Horrible customer service. The staff was super rude and not polite. The worst customer experience although the ice cream was good.

Customer service was EXCELLENT! The Lady behind the counter had a wonderful personality, warm/friendly/helpful/good energy. The gelato was ok, too sweet for us. The vanilla appeared to have chemical flavoring vs real vanilla, left a strong aftertaste. The pistachio tasted more authentic. Seating inside and out.

This pancake seemed like it was days old. I can’t believe I spend 7€ on this... truly disgusting. This is the first time I write a bad review about something like this cause I literally like everything. Don’t spend your money on this please

I visited the place because I wanted to have a good and strong coffee. My coffee was (very) far from perfect, however, seeing the huge selection of ice cream, I couldn't help but try it - and it was a good decision as it was delicious (although quite expensive). If I was there for coffee only, I would give this place a 2 out of 5 - thanks to their ice cream they got 4 out of 5.

Ordered 3 sundaes this afternoon. These weren’t in an insulated bag, I watched the driver take them from moped box. I live 2 minutes up the road so although it’s hot outside I assumed they would be insulated and would be fine. Unfortunately not. Massive waste of nearly £30.

Despite signs stating that staff are ‘keeping safe’, masks when worn were mostly under the chin or not covering nose. Also, my decaf coffee latte was made from instant powder!! Horrid.

We've been a few times and our experience has always been good. It's located opposite another popular dessert parlour, but we liked this place because it's a bit quieter. Sometimes the service is a bit slow, but if you're going out for a treat it doesn't matter really. My partner particular likes their waffles. I also think the price is good for what you get. This place deserves to be busier.

I orded a crape as stated on the menu that it is freshly made but the one i received this evening was taken from a packet and microwaved. It tasted absolutely vile and very soggy The worst crape i have ever had. Not acceptable to serve microwaved crapes from a packet.

Decided to order some cookie doughs through deliveroo from scoops, it took longer than expected to be delivered and when we did receive it the driver had given us the wrong order. We called scoops to ask about this and was spoken to very rudely, the lady didn’t offer a refund or to get us our actual order, she then called us liars due to the fact she didn’t understand that we had our order numbers emailed to us and didn’t understand that our order had a different number on it. Will not be using Deliveroo or Scoops again as the customer service was very very poor. Whatever happened to the customer is always right? Evidentially not.

See pics, not great tbh, I had the banana one, lacked toffee sauce and when vanilla ice cream was advertised recieved Mr Whippy, when question just informed thats the recipe. Even when I questioned that Mr Whippy is not vanilla, simply whipped cream.

Visited Scoops a few days ago, whilst out with a friend who needed to get something in Portswood. Even though I am a lover of ice cream I have never been there before, (and don't like the ice cream from Sprinkles) I was pleasantly surprised. The ice cream actually tasted like ice cream and not synthetic, and the flavour were delicious. I had a 3 scoop tub (because it had been a long time after all), consisting of Pomegranate sorbet, Honeycomb and one other, which I can't remember now, but all three flavours were delicious. The pomegranate sorbet was particularly nice, and best of all they had no adverse effects on me, which was a real treat. Would definitely go again, next time I'm up that way. 🙂

If you decide to stay, and order something like a waffle, the wait is very small and when the food arrives, it tastes amazing, can not describe how yummy it is. Also good for take aways, i very strongly recommend this Ice-cream parlour.

There are so many different flavours and options to choose from , you can be sure that there will be a combination to suit the fussiest eater. I went there originally treating 8 of us on a Groupon deal to try it out, and have been going back ever since. The portions are generous, the sundaes amazing and the staff very friendly and helpful, the flavours and toppings amazing. Prices are reasonable for what you get. Highly recommended

I ordered the chocolate pudding with ice cream and the Ferraro cheesecake, and ended up with a Oreo cheesecake. Both were great and tasty, but £12 for 2 small portions I feel is steep.

What a fantastic ice cream. the quality is outstanding. not too heavy not too sweet just perfect. i took the pistacchio flavour and a chocolate crepe...

Lovely ice cream treats, great cakes and delicious pancakes. Not good if you are dieting but a really lovely treat.

Have always thoroughly enjoyed the desserts from here, especially in the summer. Also, offer delivery through deliveroo, that runs until about 11pm, which is great for evening treats. Would recommend a visit (or order).

Went there with my friends as a social event....very excited as we had heard amazing things. This was not the case.....we thought we would try the highly anticipated Nutella Pizza. What we were served 40 minutes later was a think dough base with chocolate sauce and a variety of toppings. We even had to ask for a sharper knife,is that normal in a dessert place? I think we all know the answer to that. So in short AVOID NUTELLA PIZZA!

Decided on a lil treat when visiting our daughter at uni. Clean and tidy. Polite waitresses and huge selection. I had the crepes and daughter had the waffle. All I can say is wow!! Delicious. Will certainly return!!

12 of us went into scoops tonight after a lovely meal at Mango. Two girls working and only two other customers in there. We struggled to find a clean table. Clearly nothing had been cleared or cleaned all evening. Disgusting place. I complained to the girls and they said they were busy. They seemed to have plenty of time to talk to each other and drink. There is a lot of competition in this business now. My advice to this one is if you want to keep your business get some staff who care and have a bit of pride in the work space

Went today as sprinkles over the road was busy, this was virtually empty so decided to give a try. Big mistake.

Posto giusto per una pausa molto dolce e calorica. Ho assaggiato il waffle banana chocolate drizzle: buono, cioccolatoso e abbondante! Può sostituire un pranzo, se avete intenzione di fare merenda qui state leggeri prima! Il menu sembra interessante, probabilmente tornerò ad assaggiare altro!

Quality of food not bad but took over an hour to get our order served. Very Disappointing experience overall.

After visiting the ice cream parlour a few times and enjoying their cookie dough I was thrilled when I saw it was on deliveroo!

I've been here several times now and it never fails to disappoint. The ice cream is so yummy, the crepes are tasty and the waffles are amazing. The portions are so big and the prices are very reasonable. It's always very clean and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. It is very spacious and a great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!

I’m part of Southampton University Live Music society. Over the last couple of weeks we’ve been making some very important decisions (usually over ice cream- it helps us think… honest) and most of those meeting have been at scoops. I’ve found myself being *dragged* for desserts at least three times in the past couple of weeks with various groups of friends and it’s always brilliant. The range of gelato flavours is excellent, waffles are always warm and fluffy. I would comment on the crepes but I haven’t got round to having one yet. They look amazing though! Last Sunday we shared a brownie Sundae, which was MASSIVE and fed everyone around the table. Service was brilliant and the staff had a laugh and a joke with us about how huge it was. Ended up there again on Monday night for some late night ice cream, and it was great as usual. One of the best mint choc chip ice creams I’ve eaten in a very crunchy cone. Despite how late it was the staff were very polite and were very patient with how long it took for us to decide on a flavour!

I really like Scoops. The waffles aren't as sweet as at Sprinkles , but the service is much more friendly. Lots of choice and really yummy,

Lovely atmosphere and food is great! Staff are much happier than sprinkles! Always fresh food and always lovely, the boss is a great guy as well as all the staff who are fab and hard working! Love this place!

Lovely fresh ice cream, sorbets etc. Happy to do any mix for you. Kids love the waffles but never finish them. Go every once in a while and standards don't vary. Coffee is good too.

Lovely ice-cream parlour with excellent coffee, big range of ice creams, waffles etc with generous portions and lovely staff. The best of all the Gelatos in the Portswood area in my opinion. They do all sort of deals and are child and student-friendly. Great place to meet up for a chat with friends as music is great but not too loud.

I much prefer scoops Vs sprinkles when I fancy a treat. The staff are so much more friendly and toppings much more generous.

The staff is very friendly and good range of sundaes, shakes, crepes and cakes to choose from. Been there many times and once with a friend of mine from Woking who still recalls the experience as awesome. Unlike some places, you are not served burnt waffles or tasteless shakes. Good spacious environment and reasonable pricing.

I had an emergency. "A sweet emergency" No it was not bad :). I Just needed that "sweet loving me time" I was spoilt for choice at first so asked the waiter for help with her recommendation.. I have returned again and again and tested nearly all ice cream and offerings and the more i taste the more i want to taste. Well i got a soft spot for all things sweet. So when visiting Southampton i always go to scoops gelato. Sweet emergency solved..

This is more of a quantity over quality type place; if you want piles of waffle and chocolate sauce then scoops is perfect, but there's nothing subtle about this place. The fruity waffle was fairly nice.

We both enjoyed our selection of sundae except the very hard bits of fudge. Very friendly assistant and would go back.

This place is yummy for ice cream. I wouldn't call what they serve Gelato. A large selection of ice cream and sweets. It's delicious. Go try some.

Hot night last night, but Scoops Gelateria was open until midnight. Wandered in about 2230 and had two scoops for my pudding and sat out on their chairs on the wide pavement outside and cooled down, watching the world go by.

Good service, quantity and usually quality, plenty of seating. Well worth a visit if you're in the area and have sweet teeth.

Brilliant place. Only been a couplemof times but loved it. Ice cream is delicious. Go for a girl's get together after work at lunchntime. Lay out of the place is good and the staff are very pleasant and friendly.

Excellent service and fantastic choice. The waffles are outstanding as are all the ice cream and available. Owner was really pleasant and helpful. Highly recommended.

Came with my son whilst running errands. Plenty of choice staff very friendly. Had a couple of scoops of sorbet which were really fruity and delicious. Not as busy or noisy as Sprinkles and I think it's less focussed on attracting with very loud music and video screens. They are there but quieter and less obtrusive .

Love this place, portion sizes are huge and you never leave empty stomached. Been a few times now and fairly consistent with their quality.

Visited Scoops with a few of my family members. What a lovely place nice atmosphere, delightful staff. Checked on here before with 90% 5 star feedback it's like any busy place!! Be sure to go back

Waited over half an hour for a waffle to arrive even though there were four staff behind the bar and the restaurant was very quiet! Not a single staff understood English which is ridiculous!

4 of us went here on one of their deals they do through Groupon. Great portions great service and at £15 for the 4 of us great value will be back.

My husband and I visited Scoops today and our verdict is that it's better than Sprinkles. The staff greeted us as we went in and were polite and friendly. We chose to have a couple of the sundaes...wow; they were delicious...lots of gelato, whipped cream, toppings and wafers. We were not disappointed at all. There was also a children's party going on but there was plenty of space for the kids to play whilst other us and customers enjoyed our sweet treats. Will definitely visit again.

Service is terrible, waited nearly 30 minutes the 1st time we came here & now on 2nd visit have waited 15 minutes even tho only 1 other customer here which was behind me & they got their order before ours was even started, when we did finally get order it was all wrong & had to go back so waited again, most tables are full up with dirty plates & not been cleaned up in the 50 minutes we have been here even tho no other customers are in, will stick to sprinkles in future

Very good ice cream nice place and seating areas. only thing i found there was abit of a language barrier. witch i found hard to communicate with some of there staff.

if we go for a group outing for waffles, we always end up coming to scoops. there's so much space, such a social setting with the massive booths that sit about 6 people at a time. i can't attest to the quality of the gelato because i usually just get waffles, but in my experience everyone always leaves very happy and very full.

I visit every time I'm in Southampton. Always excellent. Shame it isn't more widely available across the south east!

Friendly, great value and a huge menu. All ice cream based except hot drinks and plenty of flexibilty on the menu.

I went here for a friends birthday. Once of the ladies over the counter heard us talking about my friends birthday and bu surprise when my friends order came out it had a couple of candles on which was a really nice personal touch. The kids love it here and its nice to get free water in jugs. Ladies behind the counter are very friendly. Lots of space to sit and very clean and tidy. Atmosphere is nice with pop music playing. Nice decor. Overall a lovely experience and would definitely visit again.

Lovely waffles and crepes. Really accommodating with children. Whenever I've been there it's always been fairly quiet but it doesn't matter because you get served super quick. Definitely worth a try! Good luck finishing it all!!

My friends & I always go to this place as everything is nice and the owner and staff are really friendly. The great thing about this place is that it opens till midnight ;)

Visited on a Bank holiday Monday afternoon was very busy. Shame they don't prioritise getting the tables cleared and cleaned.

When there today I must say the place is superb service was excellent had a lovely waffles and a sundaes which was for my wife birthday it was presented beautifully thanks guys

Taken here on Sunday afternoon by our student son who discovered it with friends. Son and mum shared a waffle and all three of us shared a desert. Great fun food and definitely for sharing unless you have a large appetite.

The food was reasonable, but the food just looks a little odd. They also seem to have a strange attitude to hygiene. Only gave two stars because they are friendly.

My family have visited here twice now. It is amazing. The staff are excellent the service is brilliant and the atmosphere is Perfect. We can't wait to visit again.

Never disappointed. Excellent value, real ice cream and new flavours. Was offered some to try before selecting - winter cheesecake is by far the best. Will be back very soon.

I came here using a groupon voucher and so glad I did. It is handsdown better than Sprinkles. The waffle with strawberries, banana, white chocolate and ice-cream was too amazing! I have had the same in Sprinkles and it was nothing in comparison. The waffle in Scoops was a thick batter in true American style. The hot chocolate is proper thick Italian melted chocolate. My guest had a sundae that was huge and super good with huge hunks of brownie in it. We loved it all and will be back unlike Sprinkles.

This was the first time we had ever been in scoops. I have to confess that ice cream isn't my favourite treat, but my husband does.

We usually frequent a nearby ice cream parlour but my son wanted to try here instead! Lovely ice cream and friendly service, think we'll frequent here from now on.....

Everybody seems welcome here. Very mixed in ages and size of groups. Boring note- it is always very clean and there is always fresh water available to drink. Have a very good value breakfast deal if you are a early bird and very good coffee too.

Combined Groupon vouchers for a summer holidays day trip treat..morning at So'ton Dry Ski Slope (Ringoes) followed by a trip to Scoops in Portswood. We were a party of teenagers, younger children and 2 adults. I was really surprised by the quality of Scoops from start to finish. Spotlessly clean, friendly, helpful staff and an amazing array of choices on the menu! We took ages to decide and were not disappointed when the food arrived! They do birthday parties there too, which sound great and also v reasonable rates. We will definitely revisit and I would highly recommend Scoops, Southampton to friends.

3 of us went, usually visit a nearby competitor but went here for a change.

I used my Groupon voucher in this place; I was surprised by the service and the quality of the food; I wanted a nice treat for hubby and we both left the place happy; we had sundae & soft drink and this was enough as the portions were quite right size; no need to top up; I`ve been in Scoops Portsmouth before and wasn`t impressed from service and food at all; I was quite sceptic about the one in Southampton, but decided to give a go and I have to say that this time our experience was great; strongly recommend to friends and will visit again

Come to scoops every week. Always a very friendly welcome. I had the frozen yogurt which was lovely,my partner had mint choc icecap. Our friends son tried a flavour he hadn't had before but didn't like it the waitress heard this and offered to change it for him. Very kind.. scoops is spacious and always welcoming will continue to come.

Virtually identical to the sprinkles in portswood but a bit more spacious. They offer a wide variety of sweet treats great for a hot day!

Popped in this evening for an ice cream and went the whole hog and had one of their speciality sundaes. I went for the tropical one and my other half had the chocolate brownie one. The specials are a little pricey but then they're not your standard sundae and it was a treat. The menu is vast so you should find something you like.They use Gelato instead of ice cream which is, in my opinion, better than ice cream. I had 3 flavours in mine and it tasted so fresh. Plenty of seating and attentive staff who are very polite. We will be back.......soon!

This was my first gelato experience today and I must say Scoops did not disappoint!

Don't like loads of ice cream so I had the Sorbet Sensation. It was brilliant. The setting is great too. Such a friendly service. So full marks with lurve.

We have been to Scoops multiple times and are SO happy that they have come to Southampton!

Whilst it's flashily decorated in black red and chrome, it's ice cream looks and tastes wonderful. It's also very good value for money. I had a scoop of the straccitella and my wife a scoop of coffee. However there are nearly fifty varieties of ice cream and sorbets to savour. A favourite for adults, students and children. Great gelato!!

Scoops has a wide range of ice creams and desserts, served by friendly staff. There is a large eating area at the back of the ice cream parlour. Prices are ok. Would I return? Most probably.

Just managed to finish a huge three scoop ice cream sundae (Coconut Desire) which was delicious, lots of flavour and a real treat. My daughter enjoyed her Maltesers ice cream in a cone. The ice cream is not as sickly and sweet as some other nearby ice cream shops. There is a huge variety of ice creams and at least 12 different sorbets. Would definitely recommend this ice cream parlour. Lots of seating, good service, clean surroundings and overall very enjoyable. Will be going again soon.

I had asked for 3 scoops of ice cream in a tub but once he started piling on 2 scoops I had to ask him to stop there. portion sizes are enormous!!! But sooo tasty!

Had the chocolate crepe with a scoop of white chocolate ice cream and it was HEAVEN! If you've got a sweet tooth, then this is where you need to be. Came here with friends last month and look forward to returning!

This is the latest addition to our High Street for coffee and treats. A large and friendly premises offering ice-creams, hot and cold drinks, waffles and pancakes. I've now visited several times, and enjoyed each time. It has a rival ice-cream joint not far away, but is holding its own and wins on sitting space and its organizational skills for service. Staff are friendly and obliging and although there is no outside space, the front can be opened up so that you can sit almost al fresco and watch the busy comings and goings on the street.
