South side of Glasgow is starting to get a great vibe for fantastic independent coffee shops, but problem is almost all of them are on Victoria Road or Polloskshaw Road. I was walking from Glasgow Green to Queens Park, and was wanting to grab a morning cup of coffee, but all the usual places head to all mean taking a large detour, but when looking around I noticed a coffee shop appear on Cathcart Road. Great little coffee shop that is really inviting. Staff are excellent and will make your order fresh on the spot for you. Most certainly now firmly one of my top go to coffee spot in Glasgow now.

Super cosy wee cafe for all things breakfast-y and brunch-y. It is a bit on the small side, so not the most accessible.

This is such a lovely and cosy coffee shop with a Scottish feel to it. I had beans on toast and a latte today and honestly it was delicious. The customer service was 1st class, the staff were friendly and made me feel welcome. The prices were also so reasonable and really good value for money! I would definitely return and I'll be bringing more people with me next time!

Canary girl is a cute little cafe that really brightens up govanhill. I had a latte with the summer on Neptune coffee - it was fab. Considering I’m not really a coffee fan I was pleasantly surprised! Canary girl also offers different milks for lactose intolerant and vegan customers. The cakes and selection of soups and sandwiches looked amazing and will definitely be an incentive for me to go back and try the full menu! The staff are so lovely and friendly, it’s got such a chilled out vibe. It’s a dog friendly cafe and the owners own dog Dougal (who is adorable) is always hanging about! A great wee gem in the south side - GO AND VISIT!

What a lovely little place! The coffee and cake were delicious and the atmosphere inside was very cosy, warm and relaxing. Loved meeting the owners’ pet dog, Dougal, who added to the friendly vibes. The staff were very friendly and helpful, I’d highly recommend paying them a visit! I’ll be going back next time I’m passing.

My partner and I visited on Saturday with the kids and loved the place. Although small, it’s very cosy and welcoming and the coffee and cakes were all delicious. I would recommend the peppermint slice, although my partner raved about her treacle scone. Make sure get a high five from Dougal too.

I visited the cafe with my kids for a wee treat, and we were not disappointed! The decor inside and out is lovely and welcoming - as was Dougal, resident dog! The fresh coffee accompanied with mini bottle of milk was delicious, and there were plenty drinks choices for children too. The treacle scone came toasted and with cream & jam, and was really good. The chocolate cake with cream and chocolate sauce also went down a storm. Next time I plan to sample the chocolate orange slice! Definitely making this a regular treat stop!

Visited Canary Girl today and we were so impressed. The staff are very friendly and happy to offer advice on their range of coffee beans that they have available to purchase. We thoroughly enjoyed our hot drinks - coffee and a hot chocolate. There was a wide selection of (delicious) Scottish-style cakes with plenty of vegan and gluten-free options. I would definitely visit again!

New vibrant coffee shop opened in the Southside of Glasgow, that is very cosy and welcoming. The staff are very friendly and the shop has a great selection of hot/cold drinks as well as daily homemade cakes. The coffee is deliciously beautiful, great balance of dark chocolate richness with sweet forest berries to get you set up for the busy day ahead. I enjoyed an homemade cherry and coconut scone along with an Double expresso from the house blend 10 hour shift. Great we find, will be back soon!
