Friendly staff, nice little games room, beer garden looked nice

Called this Monday afternoon. A well refurbished dog friendly bar, no hand pulled beers unfortunately, Coors ok but the sauvignon blanc wasn't the best. Outdoor space lacked sun and the seating was all sticky from the tree aphids.

Stopped by for drinks. Nice pub with lots of seating. WiFi situation was EE and had to pay.

This place is a hidden gem in Scarbados. We only discovered it a few years back even after visiting Scarborough for the past 20+ years! Food is gorgeous but beware big portions! My daughter and I share after our first visit where we were stuffed after ordering a meal each. Bar lady Libby makes your visit even more enjoyable. She's such a sweetie. Makes time for you, offers recommendations and is probably the best barmaid in Scarborough!

Pleasant and dog friendly bar with really good food. No hand-pulled ales but the draught IPA was excellent. Not busy on our visit but at 2pm on a rainy Monday afternoon you wouldn't expect it to be. I would be very happy to return.

Called here for a drink at 9.15 pm on a Thursday only to be told 'sorry we've stopped serving '. even though the website says open till 12. Top tip here...take your custom to the Crescent over the road, that's what we did !!

Went on Bank Holiday Monday Only I person serving who was run off her feet. Running the bar, serving food, and clearing tables. Took 1 hour 20mins for the food to arrive which was nice but penny pinching management need to get more staff in on busy days. The girl serving needs a medal.

Reasonable prices for drinks, ate from the 2 for £18 menu, great for price

Just called in for a drink when passing and the beer garden is lovely. Maybe next time we are there we'll have a meal, they looked lovely when they were brought to the tables. The staff seemed very friendly and helpful.

Excellent food and staff, friendly . Nice outdoor seating area, I had the vegetable burger with salad, my daughter in law had the curry.

Great outdoor area, most seats under cover if it rains, decent beer and great atmosphere. Would highly recommend a visit if you are passing.

Ordered food took over 40 minutes to for our plates to arrive friends bar person did apologise. meal was OK mine was a lot of rice not much chilli

We spent ova 30 odd quid and it was small and the drinks were ridiculous I had too sips literally it was rubbish would never come here again

Came across this pub by accident today. What a lovely place. The food was excellent and the service was really welcoming. We didn't have too many drinks as we had a few drivers in our group. It was a shame because we could have happily spent a few hours there. Really enjoyed our visit.

Went in to this bogus establishment at 2pm for a sunday dinner, and told me they'd stopped serving, what a waste of business. I believe this is the reason the place was almost empty!! Very disappointing

Very over piriced, staff on our day where miserable, shame its a beautiful place, every other pub busy, no one in when we came to you, and for such a lovely place staff don't have nice unkform

Had lunch here. We both had a ciabatta with chips and salad. The service was very friendly. The sandwich was freshly made and delicious. The only letdown was that the chips were cooked in very old oil and so not great.

Staff need training in customer service! Not told the prices or offered a receipt. Part of order unavailable, weren't told til after we'd ordered and another part of order would arrive after our main food.

Called for a quick pint and some food. The food was very reasonable and was excellent.

Nice place but never open when they say. In the past month me and my partner have left the house specifically to come here 4 times and all times it’s been closed even tho they say it’s open. Disappointing when you come all that way for nothing

The food arrival was slow, but the meals were tasty and plentiful.

Lovely little place, popped in, had a quick drink, was very warm and inviting, and the service was good. A lovely lady who served us had a smile and was chatty. Will pop in again when next in Scarborough.

Overall, good experience Food was excellent, high quality and good sized portions. Price was reasonable. Service at bar and on leaving was spot on. Server who served our meal could have been friendlier. No smile to be had! Other than that, would eat here again

Very pleasant service by polite staff. Lots of televisions for those who like that sort of thing. NO handpulled cask beers, yikes!! Crikeybobs, quelle horreur! But.... food was good n that's what I came in for. Reasonably priced menu. I had loaded potato skins with mushrooms, jolly nice n jolly filling.

Went for grandaughters birthday waited ages for food then food was over cooked and burnt chips were burnt and raw in middle and scampi was not cooked spoilt the day won't be going there again

One of the best outdoor seating areas in Scarborough , however prices of drink are very expensive compare to other bars so we don't frequent it as much as we used too. Most of the Staff are friendly and has a good atmosphere when busy in summer

Had a good solid what expected Sunday lunch (veggie sausages offered as alternative to meat 👍🏻) would have. Liked to have seen more potato on plate to fill up, 4 tiny roasties. Lovely decor though, both inside and outside. Def. looks amazing. If white led lighting is an issue for your eyes, then this is only reason to avoid.

Accidentally walked into this place thinking it was the brewers fayre next door, it's a good job we did too, got a nice seat outside and the food was excellent. Worth a visit if you're looking for good pub food in the area and don't want to go for a chain pub.

Food absolutely fantastic. I had cacun chicken ciabatta my husband steak and cheese ciabatta both lots of filling steak and chicken cooked lovely, love the triple cooked chips. Great place

Lovely food and exceptionally friendly staff.

Bar was quiet although it was a Tuesday lunch. Food was okay. Sandwiches were good but the chips were more like soggy greasy wedges. Not a fan. And the table was a bit sticky.

Great food a little too much for me but that not a complaint I'm just little over 55 and cant eat so much these days lol A little quiet but that's probably because it's on a Tuesday. Very enjoyable . Little upset there wasn't any Steaks on the menu but my partner chose hunters chicken which was very good .

Visited last week with friend, was pre warned upto hour wait on food, this wasn't to much of an issue as sun was shining so we enjoyed the sunny weather, and few drinks, the prawn cocktail was presented beautifully. I am a fussy eater won't eat tomatoes or cucumbers. So asked for peppers and onions with it instead 😋

4 of us walked in for an unplanned meal. Service was excellent. We ordered four different meals and they all came out at the same time piping hot. Honestly one of the best meals I have had in Scarborough. Highly recommend and would give 6 stars if I could.

The staff couldn't be more helpful. I'm partially disabled and they always have time to have a chat and ensure I have a seat.

Nice bar, bit expensive. Very popular on weekends. You'll be lucky to find a seat in the beer garden during weekends. 👍

We received a warm welcome from the bar staff who were helpful and smiley. We ordered food for 5 people that arrived hot and cooked to perfection. The chicken fajitas arrived at the table sizzling as good as any Mexican restaurant. The steak was cooked exactly as asked for and all salad ingredients were fresh and crisp. Good size portions and great value for money. We look forward to our next visit.

It is the best pub in Scarborough. We drive 70 miles for their fantastic food. Never falters. Thankyou.

I found this pub without any problems. There was a notice on the door saying people wearing work overalls & tracksuit bottoms were not allowed in. I didn't have a problem with that notice. Staff customer service skills were excellent. Good selection of beers on the tap. Tables were clean. They have a beer garden out the back of the pub, Ideal for the smokers . I would recommend any visitors at Scarborough to go in this pub. Yes I would definitely go in this pub again

Don't be put off if the bar staff don't immediately show enthusiasm for your custom - you'll find that they do care after all and the food is excellent and the portions generous.

My husband and I have eaten here 3 times this week while staying in Scarborough for a break . The staff are all lovely and welcoming and the food is all fresh and delicious and the Sunday lunch is the best iv ever had in any pub . If your in the area I highly recommend you try this place you won’t be disappointed 😊

The steak and Stilton salad was amazing. Highly recommend.

Great bar man friendly and helpful, I had chicken curry with wonderful chunky chips lovely and hot my husband had gammon with egg and chips would reccomend it and we will definitely go back .

Good service and good quality food

Not great - no food available on this evening and lager was not great.

We've eaten here for the past 4 or 5 years everytime we're in Scarbs and the foods been consistently lovely, would recommend to anyone.
