We were in London on holiday and this restaurant saved our dinner twice. Really excellent pasta and pizza, pleasant environment and impeccable service, especially thanks to Angelo, a true Italian also abroad. If you go to London, really recommended.

An Italian pizzeria like many in London, strong in the fact that it has an infinite clientele and an unlimited passage of lobotomized people from the London Dream in front of its anonymous and insipid windows. Pizza (option available by the metre) is normal, even dogs have learned to make it by now. Courteous employee staff but management with questionable choices who treat Italians worse than other customers because they are too accustomed to eating in their homeland in places where it is the norm to offer a glass at the time of the meal (we are in London so even a miserable Peroni with sludge passes by on the cavalry at £8.95) account. Move on and pop into some pubs or eat local or at most Indian or Asian food. Getting robbed for a pizza that any runaway in Italy makes better and at 1/3 not even better.

Food was very tasty, especially the pizza 👌🏽. There just wasn't much atmosphere in the restaurant, the toilets and the hallway downstairs were dirty. It doesn't take much effort to check every half hour to see if it's still in good condition, you can see that it doesn't happen and that cleaning is not done regularly, which is a shame.

We celebrated my friend's birthday this evening, the food was very good, the attention of the staff was also good with one exception, the waitress named Rocio was quite rude to us at all times during our celebration, it was a unpleasant encounter she made it totally uncomfortable for us. From the moment we asked her to bring us the cake she almost throw it on the table even though we were kind and without a problem agreed to pay the £10 for bringing it, so she wasn't doing us any favors since we paid for a service that was included in our restaurant experience. Bad gestures and looks at every moment, not to mention that when she brought us the bill she threw it at us reluctantly and when it was time to pay she made gestures at us with an annoyed face. I think that if she doesn't enjoy her job she should change her profession now. That more than being a pleasant experience, it has been terrible because of her. Making my friend feel bad on her birthday and being that it was still early and there were clients upstairs, we felt like they were forcing us to leave. It's a shame because we had high expectations of the place. I'm not someone who likes to give bad reviews but this occasion deserves it.

Absolutely first class. No wonder it's always full

Firstly: Food was FANTASTIC. Now the not so great, after getting settled, wine delivered and opened, mid conversation they moved us to another table to accommodate another reservation?! We had a reservation as well, for 730pm. This was so they could push two four-top tables together. Guess what, that other reservation didn’t show until 9PM! Over an hour later. Again, food was spectacular, but moving a family in the middle of their meal, that’s super unprofessional in my book. It just kind of threw everything off you know? Management/owner if you see this - please don’t let your staff do this.

Ordered a starter (grill octopus), one pasta (seafood), two pizzas (ham and pork) and three bottles of beer for three pax. The food was delicious and their service was good. Waiter/waitress will change the plate after you finish your starters. The price is super reasonable where our total cost was 82 pounds which I personally find that it is worth it in London. There is additional seating in the basement so there isn't a concern of limited seats.

The pizza was absolutely delicious but I couldn't enjoy it. It was really loud and we were constantly being jostled by people in the basement because it was so narrow. I didn't feel well.

While visiting the Theater District and waiting for our matinee to start we decided on Sartori which is on a side street just off Charing Cross very close to the Leicester Underground. We had a fabulous 2 course lunch special with great service and a very pleasant atmosphere. I did notice a wood fired oven on the lower level if that is to your liking.

Among the multitude of Italian restaurants in London, Sartori, in addition to being in a very charming area (between Piccadilly and Leicestwr) offers a quality menu and pizza like you eat in many excellent Italian pizzerias. We booked on a Saturday evening at 9pm and only waited about ten minutes for the table to become free. Very courteous Italian waiters and super fast service. Compliments

We dined at Sartori on Saturday whilst staying near Leicester Square. The restaurant was incredibly busy, so I was pleased we booked a table, albeit we had to wait about 5 minutes before our table was ready. We were seated downstairs. There was a good atmosphere because it was so busy, with groups of families and friends. I got the impression that some people were regulars, too. The decor and furniture were basic, but the food was delicious! Genuniely homemade, beautifully seasoned, and great portions. We had a wonderful meal.

You can't get much in London for £17.50, but the Sartori offers a very good quality weekday two course lunch for that. Portions are not small, and the food quality was excellent. Vegetarian options are available too. The young lady who served us was excellent. Full of smiles, smart, and interested. The only small downside was that the place could do with a little decorating to improve the atmosphere, and there was repair tape on the steps down to the bathrooms (which could also do with freshening up). These are small points though, the food, service and value were excellent. It also was nice that the manager came out to say thank you as we left too! We would certainly visit again.

It was the best Italian restaurant I've encountered in the UK. The menu was all delicious and the server was friendly. However, the server forgot our order so it didn't go through properly. So we sat in silence while the other tables that arrived later than us ate. Other than that memory, the food was delicious and great.

Visited this restaurant based on menu price and past reviews. Booked table earlier the same day. Visited about 5pm and only 2 other tables in use when other restaurants were full so wondered if we made correct choice. Had starters and mains and both were excellent. Would have preferred more food on plate and certainly when being offered water, would like to have been offered tap water or been told price of bottle of water was £4.50!!! Got busier as night went on, great atmosphere, lovely food. Would visit again without doubt.

Left it very late to make a booking for a Saturday pre theatre dinner, however this restaurant had some availability. The service was friendly and efficient, the food quality excellent and felt is was very good value for money. Will be sure to return!

- Prosciutto Crudo e Burrata: Oh my... it's the most delicious thing I ate today. It's an appetizer made with just fresh and savory burrata cheese + arugula + prosciutto ham without any sauce, and it went so well together that I thought I'd try it next time. - Pasta Scialatielli con Gamberi Rosi, Zucchine, Vongole e Pomodorini: The clams + grated tomatoes + zucchini + shrimp had so much flavor that I really enjoyed it. It was a thick noodle, like udon, so I was disappointed that it would have been more delicious if it had been the size of linguine! It was really delicious!! It seems like a store that serves good food. - Margherita pizza: The dough was extremely thin and chewy, so I enjoyed it very much. I liked the sauce because it had a good taste of ground tomatoes and wasn't too salty. Just like in Italy, there were many people who made one pizza per person! - Rib-eye steak: I ordered it medium rare, but it came out well done. The meat itself was flavorful and delicious.

Have been many times to Sartori's - but this time was a little disappointed. I was served by an older gentleman - I ordered a glass of Sangiovese, but was brought a glass of white wine. When I gave my order of chicken breast with the bacon and mushroom sauce I attempted to ask him whether I needed a vegetable he said it came with potatoes and attempted to pull the menu away from me - so I pulled it back - never had to do that before in a restaurant ! He said I could have vegetables if I wanted, but I was actually asking his opinion. We agreed on a small portion - although I was charged for a regular size - and when they arrived were completely tasteless. The potatoes were dark not crispy and looked pre-cooked and just heated through - so not enjoyable. The tiramisu was good. Maybe I should stick to a pizza or pasta dish if I go again

Traditional Italian restaurant, in the center of London, good food, nothing out of this world, quite affordable price.

The best pizza I've ever had. We ordered two pizzas, capricciosa and diavola, the taste transported us directly to Italy. The service was fast, we sat in the basement right next to the pizza oven. 👏🏻🍕

We had a really good lunch here, a diavola pizza and an onion & tomato salad. The pie was very tasty and the salad was very good too. They have a good wine list with a couple of our faves, Falanghina and Greco de Tufo. The service was very friendly as well. Go!

We first came earlier in summer and it was amazing - the guy who served us was so bubbly and friendly 😊 We came today for a second time and we were SO disappointed. The food was good but a few members of staff were quite rude. There was a lady with purple nails, very abrupt and not friendly at all. When taking our order, she wasn’t friendly or approachable. We had to ask twice for water because no one could do their job. The older man in the restaurant made our evening so fun but the rest of them were quite unfriendly and miserable which was really disappointing. The restaurant wasn’t so busy either The food really is amazing, just maybe retrain your staff as we were quite upset. We did tell the lady with purple nails we are not paying service charge and told her why - she stayed silent and didn’t attempt to apologise which ruined our evening out

Just had a wonderful pre-theatre meal. I came into the restaurant very early, I was in fact the only person in here. Always a risk going into an empty restaurant. As I'm about to leave, the restaurant is completely full... And I'm not surprised in the slightest! Wonderful food, amazing staff, great atmosphere. The soup of the day, vegetable was creamy, tasty and seasoned magnificently. The pizza was light, tasty and the ingredients spoke for themselves. The tiramisu, well that was beautiful! The entire team there too were so personable, friendly, professional and attentive. Real gems! Highly recommend!

Absolutely huge portions of very tender feel pounded fairly thin and lightly breaded. Note that it is served without any sauce however you can ask for it if you need it. The spaghetti was flavorful and did have a good amount of red sauce on it. Nice selection of red wines perfectly complement your dinner. The server was fast friendly and efficient. Overall great value for the money!

We love this place and have been here about 6 times over the years for dinner and lunch. This time though it was disappointing whereas we had never had an issue before. Food was generally good but the starter portions had reduced, the chips used to be hand made but are now frozen ones and my daughter’s dish was very well done and she couldn’t finish it as it wasn’t great. It was so noisy in there that you couldn’t hear the people sat on your own table and everyone was shouting to try and be heard which just made it even louder and it actually made my ears hurt for the first half an hour until they adjusted. Also there was an older gentlemen working in there who may be the opener but we had never seen him before and he was diving around serving the food and waving his hands at you to hurry if you were in his way and tasing his voice to the waiters and it just made for a very unsettled and negative vibe and not relaxing at all. Our waitress was very nice but you just felt like you were just customers and the quicker you were served food and on your way the better so that they could get someone else in your seat. And when spending £200 on a meal you don’t want that.

I was in London and tired of English food, I went to Sartori for a plate of pasta....I went there for all the meals left during my stay, the food is truly Italian, the dishes are plentiful, the staff are friendly and the prices are reasonable. line to the big city definitely worth a try

Sartori really looked after us. We were a booking of 27 and they got all the food right, the orders were out on time and the service was great. The staff were so friendly and organised and we had an amazing time. Thank you so much - we will be back!

It was, by far, the worst Italian restaurant experience I have ever had! I ordered the sea bass with high expectations the taste was bland. To make matters worse, there were many bones in fish, rendering it practically inedible. I understand that some bones can be expected, but this was beyond tolerable. When I shared my feedback with the waiter, their response was far from pleasant, accommodating and professionalism. I had hoped for a nice dining experience, but I will never come again to this restaurant!

I’d like to remind Sartori Management that if you provide Moretti draft beer by the Pint, you also have an obligation to offer 1/2 Pint size as well. (and no I didn’t want buy a bottle of something else as offered!😊) I use the word OBLIGATION as this is part of your Drinks Licence (Licensing Act 2003)! Refusing doing so, it’s not only unethical but it could endanger your licence. Same as you are meant to serve Single Spirit 25ml and small wine glasses 125ml Ultimately a successful place like yours should not have this issue brought to the customers attention. Furthermore, breaking the Licence rules puts your staff and the customers in a embarrassing situation.. Many thanks 🙏

Excellent Italian food. The lasagna we ordered was delicious and well done. The Margherita pizza tasted very delicious. The appetizer was the eggplant rolls, which felt very ordinary and had no flavor.

We loved whatever we ordered here, absolutely delicious! We had Octopus as a starter, it was cold but very tender octopus with rich flavours. Then we ordered Napoli pasta with clams and mushrooms, and veil in breadcrumbs with pasta- both delicious! The portions were generous, we were full but still wanted to share a desert. I do not remember the Italian names but we went with lemon cake with lemon custard- we regretted ordering just one portion! We will absolutely go back again!

Great little Covent Garden Italian restaurant. You will swear grandma is in the back cooking. Only drawback is it has a TV and the crowd can be a little noisy during a match.
