Great place for late night meals

Top notch from start to end. Our waitress was excellent and the food was superb. The Highland Hot Wing Challenge was too much for me but a piece of cake for one of our party! Highly recommend this place to anyone.

Nice enough burger, but not very much with it and without the coleslaw side it would have been rather meagre and dry. Apple pie was fine. Everything was very expensive, though. Thirty quid for a small burger, coleslaw and a small piece of apple pie(no drink) seems a bit steep, at least for an informal feeling place. I was in Inverness the week before and had a very nice two course set menu in much grander surroundings for twenty four quid. That's the place I'll go back to.

Ordered a classic dawg, with extra cheese and pulled pork and double cheese burger with pulled pork. The dog as a whole was incredibly dry, its like there was no mustard or ketchup. Both meat were good but the bun was dry so it made th whole thing disappointing. The burger was extremely average. Also a bit dry. Really not worth the bill. Seems like one of those touristy places.

Absolutely fantastic!! Delicious burgers, really unique and tasty cocktails that are created by the team themselves. They were great with my multiple dietary requirements. Everyone was so friendly, helpful and really seemed to enjoy working there. Georgie was brilliant, advised us on great cocktails, had a lovely chat with her about the local area and her life living here. Highly recommend!

Lovely city centre bar with a great selection of beer, wine and cocktails Popped in on Wednesday afternoon, just for a quick drink, and a side of their delicious Garlic & Onion seasoned fries. The staff are very aware of new people arriving and quick to offer assistance in a friendly manner. Relaxing atmosphere with table service - but it works here. Will definitely return

I had the Aberdeen smashburger with their dirty fries. Honestly some of the best food I had in Scotland ever. The burger had so much natural flavor. It was fantastic. Highly recommend to anybody in Inverness

Ordered online. The food was pretty basic for the price. The chicken burger had a bit of sauce and a single limp lettuce leaf. Where's the crunch and different textures/tastes you could add in to a burger? Tomato, gherkins, onion, slaw, all cheap but add so much. Haven't had food from here in a while and expected more. It wasn't bad, just mediocre. By the time you add in delivery and 'service' charge its a fair bit of money. I don't know what 'service' I got from Scotch and Rye, I wouldn't pay a tip at a drive thru Mcdonalds so why is it compulsory for an online order? The food was cold when it arrived too, maybe sat in the restaurant too long waiting for a driver, maybe the driver had other orders, again just disappointing.

We came there as 4 adult group and one dog. Really enjoyed the food, it was tasty and hot. The food did take a while to arrive but not too long. Very happy that it’s a dog friendly place to eat. The atmosphere was lovely, really liked the dimmed lighting and the style of dishes used. The only minus was that the coke that we received tasted like chlorine and was impossible to drink, it didn’t take anything like coke not even a zero version of coke. To be fair it was disgusting, the other drinks were fine and everyone liked. The menu for drinks was massive, especially the cocktails and other alcoholic beverages.

Fun atmosphere, good drinks, great staff. Unfortunately the food was average at best, bad at worst. My "side salad" was about 3 leafs and a cherry tomato cut in half, and the chicken parm and fries seemed like they were straight from the frozen isle at the grocery store heated in a microwave. Even airplane meals do better than that. Spare yourself the disappointment and get a drink here and a quality meal somewhere else.

Popped in for cocktails twice on a short trip this week, great atmosphere and served with a smile, nice to see staff looking happy at work, spotless toilets, we will definitely be back, 5* for the Mojitos not sure if that counts as food :)

Nice place, kind people and tasty food!

Excellent Scottish beers, good food, environment and furnishings between tradition and modernity. 5 stars deserved. Local beers have pleasant and well-balanced aromas that vary from fruity to honey and strawberry. I'm sorry to say it but they are superior to our "artisan" ones which often tend to exaggerate in this or that characteristic, precisely in balance. The music is well distributed and low in volume. In the evening it tends to grow. The service is quick and courteous. The room and bathrooms were clean. Dogs are allowed.

Had lunch in here Feb 2024. Absolutely banging! The best burger I've had in Inverness, went for the spicy chicken one with the garlic and onion seasoned fries. Beautifully cooked, perfectly seasoned, good portion. Service was excellent and the place had a decent atmosphere even tho it was quiet. One tiny thing... The seats could be comfier!

Booked a table for 4 of us for dinner last Friday. It was our last day in Inverness and it was definitely worth going. The food is just spectacular, the service was more than what you would expect. The staff were very attentive and helpful. We had one of the best experiences and would definitely recommend and go back when in Inverness next.

Very reasonably priced gastropub, glad to have stumbled upon it. The simple smash burger was a thing of beauty.

Dark & dingy need a head torch to read the menu and eat your food and a magnifying glass to find the food on your plate.. totally over priced plates chipped meal was absolutely disgusting never will return shocker avoid the place at all costs

It's a great place. On our trip to Scotland we went here for traditional food. The food and service was great. The hot sauce is very, very hot. The toilets are very clean. I suggest you make a reservation in advance. We will definitely go again on our next trip to Scotland.

Absolutely lousy service and the food was underwhelming at best. They're clearly understaffed, at the cost of customer experience. Flagging down a waiter for any service was difficult, food took a long time to come out, and items were forgotten several times. I don't know how, but they managed to make pulled pork and corn dogs tasteless. A pretty bar with pretty drinks, but don't go there for the food.

The food that we had was great but the service (or lack of) ruined the experience. After we finished the main our plates were taken away but no one came back to us to ask if we wanted desert or more drinks. We waited 30 minutes to see if we could catch someone's eye but no one came even though they passed us to get to the kitchen. After the 30 minutes we decided to leave so had to go to the bar to get our bill.

We popped in just for drinks twice in one night 🤣 One the second time just so my wife could have a cocktail we had to sit up to the bar. Staff said they would notify us when a table was free but as we looked around I counted 7 tables empty but they never notified us. Not a big deal because we still had a nice time but i just like people to keep their word

Burger was quite dry and the fries with garlic and onion seasoning was extremely salty. Finished food, waiter didn't come over for 20 to 30 mins, took plate away but didn't ask if I wanted another drink or a dessert. The only positive was the old fashioned was nice.

We really enjoyed visiting here, the food was lovely but I felt there wasn't much choice for being gluten free. The staff were nice but think they need to hire more staff as nobody came to check on the meal till collected the plates but we would visit again.

Slow service. We arrived at 8pm. They told us we'd have time to eat but we had to leave by 9pm because our family member was under 18. They brought some food out at 8:50. Some food didn't come out at all. I ate my salad with my hands because we were rushed out and had no silverware. They still tried to charge us for the food that was hypothetically going to come out before 9pm even though we wouldn't have time to eat it.

I am 16 and was kicked out because I was underage at 9pm on the dot. We arrived at 7:45-8ish and was told we have to go at 9, with a 10 MINUTE GRACE PERIOD. We were not given the grace period, in fact we were bothered during the grace period making it a war period. Also we were given no utensils or napkins to help us eat or clean ourselves. Also there was nobody coming into the building to eat so why not let us finish our meal? Another thing being they left the food we had not received on the bill and wouldn’t take it off and kicked us out. Also we were not served until 20 minutes after we got seated and did not arrive until 8:50 when we specifically asked for a waiter to come help us once we were seated since we already looked at the menu and asked for the food to come out as it was ready. If I could give it negative stars, I would give it abt a -3/10 due to the lack of helpful service. Also they didn’t even check if I was 18 or not, they just assumed that I was underage. Food was 1/10. I do NOT recommend coming here.

This pub was the first place I ate at when I got to Inverness. Hands down best place. Staff is friendly. The food was good, hot, and came out in a decent time. There were so many things on the menu that I went here twice.

After finding that most other places were no longer serving, we found ourselves here. Staff were nice and food was very good, and there's a wide selection of exciting drinks. Deco is old timey and has a nice vibe. Would be happy to visit again.

Popped in to try their vegan stuff as they were open late on a Monday. Cauliflower wings were quite good, though a bit overcooked and the batter was heavy and not light and crispy. Not sure if the sauce was made in house but tasted pre-made. portion size was great. Then had the mac and (vegan) cheese- again great portion, but the cheese they used was no bueno. A lot of vegan cheese is awful, and it's a shame they're not using the locally made stuff that is one of the best in the UK. In any case, for the price, I'd expect a cashew-based cream cheese sauce with more depth of flavour, and i had to salt'n'sauce it. Still, kudos for offering a decent range and would return again, though this time would try one of their plant-based burgers instead.

Really good filling food. We had a lovely meal out for my wife's birthday. Food was really tasty and drinks menu was great. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back in the future.

Nice staff good atmosphere worth a visit

If you know American food, don’t go here. This is not it. I think half of it is microwaved meat, to be honest. Drinks are decent and it was a nice variety of cocktails. They don’t seem to like salt, which is very un-American. Good vibes but don’t eat here.

Wonderful service and brilliant food, only topped by the cocktails!

My wife and I went on a Friday night and the place was busy, we had booked so there was no problem with waiting or trying to get a table. We were taken straight to our table when we arrived. We had the Cauliflower wings and Nachos for starters and they were good. My wife had a cocktail and I was driving so was just on lemonade. We did ask our server for some water for the table but it didn't arrive. We then got a different server (unfortunately I didn't get her name) she was excellent. We asked for the water again and got a couple of glasses of water so I don't think they do the whole bottle for the table thing. The mains were a little disappointing. The fries were good but the burger was lacking, I had the Scotch and Rye burger. My wife had the Quesadilla as a main and it was a good sized portion so don't worry that it's in the small plates section of the menu. I had the banoffee cheesecake for dessert and that was okay. Overall the portion sizes were good and the food was okay. Drinks pricing was a little expensive but the food was priced about right. I would add they are pretty vegetarian and vegan friendly.

Absolutely phenomenal meal in Scotch & Rye tonight (Thursday 19th). Liam and the team were so lovely, nothing was a bother and the food and cocktails were outstanding. We are only visiting Inverness but we would go back in a heartbeat next time we are in the area.

Locale carino e personale molto gentile e simpatico...ho preso un piatto con una specie di hotdog con salsiccia e patatine come contorno veramente misero per la cifra spesa e mia moglie un piatto simile ma con un bun morbido e hamburger sempre con contorno di patatine gli antipasti buoni anelli di cipolla e louisiana chicken....buoni prodotti ma x le cifre spese in giro x la scozia abbiamo mangiato piatti molto più abbondanti e gustosi.

Just home from a lovely evening. Service was perfect! Our waiter was really good, explaining our options well, recommending drinks and he put our shy wee girl at ease. The food was delicious! A favourite was the jackfruit topped Mac and cheese. The cocktails are so good, on a par with Gleneagles. We had a fabulous time. Thank you.

Bang average. Food was mediocre, and the fact they do a beer flight but only have two guest beers (alongside Madri, Pravha, Blue Moon etc) is really odd.

First the good. The staff are exceptionally friendly and very attentive and efficient at their job. The service from start to finish couldn't really have been any better. The inside was also clean and quite well presented, and definitely aimed at a younger more "hipster" crowd, but it is pleasant enough. Now the not so good. Although nicely decorated, the chairs were not comfortable at all, and some have really small seats which isn't great for larger people. However eateries live and die on the food, and out of five mains we had to complain about 4 of them (though only two different meals as we had doubles). The chicken Parm was overdone and the bottom was burned, but not to the point of being inedible. The macaroni and cheese however was very bland, with both people who ordered it leaving over half complaining it was tasteless, with no cheese taste at all near the bottom. Very odd since the chicken and starters had plenty of flavour and cheese. Also had beef brisket, which was fine. The menu is also limited, though the food challenges are a fun idea, and for what the get it's quite pricey. That said, when we mentioned the food issues the duty / assistant manager immediately apologized and resolved it without hesitation. Overall it's an ok place, especially I would suggest for younger people, but I probably won't go again.

Love the fact it’s dog friendly and the staff are amazing. The reason for 3 stars is the food. I found it to be bland with very poor seasoning. It’s also pricey. Add some colour, flavour and character to the dishes and people would happily pay that price!

Overpriced dbl bacon and cheese burger. Was dry and tasteless. For £20, this was very poor value. Haggis popcorn made up for it. Waiters messed up the order. Atmosphere good but super loud. Good cocktails. But overall too overpriced for the experience you get.

The pulled pork dirty fries were excellent. The Shiraz was lovely, although a little pricey. The staff were excellent.

Good pub food and less busy than some other places in town which was nice when we didn’t at to make plans too far in advance. Burgers were kind of small/flat. Wouldn’t recommend, but the other food we had was great.

Toller Pub in der Innenstadt von Inverness. Wir hatten Burger (selbst gemachte Smash-Patties!👍🏼) und Quesadilla, dazu Bier vom Fass. Alles top, aber noch übertroffen von den netten und hilfsbereiten Mitarbeitern inkl. 1a Whiskey Tasting. Würden sofort wieder hin 😃🍔🌮🍺🥃👍🏼🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. Great service, as someone with intermittent Dysphagia/can choke on a variety of foods I trie their mac n cheese which is usually hard for me to eat but how they’ve made it meant I was able to enjoy a meal without worrying about choking and if I could I’ll be back everyday for their mac n cheese - I’ve tried other brands but I end up choking - it would be nice if free tea refills were available for people with Dysphagia as it was £6 for two cups of tea to help me eat the food, other than that such an amazing place 🩵thank you xx

Burgers were very dry, with a bare minimum of ingredients and barely any sauce. Fries were undercooked, unsalted and noticeably out of the freezer. Considering the high prices, all ingredients were of very low and unsatisfying quality. The place was decorated nicely and the waiters were excellent and super friendly, sadly that didn’t make up for the unpleasant food in our overall experience.

Ragazzi gentili ma non aspettavi ottimo cibo definirei gli hamburger mediocri, la carne è buona ma è veramente poca, il bacon poco croccante e troppo spesso qualche pomodoro e piu insalata non guasterebbe. Birre nella media e non a pompa

The brisket sandwich (they call it a Philly Cheestake, it is not) is delicious. It is, however, an American themed restaurant, and that's just not really what I'm looking for on vacation.
