Incredibly rude, miserable woman serving. Seems to hate her job. Coffee was weak watery and served in a dirty cup. It's a pity because the ambience and vibe sets this cafe apart from the usual. There are a lot of other cafe's to go to on Lower Marsh, will try them in future... 🙁

Love the blues music. Trendy old school cafe. Great drinks selection from coffee to alcoholic. The food selection is poor however. Lovely place though.

Excellent cocktails at reasonable prices. Two lovely cats patrolling the cafe. Friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere.

The photos above make ScooterCaffe look like a bright and spacious coffee shop, in reality it is dim (day or night) and eclectic (my posh word for scruffy). But we visited on three occasions ... First two were for morning coffee after we had left our Waterloo Road hotel for the day. We deliberately chose this place for a couple of drinks on our last night and we weren't disappointed. It was as if the Kahlua bottle had been placed in the centre and at the optimal height to cause me to ask how the served it ... I had two delicious White Russians while my wife sipped her Champagne Cocktail. Despite your first impressions it is clean, friendly and value for money. Recommended!

Wonderful place . Bob the cat is a legend . the little one with all the answers behind the counter is we!l cheeky but makes decent coffee so swings and roundabouts. Some of the customers are a bit strange especially that Canadian guy who seems to live there: Kelvin? Colin? the sourdough toasted sandwiches are fantastic as are Ameretto Sours and excellent freshly made Espresso Martinis ...the staff are fun and the decor is beautiful ...Lower Marsh has lost most of its great independent shops and cafes due to greed and lust for the fo!ding stuff but this remains a beacon of light in a darkening sky ...!ong may it continue ...yes my lion

What an awful experience. Went there on the recommendation of a friend to kick back on a rainy Sunday afternoon. We had teas and coffees and, would have had food, but one of the staff was so rude, for the whole time that we were there, to us to other people, that we just left. She clearly hates her job. Never a please or thank you the six times she leant over us to get in a cupboard, get a lamp, to turn on the lamp and to collect our cups, milk and teapots. The only sorry we got was 'sorry I keep leaning over you, it must be so annoying. We finally left when she picked up my mate's unfinished tea, and she didn't asked whether we'd finished with it. When I pointed this out to her, she said 'it had been there so long, I thought you were finished with it. Don't waste your time or money going there, there are 100s of other places in and around Waterloo, where your custom will be welcome.

Cool cafe with the usual range of drinks and food on offer. Decor is hip. Noise level makes it hard to hear.

We were told that our coffees would take a bit longer (5 mins), which was fine. Once ordered the server said we can come up (we were downstairs) in 10 minutes to fetch the coffees, which we thought was odd to say the least. After 10 I went up and picked up a tea and cappu, however an americano was missing. The immediate reaction when I pointed that out was “you didn’t order it” - other than the fact we did, this responce was incredibly rude. Then I paid for an americano, which the server said would be brought to us. 10 mins later: no americano. My GF went up to see where it was, waited for 5 minutes in front of the counter before being helped, asked for an americano and then said “oh you can take this one” (which had been standing there for a while). Baffled by the sheer unfriendly and disrespectful attitude (not even an apology) we told her to leave the coffee. We asked for a refund (£2) later which was refused on the grounds “the coffee had been made and she poored it away”. All this to say that, it’s no problem if you make a mistake or forget something but we felt truly disrespected and treaded incredibly rudely in the process. We won’t be coming back.

Down Lower Marsh, this is a laid back Bar / Cafe open to fairly late. Reasonable drinks choice with some food available. A bit of a hippy place really, but okay. Outside rear area seating is okay, except for poor step up etc to that area. Friendly cat sleeping around etc. A good place to relax. Sadly two issues...The hand rail to the basement seating has snapped and held loosely in place by gaffer tape! As for the Unisex toilet, well no flush and fairly smelly...to be expected...but as to the no door??? and a curtain that does not fuilly privatise sitting in the toilet, thats a bit much!!(Sadly they will get closed down for thisd one day!) So a little care to attention will make it a memorable place!

We were in the area (which not overly familiar with) for an event, so wanted to be close for arrival. We dropped in and found a gem! The atmosphere was great, it was busy without being too busy, nice volume of music and lighting. The decor is really quirky and certainly offers something to keep you occupied! We went for espresso martinis, which were delicious! Would highly recommend.

My friend and I came here for coffee on a Saturday morning and surprisingly it wasn’t too busy which was good. The place is very small and quite dark but the decor is very fun and quirky and it feels very homely (especially because of the cat who was walking around and sleeping on the chairs). We sat outside in the little garden area which was lovely in the hot weather. They only offered full fat milk so we opted for plant based alternative milks and the coffee was delicious! Also saw an amazing cocktail menu and would definitely want to come back to try some of them. A place that my mum would probably be afraid of but a dream for those who like somewhere a bit different and quirky!

We stopped off in this lovely bar three times in three days, always at the end of long, tiring days. A couple of drinks later, we were all very uplifted and in better spirits (no pun intended). On the Sunday evening we also enjoyed some great music from a couple of guys on guitars and mandolins! This is a very friendly and enjoyable slice of continental life in what feels like a small village in central London!

Stumbled across this place one Sunday afternoon. Looked welcoming inside and almost full seating. Got coffee and cake. Comment about draughty doors at back seems valid but it was cooler downstairs, where the single loo is. They had run out of sweeteners and I had to ask for white sugar.

This place is lovely. Few places now have the feeling that it does here. Cafe/bar holding hands with an old Europe that London has moved away from. Its romantic in a way, and non-pretentious. I'm not sure how long its been there but in my mind I like to imagine a long time. With Artists and Writers sipping negronis and mulling over future works. Or maybe thats just me.

Came here to kill a little time before an evening event. Had a couple of beers and teas. It's quite kooky inside but cosy. Not much more to say really - was perfect for what we needed.

Mondays, prices are reduced by 50%, which is the only time this place offers anything close to reasonable value. A quick glance at their online menu reveals a shockingly limited selection. The prices are exorbitant, yet the food quality is more akin to a cafeteria than even a mediocre cafe. If you enjoy subpar food in a drab environment served by an unprofessional staff and don't mind overpaying when there are far better options nearby, then this place might be for you. Seriously, READ THE MENU. On Mondays its about right
