazelnut shone through the whole thing which was surprising. From your local coffee chain this one beats them all Gingerbread latte Again another one for the sweet tooth fans out there this was more for a quick pick me up I’m cold I think, went really nice from being out in the rain today this is the first thing in my head…. I want a coffee or something to warm me up All this for 27 pounds….. you seriously can’t go wrong

One of our favourite places to eat. It is vegetarian heaven but the food is so good as a non vegi I also love it. The choice of top notch local beer is also excellent.

I opted for the battered halloumi, served with chunky chips and mushy peas. The halloumi was expertly fried, encased in a crisp, golden batter that complemented the rich, salty cheese. The chunky chips were perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, while the mushy peas added a delightful touch of creaminess to the dish. In addition to the delectable meal, SeaChange boasts an impressive selection of craft beers from local brewers such as Wylam and Two by Two Brewing. It's always refreshing to see establishments that support and promote local businesses. The diverse range of beers on offer, from IPA's to rich stouts, ensures there's something to please every palate. Genuinely the best place I’ve ever been to get something to eat! The staff were absolutely lovely , my vegan bombay cheesas was unreal, my vegan biscoff frappe was sensational, atmosphere was absolutely lush too. There is a vegan option for pretty much everything on the menu too! Me and one of the staff even had a bit of a chat about art since we’re both artists! Couldn’t recommend this place enough seriously:))

Really enjoyed my visit here! So pleased I stumbled across it as it was really worth it. Staff are friendly, there's live music every now and then, and a great veggie menu!

What a great find in South Shields. We wandered down Ocean Road slightly disappointed with the poor choice for vegans at the majority of fish and chip restaurants. We stumbled across Sea Change which we are told is South Shield's first Vegetarian and vegan cafe. The staff were so lovely and we later found out that the staff all have autism which is a great social cause. We chose off the pay as you feel special menu (So good we paid extra :)) which was home-made chickpea and tempeh chilli with fresh rice, hummus and falafel. Very tasty and healthy to boot. We came back to Sea Change for a lovely veggie breakfast the next day and had the best halloumi ever,

Whilst out for the day with 4 adults, 2 children and a dog we intended to have lunch at The Clifton Hotel but found they were closing early for the Jubilee bank holiday. At a loss we combed Ocean Road for a cafe and came across Sea Change. It ticked all the boxes. Dog friendly, vegetarian friendly and the staff were friendly too. The food was freshly prepared so don’t expect speed. Everything we had was piping hot, well presented and delicious. The children particularly enjoyed their milk shakes (Biscoff and Oreo) The chips were great and didn’t go hard and inedible like in some cafes. Didn’t sample it but the deep filled apple pie looked great so need to go back soon.

Lovely small charity run cafe which has a vegetarian and vegan menu. Friendly staff, clean tables. A variety of drinks, snacks, lunch and dinner options. They offer takeaway too. Also vegan cake options!!

We had a lovely selection of dishes this lunchtime - mushroom pate, curried avocado, jackfruit & black pudding (improvised dish as there was no tofu - worked really well!), a mini burger, italian toastie...all lovely. Delicious Biscoffi vegan milkshake and frappe, wonderful service.

We had a fantastic vegan Christmas Lunch. The meals were first class. The first course was Mushroom Bruschetta. I had a vegan meat loaf with stuffing, pigs in blankets, sprouts and roast potatoes and all the trimmings. It was delicious. This was followed by a pistachio torte. Really delicious meal. 3 courses for £15. Unbeatable!

Visiting for a short break all the way from Winchester and it looked a bit "different" when we found it on the internet. A great choice - my husband had a veggie "full English" and I had the sourdough spicy Cheesa - it nearly blew my head off, but was huge and incredibly delicious. I shall try to copy it at home! Good coffee too, Lovely service and a spacious, relaxed atmosphere. If we're up again we'll definitely return.

We had a lovely lunch at SeaChange today, the cafe was clean and has a wonderfully cosy vibe. The food was great with fantastic vegan options, the chunky chips were particularly delicious and we loved that there was a big range of vegan dips and sauces available. The service was friendly and attentive and the prices were also very reasonable. Thoroughly recommend a visit to SeaChange whether you are vegan or not.
