Best fish and chips around with good seating and have better opening days than others.

Lovely food at a reasonable price.

I have deleted my previous review, because since my first time of visiting, I have found that compared to other chippies in the area, the prices are pretty similar but quality is far better. I've now been several times.

Great service and a fantastic pensioners lunch. All cooked to order wonderful. Everything cooked in veg oil. Great mushy peas. 2024 lovely pice of haddock.

Ordered online and was given refried fish, dry and tough. usually it is good, why do companies compromise on quality- such a shame

Chip's not very fresh I feel they could have been cooked twice very dry and chewy

The fish and chips are lovely, I really enjoy them. The price is like many other chippies..... £11.00 for cod and chips, but they are nice. I witnessed a bloke ordering 3 portions of chips and being charged £9.90 which seems ridiculous for some fried potatoes. BUT businesses need to make a profit to pay their bills, the wages of their staff, and of course tax etc I have had a lot worse for similar prices...... fish and chips are not a cheap meal anymore.

Fast friendly cooked to order cod and chips for my takeaway. Still contents still hot and batter still crispy when I got home. Today i dined in. I was amazed at the size of the portions. I ordered the seniors lunchtime special. What value for money. Hayley looked after us so well. She was efficient and friendly, speedy in keeping on eye on you if you needed anything. A large selection of food available, my friend loved the ham and eggs choice and helped me eat the desert which definitely was enough for two. Everything was tasty. 😋

First visit for a while. Cod and chips as good as we remembered.

Dropped in for a takeout fish and chips. Portion size was good, chips were nice but slightly older from an earlier cook, but I did arrive later so to be expected, fish was a little greasy but well cooked and batter still had some crispness too it. Shop well layed out Reasturant area looks nice, stars on food alone good but room to improve, cost was a little high especially for the small curry sauce, and sauce wasn’t temperature hot.

Have to say , having being very disappointed on several occasions with the Hayle based Sanders foundry square as so many I know were as well, Sanders based in pool Redruth, is a complete opposite, all staff member's are exceedingly pleasant and polite , we have virtually gone through the menu here now , and every dish was awesome , in size and taste , nothing is to much hassle for the staff 100% recommend the restaurant, with amble parking to .

first class food,service,and clenlyness. the lady that served me was polite and freindly the fish chips and pees was fresh and tasty the place was spotless .... i will eat there any time EXCELLENT

We visited here recently. The fish chips & mushy peas were very good especially the fish. Restuarant was clean tidy & quiet. We were served promptly & by a pleasant lady. My one complaint would be that we had absolute minuscule portions ( one tiny ramekin each of sauce ) I would say it was barely a dessert spoonful. All the more so, considering the cost ( 15.50) I was surprised the waitress did not even say’ just ask if you would like more’ In my opinion it was very mean indeed. Also, the waitresses nails were dirty, which was rather off putting!

Had a gluten free cod chips. It was the best I’ve ever had ! Down staying with family along agar rd. staff were very. Pleasant wonderful place to go wish you had one in Trowbridge Wiltshire. 👍😎

On holiday in portreath, sanders was recommended..We had fish, steak and kidney pie, scampi chips and curry sauces absolutely delicious. Massive portions too..

After checking out reviews thought we'd give Sanders a try. Was served in the takeaway with friendly staff waited for the fish to be cooked and was well worth the wait with great portion sizes. Will definitely be returning. I couldn't fault them, and I've been to plenty of chip shops around the country.

Fantastic! Our first visit, all be it they took a little time to serve us, but they were extremely busy at the time. Food arrived quickly, good portion, they were the best chips I've had for a long time, atmosphere was great, decor super, staff amazing, will certainly be visiting again, and recommend to friends and family.

Our takeaway fish, chips and sausage with curry sauce were beautiful but quite expensive for one portion of each between us however, the portions were generous

Portions are huge. The waitress said we wouldn't be disappointed with the portions, and she was so right! A lovely chip shop restaurant or take away. It's definitely worth a visit. Park was a little tricky, but we went around the bloke and came back and got a space as many people were popping in for takeaway.

I only popped into 'Sanders chippy' as it was one of the only local chippies that is open at lunchtime until 2pm, when I seen the prices though I went all light headed and nearly walked straight back out of the door again, BUT I'm pleased that I didn't! I ordered a small cod & medium chips, which, after a short wait, were ready and packaged in a largish box. The food was all steaming hot and to my surprise, had a really decent portion of crispy golden chips and a good-sized fillet of perfectly cooked crispy golden battered cod. The portion was actually bigger than many large portions that I have previously ordered elsewhere. Waiting times weren't too long, the food was very tasty & perfectly cooked, great portion sizes, the staff were friendly, the premised appeared clean & hygienic. The price is a little more than I'd normally be happy to pay, but I didn't feel diddled as I haven't had such lovely fish'n'chips in a long time! A well earned 5☆ review. I'd highly recommend.

2nd time I've been here and was just as good. The chip shop has some parking at the front and inside it's modern and clean with plenty of seating if you're eating in. The service is quick and the staff are friendly and helpful. Plenty to choose from and large portions. Will go again.

We went on their busiest Monday ever, they were understaffed meaning a delay and then issues to the order, but the staff were very gracious and apologetic and gave us extra, and the fish and chips were great! Hope the managers appreciate these top staff.

I use this fish and chip shop weekly. The food is always excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful. My dad has mobility problems and they help him with his box of fish and chips and hold the door for him. Sam and the rest of the crew are doing a brilliant job. Well done to you all.

Came in 10 minutes before closing time hours states they are still open for 10 minutes, man who served me black hair beard, seemed like he couldn't wait to get rid of me ? Great food to start with, friendly service, great value, especially for the older 65+ community. Our visit was a little marred by the presence of a large family unit with 5 children under 4, which was non-stop pandemonium, but not fault to Sanders.

Just got home after purchasing my fish and chips and I have to say how disappointed we are with the portion size for the price. It’s literally a children’s portion. When you first opened portion sizes were a bit skimpy but we persevered and the did get better but the last three time over the past few months they are really not worth the money. We won’t be coming back

12 of us visited today for a family get together to celebrate a loved ones birthday ( not with us anymore). This was his favourite chippy. The food was really great, well cooked, very good portions and the sweet was to die for. The service was very good, nothing too much trouble. The restaurant was very clean, airy and tables well spaced. Highly recommended.

Service was excellent the staff couldn't do enough for us. The food was freshly cooked and was of a high standard. Prices were good and matched the quality of the food and service. Will definitely return again.

The best chip's I've had in a long time.

Friendly and helpful staff, and speedy service. The scampi was good, but sadly the chips were not very good and the portion size was quite small. I think they were fried in oil that was too cold.

Do not recommend going here unless you want to be spoken to like crap by staff. One in particular was very rude and not professional one bit, yes a complaint was made but was brushed under the carpet like nothing happened so clearly great management there too, don’t care about their customers as this one member of staff has reportedly made a few people I know feel uncomfortable by giving out death stares and just generally poor attitude.

When I went to get fish and chips for tea one of the staff members knew me from years ago and she spread my private business with all the other members of staff and with the manager so when I phoned up to make a complaint the manager knew who I was talking about and knew my private business and she was reluctant to give me my food and said are you planning on coming here every Friday I just ignored her and walked out so please be aware when you go in the chip shop for your food as they will know your business. When you spend nearly £30 each time you go in you expect a bit of respect.

Just had take away from the Redruth shop to eat on the sea front at Portreath. Still nice hot when we got to the beach , crispy battered fish and great chips . Well worth the drive.

Had lunch here after getting fed up waiting for the place we were going to visit down the road to open. And what can I say, amazing service from the moment we walked in the door by an attentive waitress. We had starters, mains, desserts and drinks. All was cooked perfectly, fish flaked away and melted in the mouth. All portion sizes were spot on. Definitely be back!

Just had a takeaway from sanders and normally I've always had a nice meal but today it was not nice at all. I had chicken burger, chips and curry sauce. The chips could of done with another 5 minutes as they were pale and a bit undercooked, the chicken burger was not worth the money, when I opened it up it had a dollop of mayo and one piece of limp soggy brown lettuce. I know chip shops are suffering at the moment with costs etc but if they take a bit of pride in their products maybe they'll keep the customers coming back.

Whoever cook the fish & chips today 18th May2022 got my fish & Chips at 12:30, a takeaway, it tasted different and the curry sauce wasn't the same as last week. Also found 6 bones in my fish. The standards Of service staff was good. But the chef needs talking too, not cooking right .

I was looking forward to a takeaway fish and chips but for just under£16the chips were pale and just warm.(The staff very pleasant) The fish the same just warm and seemed mainly .batter.l am not a complainer but this rare treat was so disappointing .

We had lunch here today after an aborted attempt down the road; glad we came here. Very impressed with the food, fish was cooked just right, nice and fresh. Chips fair enough, could have been a bit crispier but we did get stuck behind everything...

Over priced dry fish,very small portion for the price.too much old tasting batter,anaemic chips that taste like powder.very dissatisfied.had one chip and a bite of fish and couldn't eat it as it was disgusting and now I feel ill.never again.
