Cheap shop bought bread, microwaved bacon . I know its location but over £4 was really OTT. Went there because my regular place was closed.

The absolute best sandwiches for lunch. Fresh baked bread and just about any type of filling you may want. Chicken bacon a solid choice.

Staying in the Thistle opposite, this was in fact a great find. Very fresh produce, we both had sandwiches and they were very generously filled. Friendly staff and what more could you ask for. Oh and wonderful cake.

This delightful sandwich bar is owned and run by a Portuguese couple, who are passionate about their product. Everything is quickly prepared to order and you choose your fillings from the hygienic glass display cabinet on the counter. The quality of all the food on offer is truly exceptional, my own favourites are the deliciously rare roast beef, and the Scottish smoked salmon, but there is so much more to choose from as well. Add to this the wide choice of proper bread, the soups, the soft drinks, the gourmet coffee, and the various home made cakes, and you have the perfect breakfast or lunch to take out. Service is always fast and always very friendly too. If you are in reach of Trafalgar Square, be sure not to miss this one.

Friendly, efficient place to grab a quick breakfast or choose between the endless sandwich options for lunch. Very reasonable prices for this part of London- paid £1.60 for tea compared with £3 in most other cafes in the area.

We were staying in hotel across street stop in 2 x for a jacket potato it was the best Everything look good Sandwich home make cakes pasta etc and it much be long line but moved quickly !!if you love jacket potato like they used to be made this is the place !!they are only open for lunch carry out.

The staff here were nice and friendly and weren’t pushy but giving us endless options. The food was yummy and even thought it may not look top quality on the outside, the food was delicious and one hundred percent a “one in a million”. If you’re near the area, come here for a snack or meal.

You enter the shop as it is winter inside. You do not feel welcome and you are seen as a number and not a customer. Food was ok-ish but I thought we were overcharged considering the advertised prices. You go there to chill and chilled you feel from the service and the prices.

I love Sandwich express, lovely and friendly however busy. They can literally make you anything. So many different sandwich fillings and always a queue to get in! Couldn't recommend enough.

During a 9 day stay in London, this was a must for coffee and croissants every morning. Fantastic, fresh baked goods and friendly service. They even reserved our breakfast pastries for us each morning! Located directly across from the Thistle Hotel in Trafalger Square .... worth searching for.

This little premises on Whitcomb Street is a hive of activity with an excellent range of food to satisfy every hungry desire from delicious savoury dishes to cakes that melt in the mouth. Also from early in the morning great porridge is available to kick start your day on these bitterly cold winter mornings. They also have an added advantage to the other premises in the area; downstairs they have an Angel in the kitchen, she must be an Angel as the cakes she produces for any special occasion like birthdays and anniversaries are heavenly! The freshest ingredients combined with her special talent make for out of this world cakes. Seek this place out for great food, friendly service from the team behind the counter and above the average quality and if that isn't enough to get you there try the cakes!!

With freshly homemade baked cakes its not good for your wasteline but they are so lovely. The main however is a delight , just ask the gents for some ideas and they will advise on a mixture of a truly splendid sandwich, if its for a health kick or a hang over they have the answer. my current favourite on sliced wholemeal is olive oil(no butter) salmon , avocado, sliced egg and a little salad , healthy and super filling , worth every penny. A true gem which is becoming rarer and rarer with the onslaught of so many cooperate chains. Apersonal touch of true class.

Outstanding sandwich shop with the best bread around. Great selection of homage sandwich combinations. Chicken and crispy bacon highly recommended. Salt beef on rye a must.
