Was not a fan of the last time I ordered but the lamb masala chops were delicious this time and I really enjoyed the food.

The butter chicken was so over salted. It sadly wasn’t edible

Food is very tasty and have ordered many times. gutted today as a rice was missing. But I would order again.

Food is normally good from here. Main courses were fine this time but popadoms were really stale.

Been going there for years but must be new management. No hot plates. Luke warm food. Chicken TM like soup with a bit of chicken. Place was empty. Wife has stomach ache. Never again. Pity as used to be good.

the driver was awful. not only did he go to the wrong address, he starts having a go at me for not having the correct address. I tried to explain that there's quite a few properties with the same post code and that all he needs to do is scroll down the list to Foxley hall. I asked if I could show him what I meant on his phone. he gave me the phone and Foxley hall came up straight away. which made him worse. drivers really need to learn the area they work.

Worst Indian we have ever had. Plates was swimming in water. The prawns was a funny colour and rock solid. Chicken wasn’t no better. Will never order again, shocking wish I could get my money back.

Paratha 10/10, buttery and flaky and delicious I could have had more!, pilau rice- standard and good. Chicken tikka masala? Oh dear. No cream, watery sauce and tasted like a kilo of sugar was used- it burnt my throat! The supposed tikka pieces tasted boiled with no flavour although they had a skewer mark so one would assume they’d been in the tandoor. If they had it wasn’t for long… aloo saag was wayyy too salty, but the flavour was good. The delivery man was exceptional and a real credit.

I have ordered from many Indian takeaways and one thing I know is when Indian restaurants shortcut. The main Currys were extremely disappointing as coconut milk/shavings were used to thicken the sauce. Absolutely ruined the flavour on the mains as very strong taste to it and completely ruined the currys. The only thing that saved this from being a one star was that the sides were good but I regret ordering from this place and will never again. Delivery fantastic and very responsive.

It was a good meal. Although, I did not appreciate the delivery driver deciding to tell me (unsolicited) that he had taken a bottle of brandy from a local shop with the security tag still attached and that he should return to the shop to tell them. I felt awkward to say the least....

The food was early but the madras was not hot or even medium spice, the saag paneer had loads of spinach and barely any paneer and the general meal felt bland.

We ordered a take away for our works Christmas party, we put the order in the night before to be delivered at a certain time They were really helpful on the phone and food turned up on the night at the correct time, the driver was really lovely, wished us a great party and wished us a happy Christmas but the best bit was the food was absolutely delish Would not hesitate to order from them again totally great service all round x.

This is a bad restaurant there was a broken glass in my food. And also I saw a rat 🐀 running around. I brought that into staffs attention they denied it pathetic ! Price is too high where food is not great!

Took nearly 2 hours to come was cold when it did come bombay potato was full of oil rice was dry disgusting used to enjoy the food but its gone downhill

Horrible restaurants arrogant staff ! Sneezed on my food however declined to replace it ! Screaming shouting from management is a disgrace. As soon as I walked in overwhelming smell of cannabis surprised me. Food is Horrible too I do not recommend this restaurant. Disaster !

The food is nice but the restaurant is so busy meaning food always takes over an hour. Ordered on a Friday night and it took 1h20m.

Food was good but needed reheating. Order was due by 8 then put back to 8:25 after numerous phone calls driver finally turned up at 9:05. Not happy, wouldn't use again due to delivery times

Was disappointed with the methi ghosht as there was hardly any methi in it!

Food was lovely, apart from the veg curry with the biriyani was awful tasted like gravy not a curry really basic...the biryliyano itself was delicious

Delicious food. Korma cooked just right with tender chicken. Good portions. Finally, a good Indian restaurant in the area.

It took about an hour and a half to arrive and was completely cold. The food quality was ok but obviously had to be reheated in the microwave and so we all had to eat separately.

This use to be my go to. Not sure what’s happened, but food recently has been barely warm, tasteless and watery.

Was left in front of my door and no one knocked on my door or called to tell me it was ready. When I finally found the delivery, it was no longer hot

No rice came or poppadoms. A prawn korma came instead of a vegetable one which was flavourless and watery. Also found bones in the lamb chunks. When we called and asked for our money back for the missing items they were not helpful. Called back after 10 minutes after our call and said would be about 20 minutes, which by then our food would be cold and the kids were hungry.

The worst Indian food I’ve ever had. If you like authentic Indian food then avoid this restaurant like the plague. None of the dishes looked or tasted like they should…trust me I’m Indian and I should know. The saag paneer was in a sickly yellow sauce. And barely had any saag. The Aloo chat had uncooked chunks of courgette and was definitely not chaat flavour or consistency and was totally was inedible. The Karahi lamb was not at all a karahi dish and was in a runny sauce instead of a thick rich sauce. The madras chicken was sweet and a madras is supposed to be hot. In fact all the dishes had sweet undertones. I don’t usually write bad reviews but I felt I had to on this occasion as a warning to lovers of authentic Indian food.

Booked for a big family for my daughters birthday. Wonderful food and service. Could not fault one thing. Very accommodating for our own birthday cake and for two of the children with us who were not eating. (Disabilities) First time we’ve tried this restaurant and wont be the last! 10/10!

The food was bland tonight, have ordered several times from this restaurant without issue in the past the , maybe the restaurant has hired a new chef?

Unfortunately the food was very bland, no spices tasteless! Everything was catered for the milder pallet. Keema naan hardly had any keema! Kabab roll was a greasy mess! Cucumber raita was a shocking! A dump of Yoghurt with cucumber. No presentation or care very disappointing. Waste of money!

Butterfly King prawn was dry and tasteless, lamb rogan was more tomato and onion than meat which was also taste less, coconut rice was nice but overall the entire meal was tasteless.

Having never ordered a curry in Sanderstead this one had a good verity of flavours. I do wonder if it had been toned down for the suburban audience.

The food might have been nice if it wasn’t cold. Very disappointed.

Food is great quality but £8.50 for 5 chunks of chicken and barely any sauce is not acceptable, will be the last time I order from them.

food was delayed an extra 30 mins so over 1 hour 30 mins for delivery but the food did make up for the time delay. it was worth the wait. i will continue to use but hopefully next time the food comes a bit quicker.

This restaurant is usually spot on but we ordered balti gosht and got chicken. We also ordered veggie samosas and got meat.

OMG best Vegan Spinich Onion Bhajis In the World !!! Well worth a visit very tasty and very hard to beat menu. Newly decorated and vegan and vegetarian friendly.

I ordered a delivery came to me virtually straight away, within half an hour, the rice was tasteless as was the chicken tikka massala. Won't be using them again.

The Food was very nice but unfortunately not very spicy , Madras was very mild, needed more spice especially for a Madras but other than that I can't complain

Two of us went to the restaurant a week ago and we chose to have the Banquet Menu. The choice of food was good, the service was excellent and the total price was very reasonable.

I could not fault the delivery nor the food quality. It arrived hot and was delicious. This was my first experience from Sanderstead Tandoori and I will certainly use them again. (Not sure why I had to rate 'Restaurant service' as I didn't use this, but had to match the six stars I'd given for food quality and delivery time).

Wrong and cold food delivered an hour earlier than requested time after driver called after getting lost. Never had a problem before but whole order went in the bin and after ten hours at work kinda ruined New Year’s Eve :o(

Bland and tasteless if we weren't hungry would have returned it however we won't be buying from them again or recommend not worth the money

Amazing! Honestly the best Indian takeaway I've EVER had and I've had a lot, I'm also half indian on my mums side so was brought up on traditional indian food! Also the guy that delivered it was very friendly and is a credit to the takeaway so I hope he's looked after. Thank you!

I've been eating in and out of Sanderstead Tandoori for more that 20 years. Apart from the very occasional hiccup, their food is always top notch. I highly recommend.

A++ Tasty flavours, lovely spices. Delivery quick and food hot. Friendly service too. Will definitely pick them again for a curry night.

I'll start by saying that this is a local curry house to us and every time we've ordered or visited, the staff have been exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately however the food has got consistently worse. We tend to order chicken dishes and have tried a variety now, and in each of the more recent dishes we've tried the chicken is hard and flakey, as if it's been cooked and recooked several times. The most recent outing was a chicken tikka dish and the food was inedible - hard chicken that was incredibly salty and certainly not the tikka/tandoor flavours it ought to have been. The bread and sundries are fine, nothing special. The most disappointing thing here is that the food used to be tasty and fresh and with such a friendly staff team, I wish it was better.

Tasty dishes and a more than timely delivery makes Sanderstead one of the best restaurants in this neighbourhood - if not the best

Everything was perfect apart from it being a little late.

Got sent the wrong food and my correct order and was missing one item and it came almost two hours after I ordered my food to be delivered at 7.30. Never ordering from sanderstead tandoori again. So disappointed! I never leave reviews. But this was just shocking and restaurant was rude.

Tbf usually really good but tonight was absolutely rubbish for some reason, from the late delivery, missing items, and the quality of the food!! This was the worst curry I’ve ever had and I’ve had plenty believe me!

GLASS FOUND IN FOOD! I tried to be reasonable with this restaurant and after a conversation with the owner I felt that I was being taken seriously. The owner was supposed to bring round a refund personally as we paid cash. After chasing twice now I haven’t had any response and have had to resort to letting the public know the situation. I have loved the food from here for years but after finding glass in the food which resulted in me cutting my mouth and the restaurant not returning calls it’s left a really sour taste. The owner has tried to say they have no glass in the kitchen. Either way, it it their responsibility to take this matter very seriously.

Probably one of the worst indians. Food came warmish. Small portions of curries filled with onion and sauce hardly any meat, small mini chunks , £2.50 rice for small containers. Very very stingy indeed. Hardly any flavour. Very surprised they are bengali, tasted like child’s food. Stone cold breads. Will not be ordering again. Ever. Came late too. Thanks but no thanks. What a waste of £50

Food could’ve been hotter (heat wise)! Keema Naan was disappointing … no mince inside… looked like it just had a meat paste brushed inside it!
