Eggs cooked just right with a jammy texture and the sausage had a bit of a kick with the addition of chorizo. 4 stars - Sandwich: Turkey, cranberry, and pigs in the blanket all inside a warm panini style sandwich. Unique and tasty. 4 stars - Cider: one of the better ones I had with a nice balance of crispness and only a hint of sweetness. - Dog friendly: my friend's dog wasn't sunny allowed in but welcomed with water and biscuits Midlights: - Sandwich didn't come with chips and they looked so good regretted not ordering them. Lowlights: - Desserts sounded grand but was too full to order any Loved this delightful lunch and would come back intentionally next time.

We booked the private room upstairs À hectic Sunday lunch for 20 people All handled really well Food pretty good Staff attentive as 1 person stayed in the room and toooed up water and wine as we needed it. Great location

We recently enjoyed a Sunday Roast at the Royal Oak and it was absolutely delightful! We started with Smokey Bloody Mary's which were very tasty. We ordered the Pork and Chorizo Scotch egg after reading reviews and were not disappointed. We then went on to a Garden Salad with Pear, pecans and blue cheese. Very tasty. We both ordered the Roast Rump of Hereford beef with horseradish. It was accompanied with Yorkshire pudding, roasted parsnips, carrots, cabbage and potatoes and plenty of beef gravy. Wonderful! Everything was cooked to perfection! We ended with the Apple, Pear and Cranberry Crumble with Vanilla ice cream. Delicious!! Friendly, great service and amazing food!! Highly recommend!!

Nice atmosphere, youthful, the boys and girls who served were nice and kind. Good offer of beers and wines, excellent cuisine with more typical dishes! Also sweet top. Price quality normal

Had a going away dinner here for a colleague leaving for a new opportunity. Food was fantastic and the service was good. We had a fantastic waitress taking care of us. The only complaint I have is the atmosphere and how loud it was while we were there. It was difficult to talk at times from all the ambient noise of everyone in the pub. If you don’t mind the noise more power to you.

Was in town for an NFL game this past Sunday. The Royal Oak is Walking distance from Marlyebone Station, and my hotel. Decided to have dinner here because I didn’t go to a traditional British pub my last two visits to London, and this place exceeded my expectations. Great selection of contemporary beers like NEIPAs and traditional English Bitters. First time having a scotch egg and it was delicious and the burger can compete with your favorite gastropub back in the states. Service was excellent, was seated immediately and the rotating servers were attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. Highly recommend for anyone foreigners looking for a great pub experience

Only stepped inside for a quick drink while I was passing through, didn’t experience the food. Small but nice pub. Standing room and a few tables outside. A vodka and coke was £13 approx. Downed it and left. I was only there 5 minutes.

Proper pub with beer and lovely food. Great service, very accommodating and friendly, but not too much. Lovely mackerel rillette with perfect rye bread. Beef burger was small patty but lovely taste and salad with burger was lovely and fresh. Hope to go back soon

Después de nuestra ceremonia de boda en el Ayuntamiento de Marylebone todos caminamos la corta distancia hasta el Royal Oak y tuvimos nuestra recepción arriba. Solo un poco apretado para el espacio, 30 personas, pero funcionó, era una tarde soleada y una noche seductora con todas las ventanas abiertas. El personal era genial y nos permitió acceder a la habitación la noche anterior. Fue una pena que nos pidieran que termináramos la velada alrededor de las 10: 30 ish, habría sido bueno quedarse hasta la medianoche.

Tuvimos la comida aquí después de nuestra boda, y alquilamos el espacio arriba para 20 invitados. El servicio fue excepcional, desde hacer la consulta inicial hasta la noche misma. Todo el mundo estaba muy contento con la comida, las opciones de bebidas eran geniales, y el espacio en sí era perfecto para ese número de invitados y ser un lienzo en blanco para que configuremos como queríamos. Sin duda lo recomendaría para eventos similares.

A beautiful little pub with lovely servers and an amazing atmosphere and vibe. We found the pub accidentally while strolling through the neighborhood on our vacation and had a fun night! If we come back to London we’ll definitely visit this pub again.

What a fantastic pub. Great, well kept draught beer, a good selection of bottles of Belgian & German beer. And great food. The black pudding scotch egg is fantastic. Ticks all the boxes.

Be careful when ordering wine as the Royal Oak always choose the most expensive and never say until the bill arrives.

I chose this place because I was starving and it was near the hotel, but also the most crowded looking, classic London place in the area. Lots of locals outside and inside was bustling, all smiling and happy! They greeted me right away and I sat by the window in a bar type seat. Very nice. Great menu. Great beer and huge selection! So glad I went here.

Popped in for lunch with my daughter, what a great place. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere and the food is excellent.

El Royal Oak es un pub clásico situado muy cerca de nuestro hotel en Marylebone. Disfrutamos de nuestra cena temprana aquí, pero sobre todo, disfrutamos del ambiente estridente. El lugar se llenó de aficionados al fútbol, que acababan de regresar de un gran partido en Wembley. El lugar se llenó por completo y nos lo pasamos muy bien. La cerveza estaba fría, la comida era estándar, pero sabrosa comida del pub, y el ambiente era muy animado.

A good chain pub. However at 7pm the kitchen was closed. Obviously, it was a business decision but forced us to go elsewhere. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Went for drinks - they make good negronis and old fashioneds. Servers were friendly and the place had a relaxed vibe.

Service amazing, great food and some lovely real ale to wash it down with. Definitely would recommend!

I was invited to a friend's birthday, she wanted to try the Sunday roast. For me it was a good place for a drink, but to eat, perhaps try something else apart from the beef I had, food was served cold, hardly to return.

A gorgeous pub. Lovely decor and ambience. My daughter and I shared a rare roast beef ciabatta sandwich, which was crammed with tender beef, rocket and cheese. It came with some of the best chips I have had in a long time. Really great quality produce and excellent value at £12.50. It was more than enough to share. We also had a 375ml carafe of very delicious Montepulciano for £14.30. I used my City Stack discount, which took a tenner off the bill, so even better! Lovely service too.

Great food, good portions. Broccoli tempura was fabulous. Foccacia with hummous was delicious. Pleasingly sedate: no big TV or fruit machines.

An (almost) perfect place! Hospitality and availability, kindness made us feel very good. Environment is fantastic. Also everything we ordered. The only thing I highly recommend is putting the salad sauce with the tomatoes aside, because it is very strong and not everyone can like it so you can put it to taste, only for this reason 4 stars because that dish was ordered by the children and they didn't like it just because of the sauce. For the rest I would give 10 stars👏 Wonderful fish and chips, eggs, beer, wow chips, the best, dessert too!

Our family of four arrived without a booking for dinner, and the staff kindly sat us at a reserved table as long as we could finish before the reservation time (about an hour later). The staff here was very attentive and thoughtful throughout the meal. While there was no kids-specific menu, they offered to re-size the portions and add kid-friendly sides to the adult entrees we ordered for the little ones. The salmon ceviche was delightful, and I thoroughly enjoyed the extensive beer on offer.

We had our wedding dinner here yesterday 17:04:2024- The whole dinner was absolutely amazing and everything we wanted and more. The food was incredible and every single person agreed. The staff throughout the whole booking was so accommodating and nothing was too much to ask and we were able to have our celebration exactly how we pictured. The lady and gentleman who looked after us with all the drinks and food service was amazing, right down to knowing exactly what everyone wanted and they also knew where each person was sat on what they had individually ordered so they didn’t even had to ask which was such a lovely touch as it showed a great attention to detail. The whole experience was above what we expected and they would be our number one recommendation to anyone who would be doing the similar thing or any kind of event, especially considering the price which was unbelievably reasonable. We couldn’t be more thankful to the whole team who made our day that bit extra special.

Just popped in for quick pint when it wasn't very busy. Really clean throughout and lovely toilets. Was just struck by the fact that 4 male bar staff were all well presented but the only female bar lady was scantily dressed in what looked like just a bra and trousers. I'm no prude but it was quite striking the stereotypical picture that was portrayed in what was a classy and tasteful public house.

Great little pub in the Marylebone neighborhood with what feels like a local crowd and good food. We were staying at The Landmark Hotel just up the road, and this was a great place to walk to when we wanted to get away from the hotel but get something quick after a long day.

Food was poor, burnt fish and the chips didn't have the crispiness I like from a pub chip. Service good thoguh and atmosphere decent.

Food is tasty but the portion sizes are small enough to leave you feeling hungry

Came here for Sunday lunch and was really impressed! As not the biggest football fans we didn’t clock there was a huge football match on, so it was REALLY crowded downstairs but they put us upstairs so we’d be able to hear eachother. Waiters were fantastic! Food was really good! Will definately be coming back

Very traditional British pub with one of the best roast dinners in Marylebone. @Josh makes a perfect cosmopolitan! Thank you, Josh. The other guys are very friendly and don’t skip a beat when it comes up catering to the people no matter how busy it is. It’s nice to see how they work together. That’s what makes the place so nice to visit. The only thing is that if you’re not a fun of noise you can be a slightly bothered by the constant loud-ish chatter around, which makes a pub British. Other than that, very very enjoyable with friends. Thank you for the drinks and great food and hospitality.

Großartige Atmosphäre und leckere Getränke in einem typischen englischen Pub. Die Barkeeper waren sehr freundlich und boten selbst Proben von Getränken an, die man nicht kannte. Die Bar war mal leer, mal voll, aber immer sehr schön belebt. Wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen und kehren gerne nächstes mal wieder ein, wenn wir in London sind!

I held my 40th birthday party here at their room on the first floor. I had different friends and family arriving throughout the day at various times. Beautiful setting with delicious canapés. Great drinks list (they even have Harvey's). Champagne choice is spot on. This pub has a staff that is highly organised, flexible and with an excellent sense of how to host. From setting up a coat rack in another room, adjusting the windows to the capricious ways of the winter climate, to taking orders throughout the day from guests. Service is efficient, kind and professional. The food here is excellent, especially the pork ciabatta. All staff were friendly, patient and helpful. If I was turning 40 again I'd do it here and I'll do it again here when I turn 50 if I'm not dead. Highly, highly recommended.

The best Sunday roast we've had in a while at an affordable price. I had the chicken roast which was full of flavour and juicy.

Amazing historic pub. Theakston Old Peculier on draft ... a proper Yorkshire beer, served in the correct way. Loved the place, the welcome, the ambiance.

We had our wedding reception at The Royal Oak, and from the moment we chose the Royal Oak as our venue, nothing was too much trouble and each of my (many) emails was answered promptly.  The team that took care of us on the day were exceptional!  Additionally, the kitchen team (who are always 'backstage') were incredible, from the varied menu we were given, to the food served to us on the day - it was great.  All our guests raved about the food.    There really are no words to express how much we appreciated everyone's hard work in making our reception so special.

I decided to have my reception after my wedding here in their private space upstairs. It’s perfect for smaller groups and the food and staff are excellent. In particular I can vouch for the steak and chips and oh my goodness was it good! Andy who deals with all the enquiries was so good and communicating everything and the staff especially Tom and Leo were amazing on the evening keeping me informed of everything. I highly recommend this venue and we will be back for years to come. Thanks again guys x

Very nice pub near Edgware Road/Baker Street. Food was very good - we had a burger and the baked fish. Both was serviced quickly. They also have a wide range of drinks. Beer & cider tasted good. My daughter and I walked past on a Saturday night, it seemed so cosy inside we decided to go in for a drink. What a lovely surprise! It had such a nice and relaxing atmosphere that we ordered food, too. The staff, especially our waiter, was so friendly and attentive and the food really tasty. I so wish this was my local, will definitely be returning!

Sunday afternoon enroute to Wembley. First impressions of the pub were good - lively crowd, fairly busy, good selection of food available and easy access to the bar. First pint of Gunness, though servied in a lager glass, was OK - at least the bartender stopped pouring to let the drink settle. Decent pint. The second pint was a joke. Not only did I have to ask for the pouring of the glass be stopped to allow the drink to settle, but, as per my attached picture, the glass was absoluetly filthy. I couldn't finish the drink and shared my observations with one of the other bartenders. Really, an unacceptable situation. And if Diageo / Guinness are serious about promoting their brand, then provide proper glasses to your customers, preferably tulip type glasses and not those fancy embossed ones. And if the guvnors of The Royal Oak are reading this, please take this as genuine feedback - wash and dry your glasses properly and don't serve Guinness in what looked like Carling lager glasses.
