What’s even better is that they offer gluten-free options, making it accessible for those with dietary restrictions. It’s always a relief to find a place where gluten-free doesn’t mean compromising on taste or variety. What really surprised me was how good the tea was. It’s rare to find a place that puts so much attention into something as simple as tea, but it was perfectly brewed and served with care. It complemented the meal wonderfully and showed that even the smallest details are important here. Overall, The Three Stags offers everything you could want in a pub and more. It’s a place I can see myself coming back to time and time again, not just for the fantastic food and drinks, but also for the welcoming atmosphere and impeccable service. It was a pleasant surprise. We went there for fish and chips, and at first, we were a bit exceptical, but they didn't disappoint us. The fish was fresh, and the chips were very. crispy

Very disappointed with everything to be honest. From the moment we walked in and right up until we left, never have I ever been made to feel more uncomfortable in any bar/pub/restaurant. We tried to converse with bar tender on entry to no avail. We ordered our drinks, chose our seats and continued to enjoy. This venue has been recommended to us by a few friends but sadly it failed to live up to our expectations!

A few years ago I'd been to someone's birthday party in the upstairs room at the Three Stags. I'd made a mental note that if I was event organising an event, it was a good location, a great room and offered a good choice of beers, drinks and food. Since then, it's had a makeover/been refurbished. It's a pub, but a rather classy one. Holding an event in a private room in London can be expensive. We were on a tight budget and the Three Stags proved great value. We had about 40 people for an event that started in the afternoon and rolled into the evening. It was easy to organise, we felt very welcome and had a great event. Shane was helpful, straightforward and flexible from the moment we made the booking right up until the day. So were his team. On the day things worked like clockwork. We're not an easy bunch to please and we wanted a few things sorted out (e.g. we brought our own screen, wanted to put some decorations up in the room and asked if we could bring our own celebration cake). We ordered drinks and snack food from the bar as and when we needed more. The team at the Three Stags were helpful in bringing them upstairs and making sure we were happy. All in all, a really good experience. We kept within our budget and I'd recommend it if you're looking for somewhere to hold a family or business party.

Shane helped us to organise a special birthday party in their private room. He was super friendly and accommodating, setting up the room for us in advance, allowing us to decorateand checking if we needed things throughout. Highly recommend

Pero estuvimos aquí un viernes por la noche para conmemorar 25 años desde que la radio comercial lanzó su red de radio digital DAB en el Reino Unido. Era una p [arty. Un evento. Hace unos años había ido a la fiesta de cumpleaños de alguien en la habitación de arriba del Three Stags. Había tomado nota mental de que si estaba organizando un evento, era una buena ubicación, una gran sala y ofrecía una buena opción de cervezas, bebidas y comida. Desde entonces, ha sido remodelado. Es un pub, pero con clase. Realizar un evento en una sala privada en Londres puede ser costoso. Estábamos en un presupuesto ajustado y las tres etapas demostraron ser muy valiosas. Tuvimos unas 40 personas para un evento que comenzó en la tarde y se extendió hasta la noche. Fue fácil de organizar, nos sentimos muy bienvenidos y tuvimos un gran evento. Shane era servicial, directo y flexible desde el momento en que hicimos la reserva hasta el día. También su equipo. El día que las cosas funcionaron como un reloj. No somos un grupo fácil de complacer y queríamos algunas cosas arregladas (por ejemplo, trajimos nuestra propia pantalla, queríamos poner algunas decoraciones en la habitación y preguntamos si podíamos traer nuestro propio pastel de celebración). Pedimos bebidas y aperitivos en el bar cuando necesitábamos más. El equipo de los Three Stags fue útil para llevarlos arriba y asegurarse de que éramos felices. En general, una muy buena experiencia. Mantuvimos dentro de nuestro presupuesto y lo recomendaría si estás buscando un lugar para celebrar una fiesta familiar o de negocios.

Nos detuvimos aquí un domingo después de que nuestro plan de restaurante original había dejado de servir comida antes de lo esperado. Nos encajaron a las 7:00: 40 a pesar de que la cocina cierra a las 8 pm. ¡El asado del domingo de la caña de cordero era delicioso! También ofrecen grandes (250 ml) vertidos de vino. Personal amable y comida deliciosa. Sin duda una visita obligada si se aloja cerca de la zona de Waterloo.

A few veg were all asked for dessert, they said just lamb half pint soda water lamb dinner 22 pond's soda water 2 pond's there were lots tourists take on born here rude staff pub avoid what alcohol must cost 10 pond's pint

Staff are attentive but relaxed. Atmosphere is the best part. It's a lovely building with good lighting and music in a nice location. Chips were a bit overdone but a nice place nonetheless.

Great pub! Great food and service. One of those moment where you truly can feel the management cares about the venue. Rare these days... Have to say: every time we ate here - the food was phenomenal. Hot pot is a must!

This was a lovely find whilst waiting for a lecture at the IWM nearby. Great selection of beers, very friendly atmosphere with engaging and attentive staff. It was really nice having bar staff with a fantastic sense of humour. I didn't have food but what I could see on people's plates looked appetising. I will try to get back for another visit and next time stay longer.

Stopped here on the way to the imperial War museum. Good choice. We live near a greene King pub so were expecting standard microwave food. They have a great menu here. We opted for sharing sausage platter which was great. Lovely pub and staff seemed friendly. Very nice.

Came here for a family lunch on a Saturday after war museum visit. Great selection of beers and craft ales which my husband loved. Really nice menu - we had selection of starters and fish & chips, burger and pie for mains which were delicious. Staff friendly and attentive even though it was very busy, and short wait for food. Would definitely come back!

Everyone starts drinking at noon. There are many choices of beer. Come and try it.

Dopo la visita all'Imperial War Museum (straconsigliata) abbiamo pranzato in questo pub bellissimo per i miei gusti (un po' caldo ma sopportabile,a differenza degli latri posti con 10 gradi ). Il personale è stato molto cortese e gentile. L'arredamento interno è stupendo le grandi vetrate danno sulla strada piena di alberi e rendono l'ambiente molto rilassante . Abbiamo provato il fish and chips con insalata verde di contorno, sapore delicato e croccantezza della panatura eccellente. Accompagnate da piselli e salsa maionese. Abbiamo, concluso il pranzo con una fetta di torta alla. Cannella con crema al burro che nonostante i 30 gradi è stata una delizia. Posto consigliatissimo, prezzi nella media.

L’accueil et le personnel est très sympa. Nous étions venus pour découvrir un repas typiquement anglais le fish and chips et nous n’avons pas été déçus, c’était vraiment top !! En plus j’en ai eu pour moins de 80£ pour 4 personnes boissons comprises !!! Super resto, cadre bistro assez sympa et vraiment cool (a l’intérieur)

Good pub quiz on a Wednesday, good food. A little pricey

Lovely relaxed atmosphere in this bar; situated in a nice area. Staff were very attentive. Try the burger, it's great. 🍔

They charged my phone for me when it was dead. 5 out of 5. Heroes. Beer was nice as well.

I popped into The Three Stags on a very rainy day whilst was exploring London. it was a nice big pub/restaurant which was nicely laid out. There was a nice choice of food available on the menu. The only point I was surprised about was that the menu did not include prices... As my good old dad use to say, "If you have to ask the price you cannot afford it" so I settled for a packet of crisp - haha. I enjoyed a nice pint of Guinness and my crisps in a small both called the Chapin's Corner... All in all a nice boozer to rest my sore feet and shelter from the rain. Would I return? that would be a YES. Some of my reviews may seem unforgiving but I come from a time when everything was not “Awesome” and “near enough was not good enough”. So, if I say something is “Excellent” that is because it is somewhere better than most others… and well worth considering visiting. I hope this review was of help, please consider following my travels & reviews in the autumn of my life.

First time at the establishment from the moment we entered we felt welcome. All the bar staff were welcoming . The food menu was excellent. But the standard of the actual food even better . If you are in the area , in the IWM please go in a great pub who also don’t stop cleaning . Brilliant.

A fantastic traditional pub with great artwork, friendly staff and a menu full of great options. However I settled for the Lancashire hot pot and it did not disappoint.

Came for dinner with some friends post refurbishment and it did not disappoint. The pub looks stunning, fantastic atmosphere and the food was fabulous! All of the food looked beautiful, I had the heritage tomato carpaccio followed by the scallops. Some of the group opted for desserts which I was jealous of when they arrived. I wish I could give more than 5*, we (and our taste buds!) cannot wait to come back

This pub is a short walk from the Imperial War Museum and a great choice for lunch for anyone visiting the museum. My group of four had a great meal, served by a friendly and attentive staff. The fish and chips were some of the best we had in London. The steak and onion pie was delicious. The prices were more than reasonable.

We (two couples) went for dinner since this pub was located close to our hotel. We each ordered a different meal and all the meals were very good. It was early evening and the pub was very busy, but the service was good and the food arrived well prepared. Our server recommended the rhubarb and apple crumble for dessert - delicious! Our friends shared sticky toffee pudding - also yummy! A good experience - definitely recommend.

Went there for Sunday roast. Staff wasn’t that intentive. We ordered the wine and food and asked for tap water and soda water. It never arrived so I had to to the bar to remind them of it. Had to ask for the condiments, I wanted English mustard on my Beef roast they only had Dijon. Service charge was already added to the bill. Not a great experience there for the money to be honest.

Had sunday lunch, asked 3 times for gravy. Finished the meal and still no sign of the gravy. Very rude service staff who just shrugged his shoulders. Was cold when it came to the table and horrendous service. Rude, especially when spending nearly 100 quid on 3 roast dinners and a drink.

The vegetarian Sunday roast is excellent, the staff are really friendly and in general this place has a great atmosphere with interesting art all around. I don't love having the heads of three beautiful animals on the wall but i understand it, given the name of the place. They have a rotation of ales, which are high quality and they also have a good selection of non-alcoholic beer too. The prices are reasonable and all in all, this is a fantastic pub, highly recommended.

Pleasant atmosphere, friendly service, various types of beer to choose from and delicious ice cream. Unfortunately pizzas are no longer made, so the food cannot be rated 😄.

The staff insisted on making us leave at 22:47. We weren’t overly loud, as everyone has had less than one drink so far (we arrived around 10). When I asked if they closed at 11 PM, he said “We close at 10. It’s not my fault if you can’t tell the time”. It was rude. We didn’t even get to finish our drinks. The prices are aggressive as well, I paid £6.9 for a pint of Beavertown.

The pub is under new management - very disappointing generic pub menu - where are the pizzas? They were great and one of the reasons we came here so often for beer and food. The Steam Engine is now our local choice.

The wife and I visited from Texas. Delicious Irish roast and fish and chips. We definitely enjoyed the fish and chips here better than the ones at Fishkitchen in Burrough Market. Beer on tap was very delicious as well. Will visit again forsure!

Popped into The Three Stags last night and was blown away! I’d heard that it’s been taken over by the owners of The Mayflower and The Prince of Wales, great news ! I tried the mussels which were so good and my partner had fish and chips, equally good! Staff were great and the owners have created a very cosy and welcoming atmosphere. Already booked a table for Friday night to try something else on the menu!

Typical pub playing sports. The beer selection is varied, and they were well served. The place offers outdoor seating, which can be quite pleasant in a warm day. The food was also very good. A convenient place for a pit stop after seeing the War Museum.

The visit to this pub was a disappointing experience. Despite the obvious atmosphere of a pub, the staff seemed to have little understanding of the basic concept that guests come here to enjoy beer in good company. After casually sitting with my friends and savoring our drinks, we were inexplicably kicked out of the establishment. Apparently, engaging in what pubs are typically known for is unwelcome here. A perplexing decision that left us puzzled. This place is definitely more suited for flower enthusiasts than beer lovers.

Musty drinking place, drank beer in the afternoon and played a drinking game, it was too loud and it was a real spoilsport!

This was a great little find of a pub, booked a table to meet with old school chums and they had a carol concert sing a long going on. Great pub lovely staff if you are thinking of going do, I can't imagine you will be disappointed

We were a little hungry after visiting the IWM, so dropped in for a bite. The Calzone was quite tasty, as was the Apple Crumble with cream. Staff was friendly and service was fast. Plus they had hot chocolate with Bailey's on a chilly day in London, made the evening.

Lovely historic pub just opposite the Imperial War Museum, and around the corner from a house once occupied by William Bligh of Mutiny of the Bounty fame. Check out Chaplins Corner in the Three Stags. Good beer and excellent food. Obviously London prices.

Just disorganised and aggressively average. Run out of beef pie and beef burger at 7:30pm - “was a busy day”. Served regular coke when asked for diet. Didn’t bring ketchup when asked. One person was ok to take a drink order at our table, another refused and said we had to order at the bar. Had to walk out to get £2 cash for the quiz. Some friendly bar staff though and the quiz was fun, but sadly won’t be back. Maybe independence is overrated…..

Been a regular here for 3 years, however in the last 6 months things seem to have gone downhill with new management. General staff are great but the manager clearly struggles particularly around service/warmness at the bar. Wouldn’t want to leave however our group are now debating whether to head to pastures new.

Popped in for a drink and it’s a lovely pub with good choice of beer. The toilets were clean . The man behind the bar seemed grumpy though

I had a pizza , it wasn't good value for money. My partner had a 21 £ chicken roast. We complained due to the size of the chicken. It was hidden under the Yorkshire pudding, the smallest leg of chicken ever seen. So we complained and they brought a chicken breast to be added to the dish. This is not a great experience to have and the waiters weren't very helpful either. They looked unhappy to work there. Will spend my money somewhere else.

Wood fired pizza was excellent as well as the fish and chips. The mushy peas could have been better and the prices were a little high. Very convenient to the Imperial War Museum. We are outside on the picnic tables, nicely shaded.

Stopped off when in the area on 9th/October. Had the tuna pizza. Sounded weird but thought I'd give it a try since the blonde foreign bird suggested it as a daily special. 11 quid. Topped it off with a couple pints of the cider on tap. Overall beautiful food and nice cider. Will be back.

Good pub. But the pizza was amazeballs. Did not see that coming.

Pizza was overdone , daughters food was warm not hot. Hot chocolate and coffee was luke warm. Not worth the money.

Update: Went again and it was just as good. We all had pizzas as they were all that they were serving but wow, such a good neopolitan style and so tasty. We felt a bit guilty after leaving as didn't realise that there was no service charge until we checked the bill later on - next time we will know and leave one, as we couldn't fault anything. The staff were lovely and the food was excellent. It came quickly, the pizza was massive and the chips were lovely. Very reasonably priced for the area, size and quality. Will go again!

Great place that seems to have changed hands recently. Great staff and food and atmosphere, but the selection of spirits such as gin and vodka is really poor when other places are really excelling at this. Please Staggs get better spirits.

Excellent authentic pub/restaurant in the heart of Lambeth. Good choice of drinks on tap and bottles, menu was carried and very inclusive. It also had a discount if you showed a blue light card on the day I went.

Llegamos de casualidad, pues está alejando de los circuitos turísticos habituales, y respirar autenticidad por todas partes, hasta el punto que por un momento me recordó un bar español. El edificio destaca por su estilo y el interior es amplio, con ventiladores de techo y se puede comer tarde incluso para los horarios ingleses. Muy recomendable y agradable, incluido el servicio, atentido en nuestro caso por varias chicas muy jóvenes que pusieron mucho empeño en resultar agradables.

This is a really nice place to eat if you're in the neighborhood. We had delicious calamari, and the pizzas are also really good. The apple crumble dessert was very yummy. We ended up going back the next day for a quick lunch.

I'm gonna be honest, I'm a bit of a recluse and don't usually venture out socially.. But let me tell you this place is faaar from generic. It was absolutely wonderful to grab a pint & v🎶be somewhere with an actual identity in 2023 (which is a big deal for me) this bar/restaurant is very unique, picturesque and locally sourced - as I entered, (I later discovered it was the owner himself) was helping a young man to be through the dessert menu lol 🍧🍰🍮🍨 shortly after I got his full attention and although staff was behind the bar serving other customers he jumped behind the bar and served me a pint after a short and friendly discussion on what was to my taste, I got the London Black (listen.. watch out Guinness!) - the owner "Richard" (he reminded me of Marco Pierre White lol) & "Ally" (the gorgeous Australian food & beverage assistant) were rocking & rolling - Bouncing off each other.. clearly, because I know their names already. Very welcoming: It was literally like going home to a warm reception.. but with beer 🍻😇 Listen, no more words - I can't recommend this place enough, from the artwork to the lovely staff - I was looked after, I'm definitely gonna bring my daughter here one weekend for her first roast dinner given this reception. Sincerely cheers guys & thank you for going the extra mile, for having your own identity and for providing more than just the standard customer service. 5🌟

We stopped in before going to the Imperial War Museum and it was a great choice. Very good fish and chips and pizza. Love that they are independent beer wise. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was chill. It was a nice change of pace from touristy Central London.

Some of the staff is a bit course. Sticky Toffee was very much sub-par.

Walked in without a reservation with my scouts and leaders after a busy day sightseeing after the imperial war museum, the staff couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating. Sorted us a table, got some hot kids cool drinks quickly and took our food order, even taking the time to explain items on the menu to some picky kids (and adults). The food was great, good portions, great quality all served by friendly staff... For a random walk in to a pub by tourists, couldn't have been happier. Oh yeah and the beer was excellent. 😁
