Creative apple and celeriac soup, top notch fish course, an eclectic cheeseboard, and friendly staff and chef made this a truly memorable experience.

Wow what a special place! 10/10 for everything! Amazing ambience, top class service and the food was all delicious and so flavoursome. We had a cheese board as our third course, we eat a lot of cheese & it was the best cheese we’ve ever had, like heaven! Highly, highly Recommend & we’d love to return again.

My wife and I had a fantastic meal at Saveur tonight, I had herb crusted Lamb , my wife had sea bass, we regularly eat out, this was exceptional food and was one of the best meals we have eaten in Exmouth. The choice of food caters for all tastes, the service is excellent with a great atmosphere. I would recommend Saveur to anyone looking for an exceptional food experience.

We booked a table some time before our mini break in Exmouth because of other reviews and we weren't disappointed. Despite the restaurant having a large group, the service and communication from the owner and her husband chef was great, very hospitable and the food was fabulous. Definitely will be returning 😀

We were celebrating my Partner's birthday and Saveurs made it a very special evening. A warm, friendly welcome, smiling, helpful and pleasant staff, and the food was outstanding. A truly accomplished chef. A memorable evening and they are worthy of their Rosettes. We will definitely be back again.

Our family's first visit to Saveur. And certainly not our last! The atmosphere and ambience was very relaxing, the service first-class and and the lunchtime offers were excellent value. The starters (creedy carver duck and Asian cured salmon) were the perfect appetisers to get our tastebuds tingling, our main course ('Catch of the Day' - Hake with brown shrimp and samphire nut brown butter) was simply superb, and the dessert (local honey parfait) reigned supreme. Having a gluten intolerance, I was personally informed of all the options available to me (many more than I'd expected), even adapting dishes to suit my needs. The whole experience was flawless from start to finish and certainly worth every penny. Thank you to all the team for making our visit so enjoyable...we are already planning our next one!

This was our second visit to Saveure having had a very good meal here a year ago. On this occasion we were thanking a close associate for doing some very good work for us so it was important that it was good - and it was. In fact it was outstanding. I don’t recall what everyone ate but I had the Asian Cured Salmon, the Hake with shrimp and samphire brown butter with spinach and the Crème Brûlée. All the dishes were delicious. It turned out we all had the Hake with one or other of the sauces and all agreed it was one of the finest cooked pieces of fish we had eaten for a long time. Saveure really I s a very good restaurant!

Absolutely superb food. Monkfish scampi with a curry sauce was beautiful and the steak was melt in the mouth - could have eaten another one! The woman who served us was strange - abrasive and loud - when we asked if there were chips with the steak she said they were not a fish and chip restaurant in an aggressive way. We felt uncomfortable with her and thankful we did not have cause to complain as we wondered how she would react to complaint. Pity as it spoilt amazing food.

Would have score top on atmosphere but we were the only guests which is a shame as a real find in Exmouth. The food is innovative and cooked to perfection 👌. Well done on receiving your eighth AA stars plate. Well deserved. We will return.

This is a classy but unpretentious restaurant with a really friendly vibe. Nigel the chef is a genius with food and flavourings. The front of house ladies are very approachable and informative about the choices. Cheeses to die for. Such a range! Steak is always excellent and my other half loves their scallops. Bit pricier than most other restaurants, but you get what you pay for. Which is Fine Dining!

We were expecting a first class dining experience and we weren't disappointed. The food, the wine and the service were all outstanding.

Wonderful meal here with my wife. Mackerel pate Fish soup Fillet steak Hake Pineapple Treacle Tart All 5* Lovely service, beautiful intimate surroundings. A real gem.

Unfailingly excellent. All the courses were delicious with fish, hake in this case being the star, something I'd not expected to say about hake. As ever there was some alchemy with sauces, with flavours emerging that you would not expect but enhancing the overall dish. We decided firmly not to have pudding until we changed our minds as they all sounded delicious but the cheeseboard was the highlight with two local cheeses showcasing the quality. Not expensive, if shabby chic bothers you then concentrate on the food and the service was impeccable.

Very welcoming and cheery patronne, who insists on keeping the quality level up. They sort out service times to ensure the chef can deliver, and he does. I imagine (hope) the chef would have some help if the restaurant filled up, but the setup we encountered gave us a super meal at a reasonable price.

Exceptional food in the heart of Exmouth. This place offers French cuisine of the highest quality. The restaurant is neither large nor cheap, but well worth the money. I was blown away by the quality and taste of my steak and had probably one of the best creme brulees ever. We look forward to coming back next time.

We wanted to treat friends to a fabulous meal on their stay with us and Saveur did not disappoint. All food is beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. We all ate everything, and it made our evening together special and memorable. We went home very full and very happy.

Small and intimate, Saveur is big on quality, presentation and taste! We had a Friday lunch date, and my monkfish starter was melt in the mouth, as was my fillet steak main. My wife's ham terrine starter and hake main were equally excellent. Go - you won't be disappointed. We'll definitely be back again and again.

We have lunched at Saveur twice now and can't recommend it enough. Located in Tower Street in the centre of Exmouth, this is a two AA rosette restaurant, an award which is difficult to achieve and in my experience always a sign of very high standards. Saveur is a small, smart and intimate venue and you will get a very warm welcome from Kerry and her front of house team. Service is friendly and efficient. The food here is absolutely delicious and in my opinion is the best you will get in Exmouth. Saveur showcases fresh, locally sourced produce so you will find monkfish from Brixham (the monkfish scampi starter is a masterpiece), beef from the Powderham estate, locally sourced pork and there's a 'catch of the day' served with a choice of sauces, sautéed potatoes and vegetables. For a fine dining experience the prices here are competitive. If you're on a bit of a budget then there's a lunchtime offer of 2 courses (£25.50) or 3 courses (£29.50) comprising selected dishes from the menu. The first time we ate here we went for the lunchtime offer and on the most recent visit we selected from the wider menu. I honestly can't rate Saveur highly enough, Exmouth is lucky to have such a superb restaurant in the town centre. We will most certainly return!

My parents live in Budleigh and every time I visit them we have a meal out at Saveur. Without fail, the food is magnificent, and the service is impeccable - Kerry is just so good at her job! The restaurant is small, but the atmosphere is still good, because you are made to feel at home. The decor is really nice, a good pitch between posh night out, but still relaxing. But mainly, it's all about the food. Menus change every season, but a few favourites get repeated; all are faultless. Price isn't cheap, but you get what you pay for.

We came here for a family lunch as our son was visiting from London. This is the second time we have visited, (the first was for dinner for my wife’s birthday). This is without doubt the best food in Exmouth. Nigel’s cooking is sublime and Kerry is a super host. For lunch I had the wild garlic soup, the dover sole which had the most amazing citrus and cockle sauce, and the creme brûlée. I have made it my duty to seek out creme brûlée whenever I go out and I have to say this is it! Just perfect. Worth the price of admission for this alone! We will, of course, be going back!

We visited again today to celebrate my husband's birthday. What a great restaurant! Kerry was attentive, as ever, and the food was amazing. My husband had the scrumpet to start and I had the mussels. The scrumpet was a tasty and interesting take on the usual ham hock terrine. We both had the tarragon chicken which was delightful and shared a dessert and cheese. Thank you, another great dining experience.

We have been here for lunch before and it is always lovely. We chose thhe fixed price lunch menu, three courses for £27.50. We had Ham Hock and local Black Pudding Scrumpetwith Gribiche to start. Followed by Chargrilled lemon and rosemary cornfed Chicken with Camembert Potatoes, fine beans and Garlic and Tarragon Sauce. Desert I chose Citrus Posset, Rhubarb, Ginger and Honeycomb and my partner chose Warm Frangipani, Apple Compote, Buttermilk Icecream and Crispy Almonds. Exceptional meal again - thank you.

What a great little restaurant, which took a bit of finding because it is away from the tourist areas. The food was absolutely delicious and served with a smile. Excellent value for money !!!

A fabulous restaurant with an amazing menu and great ambience. As a diagnosed Coelaic I felt very comfortable with the knowledge Saveurs had and enjoyed the tastiest soup with a warm glutenfree roll, Lemon sole and dessert. The staff were friendly and welcoming. A lovely evening to celebrate my birthday 🥳

Great atmosphere and owners and exceptional food. One of the best meals my partner and I have had in a long time. If you get the chance to have the monkfish starter do not miss out on it, it was mindblowing. The lamb shoulder melted in your mouth, and the brownie for desert was beautiful. If I could give 6 stars I would.

I love this restaurant. The chef is talented and his partner is a fantastic host. A lunch here is a real treat and is the set menu is superb value. Cheese board to die for!! I dine out a lot and have previously worked in kitchens for approx 20 years. I think this is one of the best places to eat in Devon.

I passed this restaurant many times but when I looked at the menu it sounded too posh for me. Yesterday I finally decided to give it a try so I discovered another gem. The menu looked and sounded fancy but I got over it. The food was perfectly cooked and presented and, after starter, main and dessert I felt right (not hungry, not stuffed). No, is not cheap because is not McDonald's (not even that is cheap anymore) but it was totally worth it. *We went back for an evening meal and my God, we were amazed (again) by the careful way they were cooked and presented and, of course, by the flavours! We should be honoured for having such a 💎 in our lovely town 🙏❤️.

Great food as always. We haven’t been for dinner for some time monkfish scampi Black bream and choc fondant with blackcurrant sorbet all hit the spot. Delicate refined cuisine with imaginative twists and no pointless frills. One of my foodie half french london friends said the creme brule was the best she had ever eaten. Thanks to the Team.

Delicious inventive seasonal starters: as a solo diner with a modest appetite, the starter offerings at Saveur were just superb. I chose the salt baked beetroot with walnut, trickle more cheese, pickled pear with a local honey and truffle dressing; and the honey roast ham hock and confit turkey terrine, accompanied by celeriac remoulade, truffle aioli, crispy ham and pickled shallots. Simply outstanding.

Amazing evening meal, superb service and the food was all a "taste sensation" for us foodies that enjoy and appreciate flavour. This restaurant is the best in Exmouth town centre and in a fabulous central location.
