Scran in Glasgow City

I can't fault the food. The poached eggs are great - had it with salmon and was really good. My only niggles are that the cooking is in the same room space and not a massive amount of ventilation so all the steam and noise is around. {window all fogged up, etc and crash banging around} - but like I say the food is great. I suppose you can't make an omelette without cracking a few eggs. ;-)

Me encontré en la zona ... he estado antes el fin de semana, pero estaba lleno! Gran ambiente, muy limpio, buen menú! El personal era atento, amable y blethery! Tuve un pequeño roll'n'tattie scone .. . genial ver dos tattie scones como un tattie scone es un tattie scone solitario! También tenía leche de avena para mi té ... la olla tenía dos tazas y goteo didae! Ganar ganar. . . lo que no te gusta en un lunes lluvioso por la mañana. . . y la música era pura magia ☆ M. ☆

Si estás en la zona, vale la pena visitarla. A pocos pasos de High Street, con atracciones como Glasgow Green, The Barras y el salón de baile Barrowland justo en la puerta, es un lugar perfecto para el desayuno. Lo pillé en el momento perfecto, el desayuno era exuberante, y el ambiente era brillante. Todo fundiéndose en un gran comienzo para el último día de nuestro viaje a Glasgow.

Gran pequeño lugar para buena comida local que vale la pena esperar y a un precio muy razonable. Personal presente como amable y feliz, bien vale la pena una visita

Apoyo a un joven que es discapacitado, fuimos a desayunar hoy y el personal era brillante, ofreciéndonos té o café gratis. Mi amigo pidió un rollo de tocino con un huevo frito, vino exactamente como él quería. Tenía un rollo de tocino que era tremendo. Gran personal y buena comida

1 vez en la calle en este lugar solíamos ir a raspar cuando estaba en el desfile en Glasgow estábamos deseando que llegara, pero tbh fue decepcionado, no estaba mal, estaba bien, pero por el dinero fue decepcionante... pedimos huevos Stornaway y huevos escalfados con salchicha y también probamos las patatas fritas shawarma. Lo realmente decepcionante fueron nuestros huevos y eso es lo que Scran es famoso por que eran duros y tbh puedo hacer mejores huevos en la casa también nuestra tostada sin mantequilla en ella o una oferta de mantequilla? Como dije, el viejo scran era genial, pero por £ 40 era pobre, tal vez era un chef diferente o un día libre, pero no creo que vuelva.

El personal es absolutamente encantador, la comida está increíblemente presentada y sabe igual de bien! Lo recomendaría 100% a cualquiera!

Great coffee, lovely staff. The tacos were the best I’ve had in a long time. Spoiled for choice with so many tempting options on the menu. Dog friendly too ❤️

Delicious! The place looks simple but you must be ready to queue or leave your phone number. We were lucky to get a table straight away. Super friendly staff! The cook loves and knows what he is doing! Highly recommend if you are in Glasgow!

Love this place. Great food, always interesting specials and the coffee is spot on. Service is really friendly as well. Need to get back there soon.

Delicious breakfast & coffee! We went to Scran as our reservation for another brunch location got changed but actually really glad we went to Scran! It is well worth the short walk out of the centre! Service was great too!

Super bediening, heel vriendelijk en enorm behulpzaam. Eten was top we waren met vijf personen en de burgers waren sappig en en goedgevuld. De wrap was heel warm en ook zeer lekker

After visiting Glasgow for the evening we wanted a nice, filling breakfast for the 3 hour commute back home. After a quick Google I found Scran was rated one of the best breakfast places to eat in the city, and it wasn’t wrong. We were lucky enough to get a table as soon as we got there. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I ordered the bacon, square sausage and egg roll and my fiancé had poached eggs on sourdough with hash brown. Absolutely delicious and the best sourdough we have both ever tried. If we lived local, we would frequent often! But for now, we will visit this little gem any time we come back to Glasgow.

Sehr leckere Gerichte, die sehr liebevoll angerichtet sind. Sehr freundliche Bedienung! Das Essen sah nicht nur sehr ansprechend aus, es war auch sehr lecker. Verschiedene Variationen.

Klein aber stylisch, super nette Bedienung und gute Musik. Das Wichtigste. Der Brunch war köstlich. Tolles Menu, hätte gerne noch 1-2 andere Sachen getestet. Und der Cappuccino war großartig. Würde immer wieder kommen (leider nur im Urlaub).

We had an excellent brunch at Scran a few day ago, washed down with very good coffee. This is a small cozy place with friendly staff. Well worth seeking out.

On a trip from Newcastle to Glasgow and happened to chance on this lovely little place on the way. Ordered two sandwiches to take away and absolutely did not disappoint. Food was amazing and service was brilliant. Would highly recommend !

The food here was fantastic and the staff were excellent. It's quite small, so either get there early or be prepared to wait, but they were very accommodating and allowed people to wait in until a table became free. We had toasties, which were lovely and we also had a side of fries, which were huge! Staff were friendly and attentive. Perfect indie lunch venue.

Outstanding, went for brunch after some Christmas shopping. The food is amazing and the staff are all absolutely lovely.

Cannot speak highly enough about this fabulous wee find….now located in London Road, near the Barrowlands. Todays brunch was Loaded Burger Fries & The Catalonian Toastie….wow! Already previously tried the loaded fries in previous visits….always a firm favourite of ours, and just delicious! The toastie, tried for the first time today, absolute taste sensation - tasty, flavours are just perfection! Service is friendly & efficient, cannot wait until our next visit….thanks again Scran ❤️ #scranlover #deliciousfood

As good as it gets. Food is excellent, service is excellent, cakes are amazing and the coffee is fantastic. Great effort goes into making this place fantastic. I visited the old Scran the day it opened and the new location is true to its roots. Always a pleasure visiting and I could recommend pretty much everything.

Absolutely love this place. Amazingly rustic and what they can cook in such a small kitchen in unbelievable. Extremely tasty food, cool layout and location with very friendly staff. Will go back time and time again.

A great wee cafe, friendly staff and good service. Tasty food and tied a few of the cakes, the strawberry tarts were amazing. A wee gem near the Barras.

Absolutely lovely place! The service personell was exceptionally friendly and the food was delicious. The vibes were immaculate :-)

Having heard so much about this place, I went along for my lunch. It's a small cosy place with a few tables and a reasonable sized menu. The recommendation was to try the chicken schwarma, which I did. I also ordered their loaded halloumi fries. The food was fine. The wrap was small enough and was basically a chicken curry in a wrap with a bit of cabbage. The fries were fine but no more than that. I would have given Scran a rating of 3 but the staff were very good and very friendly and everything else was lovely.

We had a lovely brunch here, absolutely delicious food and lovely staff. Will definitely be back next time we’re in Glasgow.

Brilliant fresh food and welcoming staff. Happened to find Scran on a Sunday trip to the market. It was busy so obviously well known to the locals. Dog friendly too.

Moreish food that looks too good to eat, would recommend 🎯💥 Friendly staff who accommodate in every way they can. Wee jem of a place on the Gallowgate behind the Barras on London Road.
