I ate here for the first time recently and the food was really nice, however a bit rich for my personal liking. The staff were friendly. It’s a same they don’t sell alcohol, (however you can bring your own).

Excellent quality local indian food - reasonably priced - bring your own alcohol. Some staff are very welcoming. Could improve on decor (uninspiring) and air circulation system (poor). All in all a good address.

Really good Indian best we’ve found in the area. Basic restaurant but food is top notch and byo booze with no corkage charge off licence next door.

First time to visit since the lockdown days .........An absolute pleasure and delight, it's now a BYO so I was a bit dubious however WOW, great service, incredible flavoured food, Chef (Salli ..... excuse spelling) amazingly informative ........ highly recommend.

Pleasant enough for a couple. Food pretty much as expected. But totally lacking in any sort of atmosphere : decor very beige, bland and dull, 2 staff: one pleasant and approachable, one much less communicative. No alcohol but bring your own at no charge. OK I suppose!

A very frustrating experience as a take away. The food, when it came, was good. Prawns and chicken were nice. Not the most tender lamb I've ever had, but decent. The issue was with the delivery and how the restaurant dealt with it. The site I ordered through stated it would be delivered between 10 and 30 mins. 1 hour later I called the restaurant directly, and they said they were busy, and would get it to me in 20 mins. 20 mins later I called. 10 more mins. It eventually came over an hour and a half late. This was a substantial £60 order. My wife and child had gone to bed by this point. It was wasted. And in compensation they provided a small bottle of cola. This is a very local business. We want to support local. But the lack of apology through any form of compensation or appreciation of the scenario is frustrating, and the waste to the food and my wallet unacceptable

This was the first delivery we had as we had a leaflet during the week. We have visited your restaurant many years ago. This delivery was great within the time you said when I ordered. My family and I visited this restaurant to have celebratory meal. The staff were attentive, respectful and extremely lovely. The food was amazing, really flavourful. We had the most amazing time, will be visiting more often!!

Went here with my family and my partners family: honestly the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Waited two hours for our meal. Rude staff. Got our orders wrong when they finally did arrive. A waiter handed my mother a boiling hot plate- resulting in her hand being burnt. Many others there that night were complaining too.

Had a great evening at Saqui , the food was delicious and the service was fantastic . The Tandoori Mix Grill was brilliant , and the Chicken Jalfrezi superb , really enjoyed it ,

Used to be the best food around! its now under new management as of December 2021 and the food is now very average! more like a lot of other curry restaurants in the area, food tonight was bland oily smaller portions and not a patch on the old Saqui we used to love for over 30year! please being back the old food quality!

I am a HUGE curry lover! I have tried the mildest to the hottest and been in so many restaurants and had so many takeaways over the years. There is a curry house in Billingshurst and Durham City Centre that I rate very highly. Saqui in Carshalton Beeches is now up there in terms of food quality. I can not comment on dining at the restaurant as I discovered these guys during the pandemic for takeaways only. Hopefully I will get the chance very soon to visit them. I have tested several different curries there now and tonight I thought I would see if they could make something slightly different not on the menu. Instead of a standard chicken vindaloo, I asked if they could make me a chicken tikka vindaloo with a chilli naan bread. My wife shared a mild prawn biriany with her mum. Both curries were absolutely delicious! The vindaloo (if you can handle the heat) was so so good. Beautiful tender lumps of chicken tikka in a fiery dark sauce with potatoes. All of this mopped up with a gorgeous chilli naan. I tried the ladies prawn biriany and again the flavours were awesome. So many times I've been put off of prawn curry when you get chewy prawns. These were cooked to perfection and served in lovely rice with small lumps of cauliflower and accompanied with a vegetable curry sauce. Memories of their speciality jalfrezi will tempt me back to re-ordering that dish again very soon. Up to now I really can not find anything negative to say about Saqui. Very polite staff members taking phone orders to the same courtesy extended to their fast delivery service. Nothing was too much trouble. I honestly can't wait to visit their restaurant to thank them all in person for making me a very happy man throughout the pandemic. Their food is amazing and highly highly recommended! Easy 5 stars 🌟

3 times asked for delivery no further than 2 miles away and the 4th its apparently too far. Shame they cannot be relied upon for their customer service

We have been eating in this restaurant for about 30 years and the food is always good and reasonably priced. Sometimes we have a take away which is also good. The service is excellent, so a big thank you to Mr Islam and his staff!

Above average Indian restaurant, mostly positive about this curry house the Bombay aloo excellent best I’ve tasted all the veggie dishes well above average the sauces on the dishes very very good The chicken in the dishes cut a little small but adequate, this is a common habit of most Indian restaurants they’ve started cutting corners trying to gain eg smaller naan breads not serving draught beer but serving bottles to gain more profit etc and so on , All in all this is an excellent curry house you won’t come away disappointed very tasty dishes indeed

I have just visited Saqui Indian restaurant and I can honestly say I had one of the best meals I’ve had for a while. The surroundings are nice, not over the top. The restaurant has air conditioning although it wasn’t on during my visit. The table service is much as you would expect, polite and friendly, the portion sizes were good and arrived in good time. I would recommend a visit here even though it was only my first visit, it will not be my last. Well done to all the staff working there this evening.

We have used Saqui on two occasions recently for a delivered takeaway. On both occasions the service has been excellent, quick and the food well packed as well as being hot. The chicken passanda and the mushroom bhajis are delicious and the rice is soft and tasty. Really recommend the prawn purees. When the weather is better will visit the restaurant but in the meantime am more than happy with the home delivery service. Definitely recommend.

Lovely food attentive staff without being over whelmed. This place does great take away as well. The tables are not too close and the music is just right and not too loud.

Go to this place every month always had a great meal and many free drinks from owner. Staff are now well known to me and my friends and family and are always cheery.

We go every now and then for a curry and always choose to go to Saqui. We have been going for many years now and always receive a lovely welcome. Food always good.

We thought we'd found a curry restaurant to match our old favourite that had recently closed down. After an initial really good meal we've had 2 family meals that were a real let down. Food not as good as our first meal and we waited an absolute age for it to arrive. We thought it maybe a one off blip but went again a few weeks later and had exactly the same experience. Great pity, not sure we'll return.

My wife and I have eatten takeaways from here for the last 3 years or so. The food is always excellent, hot and is alway all what we had ordered. My wife is a vegetarian and the staff always go out of their way to offer her a good choice of dishes all be it she normal will have a Mushroom Bhaji as her main course,but whatever you want they will help you order. Well done all the staff!

En ningún otro lugar parecía estar en cualquier lugar cerca de tan buena, pero nuestra experiencia en Saqui-saqui era realmente bueno. El interior es extremadamente anticuado, pero el personal es muy amable y servicial y la comida era muy buena, que es el poco más importantes. Nos encontramos la lista de vinos era bastante caro para un restaurante si tipo pero sin duda intentaremos de nuevo.

We have been visiting this restaurant for over 25 years and the food is consistently excellent, decor could do with a revamp but the food is the most important thing !

Me and the family had a great experience here. Food was served piping hot and I could tell it was made with fantastic quality ingredients, the dishes tasted great! Also very reasonably priced. Highly recommend

El director también era de lo más servicial cuando me llamó adelante preguntando a realizar flores para mi novia. A friend and I tried here on a whim. The ambience and welcome were okay. Popadoms wer fine and I liked the unusual tomato chutney. The king prawn piri was a puri with a miniscule topping of prawn. If they were king prawns they were chopped up. There was too little to be sure. I had chicken tolls dhansak and we shared a mushroom rice, naan and sag bhajee. The sides were all good. However, the dhansak was disappointing and like the king prawn left me wondering if I'd got the wrong dish. Strangely dark in colour and a marked absence of lentils. Plus again a smaller than usual portion. I quite liked the portion size, especially the chicken dish, but not the prices for them. First impressions count. I would happily accompany someone wanting to eat there but it wouldn't be my first choice out of there, the saregama or sakura, both of which are in easy distance

Good old fashioned curry restaurant with great service and very reasonable prices especially Sunday through Thursday with the set menu. Clean and tidy and very good food.

We had a delivery from saqui- big portions and excellent food- our first time and we will be back -very impressed !!! Can't wait for the next one !

I am a regular visitor here for both take a ways and eat in. Food is no fuss, good quality, reasonably priced, served by polite and efficient waiters. Popular with seasoned regulars; both couples and groups of friends.

Waiter was rude and trying to clear our plates while still eating, I can understand if its busy but it was a Sunday evening and only one other table!Popadoms were stale and definitely not fresh. The chapati was also the same and definitely not fresh. Soft drinks were both flat. Won't waste my money here again!

This is a secret gem of carshalton beeches! The food is quite frankly the best Indian we have ever had and we certainly won't be going elsewhere.The customer service is exceptional with staff that know your name and you're always made to feel welcome!Lovely in every way!

I believe this is the best Indian restaurant in this area. The food has flavour and is served on hot plates. Unfortunately, they are no longer allowed to have the hot metal trays on the tables on which to keep the food hot due to 'health and safety'. The service is generally speedy, but I feel they remove the plates from the table too quickly. Sometimes we are still chewing our last mouthful when the waiter asks if we have finished. Also, the wine is rather pricey.The waiters are politely friendly, although one or two find it hard to smile. On the whole-good food, good service, worth a visit!

Have not been for a while, new waiting staff, apart for the miserable man that sits in the corner and ignores his customers!! The rest of the staff are very pleasant and the food was good. Can not believe that a bottle of house wine costs £15.95!!! Why ? This is a very basic curry house.

Our favourite Indian around - always a warm welcome, food is great and service second to none - no waiting around for a long time being served more and more drinks as we have experienced in other local Indian restaurants. The Saqui is enjoyed by the whole family and highly recommended.

Don't be fooled by the appearance - this place does need a bit of modernising but that doesn't detract from the experience. Four of us all agreed our mains were well flavoured and a good level and quality of meat. Jalfrezi had marinated chicken that was beautifully moist and clean white meat - enough heat in the sauce not to be over powering. Poppadums to start, four mains three rice, two sides a naan and four drinks (big beers) £69 without service - good value for a quality meal. Will def go back

You don't go here for the atmosphere but for the food, which is the best curry in the area. The staff are friendly and helpful too. Recommended.

Very good, saqui is where i go for my curry, staff are great. Good atmosphere as normally busy but not overcrowded. Love their curries! Overall great!!

Our local Indian Restaurant which Is class above anything else locally. Favourites are chicken jalfrezi and Tandori chicken. Friendly atmosphere and good service.
