Very nice and attentive staff and tasty food for our lunch today. Tasty vegetarian «chicken». Calm and nice atmosphere.

I hit Scoff and Banter before it got crowded and it was lovely and peaceful. The crackly, dark rye bread that accompanied the Scottish salmon was wonderful. The French onion soup, though, was much too sweet for me and didn’t have much if any cheese— I only finished about half of it. It was a little bit of a disappointment, as it was a rainy day and I was looking for comfort food. I was imagining the typical French onion soup with a gooey and broiled layer of cheese on top, the bread soaking up the soup underneath.

Service and atmosphere was great, but, half of our group ordered burgers, and later got food poisoning. Out of 18 people, 6 had the burger, and 3 threw up less than 3 hours later. The restaurant and hotel declined our calls. The food did not match the price at all.

The Food was so bad I could barely eat 2 bites. Complete waste of 25 pounds.

Can’t comment on dishes listed below as didn’t have them-lamb wasn’t on menu Can comment on fact that on choosing wine we felt ‘ hoodwinked’ interms that we asked for a bottle and when the bill came we were charged £7 more than what we presumed was the bottle price of £23, which was in fact referring to a carafe. No bottle column on menu, indicating £. We have never been to a restaurant, certainly in this country that has offered a carafe of wine; having said this, when we did use the term bottle,to the manager who took our drink order did not point out that the bottle was in fact £7 more! The columns to the right of the menu, did say per glass and carafe, which the manager pointed out to us, when we questioned the price charged on our bill, but did not acknowledge that there wasn’t a heading of price per bottle.

Excellent fillet mignon, perfectly cooked as requested. Drinks were good, service was excellent as well.

This is my new favourite place to eat. The food is lush, looks appetising when it arrives & tastes delicious 😋. Staff very attentive.

Took my partner here recently as we were going to see a show at The Dominion Theatre, which is conveniently located very close by. The food was delicious. I had the burger and my partner, she had the sea bass, which she gave me a little taster and I agreed, it was gorgeous. We both had the Eton Mess for dessert and that was amazing. The toilets were a bit of a walk though as they're not close to the restaurant area. We look forward to returning someday.

I liked very much the service that Mohammod gave it to me, he was very attentive, and helpful, he help me with the best selection of the menú and he recommend me too ma y delicious dishes.

About what you expect from a hotel bar restaurant

We've been dining at Scoff and Banter since 2023 and we never leave disappointed. The food is excellent, particularly their fish and chips is what brings us back again again, along with the truffle mash potatoes. And don't omit the dessert, their sticky toffee pudding is delicious. Finally, and most importantly: the service is always impeccable; Salvatore and Elisabeth are extremely attentive, polite and professional, I wish restaurant service were always like that. Keep us the great job!

This is attached to a Radisson hotel. We came ahead of an early evening engagement. The greeting was friendly, the food was pleasant but the service was rather slow. It was a Monday late afternoon. They weren’t busy. Ambience also rather bland. We might come back, as the food was nice, but we’ll see.

I had a rather late dinner at the hotel and, as usual in a hotel restaurant, I didn't expect much. And yet. The fish was prepared with great sensitivity, pleasantly seasoned and juicy. Accompanied by refreshing shrimp ceviche. I ran out of carbohydrates, so I made homemade bread. In addition, the service is very friendly and cares about the guest's well-being. I recommend!

Great food and magnificent and very friendly service, Salvatore and the entire team are very friendly and have a very good command of several languages, we speak Spanish and Salvatore understood and attended to us perfectly, highly recommended.

What a wonderful experience the evening here was! I booked last minute for a final evening dinner and it definitely exceeded my expectations. Best British restaurant we found in London. The spinach and goat cheese salad was incredible! And also the toffee cake. The place is very nice and cozy and the staff super friendly!

4 of us dropped in here for a pre theatre lunch having spotted it on our last visit to the Dominion. It is a really convenient location, just a few minute’s walk away. 3 of us ordered from the set menu that is super value for London and my daughter opted for the steak. That was more expensive but she said it was delicious and promptly cleared her plate. The food and service were exceptional (apart from very hard meringues on the Eton Mess) and we enjoyed a relaxed meal setting the tone for our day out. The toilets also deserve a mention. I am very wary of using any that aren't my own however these were immaculate with great handwash/lotion. We all highly recommend and will definitely return if future shows are close by.

My husband and I visited Scoff & Banter for a pre-theatre dinner on a Sunday evening. The service was impeccable, and the food was superb - I have already booked to show a friend how lovely it is!

Nice place. Not massively atmospheric, style-wise but the food and the service are great. We both had a mushroom wellington, which we were told would take 30 minutes as prepared from scratch. Was knockout - just right. Elena served us and was great!

The restaurant is near the British Museum. Elena and the rest of the staff were very kind and welcoming. The food was also very tasty and helped us make amends with previous bad experiences with Fish and Chips.

Funny noticed a significant deterioration in service when using a promotion. They don’t have whisky glasses and we ended up just having to go to the bar and go up to pay because the service was so bad and they weren’t even busy

My daughter wanted to see Elf on her birthday, so booked a pre-theatre dinner here. It was a quiet night, so service was very attentive. The food was all very good, Beth particularly enjoyed the French onion soup. My Portobello mushroom wellington was delicious too. The wine list was interesting and we selected an Argentinian white, which was perfect. Would definitely return if we're in the area.

Reservation made for Christmas which was apparently never received by the restaurant. No solution offered, we were told that we had to call a number which was never communicated to us. I don't recommend.

I was staying at the Radisson Edwardian Kenilworth with my family and had the pleasure of getting breakfast each morning in the Scoff & Banter restaurant. There was a great variety of food available for breakfast, all of which was thoroughly enjoyed by my two teenage children. Scoff & Banter is a really lovely environment in which to begin the day. The staff were exceptional. I’d like to recommend Mohammed who looked after us so well each morning. He was incredibly attentive and nothing was too much trouble. A real treat to have stayed here and been looked after so well.

Food was nice enough but dishes lacked balance. Salmon starter was a large plate of salmon with a smaller amount of bread Main turkey was a huge hunk of turkey with a pitiful garnish of veg, three tiny roast potatoes, 3 small Brussel sprouts and three miniature carrots. Service was bizarre. Despite the place being about 25% capacity the service was very good at clearing empty glasses and plates but awful at taking orders and fulfilling them. On now than one occasion we ordered drinks and 30 minutes later they didn't turn up, seemingly forgotten. When they weren't forgotten they took 10 minutes

The food here is awful. Boring unimaginative choices (burger, fish & chips etc), bland and dry. We got the wellington (was very dry, not very tasty, needed a sauce.. I didn't eat much of it), and tortellini which is meant to be cacio e Pepe - it was ok, but bland and couldn't taste any pepper at all, definitely needed some more. It's expensive, but even if it was cheap I wouldn't eat here again because the food isn't good. It wasn't busy on a Friday night and I see why.

Prima che ci venissero a portare il menu abbiamo aspettato 10 minuti e successivamente altri 10 minuti per prendere le ordinazioni. Ci chiedono che acqua volevamo, le abbiamo risposto “una naturale”, la cameriera arriva con dei pezzi di limone che ci butta nei bicchieri e ci riempie a tutti e 3 il bicchiere fino alla fine per riempire tutta la bottiglia nei bicchieri. Successivamente ne porta un’altra, quando noi ne avevamo chiesta solamente una. Avremmo aspettato 40 minuti per l’uscita dei piatti, quindi abbastanza lenti, dato che nel ristorante non c’era troppa gente. Cibo discreto, nulla di che, senza sale il mio fish and chips. Conto, 11,00£ di due bottiglie d’acqua. Per me assolutamente una follia. Non lo consiglio a nessuno. Bocciato assolutamente.

We just went out randomly and we found Scoff&Banter on Great Russell Street. We came in and Cristian was welcomed us with a big smile. He sat us on bar area and we ordered some local cocktails which were very nice, Roxana served us with a positive attitude as well while Antoine, the Bartender making us another round. We will come back for dinner soon.

Last minute reservation on Valentine's Day, after we had to cancel our previous reservation due to inedible menu. I will start with the service because it was flawless from arrival to departure. Donato and his team were really friendly, attentive and quick in satisfying our requests. There was an effortless, genuine willingness to please us and make the evening memorable and frustration-free. And they did it with manners, smiles and elegance. Big 'Thank you'. The 4-course menu with Prosecco was rather modestly priced, compared to several other locations we checked. Food was very well cooked and brought to table 'super' hot, as we requested. The hot dishes, Seared Sea Bass and Tiger Prawns and Black Pepper-Crusted Rib-Eye Steak were outstanding. One slight shortcoming was the Dessert selection, which did not include any chocolate based choice. However, both the Apple Crumble and Cheese Platter (the latter normally attracts a supplement in other restaurants) were plentiful and nicely presented. Overall, an excellent experience that made this evening extra-special, as I wanted it to be for my wife. A comment for the attention of the General Manager: You and the interior designers team get a huge 0 stars because on such an occasion, celebrated by millions, and which you observed with the Valentine's Day Menu, you did not care to have a more celebratory decor on the 'Love theme' in the restaurant, including a flower/flowers on each table. All three of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals.I had the prawn cocktail in lettuce leaves to start,followed by the salmon and kale and then the lovely cheeseboard with pears and walnut.My friend had the signature dish of rack of lamb which I tasted and that was absolutely excellent,tender and tasty lamb! She also had the non alcoholic raspberry cocktail which she said was really delicious.The only let down was the lack of anything with chocolate in the puds.My friend had the apple crumble instead with ice cream. She said the pie was quite dry and had to ask for a small pot of cream. We were going to the Dominion theatre afterwards and this restaurant was just around the corner so just perfect. Will go back again if in that neighbourhood.

I am frequently dining at this lovely restaurant. The location is sophisticated with a calm atmosphere. I often dine on my own, in a discreet manner while receiving an amazing service. Cristian & Roxana treat me with kindness and respect, always courteous. Some of my favourite dishes are the Breaded Chicken and kale salad, the Fish & Chips. The Rack of Lamb is absolutely delicious!My go-to desserts are either the sticky toffee pudding or the apple crumble. Great selection of wines. Thank you!

We came just to have one drink and this drink was amazing. The two bartender was so friendly. Thank you to Marco and Antoine to made this drinks for us. All the team was really nice like Donato and Chris.We will be back for dinner for sure !!

We came here for a family sunday lunch at 3pm (about 4 hrs before writing this review) and i really would say dont bother.Firstly, we were told that the roasts were unavaliable despite it clearly saying on the menu between 12-5pm. Waiter got this wrong and must have been new but not a great first impression...Secondly, the restaurant is massive and was almost completely empty so we were a little confused as to why we were seated on our own in a seperate section. Atmosphere was very stale, definately no ‘banter’!!! Food was ok (and the only reason this review has been bumped up to a 2*) beef roast and rack of lamb being most popular. Not a great pudding selection.

Lovely atmosphere and good, conveniently located, a weird staff dynamic that sometimes off set the tone

My partner and I were in the area looking for somewhere to eat. Although we hadn't booked, they had no trouble in fitting us in. My partner needs a gluten free diet and the restaurant manager explained what choices were available (and remembered when we came to choose dessert).

Nice food, cooked nicely. Had steak and chips and steak was nicely cooked with good seasoning. Got mine on a plate but not keen on chopping board serving dishes that the burger and fish & chips were served on. Friendly staff and nice wine.

We purchased a dinner & theatre package from this location. Nice restaurant, lovely staff but we were very underwhelmed with the food. Had the prawn cocktail and the chicken with kale. I cannot digest kale and they offered me broccoli which was nice of them. The chicken is deep fried with a very small knob of garlic butter inside. You get that and kale, that’s it. We paid for dessert which was not worth it. All in all we still enjoyed our dinner and wine. The show was great (come from away).

Had breakfast here while staying at the Radisson next door. It’s nothing special, food offering fairly standard, service ok.

Disappointing. Family lunch, 23rd December, prior to our trip to the Dominion Theatre. The restaurant was very quiet with perhaps three or four tables occupied. There were five of us and we choose from the à la cart menu. This was surprisingly narrow and limited but this was not a problem for us. Normally, this helps the service since the kitchen does not have too many different orders.
