Savoy Tandoori Restaurant in Great Yarmouth

I have eaten here quite a few times over many years of comming to yarmouth. The staff are very welcoming and the food was lovely. Some of the best chicken tika ive had in a long time. If your looking for a curry while on holiday i reccomend giving this place a go.

Went here for dinner last night not expecting anything amazing, just fancied an Indian. But this was honestly the best Indian we have had in a long time. Every single dish was bursting with flavour and well cooked and the service was lovely. My personal stand out was the starter Honey Chicken. Would absolutely recommend!

Had a lovely time with my partner for our anniversary dinner. The atmosphere was wonderfully relaxing and the wait team were incredibly friendly and welcoming! The food was as delicious as it smelled too! I had a lamb korma and it had a lovely creamy tenderness to it, perfectly hitting my craving for rich simplicity. The only tragedy was that I couldn't take my leftovers home with me as we’re not from the area. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a yummy Indian by the seaside!

Walking into this restaurant initially left me skeptical about what to expect from the food quality. However, once we decided to give it a try, we were pleasantly surprised. To start, we ordered the shami kebab and were delighted by its flavor and texture, along with other starter items that exceeded our expectations. Encouraged by this, we moved on to the main courses. The rogan josh stood out as particularly delicious, while the lamb korma and prawn korma delighted the kids. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her vegetable biryani, and my choice of rogan josh with tandoori roti was equally satisfying. The friendly service added to our positive experience. Overall, we had a great dining experience and would confidently recommend this restaurant to anyone in search of quality Indian cuisine in the area.

The food was surprisingly well made, served fast and piping hot. A very wide range of options and very friendly staff. With it not being too busy there was only the one server who was very nice but very busy, and music was played through a projector off YouTube, because of the auto play we had a mix of atmospheric music and screamo, an overall good evening

Perfect place for a delightful dinner. Lovely curry with other dishes. Only came to Great Yarmouth for a few days and wish I found this place from day one. Food, amazing, service amazing, atmosphere perfect. I can’t recommend enough. 👍

Stayed in Great Yarmouth for half term with the family and wanted an Indian while we stayed. Looked at a few restaurants but the savoy had the best reviews and it didn’t disappoint. Great food with very nice and polite service. Was very kind and welcoming to our children too. Would return in the future.

Hi all I'm Andy and my wife is Maddy we ate at the Savoy Tandoori on Friday 23rd May great yarmouth, 1st time there we'll the food was absolutely fantastic full of flavour gorgeous and the service was excellent 1st class, a lovely comfortable place to eat Indian food. We will definitely be eating there again couldn't fault it in anyway at all. If you like Indian food if you're in yarmouth make it a date to eat there you will not be disappointed if you don't eat there you will be missing out big time 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋

i took my kids for a dine out.. the food was well cooked and delicious .. bu their staff was passively aggressive, ignoring and rude.. their staff kept coming across in the face .. we have to pack our food and leave.. i just don't get it ..keep your integrity ... your successes in hard work and genuineness not settling scores with customers from countries you have a bad civil relation with.. bring rude does not make you more western..

Had a lovely meal when visiting great Yarmouth for the evening (was a Friday night). The gentleman who served us was very friendly, answered any questions anyone had about the food and very attentive.

Dined on a Sunday evening off season and we were the only diners. Meals were really nice. I had a Chicken Schaschlik for main and the flavors were amazing. Very large portions and struggled to finish. Would recommend if you like Indian style food.

Absolutely stunning food and some real tell tale signs the owners care about your experience. First sign things were going to be a touch above was the mango lassi, homemade heavy on the mango pulp and lighter on the yoghurt. So rare to have homemade items especially the drinks. In fact the samosas were homemade - packed full of nicely spiced meat and potatoes. Even the naan was homemade. The selectin on the menu was good with some unique specialities, the catfish was fantastic. Service was great - friendly and professional - very welcoming and we had a great day out celebrating a birthday. We will be back!!

I was eating this evening at savoy tandoori in great yarmouth with my family food was absolutely fantastic and service was top notch as well we are really happy and defiantly come back again.

A little on the expensive but delicious food. Parking round that area before 6pm is a bit of a nightmare.

Me and my dad were visiting great yarmouth for one evening. We found this place on google due to the reviews and it lived up to expectations. The chicken korma was the best I’ve ever had! Would definitely visit again if in the area.

The welcome was warm and friendly, the service was prompt but also unhurried, and the food was absolutely amazing!! I will certainly recommend this restaurant to others, and will deffo come again when im next in Yarmouth!!

Good service, waiter polite and greeted us on arrival. Ordered drinks and bottle of wine. We had poppadoms and dips, mixed starters, garlic king prawn, butter chicken, rice and garlic naan bread. The butter chicken was really salty and we mentioned this to the waiter. Overall an average Indian meal.

What a lovely evening. The restaurant music and atmosphere. Lovely young lady served us. The food was amazing. So tasteful and coming from London seems extremely good value for money. Balti had so much flavour. Even nann you could taste the quality and freshness of every dish. Only possible thing is 40 minutes wait.. BUT I knew when I was eating everything was fresh nothing was pre pared as you could taste it. Which I would rather wait longer for fresher food than less for pre made food. Thankyou to the restaurant and cloe who asked us to write a review. Will return again.

We had a curry delivered for a Birthday/New Year’s Eve celebration. It was delivered on time and was still hot when it arrived. The food was delicious a there was plenty of it. Would definitely order from them again 😁

We booked very last minute for new year’s eve and what a treat we have had. Food was excellent, big portions and full of flavour. Service was amazing, nothing was too much for our waiter “Ship”. We are already planning on returning and cannot fault this place. It’s a must visit when in Great Yarmouth. 5*

We went to this fabulous place tonight and the food and service we received was truly outstanding. 4 of us all had the most amazing food the flavour of all the dishes was just lovely. The food and service was fantastic, they were very attentive without being in your face, we took some great yarmouth natives ( we're on holiday from Hertfordshire) who had never been before and didn't know why but will definitely return.

We had a delicious meal last night, enjoyed the Hippodrome show and finished the night off with lovely food and perfect service! 10/10 for everything

We were visiting the area for the evening and found this restaurant on trip advisor. The kids all fancied curry so we decided to give it a go. We got a very warm welcome from the staff. The atmosphere was nice and the surroundings clean and presentable. Coming from London, I was shocked to see bottles of wine on the menu at less than £15! We started with poppadoms (served warm) and dips, then the honey chicken and a selection curries/rice/breads for main. Everything was beautifully presented and very tasty too. My favourite was the lamb madras, very tender a nice amount of spice. The kids were made to feel very welcome, nice family friendly place. Extra little touches included warmed plates, iced tap water, warmed towels and mint chocolates at the end. You don’t find those nice little touches often these days. We all said it was one of our favourite curries and living in the capital, we’ve eaten in some really nice places. Definitely recommend!

We were amazed about this smallish, intimate restaurant . The service was so good, not 'in your face'. The music and video screen didn't distract from the ambience either. The food was presented beautifully, the best I've seen. Was delicious in the extreme too. We had a mixed starter ,poppadoms and Lamb Korma with Pilau rice. Not greasy at all and full of flavour. The waiting staff were very good and we would return here again most definitely.

Ordered a take a way while on holiday up in Great Yarmouth. Everything was top notch, it was ready to collect on time and with great portions, could not fault the food at all 👍.

Meat curry this is the best place ever for its so tender. I have this meal every time we come here husband had the king prawn madras and throughly enjoyed it ,with all the trimming of course.

I use this restaurant every time I work in Yarmouth , I had my benchmark meal tonight , Prawn jalfrazi and special fried rice . Absolutely top quality , prepared beautifully . I’ve had other chooses in here on former visits including a naga curry , a brilliant dish if you like it top end hot like I do 10/10 guys

The absolute best Indian in great Yarmouth without a shadow of a doubt! Cannot recommend enough. Great service and polite helpful staff. Food was 5 star! Big fan of the Indian music.

Some of the best Indian food I’ve had in a long time. The chefs special lamb dish I had was incredible, perfectly cooked lamb and a delicious sauce. Exceptional peshwari naan too. The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful, I will absolutely be going again!

I’m writing this on my third visit to this restaurant in Great Yarmouth where had not expected to find a Bangladeshi curry house with classic curry house food, Bangladeshi specialities and great service, let alone one where they serve Halal food. I’d highly recommend the Satkora (Bengali Lemon) dishes for classic Bengali flavours.

First time we had visited this restaurant since we moved to Yarmouth just over a year ago, and it won't be the last! We were greeted by such warm and friendly staff and made to feel most welcome, they took a genuine interest in making sure we had everything we needed, and the service was absolutely first class. The food was quite honestly the best Indian food we had ever had, perfectly cooked, presented and spiced, absolutely beautiful food, honestly cannot fault anything about it. The chef is clearly absolutely amazing! All in all the meal was an absolute delight, I have no hesitation at all in recommending Savoy Tandoori to anyone wanting a top class meal with fantastic service and at a very reasonable price. Thank you to all the staff, and in particular Ships who was so helpful, kind and friendly. We will be back and will be recommending to others!
