Reservamos una mesa para su almuerzo alcohólico para celebrar un cumpleaños. A la llegada nos dieron una copa de prosecco y pudimos elegir cualquier elemento de brunch del menú. El pan sin gluten estaba disponible, así que el camarero nos llevó a través de los artículos que se podían hacer con esto para aumentar la elección del plato. Nuestro grupo pidió las tostadas francesas y un aguacate aplastado sin gluten con salmón ahumado. Toda la comida era excelente, pero como era un brunch alcohólico era la elección de 2 cócteles cada uno que era la estrella del espectáculo. El expreso martini y negroni las opciones destacan. Pagamos £ 30 cada uno por el brunch alcohólico que encontramos que era una buena relación calidad-precio

Me siento tan mal para calificar esto tan bajo como el personal era todo encantador, pero el lugar era tan frío que era una prueba de resistencia para sentarse a través del brunch! La comida estaba bien y los cócteles también, pero creo que el brunch en Rabble o patio índigo es mejor relación calidad-precio y la calefacción está encendida! La chusma es mejor valor para lo que realmente obtienes. Esto fue agradable, pero no vale la pena el dinero. El personal era encantador, pero no podía evitar el hecho de que la habitación estaba helada.

En nuestra última mañana en Edimburgo fuimos aquí para el brunch, el personal era educado y acogedor a su llegada y el interior era precioso. Las porciones eran grandes y todo estaba a un precio razonable, la comida era tan sabrosa y bien presentada. En general tenía muy buena experiencia, no podía culparlo en absoluto. Sin duda recomendaría este lugar. Gracias.

Fuimos por el brunch Boozy, gran oferta, entorno fresco y la comida y los cócteles son fabulosos. El personal era muy servicial y el ambiente es encantador y relajado para ponerse al día. El interior también es fabuloso, así que hace que la experiencia sea un poco mejor.

Fuimos aquí para el desayuno en nuestra primera mañana en Edimburgo. El personal era muy amable y acogedor. Trajeron agua a la mesa de inmediato y me tomé un café realmente encantador. Teníamos tostadas francesas y el submarino de barbacoa. Ambos eran tan buenos. Sin duda volvería!

Este era un lugar encantador. El personal era excepcional, especialmente Adam que era muy atento y considerado. El ambiente y la música era muy buena onda.

We went for lunch and shared the haggis bonbons which were incredible and they only reason this isn't a one star review. We both ordered the chicken club sandwich. After a little while they came to the table and said that there had been a mix up in the kitchen and our food was still to be made. A little while later, it eventually arrived and was freezing. I don't think it hadn't been made, I think they had forgotten about it and it had been left lying. The chicken was like the kind of cooked chicken strips you can get from the supermarket; tough and dry. That wasn't even the worst part. The bacon on it was rock hard, and I mean rock hard. When I first bit into the sandwich I thought I had bitten into a toothpick or something inedible. It was so hard that it actually snapped the permanent brace and I now need to go to the orthodontist and get it replaced. The restaurant itself looks beautiful, the food at the other tables looked amazing as well but I worry it's all a bit more style over substance. The staff did take the haggis off of the bill because of the delay which was appreciated. The other Scran locations look better and I definitely will not be returning to the New Town location.

Best breakfast I’ve ever had! Amazing service, great portions and great variety! Wish I lived in Edinburgh to go again!

A lovely birthday lunch with my youngest daughter and partner here today. Service from Saski quite outstanding, so genuinely friendly and welcoming, Lovely food, and reasonably priced too considering its central location. I would certainly visit here again and recommend others to visit too.

Saski and Anita were amazing today. We had delicious food for brunch with the best service. Will definitely be back, thank you!

A fantastic breakfast, one of the best that myself and my partner have ever had! Servers were polite and welcoming and the food arrived promptly. Both of our meals were delicious (mushrooms and halloumi and the smoked salmon Benedict), we will definitely return next time we visit the city.

Visited for a birthday brunch with my partner, the food looked and tasted amazing (had the French toast with bacon) but the service from start to end was even better! Saskie made us feel so welcome and our waiter (sorry didn’t catch his name!) was so polite and attentive, would definitely recommend. Thank you Scran New Town for the best start to my birthday!

Booked this restaurant for brunch for 6 of us. We arrived at 10.30 for our booking and was seated right next to the door. The weather was miserable all day pouring with rain and there was a constant stream of people coming in asking for tables. It was not particularly warm inside but every time the door opened it was freezing, at times people stood in the doorway keeping the door open. We asked if we could move further back away from the door to be told it would he 20/25 mins so decided to tough it out. Food was lovely but service was poor. Asked 2/3 times for jugs of water to be told they didn't have any clean glasses and as soon as they were washed would bring to the table - the water never arrived. Ordered a final lot of drinks and gave up waiting so told waitress to cancel them to be told she would knock them off the bill - I should think so as we never received them. Poor service and not enough staff.

Cold restaurant. Everyone sitting in jackets. No obvious heating. Food look warm. Really disappointing. Would not go back.

A lovely place with great food and good service, my mate and I enjoyed a nice meal. The ambience and location are a plus as well. Good selection of vegetarian, vegan and GF options. I did dislike how I was charged £2 for a side of tomatoes (literally a ramekin full), thought that was more than a bit cheeky.

Wonderful place to have chocolate pancakes for brunch or grab a drink ! Right now, there’s construction happening on one North Bridge but you can still enter or, enter from Cockburn Street. Katie manages the place and she’s wonderful. Lovely place—great respite from walking all day.

Good food, friendly staff. Great choice of breakfast and lunch options. Portion size was great, everything was tasty and well presented. Reasonable price also.

Incredible brunch spot! A must visit. Delicious food and such a range. As well as amazing coffees, smoothies and fresh juices. The decor is beautiful and the vibe is great. Pre book to avoid disappointment! I had the avocado with smoked salmon and tomatoes on sourdough toast which was delicious and a great portion. My sister had the waffles which were topped with cream, Nutella etc - they also tasted delicious! Only negative was that as soon as you finish they want you to either order more or pay up and leave as they have a queue of people usually.

I booked a visit Scran Newtown 05/02 I was excited to visit after seeing such hype on social media. I booked in for 9am. We arrived at 8.50am the lights were off and there was no one in the restaurant. We walked in the Bistro and they invited us to sit down and wait for Scran Newtown to open. At about 9.05/9.10 we were brought across to Scran Newtown. We asked if we could sit in a booth near the neon sign at the back of the restaurant and we were told to wait until the booking system loaded up. (why were we brought in if you weren't ready) We were then put at a small table in the window/door that was which has 3/4 walls of glass. It was 0 degrees outside and freezing in this window seat. Again we asked to move and we were told they were booked up. I doubted this as it was 9am. We were made feel like an inconvenience. I could see our server was sick as she took pain killers in our eye line. I am sure you offer your staff sick days. If she wasn't well enough to do her job well I think she should have stayed at home. Disheartened by our experience at Scran we returned to the scran bistro this was a great experience in contract. It was warm with a nice atmosphere and welcoming attentive staff. Our female server has an American accent, she couldn't have done enough for us. We walked passed Scran Newtown after our food around 10.30 and I counted 5 free tables 2 of which where a booth where we originally asked to sit. In short our experience at Scran Newtown was extremely disappointing especially because our expectations were so high. Thankfully we had a really contrasting/enjoyable experience at Scran Bistro across the hall

The primary focus of this place seems to be the aesthetic of the cocktails and food. The food was very average for the price it cost and the service was pretty poor due to lack of bar staff. Was also a bit odd that a brunch place didn’t offer a full English/Scottish breakfast or a Blood Mary cocktail.

We had boozy brunch at Scran yesterday and it was amazing. Such a good deal, the food was good and the drinks even better. Bartenders special was *chefs kiss*. A special mention to all the staff who were so so lovely and attentive and especially Katie who was so accommodating and had a table ready for us to move to at Scran Bistro when they were closing for an event. Definitely recommend and will definitely be back ♥️

visited for breakfast, eggs raw on top, music blasting with swearing at 10am like a nightclub?? why ? ruined experience would’ve preferred any other breakfast location on the same street with much nicer atmosphere, wouldn’t recommend or visit again

Surprisingly quiet when we at 10am. Greeted by friendly staff. Clean restaurant. Good selection on the menu. I went with French toast which was great, I loved the brioche bread and had nice toppings. My wife got a pancake stack which she enjoyed, although maybe not her favourite pancakes as she felt they were a bit doughy. Overall, we had a good breakfast.

Kinga & Wajte amazing service, food was lush & cocktails great too. such a pretty aesthetic honestly so great. not a bad word to say
