Disingenious to say this has anything to do with the airport, its a 40 minute walk. No mobile coverage, slow wifi, no reception desk and a £13 parking fee.

3 stars for service/location as there was next to nothing in regards to phone reception (O2). Had to leave my room and go outside of the hotel to be able to make a call and be heard! Not great when travelling for work. WiFi issues also with the automatic prompt not coming up to be able to input code to login and nowhere with help information specific to the issue. Good value though, and close to the NEC.

Stopped for a weekend to go for a gig at the BP pulse arena, it was an excellent stay, comfy beds, clean room, 20 minute walk from the arena, all the staff were lovely and very helpful, the bar/restaurant was excellent for dinner and breakfast, definitely coming again

Nice big premier inn with newly refurbished restaurant area very near NEC Room was ok probably needing maintenance as my youngest said dad whats that smell as we walked in . The ceiling looked a bit damp around the air con unit. We asked to get moved but hotel was fully booked si the manager gave us complimentary parking as a good will gesture (NORMALLY £13 A NIGHT 😮)we also found out trying to book a meal at night In the restaurant tricky as when hotels full there not enough capacity to feed everyone on site so we ate in hotel 1 night out off 3 as it was fully booked the other nights so it was" just eat"" deliveroo" in the room unless we taxied to the restaurant 10 mins away. Otherwise most staff were friendly and would probably book again

Rooms are nice enough but not serviced daily, and my second night I was kept awake for hours by people in the room(s) above me walking backwards and forwards along the extremely creaky floor/ceiling. Not sure why NEC is in the name when it’s actually a half hour walk from it. And don’t expect to be able to eat here even if you’re paying to stay, they will continually tell you they have no bookings even when you can see several open tables.

Premier Inn room was great, however, the service was not up to standard even with the lack of staff. While I forgive the hour-and-a-half wait for food on night one. The food quality didn’t reflect the wait as it felt like it was cooked in two minutes not half an hour such was the wait between courses. Night two without pre-warning by the staff or being asked when I booked night one. I arrived to be told they were fully booked even though I pre-paid and had a room. I was refunded only £16 and told to find other places to eat. Most hotels and restaurants nearby were fully booked. So I was left without any options as also I struggled with ordering takeaways due to my OCD. As an autistic solo traveller, this has to be the worst experience I’ve had with a hotel firm that I trust to always look after me and guarantee a good stay. It ruined my first trip to Autosport International and put a sour note on a trip I had booked for nearly a year.

We booked to stay here for a concert which was sadly cancelled. But went ahead with our stay. And decided to check out the Christmas markets instead. A quick taxi ride to the station and a 10 minute train journey. Simple. Check in was simple, the room was spotless and we had a great nights sleep. Fast forward to this morning we went to get breakfast at the all you can eat buffet, which we paid an extra £10.99 for (bargain if you ask me). On arrival we were greeted by a member of staff who was lovely. She passed us to Denise as my partner has a peanut allergy. Denise was amazing, she followed the correct protocol and grabbed an allergens book straight away for him and explained the process. Sat us at a table and gave him some time to read through whilst she spoke to the chef. She came back and told us due to the allergy, we was going to get the breakfast cooked fresh and straight from the kitchen to the table. So my partner ordered and got told the food would be a short wait. So whilst this was being cooked I went and got my own food and had a look at the HUGE selection of different food and items. Wow! By the time I was back, his meal was followed within a few minutes. All the food was fresh, tasty and hot! And Denise was a wonderful help the whole time. She told us how long she’s been working here, and in the space of 6 weeks. I’d say she’s become an amazing member of your team. Her knowledge was excellent as well as her service and . I’d be proud to have her on my team, I hope the team at premier inn Birmingham NEC/ airport are too! Id definitely stay here again. The only thing to be mindful of is parking, which is £13 for 24 hours. Which is a good deal if you choose to wander over to resorts world after your stay. But maybe not so great if you’re arriving late and leaving early.

The hotel is undergoing renovation so no restaurant, we were aware of this because Premier Inn emailed us. But as there is zero provision nearby for food another Hotel this time would have been better. However it is handy for Birmingham airport and you can pre. Ooo long term parking at the Hotel with Horizon.

The usual Premier Inn set up so no surprises; however, the hotel and rooms could do with a refurb. Thought the parking was pricey at £13 for 24 hours but I suppose this is due to the close proximity to the NEC and Birmingham airport.

I am so impressed by this Premier Inn. 1. So close to the NEC that we could leave our car there and walk to the venue 2. Super comfy beds and quiet rooms 3. Great breakfast 4. Absolutely great staff. The reception team were friendly and SO helpful when we had left an item behind. I didn’t have to chase them, they chased me, and made it all very simple.

The hotel is very good. But, it is far from the NEC. It's a 25 minute walk. The area is very beautiful but it is a long walk. Shuttles do not usually work in that area (North) so you will have to either walk to the nearest parking with a shuttle (10 min minimum) or Uber for £8. The room is spacious and the bed is very comfortable. The complete and rich breakfast is worth having.

Not worth the proximity to NEC: * Not easy to walk to (you can but you are directed to get a taxi) * Nothing near by to compete with the truly horrific food (really don't eat here) in their restaurant * Rooms are what you expect from a premier Inn, nothing special

I’m afraid I will never understand the early check-in £10 when the room is clearly ready. I think it’s just a rip-off. It’s a terrible practice that has to stop. . And I’m not 100% sure what the strategy is where your reception staff direct you to another rival hotel for food because there’s none available at the hotel location . How does that one work then?

Not docking any stars because our one night stay was perfect for our visit to the Arena. Rooms clean, staff all polite and helpful. Sadly the auto check-in desks were out of order so the check in queue went out to the carpark and the bar closed before we got back from the concert. So don't arrive at a popular time and have a drink on the way back to the hotel if you want one.

The staff is professional and kind. The position is not the best if you want to visit the exhibition center, because sometimes the road that leads directly to NEC is closed by a gate (?) and with a taxi you have to take the long way around. Also there is no proper path to reach NEC by foot; you have to walk around parking lots and on the border of the road. The food is ok at dinner. I didn't have the chance to have breakfast. This hotel is quite old and not very well kept. It doesn't give any "premium vibes". In the bar area there is also a slot machine, which makes the atmosphere quite trashy. The standard rooms are a bit disappointing and do not feel very homey. Also, there is no hard floor in the bedroom. The premium rooms should be much better, but they were sold out while I stayed in this hotel. The floor rumbles every time someone walks in the corridor or in the room above, so it's not the quietest place.

We regularly use the Derby one, however we was going to Cadbury world, so wanted to stay closer to there. This one is definitely geared towards being a busy hotel. The staff were friendly and fantastic, lots and lots of room. The breakfast was fantastic, plenty of staff, numerouse coffee machine points, black pudding and scrambled egg was.cooked to order. But did taste so much better

Love this place, should have a michelin star. Nice little canope's before your starter and desert which you don't expect as it doesn't say on the menu. Staff are very friendly, nice atmosphere and the food is incredible for the price. Shame this place doesn't get busy, maybe it is because of the location and being a hotel, this place should be thriving

Service was painfully slow. Was asked how I would like the stake cooked for the steak ciabatta I asked for medium rare it was well and truly DONE. After waiting 45 minutes for the food to arrive when there was no more than 10 customers in the establishment I was expecting better, it seems they were cooking the steak for majority of the time. I also ordered the half roast chicken which was dry and bland. Whilst inspecting the leather like materiel in the sandwich a hair was discovered on the sandwich. When my partner notified a member of staff she replied ‘I will feed it back to the kitchen’ my partner asked for the manager. Eventually the manager arrived who was polite on approach and offered to refund for the sandwich which seemed a bare minimum I was just happy she didn’t offer a voucher as I would never be going back. Eventually, after another period of waiting around I went to the bar and she proceeded to process the refund and said it would go straight back into the account. After getting home later on the evening I realised that the refund hadn’t even been processed. On top of all of this the white/ transparent hair which we were so curious about appeared on the head of a member of staff that didn’t not even work in the kitchen. If in resorts world and fancy a steak sandwich I’d recommend sticking to miller and carter or Nandos for a half chicken. However if you want something different this is your place, I’ve not been to many places with food like this.
