Excellent Homemade Soup, which makes all the difference, a great breakfast Very enjoyable experience. Highly recommend.definitely worth a visit.

An informal, unpretentious afternoon tea. Really friendly staff who readily catered for my fussy eater friend.

This is the best place to go for brunch! The food is absolutely delicious, top quality and presented well every time. I frequently order the Scrumptious Breakfast which is great value for money. The afternoon tea is also very popular and I look forward to trying this soon! The staff are so friendly and helpful. There are lovely outdoor booths which are dog friendly as well as indoor seating. I would highly recommend!

We went on Friday for afternoon tea. It was delicious and they did a special gluten free version for my daughter. She was thrilled and we loved the decorations for the Platinum Jubilee. The staff are so helpful and welcoming. A real treat.

Popped here after a long walk. I do not know what they did with this toastie but it was lovely - just what we needed. The staff were very friendly as usual and nothing was too much trouble.

Our folks were delighted with this! It was very fresh and tasty with a good selection of sandwiches and homemade cakes! They were also most helpful and accommodating. They do a delivery Service which is ideal for those who are unable to go out at the moment.

This is a wonderful cafe, with a lovely menu choice and home-made cakes. I can't recommend it highly enough! Lovely friendly staff as well. Wishing them every success with their new venture into Thursday evening meals.

I am disabled and when my husband went in to enquire about access, he was given the impression that they didn’t want non normal people as customers as we would lower the tone of the business. He has since been in to ask if they wanted to be part of Urmstons Wheelchair Scheme which they wouldn’t commit to. Why is it in this day and age people with mobility issues are treated like 2nd class citizens?

I have been to this cafe numerous times. From the first visit to each time me and my partner have visited, the service has been amazing and the food,especially the breakfast have tasted great.We took our 11 year old daughter with us on one visit she is a very fussy eater and can be very picky, well to our surprise she enjoyed it and asked us to take her back again.Honestly I have tried many different cafes across Manchester and Trafford, by far this is one of the best.Make sure you try it, I can guarantee you will not be disappointed.

I've visit Scrumptious several times now and every time the quality of food and friendliness of staff is excellent. I've mostly had the breakfast and it's always cooked to perfection, fresh, hot and full of great ingredients. And compared to others in the area and beyond (that's you Chorlton) fantastic value for money.

For a small place, Scrumptious has a lovely and imaginative menu. My husband and myself have now tried the all day breakfast omelette, the curry and many of the specials from the board.Unfortunately (!) we have been so full up that we will have to go again to sample the puddings and homemade cakes.

Food was better than average, vegetarian and lactose free options included room was a bit cramped upstairs but there were a lot of us!

My wife visited in the week and was so impressed that she booked a table for the weekend (advisable to book).The decor is bright and cheerful and you are met with a warm welcome from Julie. Child-friendly environment and the service throughout is smooth and unpretentious.We started with a pot of tea while we waited for the extremely reasonably priced meals that we had ordered. The orders coming out, such as the cooked breakfast looked perfectly done (next time).My Steak and Guinness pie was absolutely gorgeous, with the mushy peas and red cabbage accompaniments adding to the taste. My wife’s Meat and Potato pie was equally as tasty.Although there were some beautiful looking cakes on offer, I decided to save that experience for another time (and there will be..). Instead we ordered a pea and ham, and a red pepper and tomato soup to takeaway.Excellent food quality, great service, extremely reasonable price....... A hidden gem!!

We have been for breakfast twice and have enjoyed the whole experience. Not only is the food excellent and is freshly cooked to order, but the staff are so welcoming and friendly. Some lovely cakes on display and I plan to try the afternoon tea option in the near future.

Rung up first thing in the morning to book for an afternoon tea. They did say they normally need 24 hours notice but they squeezed us in. Wow! Lovely selection of food and the scones were still warm. The staff were lovely and so helpful. Highly recommended.

Called in here today for a cup of tea after the organised walk from St.Clements. So pleased to see it open on a Monday. It is under new management and wow what a difference. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The cakes, which are home made, all looked delicious. We settled on the ginger cake which was scrumptious . Rich, dark and moist with a gentle ginger flavour. Scrumptious Tea Room is very highly recommend, the new owner has made such a difference already. We will definitely be back.

Visited today for a mother’s day treat of afternoon tea . You were given a choice of sandwiches which was fab as anywhere else you just get what’s served . Sandwiches were very nice and were followed by scones with jam and cream and a selection of cakes . Mopped up with tea,coffee orange or presecco . £12.95 a head. Hosting was very good and a guitarist played ambient music. A lovely touch. Service was also excellent and the staff were very friendly . Would recommend and well worth another visit.

Visited last Saturday to celebrate a family 70th Birthday. The place is under new management and the owner and staff were welcoming and went out of their way to make the event enjoyable. Excellent choice of freshly made sandwiches, amazing scones with jam and cream, cupcakes and mini cheesecakes - all delicious! Only problem was too much to eat, but we were given boxes to take home any leftovers!!

Went to Scrumptious on thurday with a friend for brunch. Yummy breakfast and homemade scones after with jam and clotted cream. Met the new team who were all very friendly and bent over backwards to ensure our visit was perfect. We were even asked to sample Grandmas fruit cake, lovely. Will definately be back thank you

Nice enough for a cake and cup of tea but disappointed to find out that the majority of the tips go to the owners and not the waitresses who are always very polite. Not good in this day and age so won’t be back

I had to wait for a friend who had some errands to run so I called into the Scrumptious cafe. I only had a toasted teacake and tea but I was met with friendly staff and asked which one from the impressive array of vintage teapots i would like. It was a very pleasant soujourn. The teacake was nice and the tea was well brewed and plentiful. There were newspapers too if i had wanted one. I was not at all rushed . The crockery was charmingly mismatched and One pleasant surprise was getting a saucer that was the same as one in a service my nana had. That added immeasurably to !y enjoyment of what was a pleasant interlude. I can't comment on what I didn't have but the cakes under the glass domes also looked temptimg. Would stop off again when next in the area.

Sorry Scrumptious, your afternoon tea was not that!! Nothing homemade, could all be bought from local supermarket & no variety.One small pot of jam & cream, between 3 people!! Which should have been for one person. Macroons the size of 50p piece. Then we asked for another pot of tea & were charged extra! Even though one of our party had a glass of water. As for the service, customers should be spoken too in the proper way, not across the table in front of other guests, making everyone feel uncomfortable! I will not be returning or recommending, better places in the surrounding area.

I came here for afternoon tea after reading other good reviews and I wasn’t disappointed. The food was all fresh and tasty and the staff couldn’t be nicer. Selection of sandwiches, two scones each plus cakes and tea and coffee, well worth the money in my opinion and I will recommend it to anyone.

Visited here many times but this is my first review. Great food and lovely owners Jackie and John. I had the smaller breakfast beutifuly cooked.with great fresh ingredients. Missus had Eggs Benedict which was, as always perfect. Will definately do the afternoon tea one of these days.

We popped in here for a late lunch an hour before closing and would definitely recommend it. We were served quickly and the sandwiches were all fresh and tasty (and the cakes were pretty good too). Good cup of tea served in a proper teapot with teacup and saucer.

Walked right in and sat down. Clean with a homely atmosphere. Given menus and order taken quickly. Hollandaise sauce had not been made so could not have eggs Benedict. Most of us wanted an English breakfast so got exactly what we wanted. Everything was well cooked and tested good. Delivered in a reasonable time. The staff were very friendly and cooperative.

Dropped in for breakfast and then booked an afternoon tea for a few days later. Both were very tasty and very friendly staff.

We’ve tried to visit a few times at the wknd but unfortunately keep seeming to arrive on days when they’ve been closed for private events. Presumably it does say in advance on their Facebook page when they will close for private events so really I just need to remember to check.

Came in with my mum and sisters family last weekend for brunch.. fast service and food was all ok.. I had the eggs benedict which I felt the hollandaise sauce was a little too rich but everyone else’s food looked lovely especially the soup my brother in law had .. need to book on weekends as gets very busy

Visited here for breakfast recently, felt like we were intruding on a family occasion. We weren't made to feel welcome, weren't greeted, staff were indifferent and too busy chatting with the regulars to make us feel at home. Breakfast was OK, nothing special and probably won't be back

The problem here for me is access to the toilets which is up very steep stairs. The walls of the toilet need a deep clean.

Me senté en el jardín de atrás y tenía una taza de té y un bollo, las dos preciosas. La pareja nos sentamos junto a mí tenía el desayuno y parecía y olía delicioso! Si tienes un cochecito hay un paso y es un poco difícil de empujar en el jardín debido a presionar los pedales. Sin embargo, merece la pena. Volveré sin duda volveremos!

La decoración es preciosa, señora sirve. Tartas deliciosas. Envuelve también muy sabroso y abundante. Lo bajó un poco bebidas como el café era un poco frío y el chocolate caliente de bultos y barato.

This is the second time I've visited with my elderly mother who is disabled.They are so helpful getting mum to a seat and looking after her. Big pot of tea and China cups. Lovely soup with big thick slices of bread and Mum had a breakfast even though we were later than when it should have finished.No ramp so couldn't get the wheelchair in and probably not enough room inside for it anyway.

Went in with friends from work for lunch..table was reserved. Had soup and a sandwich...just lovely,,soup was delicious, sandwiches like doorstops!!! fresh and tasty.scones were lovely too, cant fault it!!great service,,friendly and efficient.would highly recommend..not over priced as some place in Urmston.

Me and my son went in for breakfast. I had the Deluxe breakfast which was absolutely amazing and my son had the pancakes. The portion of pancakes and bacon was huge and great value for money and the breakfast was an absolute bargain £6.95 for a large breakfast that consisted of 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 2eggs, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, black pudding, toast and a pot of tea. We will most definitely be visiting again. Best breakfast ever

Have visited tea room twice up to now. On first visit very much enjoyed lovely cream tea. Second visit enticed into trying a bowl of homemade vegetable soup, Pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it, Service excellent. Lovely decor. Definitely return and hope to enjoy the treat of afternoon tea.

We have been here half a dozen times or more. Mainly for breakfasts, however we had lunch this time and they didn't disappoint. The cheeseboard was great and food was as fresh as ever. We love it there. Definitely be back again soon.

As a local I much to often venture into Urmston center. I knew about and have seen this little café so thought I would pay a visit.. I'm glad I did, Urmston center cafes have lost a customer. The Scrumtious Café serves up great sandwiches and teas cakes and coffees.I had a prawn marie on brown malted bread which was a gut buster, it was packed and over flowing with a fresh prawn marie with a side of fresh salad and a few wafers of crinkle crisps.. It was very filling and very nice and well worth the money..The café itself is nicely decored with a good friendly atmosphere and the owners are all to ready in making your visit a good one..The added bonus ( unlike other cafes in Urmston ) this one has a nice rear seating area with large benches and a parasol, its sheltered and a good sun trap..I also noticed a couple of dog water bowls, so I think this café is dog friendly.. also there is space for parking up bicycles at the rear of the café..Great value for money, you wont be disappointed,.. I will be going back that's for sure..

Decent size with picnic tables.. ideal for smokers.Reasonably priced menu - oddly I struggled at first to find drinks prices... maybe I was looking straight past them.As with lots of Urmston centre, parking can be a bit tricky. Closest easy parking is probably Carlton Rd & Westmorland Rd in the neighbourhood opposite.Free newspapers was appreciated. Cappuccino was nice. Staff were pleasant. Nice mixture of table sizes from 2 seater to 5 seater, right up to 6 seater picnic tables in the garden.

I love the quaintness of this place, it is a great tea room to meet and chat with friends or for calling into when walking around Urmston. The coffee and cakes are delicious and the owners are lovely people to chat to. I'll be visiting every so often whenever passing either with my wife or with members of our family or friends.

This is a lovely space, an unexpected pleasure on the outskirts of the Urmston town centre. Attractively laid out and outfitted, this tearoom- style cafe is light, bright and appealing. It offers a decent range of menu options, and a selection of tempting cakes displayed in the counter. Our daughter couldn't resist the generous slice of red velvet cake, and was even happier when her hot chocolate came crammed with small marshmallows. I particularly liked the fresh, tasty toast which was lightly toastedm not dry and overdone. The cafe was quiet on the morning we visited, so we received our drinks and food quickly. Good, clean toilet facilities are upstairs. We look forward to returning.

Urmston has quite a few places popping up - bars, cafes, restaurants - but Scrumptious is a cute and quaint cafe hidden away on Church Road. The wraps are well recommended and unbeatable for value. We had two cajun chicken wraps, a monstrous pot of tea and a glass of Coke for £13.Well worth a visit and only a 5 minute walk from Urmston centre - even less from the train station. Perfect for light bites, breakfasts and afternoon teas.

Popped in after a trip round the new artisan market in urmston. It was mid afternoon and a few tables full but enough room for me and my friend. We had a pot of tea each, I opted for earl grey and we had a slice of cake each - lemon drizzle and Victoria sponge- both lovely, moist and fresh. A welcome break after the busy market!

We had my sisters 50th Birthday at Scrumptious and what a fabulous afternoon we had. The afternoon tea was "truly scrumptious" with a lovely selection of sandwiches and delicious cakes. A great selection of teas and coffee and the children were well catered for too! A huge thank you to John and Jackie who looked after us superbly. Everyone had a fantastic time and I would definitely recommend it.
