Fantastic little Sandwich shop and cafe. The proprietor is a genuine gentleman who takes pride in his work and real care in preparing food. There a great choice for sandwiches and fillings, hot or cold, including GF. If you're arriving at our leaving from Haymarket I thoroughly recommend this wee gem of a place to stop off for a bite to eat, or a takeaway!

Tasty and freshly made breakfast. Homemade flavor. Very friendly and personalized attention. Local with only 2 tables and a bar for 2 people.

If you are looking for something to eat around Haymarket station, avoid the overpriced franchises and pop in here for nice meal. Staff very friendly and service top notch. I had a Toastie with a side salad and crisps and cup tea for less than £10. Nice, clean & informal dining area, with cutlery spotless which is not always a given in similar venues. Such attention to detail explains why the food is always good quality. Perfect send off at the beginning or end of A journey.

Such a lovely wee place that I always enjoy going into and taking my parents when they come to visit. The owner is so welcoming and kind! Food is great quality and all homemade. A cozy place with nice relaxed atmosphere which is a welcomed change when you walk out of the station. It has become one of my favourite lunch spots, I'll def be taking my friends there too.

All was well until we got done with the bill. They charged £5.80 for a child's cheese toastie. They also got the bill very wrong, which I asked them to redo, and they struggled to understand all of a sudden. It was a shame as the food and service was good.

Staff and owner are really friendly and is a really nice relaxed place. Beautiful decor inside and is a nice place to grab a quick breakfast for a good price. Just opposite the Haymarket Train Station, making it a good spot to grab something to eat before your journey. Would recommend for anyone local or visiting. ☺️

Visited yesterday for a quick sandwich whilst passing through Haymarket. Very warm welcome and fantastic service! Large selection of options and they were very accommodating to allergies! Food was absolutely delicious and would highly highly recommend! 🙂

Every time I'm working in Edinburgh, if I can, I have lunch from here. The panini's are fantastic and I haven't honestly tried their non-panini stuff yet but colleagues tell me it's to die for... I had a haggis, crispy bacon and other ingredients panini last week which may have been the best one yet, and the meal deal (with the soup) is great value for money!

Previously had a take away but have been here this morning for a quick brunch and I must say, the vibes and music are so soothing and peaceful. I had the Korean hot chicken panini and iced hot chocolate, both were made to perfection. And on top of that the owner is one of the nicest persons I’ve come across in Edinburgh. Highly recommend!!

Went in the morning and was met by the very nice man behind the counter who made us feel very welcome Ordered the vegan sandwich and it was lovely and cost less than the other shops on this road Would go again as it is a cute sandwich shop with a good menu!

We are a couple catching a train from Haymarket to Glasgow and stopped here for a quick breakfast. The sandwich was great but the hospitality of the owner is unmatched. He found a spot for our large luggages so we can sit comfortably inside. A great spot to stop by in or out of Haymarket.

we popped in here on the way back from holiday October 2023. as a weary traveller, this happened to be a fantastic stop, had the pastrami toasted baggette and it was delicious. not only that think the owner is possibly one of the nicest people ive ever had the pleasure to chat to. he gave us some free banana bread for the rest of our travels. a true gent. such a lovely touch. if im ever back in Edinburgh, i'll stop in here again thats for sure. ;)

We stayed nearby and were very fortunate to find this excellent gem... visiting on each of the 4 days of our visit to the City. The experiences were exemplary. The host was very welcoming, offered great intelligent conversation and an amazingly friendly smile. The food was exquisite. Breakfast... prepared by the splendid Tracy... was so very well presented and so very tasty. We had something different each day... and still saw more on the menu that we'd have loved to have tried... it was so extensive... and mouth-watering. On our last day we took out New York Deli style sandwiches... to enjoy (and we did!) on our journey back home. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the cafe was spotlessly clean. We'd thoroughly recommend this wonderful little establishment to all... it was so very special.

Our first meal in Edinburgh was not disappointing! We ordered the full Scottish breakfast and everything was delicious especially haggis (which I'm so glad I tried.) The owner was super welcoming and the prices were more than reasonable. Great place!

Went for the first time, the folks working there were helpful and polite. Really pleasant couple! The sandwich selection was fantastic, I could barely choose which I wanted to eat. The ingredients were good and the portions were generous. The prices are in line (if not slightly below) the area. I got an iced coffee and I know it’s a small thing but the straw was made out of something eco friendly but not paper. It makes such a difference for whatever reason to not have to deal with the straw disintegrate while I’m enjoying my coffee. Just an example of the attention to detail I appreciated. I’m definitely making that my regular lunch spot when I’m in the office.

Twice visited and really enjoyed both visits- super friendly (the most friendly in the Haymarket area I’d say) and excellent coffee. Bacon roll deal also a must- freshly made (nice crispy bacon) with excellent bun. Seems like a great variety of lunch options too!

Die Sandwiches werden immer ganz frisch zubereitet. Wir hatten 4 Sandwiches. Alle 4 wurden warm serviert und jedes einzelne hat wirklich super lecker geschmeckt. Der Besitzer war sehr freundlich und nett. Danke für das tolle Frühstück bevor wir abgereist sind! Ist nämlich ein perfekter Standort, da der Airlink100 zum Flughafen gegenüber abfährt.

Came In here for a quick breakfast as it was on the way into Edinburgh city centre. The shop was clean and tidy. We ordered a smoked salmon bagel which was delicious and the full Scottish breakfast which was nice, but has to be dropped 1 star as the sausages wasn't anything special. Prices seemed a little over what I expected but that could be as it's in the city.

Small business, great food, reasonably priced. Went there for breakfast and enjoyed the sandwiches, so fresh and delicious. The hot chocolate is also good. Definitely a must try when in Edinburgh.

We were looking for a quick easy place to have a sandwich near our lodgings after a long train journey. Sandwich Culture didn’t disappoint. We had excellent toasted sandwiches that were tasty, with fresh ingredients, at a good price. The proprietor was quick, friendly and helpful. While we are several regulars popped in, always a good sign. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a good sandwich at a decent price.

My dad and I visited during a trip to Edinburgh. We had breakfast (bacon & black pudding roll, and mocha porridge) then came back for lunch (Panini and cake). The food was good and the owners delightful. Well located opposite Heymarket station.

The sandwich I had lacked any character. I was promised a hot and spicy chicken experience, but received mere imitation of it. I did not receive my desired culture lesson in chicken sandwiches I consumed the sandwich, but now feel empty, as I am disappointed. I also got a packet of Tyrell crisps, so this helped my melancholy somewhat.

Great little sandwich shop in the Haymarket vicinity. Interesting options, I had the toasties with haggis bacon and cheese which hit the spot. Not a lot of seating available but good for a grab and go. Lots of other cafe options in this area, but Sandwich Culture is well worth stopping at.

Myself and my mam have been here twice in two days ! And let's just say the guy who runs the shop was very friendly and always happy to help us. We both stopped by for a coffee before checking into our hotel which was lovely. The following day we had a small bite to eat before heading into town for shopping. I had a vegan option (avocado and Hummus on toast) which was absolutely lovely to try for a change. Would absolutely recommend this lovely place to anyone who wants a quick coffee or a bite to eat. Sandwich Culture also does takeaway service if you are in a rush. Very cheap and tasty food !

Been coming here for nearly 5yrs, consistently excellent. Excellent service, excellent sandwiches/paninis/homemade soups. There are pre-prepared sandwiches, and you can also ask to switch out ingredients (e.g. pesto instead of mayo/ sub instead of baguette). The owners are the nicest couple, so friendly. I love this place and would highly recommend it.

We ended up here just passing by and we’re glad we found it. So friendly and an amazing selection of food from paninis, baguettes, toasties and bagels, to full breakfasts, specials and salads. So tasty, really good food and good coffee too.

Visited recently and ordered a sandwich and a can of pop, it came to £6.10 which I don't mind for a really good sandwich, however this one was a smallish roll with very little filling and not much taste. Not impressed. I paid top prices for Asda quality and won't bother returning in the future...you only rip people off once in this life.

Delicious food, good friendly service. Beware the cunning pricing strategy though. The window shop menu will tell you that a panini and coffee is £7.40 but if you have it inside that will come to £9.10. I personally find this more than a little underhanded and I would suggest going elsewhere for a quick lunch where pricing policy is a bit more transparent. The devil is in the detail and some restaurateurs must think that everybody has money to burn.

Kleines Sandwich oder auch Frühstückslokal am Haymarket. Netter Service, alles wird frisch zubereitet. Leider befinden sich innen nur 3-4 Tische und es ist etwas eng. Der Porridge war ok, die Sandwiches etwas zu trocken. Aber ingesamt kann man da ruhig hingehen.

Can’t recommend highly enough, I was hunting for somewhere for my young daughter and my dog to get some water, having looked on tinterwebs closest place was west end miles away from direction we were heading, for an apt. As we passed noted dog friendly sign, bingo, the kind gentleman offered my dog water before we did anything else which was perfect. He was chatty and friendly, the coffee was made to perfection for me and they had the prettiest display of various cakes. We had mini Victoria sponges and thoroughly enjoyed them. Same man was very patient when I was trying to get my small army out the shop. Honestly lovely wee place will definitely be back.

Had the special . baked potato with chilli con carne and a pot of tea. Order taken quickly and food reached me quickly. Nicely presented and very enjoyable. Sit in area very small only room for 2 tables. Only one member of staff who worked incredibly hard both cooking and serving. Very impressed with their ability to keep cool and deal with everything. Felt very welcome and relaxed here and would definitely reccommend. Also lovely homemade cakes which I may try another time.

Sandwich culture makes really excellent sandwiches, mainly for take away but there are a couple of small tables to. Everything is made by hand. All the ingredients are really good quality, the prices are great value, and the owner is as nice a man as you will meet. Excellent!!

Food is amazing. Staff are wonderfull. They have ready to go sandwiches if you're in a rush but sandwiches made there are definitely worth a 2 minute wait. Very affordable for the amazing taste, normally have a soup or two and jacket potatoes. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the haymarket area and hungry

Great place for a quick fresh lunch. The staff is always friendly and the food is delicious. They have pre-made sandwiches if your in a real hurry but the made to order stuff is fast and delicious. The usually have 2 soups and some hot food too.
