Lovely carvery, the only thing I didn't like was the roast potatoes as they were more like Aunt Bessie's.

Mr Jobsworth wasnt very welcoming, in fact we all thought he was rather rude. The food was lovely and at the right price.

A very busy family friendly pub. Sunday lunch is reasonable and as long as you don’t mind a bit of a queue at the buffet which soon goes down it is tasty with lots of choice and a big plate full if you wish. Breakfast reasonably priced always busy.

This is just a warning to dog owners Scalby Manor is one of a very few scarborough pubs that does not allow dogs inside, eight of us turned up for a breakfast and although it was raining and windy outside with no one actually inside the pub, we were told because we had a dog, who is very well behaved, with us we could only sit outside to eat.

Went here for a Fathers day treat today and as usual it was fabulous! The carvery is brilliant with plenty to choose from and a good menu if you don't fancy the carvery. We'll worth a visit.

Scalby Manor is a great place to go for a good meal. Their Carvery is superb and is an absolute must with awesome roast potatoes.

Booked into Scalby Manor at 2pm on Sunday 15th . On the plus side the the place is run very efficiently, with the staff clearing the tables and seating the customers. The quality of the vegetables at the self service Carvery was of good quality and tasty . Unfortunately the served meat was cut so thinly and small quantity ,that l was disappointed

It's a long time since I've been somewhere to eat with such friendly, helpful and proactive staff! The food was great, I had the turkey carvery and my friend one of the fresh dough pizzas. Both seemed very fresh, very tasty and generously sized. Good selection of nonalcoholic drinks. We went at 4pm on a Saturday and although there were quite a few full tables there was still loads of empty tables and plenty of parking outside.

Excellent food and drink service was good and I feel that the establishment is in need of refurbishment very dark areas inside

ALL YOU CAN EAT BREAKFAST..... Really???? The building looks amazing, the food on the other hand doesn't. The price online says £5.99.... sounds cheap, when you get there it's not this price if you want a coffee that's an extra £2.50 if you want the pleasure of mushrooms that's an extra 50p per scoop so £5.99 is now about £9.00, theres not much option and what is there is greasy and burnt. No wonder this place is empty, no one wants to go back for another plate. I got Belgium waffles, they tasted ok but can't complain when there straight form a packet. No toppings for them tho just ketchup or brown sauce and no plates for them.. you get 1 plate "that's it" they get you this after ordering...... Do they think there going to be Nicked? Or just saving on washing. Won't be going back...... The person behind the counter is nice and polite tho. Thanks.

Delicious selection of food options. The fresh homemade pizza was tasty. The carvery on Sunday was truly enjoyable. The young waitress on the, £8.99 for any pizza night on Thursday nights was friendly, professional and helpful. She is should get recognition and credit as a valuable team member of the brand. Overall a very traditional experience with all you can eat options and hearty portions with a good standard of quality. Great value all round. Thanks for your efforts guys and compliments to the chefs.

Lovely carvery, not many staff and they were very busy and friendly. However the seat I was sitting on left a lot to be desired. It had so many marks on it. I hadn't realised until after. I would go again though.

Been going at 8pm for years to avoid crowds and kids, have been twice recently and told on both occasions that the carvery was finished, and only burgers and pizzas available. So if would appear that the carvery finishes at 8pm. Be warned.

Couldn’t fault any aspect of the visit! From the friendliness and efficiency of the staff, to the quality of the food - All spot on! Would thoroughly recommend!

Friendly staff and a wide range of options at a moderate price.

We booked a table and after waiting for the wait to be seated for 5 minutes, we were sat in a corner. We ordered using the app which worked well. The drinks arrived in good time, as did the food. The place was fine, not the cleanest but okay. The host who sat us down was helpful but he did vape now and again which I don't like. Even though the website said last orders at 9pm, some people arrived at 8:30pm for food and we were turned away. We had planned on staying for a few drinks as we were staying in the campsite next door but the place died pretty early.

If you take kids to waterpark nearby this place is definitely worth a visit food is lovely staff are great thankyou will visit again

First time here food was lovely, had a carvery the beef was lovely and it was nice to see an option to have a very a very good quality sausage plus I also had a bit of turkey. All 3 meats was lovely, veg was cook nice not soggy and yorkshire pudding was crisp. All in all very good value and quality.

The breakfast was ok choice was bit limited coffee.not nice

Very disappointing indeed. A restaurant with pizza in the advertising COULDN'T provide any pizza nor any starters!!! Not told prior to arriving and told midway through drinks on the bar and too late to move to another restaurant. Alternative food passable but no way good. Went here for the pizza for the majority of our party so extremely let down by this operation. Staff may not urn up but this should be managed. If you are planning to eat here I strongly suggest you ring to check they are serving the menu as advertised.

This has changed management. To stone house still a carvery but now been refurbished and also doing pizzas now and a new children play area but sad to say that the play area has now been removed for some reason i noticed this on my last visit still great value for money. Well worth a visit. For family meals

Absolutely fantastic service here! Super atmosphere great beer garden. Lovely and clean. Gorgeous food made by the brilliant Tom. The bar tenders are second to none particularly Leona who is just the friendliest lady and makes us feel so welcome. Thanks guys

6 family members including one child went for dinner and drink. The staff were lovely, the food was good and great value and we all enjoyed our time

The app doesn't work and I was unable to order a takeaway carvery!!! Very disappointed that you had no carvery available on the 5th of August. 😢

We visited with our two children and dog whilst camping next door. We enjoyed our meal in the beer garden where dogs are welcomed. The food and service were excellent. We ordered fresh pizzas and some chicken with BBQ sauce. Everything was well presented and tasty. The fajita pizza was particularly good. Ordering is so easy via the app and we had a relaxing and enjoyable meal.

Ok, carvery was standard, missing a few things and it didn't look great. I ordered a chicken burger it was lovely, no photos as I wasnt that impressed

We've been here a few times now as a large family on a Saturday a d really enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere. The staff are always friendly, accommodating and helpful. Would definitely recommend a visit.

I prefer Stonehouse Carvery over Toby as it’s usually much better value for money. Visited the Svalbard Manor on a Sunday and had to wait to be called up to the carvery deck which is a first but it was busy there even at 12pm. The team were all very polite and ready for a busy day. Would have been a 5* but the floor under the table hadn’t been swept after breakfast rush.

better second time around, 1st time the atmosphere smelt of greasy food, the 2nd was better no greasy smell only general cooking.

We visited for Sunday carvery, the staff were very accommodating as we were a large group and we did book upfront. Food was lovely , the staff were friendly and welcoming. We had a birthday cake which we wanted for the table that was also no trouble for them , special mention to the gentleman on the door and Amy the lady that looked after us while we had our meal . Great service , super staff , nothing too much trouble will visit again 😀.

Ordered carvery expecting a choice of meat but only gammon left (7pm Friday)

Booked a table of 8 for father's day, I have serious food allergies but this was bit a problem. We were met at the door by Tom who made sure everything was fine. I had the carvery and Tom talked to the kitchen so that I got separate vegetables. Everything was perfect and the whole experience ran like clockwork. I will definitely go back and would recommend it to people with food allergies.

Good food which came quickly. Service was begrudging to the point of being rude.

We booked, but really no need as it's dead! We weren't given a kids menu despite walking in with a toddler, but found one online. We ordered on the app, requesting the kids meal be served asap, but they ignored that, bringing it out last in fact. When our pizzas and kids beef burger arrived, the kids burger bun was rock solid and burger cold and nasty looking. We returned this meal and requested nuggets instead if the burgers all look like this but they brought another burger (by the time we had finished our pizzas, and shared with said child so he didn't go hungry). The second one came just the same so we got a refund. The lady serving us did apologise but I don't feel as a business they are bothered at all. The dessert we ordered as part of the kids meal was therefore cancelled due to the refund and we were told we had to reorder. No offer of fast tracking this by way of apology or anything. We waited a further 25 minutes for desserts and gave up, we went back to feed our own child after the pub managed to serve him absolutely nothing! We will never return. What a shame when there is a captive market of people on the campsite they could feed.

Late afternoon pizza and pints .

Ordered Scampi and chips. The chips were rock hard. I told the staff and was promised a replacement meal. Back came fresh chips and the same scampi and peas by this time cold. Asked for the replacement meal only to receive hard chips and half cooked peas 🤔 I was better off not complaining in the first place. 2 stars only because the staff were friendly.

Brilliant pub grub. Amy was very helpful and attentive. Good burgers!

First time visiting with my partner and small child. We didn't book a table but they worked around what they had and squeezed us in. There seemed to be an issue with the ordering app and it missed my kids meal. Julie/ Jules was super helpful and made sure to have the meal cooking while I placed another order. She was fantastic. All the staff were fabulous and the food we had was absolutely delicious. We are looking forward to going back and having some ice-cream next time. 100% recommend visiting this place.

All Staff were very helpful and friendly from the bar staff to the waiters to the chefs Nothing was too much trouble and really helped with my parents who needed assistance Food was hot and very tasty

Normally the beef is fantastic but on this week Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday it was unfortunately poor, it was bitty, fatty, chewy and on Wednesday particularly not much beef in the portion.

Excellent service in a lovely building. Great choice of vegetables with the carvery. Lovely find when on holiday in the area.

Although the Sunday carvery is really nice, the crackling is cooked too much so you can’t get your teeth thru it! It really needs to be cooked for a little less time so people can actually bite into it! This is why I prefer the Carousel on a Sunday because their gammon/pork crackling is cooked just right, not too hard and not too soft!

The Philly burger was a disappointment. It sounded so good on the menu but the pulled beef was almost non existent. The fried onions were minimal at best. The burgers were ok. My partner had the bbq chicken burger. It’s was unimpressive. The promised crisp lettuce and other things were not there. It was edible but not very interesting. We tried to ask but the staff couldn’t be attracted once we had our meals.

Helpful, hardworking, friendly staff. Well organised no fuss no waiting around. Tables cleaned straight away, ready for next guests. Carvery clean and constantly putting fresh food out.

I wasn't really expecting great things tbh, but absolutely lovely greeting and service. Ok it wasn't too busy but food service also was fabulous and food was great. Excellent value as well for burger Monday. Tasty and filling. Friendly and hard working staff by looks of things. Carvery looks good too, will have to try it next time 😋👍

We were a party of 7 and were seated and looked after quickly and efficiently with great customer service. The carvery was the best cavery we've had, the whole table had the carvery and said the same thing. Juls looked after us and was great

Fried bread, hash browns, bacon, sausages and tomato's all good, black pudding slightly overdone too crispy, baked beans had so much liquid in the dish you could not see them (looked like tomato soup) had to fish about with ladle to find them!!! All 8 of us were disappointed that mushrooms are not included on the buffet, surely they are standard fare on a full English breakfast. All the staff were friendly and efficient. The ice cream machine is quite noisy.

Friendly and helpful staff. Good selection of food available - great selection on the Carvery (occasionally limited on the meat selection, so get in early !).

A great carvery with lots of meat and vegetable choices. The usual menu is usual pub fair but is very tasty and reasonably priced the breakfast carvery is always a favourite too, lots of choice and you can pick and choose which makes it easier for picker eaters.

Lovely pub, lovely staff, lovely food the meat carver was the best really want to say Thank you to him. We had our special needs son with us and the meat carver was brilliant nothing was too much trouble gave our son 2 sausages and Yorkshire puddings that he wanted, been loads of restaurants where they are quite strict saying no only 1 Yorkshire pudding unless you pay extra but will highly recommend this restaurant for being so accommodating.
