Saunton Golf Club Restaurant in North Devon

Everything you want from a golf club - the standard burger and chips, sandwiches and also some excellent sub-bistro fare.

Only had a coffee (not the greatest) however polite helpful staff and beautiful views. We will be back!

The food is very reasonably priced given what a superb course this is with commensurate green fees. Service is friendly if a little quirky.

Just what was needed after a few hours on the course. Portions were very generous and tasty - Cottage pie/ham, egg, chips and a very interesting clubhouse.

Fab end to a good day. Staff very friendly and the food was very good and a great way to finish off. The cottage pie defeated my partner, something I failed to do on the course but he looked just as happy. My ham, egg and chips excellent.

Came here with family last week and the all day breakfast I had was delicious. The food also came quickly and the staff were friendly. There are great views of the golf course and the restaurant looks very clean and up to date. I would recommend although don't forget there are dress requirements!!

Good wholesome food, large portions and reasonable priced. Fantastic views from clubhouse overlooking 18th green.

What better than a pint of Gunner and round of prawn sandwiches ? Pleasant bar staff and quick service - eat inside or on the terrace.....

The Saunton Golf Club restaurant offers a wide range of well cooked food for all tastes.There Devon pastes will satisfy any golfer after there round.Staff are helpful and polite.

Ordered a turkey roll and chips when served the roll was moldy so they changed it for a sandwich which tasted awful, 20 minutes later out came the chips. A superb golf course but I would suggest you eat else where

The menu is fairly extensive for a Golf club, and the quality of the food is very good indeed.. The portions would no doubt satisfy the hungriest of golfers. The restaurant overlooks the eighteenth green and the view is a sight to behold; in particular, when the sun is setting. The bar stocks local beers, a wide variety of popular lagers and wines to suit all tastes. You won't be disappointed.

After a round of golf you can't beat a great pint of local beer and the best meat-stacked delicious steak pie served with chips and peas . This place also does the best coronation chicken sandwich I've ever tasted .

Absolutely delicious meal. After the experience of the disappointment of the Saunton Sands Hotel the golf club was an absolute delight . The service was very friendlyand fantastic value for money

Had lovely selection of cakes - Bakewell tart was absolutely delicious. Friendly service and excellent value.

A group of us recently played golf for the prestigious Saunton Jug, we didn't win!! But we did get the chance to sample the excellent food. A really tasty prawn starter and really lovely locally sourced sausages, mash and peas for main course, topped off with a delicious banoffee pie dessert. golfing here for 3 days we enjoyed meals, snacks and light bites. All good, hot and well presented. The chips are light, dry and crisp - brilliant.If you want good hearty food this is well worth a visit. The golf course views are superb.

We had a lunch their last Saturday and all of us agreed that it was the best Golf Club lunch we've in ages. Terrific value, large portions and variety will specials changing daily. Top job.

Sunday lunch today was superb. Great food, great service, great ambiance, wonderful location, great value. Well done to the Chef and staff.Roast beef or pork, all the trimmings and brilliant sweets. What more could you want.

One Chef to carve for a group of 110 is not enough, especially with cold plates and they could have done a lot, lot better and running out of meat, quite a few of unhappy people that will not go again ,and very dis-organised, some people were having their coffee while others were just stating their main course , A very disappointing Christmas Lunch

Enjoyed a lovely lunch after golf match. Homemade fish cakes and lasagne and very good service. Lovely views across the golf course.

Went for Sunday lunch with family and was very impressed with the selection and quality of food on the carvery. Well cooked wholesome food.The golf club is in a beautiful setting and the restaurant seems to have been recently refurbished - it's a lovely place to eat.

Excellent quality golf club food, breakfast, lunch, and dinner all sampled, the bar however does close early and you are encouraged to drink elsewhere. Such a great pair of golf courses you will forgive them anything!

We went for the food with a friend who is a member. We were treated to views of the 18th hole and watched the golfers putting for all to see. The roast beef and lamb were superb and a delightful time was had by all.

We had the Fish and Chips and the Vegetable soup of the day. They both tasted excellent. The fish was cod and it was moist and tender. It was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of batter which was crispy. Traditional mashed green peas with deep fried fries.

a fine dinning experience outside of Central London!Three course meal and fine red wines on offer,pick from £36.00 for 3 courses /or go off piste from the grill menu [extra cost].I had the fillet beef steak.The views from this restaurant are unbelievable of the sea,dunes and the evening surfers!Service was good.Would return again in the summer months as they have an outside terrace.

The new club house is very well done,it befits a club of it,s standing, the selection of specials is very good as is the service,well done Saunton.

We are country members and just love the fabulous 2 courses.It's a fantastic test of golf. Not for beginners though

We went to a wedding reception at the golf club, it was fantastic the food was fab sower the staff, we could not have been looked after better.

Good food in clubhouse. Friendly staff. Good atmosphere. Changing rooms have all you would wish for before or after a game of golf

Facilities at golf club very good and friendly and the manager and professional very welcoming. Golf itself is brilliant

I have rated my experience here as excellent for a golf club restaurant. It has recently been extended with a terrace, and has lovely views over the 18th green on the East Course. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful on my two visits here. I ordered a Tuna baguette on my first visit, and a baguette with roast pork and stuffing on my second visit. Both were very tasty and had lots of filling. Just what was needed after a round of golf. It should be said that there was a very good menu for a range of meals, which I only ignored because I had a hotel dinner planned for the evening.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Food good value for money and plenty of choice. We were there after playing golf and had a hotel dinner to look forward to later so the wide choice of light meals was ideal for us. More substantial meals were also available.

A superb meal served by cheerful staff. The salmon cocktail at the start was delightful and soup was served hot and tasty. Also a fine choice of sweets. Also came back the next day and had a bar snack of prawn mayo bagget with salad that kept me going the whole drive home!

I had a great meal here, the portions are huge and there is always plenty of choice on the menu as well as the 'Specials Board'. The Chefs do everything possible to make your meal enjoyable and the bar and waiting staff are friendly and helpful. The view over the golf course is wonderful.
