Worst eating experience I've had In years . We visited as a family my daughter and I ordered the very young and inexperienced server was highly confused by it all . We ordered fish and chips and burgers and a kids meal she go ok that will be 25 mine wait so didn't mind that then waited the mins for four drinks . As we are waiting been start to see ppl complaing about food and service . We then waited 55 mins for our food which by then we were getting fed up . Well wat a mess the food was my partner and my fish wasn't cooked it was frozen watery cold inside and practically burnt on outside .. my daughter's burger was so hard on edges you could have resoled your shoe but then as she bit into it further it was raw in middle it as nearly still mooing . After complaining they refunded us the money for burger .. unfortunately the staff are way to young to run such a place unfortunately staff seemed to be highered by looks rather than being able to think on there feet and cook a decent meal . It is in prime location so would expect far better food and service and staff need to be trained not to wipe the food of the table on to floor Wen cleaning . Never never again will I go in the it was crap

Ordered food waited 1 hour to be delivered to the table , ordered 3 meals only 2 arrived asked about 3rd got told they didn't have it . Asked for money back manager very rude turned her back on us went off told another person to give our money back then stood glaring at us no apology offered . Many people complained about waiting time and the disgusting food that was served,avoid at all cost. I wouldn't have even gave it a 1 star but dont get that option

Waited 20 mins to take order at a desk, waited 40 mins for food to arrive, two stone cold under-microwaved jacket potato’s one of which had at best a dessert spoon of tuna-mayo to acompany (minuscule) and a salad that would give a steak knife a run for its money to cut the tomato. Shame as staff were friendly just clearly not enough of them to cope. Won’t go back.

Was ltwo girls working when I came in for lunch with my 4 kids and partner was served by a blond who had the most rudest attitude I haven't ever encountered in the food service industry when taking order was do rude when I repeated my drinks order and she took half order down wrong have never in my twenty years As a chef have I ever had such rude waitress

Came in on a Monday lunchtime. The place was maybe 1/3 full... Got in the queue at 12:35, with just one person ahead of us, it took >10 minutes to get served. The dinner then came 30 minutes later. I'd ordered Suffolk Ham, Egg & Chips... to find that the eggs were overcooked and the yolks hard. The ham was fridge fresh and being warmed by the eggs, the chips were seconds from the fryer, and had a similar temperature to molten lava. My wife ordered the cod and chips - the fish was very greasy, the batter tasted like it was cooked in very old oil. Every 5 seconds, my wife removed another bone from her mouthful of fish... I've never seen quite so many bones come from a single portion of fish. My little girl had "egg and chips". It came with a single egg, cool and burnt chips, and three-quarters of a plate of molten baked beans. Along with a round of soft drinks, I was aghast to find that this cost >£25. I genuinely think a Tesco meal deal would have been a better meal.

The sands diner was almost void of customers.it was easy to see why.fish and chips were horribly dry and hard and there was no loo roll to be found in the ladies toilet.will not be going back again

We only ate it coz we were hungry. The sausage tasted strange, not what you would expect on an English breakfast, three small mushrooms were what you got on the Full English and the egg has a hard yolk wether you wanted it or not. Only one person serving and clearing tables. We will not be going back thats for sure.

On the hottest day of the year, on Father's day in a beach front diner they had one person trying to deal with all the orders leading to a queue that grew longer and longer. Eventually we were able to order and we're one of the 'lucky' ones as we actually managed to order some food. They took three more orders before (and while there was still a long queue) they decided to stop serving food as it was too busy!!! They must have turned away at least 30-40 people in the 30 minutes they took to get our food to our table. When the food got to us my wife and I were given a modest portion whereas my 3 year old daughter who ordered a kids meal was given twice as many chips as we had been given. All in all a poor experience with poor customer service. Avoid at all costs!

Having found a table (very sticky) asked the 3 year old what she wanted & then waited an age to be served i asked if they could make a child's cheese sandwich. The look i received was enough to turn milk sour with a sharp "no look at the menu". The place wasn't busy but I will never step a foot inside there again.

Judging by the reviews, we must have been lucky when we stopped for breakfast last weekend. Ordered two full English at counter, didn't have to wait very long, and it was very nice. Tables and cutlery seemed clean. The flowers in vase on table needed a water change, but everything ok with meal and nice cappuccino. So good value and no complaints😊.

We arrived and sat outside on a bank holiday Sunday. It was busy which was no surprise. After ordering we waited 45 minutes before asking where our food was. The waitress told us we had only just ordered. The table after us had the same problem as did the table of 4 that sat down just before us. The table of 4 got told after 50 minutes of waiting that they had run out of roast beef did they want to order something else. They were not best pleased. We continued to wait. The table of 4 got 3 of the meals they ordered and the waitress disappeared. We waiting a total of 1 hour 15 minutes and I went to ask for our money back. The waitress then told me we had only been waiting 30 minutes. I then demanded my money back and told the people queuing to order not to bother. This place is on the seafront and should of expected to be busy on a bank holiday weekend. We only ordered chicken and chips and chicken nuggets and chips nothing that warrants waiting that long. The Chippy next door is well worth a visit!!!

Me my other half and son visited today I'm gutted I picked this place instead of my beautiful hotdog literally across the road I cannot fault the service the young lady friendly but I think management need to make more of an effort, uniform, cutlery was a mix and match stained chairs bacon was cold but as I'm a waitress myself didn't want to hassle the lady that has to front this place sorry won't be returning

Good cafe for a quick rest from the cold outside! Coffee and snacks good. Staff very lovely which is always pleasant.

Went with family for lunch. Had traditional breakfast, ok. Jacket potatoe with filling and a wet, tired bit of lettuce but it was not bad. Kids meals consisted with just chips with everything. Place was empty but service slow. Not that clean looking, don't go into the toilet!

Walked in tables dirty, chairs stained and nasty looking. Wait staff not friendly when asked about a menu item, they didn't know the answer and wasn't sure if the "chef" could prepare the house special. Food was so-so. Had to ask for napkins, this was the third time wait staff rolled her eyes at us. Utensils were dirty. Breakfast Plates on the neighbouring table have been here the entire time. Wait staff not interested in helping customers nor cleaning the tables. Should have read reviews before we walked in.

Perfect day in felixstowe,sun shining , out with wife and grandaughter and then made the sorry mistake of entering this establishment.waited an hour for filled baguette,cutlery tray minging,toilets probably as filthy as i have ever seen.poor girls behind counter worked to a frazzle.saw more food returned than served.surprised it made no.66.

Walked into this place at about 2.30pm on a Wednesday afternoon in August. Tables dirty, seat dirty and broken. Kids were hungry so decided to stay! Went to order our food. Was told no food orders being taken for half an hour. )Place was less than half full but chef needed to catch up apparently) The girl on the till told me she would inform me once orders were being taken. Bit later a large group of adults and kids walk in (atleast 12 people) They go up to the food order point and orders are now being taken! I join the queue! Order my food and request our food order takes priority over large group as we've waited at least half an hour already. Food comes out eventually. Tuna mayonnaise is more like just mayonnaise with extra mayonnaise on top! Kids meals weren't bad. Good size portions and chips are nice. Generally overpriced for what you get and the environment you have to eat in. Toilets are disgusting for a food establishment. Would be interested to know this diner's hygiene rating from environmental health?! Wasn't displayed on their window that I could see. We visit Felixstowe at least once a year. Definitely will NEVER eat here again. Such a shame as it has an ideal location.

I have been here many times before. It has always been a bit rough and ready, but there was good wholesome food served on clean tables, and the service was good. The owners have really let their standards slip. The tables were dirty (they were wiped, but there was food between the slats of wood that make up the table-top). There was a very full and smelly ashtray on the table. The menu was creased and dirty. The saving grace was that the service, food, and prices were reasonable - we had the all day breakfast at £5.

What a bag of turd, gravy was like jelly and these horrible People served me up mash with a roast. What kind of nonsense is this. I frankly think this was a senseless act of laziness. It smelt of egg and a bloke next to me was waiting so long for his food he fell asleep. Me nor my family will ever return.

Our family popped in sands for some food the tables and chairs were dirty and tatty knives & forks dirty we were told 30 minuets wait for the food after 40 minutes I asked where the food was the lovely polite girl said they very busy and it wouldn't be long the staff were over worked it wasn't their fault the food came the children hardly ate anything nor did the 2Adults mine neaver made it to the table so got a refund the manager came over to us a bit Aggressively and said was a matter I told him the story he just said well were Busy I said the place was dirty and tatty he did ask if there was anything else we wanted but I said no thanks couldn't wait to leave, if the place has a revamp and change of management we will gladly go back

We had lunch here today. We waited 50 mins for our food. I asked after 40mins how long it would be and the waitress just said I don't know and was going to walk off I had to ask her again to find out. We had to ask them to bring out clean forks twice. We asked them to clear our table of dirty dishes from the people before and they didn't actually do it, we did it ourselves. It's a large restaurant and wasn't full. There were no apologies for our wait, you don't mind waiting when the service is good and polite. The food was ok.

Stopped here for breakfast good value and tasty the place was very clean old saucy style postcard picture and a very old picture of Felixstowe when it was in the 60s,it was warm despite being a winters day,picnic tables outside,

Every single time we go here we get good food and good service! Great value for money! Best cafe in Felixstowe!
