Saracens Head in Solihull

Came in on the 1st of June for some drinks and a meal with friends. Great selection and vegetarian alternatives for food. Great service from staff. Big thank you to tyreece who bought our food out and drinks to our table. He's always smiling and made the day out so much better

Lovely food, plenty of options including the drink options. Mitchell was very friendly and so helpful bringing food out. Curtis and Alish behind the were very friendly, smiling and gave great service

I’ve been staying at this venue for a number of years and can truly say the staff work hard. The puppies clean food is value for money. Hotel connected is also very good will continue to use these facilities. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Great pub with a friendly vibe and happy bar staff - especially Eleanor who was really helpful even when it was incredibly busy. Super friendly, quick with a pint and really care about the customer.

I've updated my previous feedback so photos are not from today... We came here tonight for the mother in law's birthday... Each member of staff we interacted with was friendly, helpful and above all did a great job. The staff on the till were patient and Helpful as I navigated the meals, drinks, desserts and vouchers. Food came out quickly and was exactly what we ordered even though there were many little add-ons and options. I usually get names but on this occasion all the staff on shift are included in this complimentary feedback. Great job from the whole team here tonight... Don't forget to validate your parking on the machine !! (D) 👍

Came in on Sunday and was greeted by Connor and Adam who were very welcoming and attentive! They make a wonderful team behind the bar.

Had a fantastic time here when we came for my dad's 70th birthday celebration- adam went above and beyond for us nothing too much trouble for him - my dad has not been out for months and had a fantastic time adsm made this whole experience even more special ... would recommend for everyone..thank you again adam

Great British pubs are few and far between in 2025. I have to say this is the nicest boozer I've ever been in. Well kept, good scran and a decent atmosphere, something most modern pubs are lacking.

We called to reserve a table in the morning, but after waiting for half an hour, there was still no table for us. When we asked the restaurant manager, his attitude was arrogant and rude. I asked him why we had to reserve a table, and if there was no table when we make a booking , he actually tell us “you can leave it “. We never go there again for this poor service. Unfortunately, the boss employ this poor manager employees

Had a darts match there, great night had by all.

Dined here 3 times while staying for the week in the adjacent hotel. Food was hot and delicious every time, all the staff friendly and accommodating. Entertainment was fantastic 👌🏻

Lovely place very clean & tidy They have a disabled toilet tucked away like the others in a passage behind fruit machines again spotless but not sure about the wall immediately inside Food was good , but could be a tiny bit warmer , but enjoyable & well cooked

Great pub, terrible food. Worst than Wetherspoon's and twice the price. Great sports bar, but no real ale, no real food, just reheated rubber chicken, hard rice. The chips were the only nice thing.

Much improved. Not been for some time as we moved away from the area but we do pop in from time to time. The Saracens Head had really gone down hill but the recent visit changed my opinion. There has been some much needed investment and it's paid off. Food was nice - main meals came out very quickly so not sure how much of it was prepared and cooked 'fresh' but it tasted nice and very good value for money. The pub and restaurant is well presented. There are lots of large TV screens around the venue so if you're into sport, it's a great location.

Dreadfull staff -service - no idea who is next in que - dont go on a sSunday unless you want food on monday - and dont sit outside as the locals will be offering you food at the right price - fire sticks - horrible

I often grab a beer here and after a bad meal around 5months ago have chose not to eat, tonight decided to have a chicken burger and some salt and pepper mushrooms. All warm and tasty, happy man. Goes without saying, but i will, staff are great, polite and helpful. Thanks team.

Really nice pub lovely bar staff too

Very busy in there but we had pre booked a table so it was fine. The boxing was on with plenty of screens to be able to watch it. Felt safe with door staff on. Bar staff were friendly. Steak sizzler was cooked perfectly, very tasty, good value for money.

Ordered food at the bar walked back to my table and food was being brought out. Chips were stone cold and lasagna was burnt and full of grease nobody came to our table to see if our food was OK for 45 minutes even though it could be seen we hadn't touched our plates. Finally found a waitress and asked.for manager we showed her our plates and discussed our issue we paid by card and was given a refund in cash so how will kitchen staff know that the food isn't edible we will never return to this establishment again and will warn others the same very disappointing.

Omg! Where do I start! Amazing went in for dinner last night after work, had the boss burger and family had some other meals which looked amazing I couldn’t even stomach a desert sadly! The staff are amazing as well as being very helpful the place has a lovely atmosphere and it has had a fresh makeover will definitely be going back!

this place has just opened today They should’ve kept it closed. We were sat waiting at a table for 10 minutes not being able to place an order through the app as it came up unknown error so we sat there after being placed by a lady by underneath the TV screen so we were surrounded by lads screaming at the telly which is not what you want when you go to have a meal with your child so we sat there and waited, and in the end we got up and left we wouldn’t go back. We can’t get a decision on the food because we didn’t even get chance to place an order We did try to get the woman’s attention more than once to try and get her to move us from the seat But we unfortunately couldn’t, I wouldn’t say this was a family orientated pub by any means.

So wished we had used the Saracens head tonight instead of that disgusting place The Plume of feathers, never before and never again.😭🤬🤬🤬

Wanted a mixed grill and was told they didn't have the normal steak, and it was an extra £4 if I wanted steak with it, lol I opted fir the beef rib instead which was served with small portion of rice the rib was good but definitely need to sort out what it's served with. Absolutely loved the fish and chips at Saracens Head! The fish was well-cooked, and the chips were nicely crispy. Great value for money and a satisfying, classic meal. Highly recommend!

Went for evening meal wasn't too busy so got table easy enough, main meal arrived in about 15 - 20 mins but dessert took over 35 minutes so not great. Food was nice and staff friendly, but pudding took too long as I was a solo diner just wanted to eat and go.

Nice place to eat, daily offers on main meals, great choice of food. The only thing there was a couple of annoying flies around.

Can't comment on the dining experience as we arrived on a Saturday evening and was greeted by security and there was live music, which was decent and a great atmosphere, rapid service and friendly staff.

The Saracens Head is a fantastic place to get some food and drink. It has a wide variety of meals for adults and children and for people of varying dietary requirements. It's a child friendly place too, and the staff are accommodating to parents, and they help make sure that there are high chairs for young toddlers. The food is always tasty, comes in generous portions, and the staff are always very friendly and professional, creating a lively and welcoming pub atmosphere. I highly recommend visiting and grabbing some food and drink from the Saracens Head Pub!

We came there as a works gathering. I personally have never been there before. The food was fantastic the fish was the best I’ve ever eaten. The staff were really lovely and the atmosphere was great. Would highly recommend a visit and the food.

Didn't eat this time around. Good atmosphere here.Disco was on from 9 pm and football on a selection of screens if you wanted to watch. Nothing was to loud.Food was available too. Beer was good also. A decent night out all round

Had a great night watching a Gary Glitter tribute act, sadly my mates wife had her face slashed in the car park by the lead singer. Other than that it was a good night, definitely recommend.

Was out in Shirley cracking through all the charity shops. Swung into the sazzers. I was off put as I wasn't sure which way the pub was pointing (seen loads of people walking through different doors and facing different ways). Ordered my self a simple boiled egg, toast and a cordial. 2 minutes later I was tucking into my boiler. Toast was incredible but possibly the dryest egg I have ever eaten, I had to order 2 more cordials for lubricant. Good pub, good toast and good range of cordials. Can I suggest arrows and signs so I know which way the pub is. Thanks

Visited yesterday for food, tasted amazing! Great pint of Peroni with the meal, great atmosphere, I believe I was served by an Amber and a Ryan, will definitely be returning, I felt at ease and relaxed in this bar. 💕
