Sangam - Didsbury in Manchester

Vibrant decor. Great friendly service. Lamb cutlets were on the set side but great flavour. Lamb Jalali was tender and tasty. Yum

First class venue and service! Probably one of the best curry houses I've ever experienced. Highly reccomended!

We were searching for Indian food options after 9 pm and we were lucky to find this place just 10 -15 minutes away from Trafford centre. The food is really good. They provide typical Indian food . Their price Range is also not too high. It's pretty much decent. Plus the quantity is also amazing. We ordered lamb biriyani, naan and butter chicken. It was really good and for starters we had panner and spicy papad. The ambience is also really beautiful. It's a must visit if you are somewhere near Trafford centre or Didsbury. The staff is also really nice. We were so happy to have met Shahin one of their main staff. He was really nice. We got to have a great conversation with him as well. Definitely a must check out place.

I hate to leave poor reviews and would rather not comment than do so. On this occasion I feel extremely dissatisfied due to me and my partner suffering from food poisoning after eating their food. Friday the 16th of February we were looking forward to eating in and having a nice relaxing meal, the meal was delivered on time with no issues! We found our food pretty below average and decided to stick it in the bin and just thought we would not order from here again. During the night me and my partner fell ill, we were both extremely sick and had bad stomach cramps, I was in bed for 2 days and my wife was still sick on Monday, the rest of our family were fine as they did not eat anything from Sangam. The last time I personally suffered from food poisoning was over 20 years ago and I pray that I never get it ever again. The reason I put the dates was to make others aware incase they also suffered the same weekend from he'll as we did. I will never be ordering from here again, and we have also made a report to the local environmental health.

Not as good as previous visits.our food was just spicy with no flavour and wasnt received well when we complained .will not go again apparently the new chef is to blame. But the waiter didn't seem to care. He offered us free coffee

Always a decent curry and usually the cavernous place is full enough. I particularly like the fact that you can bring your own wine… which is a massive benefit - basically a £10 bottle of wine that would cost £40 off the menu, a reasonable £5 corkage fee - and the fact that the semi-reasonable 10% ‘optional’ service charge does not include the price of wine or beer. Well done.

Great time at Sangam! Our party were stuck in traffic and the staff were very accommodating and moved our reservation back half an hour. The food was excellent and service was equally as good! Would highly recommend!

Service a bit slow this time but the chicken Tikka, bhuna and jalali were delicious.

Re-rated from a five to a zero - sadly. Severe food poisoning. Visited at the weekend and alerted staff to my allergen (gluten) and informed I'm also a vegetarian. Kindly offered the butter chicken as butter paneer instead. Off to a good start. They STILL sent butter chicken out for me. I can let this slide (they swapped it and I hadn't eaten any, obviously!). Mistakes happen. Sadly, I have been food poisoned and/or glutened by the Sangam. This started Sunday am (diarrhoea) and I'm still suffering with my bowels. My friend, who isn't coeliac and eat different dishes, also had diarrhoea on Sunday. What an absolute shame. Lovely venue. Friendly staff. Shame about the food issues. Won't be returning. Hate leaving bad reviews but in this case, it's important I warn others.

Look no further that this great Indian restaurant. Has very good selection on the menu for all tastes. The decor is amazing and service excellent. Plus being in the canter of the city, really good value for money. It’s a must go venue

Went for a meal sat night, bhajis were nice very crispy and tasty, the main course came (jalali) and it was quite watery and the chicken was as well, It was supposed to be very spicy having four stars but it wasn’t at all. The decor was nice, but my abiding memory will be a member of staff clearing his throat of Bombay oysters whilst front of house. Paid a lot less at other places and the food was far tastier.

I had an amazing birthday celebration over there. The ambiance was perfect, and the staff went above and beyond to make the evening special. The food was outstanding, from appetizers to desserts. I especially loved paneer dish. The service was impeccable, and they even surprised me with a birthday dessert. I couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate. Highly recommended!

The food was great and plentiful. Plenty to choose from. Parking at the back(pay and display). The staff were very polite and helpful. We have been going to the Sangam since it’s days in Rusholme (I recall the headline - The last one is the best one. During my football days we always had our end of year meal and awards in their splendid event room. More recently we have enjoyed the high quality food, it is always a high standard. I can certainly recommend this place - enjoy!

Consistently over the last 15 years + The Sangam has been my 1st choice and go-to Indian restaurant. The service never has let me down but Shahin once more excelled and looked after my party. The food was fantastic and served with efficiency. A Highly recommended and Established restaurant that never has let me down.

Ordered a takeaway. This was genuinely the worst curry I've ever had in my life. Watery, bland, vile! The chicken was extremely tough and tasteless. I'm actually shocked at how awful it was. 1/10

Food was absolutely vile about 20 of us went for my grandmothers 75th birthday and everyone said the food was disgusting lacked flavour food was over cooked and everything tasted like it was made from frozen even the pineapple juice tasted gone off lamb was hard like a car tyre and the birthday cake they served us with ice cream was already melted and even the kids wouldn’t eat the chocolate cake reminds me of something off kitchen nightmares

Went for a late night dinner, the staff was not that great in terms of politeness and greeting. Very laid back. Probably tired of the days work. The food was not fresh. We ordered king prawns tikka which was quite cold. Was expecting something fresh and hot. I want to be as specific as possible. A really very good place for Indian food. All dished that we had were very good. The service was very friendly. If you are in the area of greater Manchester, it is definitely a place to go for good Indian food.

Came on a Sunday night so it was fairly quiet but it still had a lovely atmosphere. The waiting staff were really friendly. The food was amazing, loads of choice & came out piping hot. Our family has been dining here and the city centre branch for years. The food is delicious, great value for money, and the service is exemplary. They cater well for large parties as well as small. There are tons of veggie options too. On our latest trip we were really well looked after by Shahin. Thanks for making us feel so at home in your beautifully designed restaurant.
