Went here for a meal recently. Unfortunately couldn't get the meal I wanted since they ran out of falafel and veggie sausages, but understandable since they were just about to close. Although the shop isn't that aesthetically pleasing, the range of food is really good. Service is quite quick, the staff are pleasant (albeit a little quiet) and serve well. The food itself tastes quite good, but is quite simple. Plenty of seating outside is really nice! If you're looking for a simple, no-nonsense meal for an affordable price, then Sarni's is a nice place to eat!

Called in on a warm Sunday afternoon (but not too busy), quick service and no problems with the food order. Went to sit outside to drink our tea, food came and even though we'd both ordered paninis, they were cold in the middle. Sent them back, when they were returned they were piping hot.

We stopped here one Friday lunchtime and had very good food. We had a smoked salmon and cream cheese French stick and a toasted panini with brie, ham, peppers and roasted tomatoes. Both sandwiches/panini were flavoursome and with lots of filling, great cup of tea too. Nice location, we took our lunch a few metres away and sat overlooking the Thames. Went back the next day for another toasted panini which was equally good. Pleasant service and quick too.

Great for a cuppa tea on the go. Food poor quality, tasteless. Paying for the location / high rents and not quality of food served.

We came here on a Saturday afternoon hoping for a nice focaccia sandwich (£4.90) as the description looked promising, but unfortunately we received a cold, tasteless poor excuse of a sandwich. Not worth the money.

Lots of Med/Middle Eastern style Salads, Paninis, Baguettes, Baked Potatoes, delish fayre and inexpensive, downside have to eat outside, and that whole area (Gabriels Wharf needs Patio Heaters (Yes all of the food establishments could afford it, they make enough money), even in Barcelona (that's in Spain folks), they have Patio Heaters for the outside establishments...get with it London, it's not just for posh places, it was blinkin freezing, even in late April!!

What a shame , a great little bar tucked away by Waterloo station . I’ve been coming here for years , but the service has absolutely nosedived. It’s service with a grudge. I stood in the little bar at the front waiting to be served, the male server was clearly unhappy I didn’t walk into the other room to be served , it was 2.55 on a Saturday and he was unhappy as he has to close down the bar for 5.00pm - welcome to the hole in the wall. If you don’t serve in that bar - put a sign up. Lots of people walked in , waited and left. He had time to retire to the kitchen to chat and play on his phone. Really sad to write a review like this because it should be a welcoming and hidden gem

Have been a regular at the tankard for years as an IWM employee. Awful experience this evening, having booked a space for 20 weeks ago (and confirmed) to be told on arrival we had just a small table. The area we were shoved out of then occupied by dinner guests who caused a huge fuss by us being ‘in the way’ and upset several of our party. Manager (?) couldn’t care less and referred me to ‘bookings office in Scotland’! Dreadful treatment for long time paying patrons. Will be taking our business elsewhere.
