Have been going to san san for over 25 years. Ordered via food hub, had crispy chilli chicken & chips, chicken was tough, over cooked and very crispy, chips were too crispy, they too were over cooked. Can’t believe Kay would send food out like this, told Food Hub, they are not interested. Update December 2023. Kay contacted me to apologise and she sorted us out, we have continued to use San San since the incident and the food has been back up to their normal very high standards

Absolutely awful inedible food. 1st time I’ve been here because the Chinese we normally use was closed! Spent £48 on food to get home and find the BBQ ribs burnt to a crisp! We could smell the burnt smell as soon as we opened them! The salt and chilli prawns tasted like it had a full pot of salt tipped over and the smallest prawns in a thick coat of batter! BBQ pork and bean sprouts the sauce was so dark and rich and slimy. Chips was cold and the rice was cold and rubbery. The chicken sweet and sour Cantonese had hardly any sauce on and didn’t even taste like sweet and sour. I rang the Chinese back up and the lady was rude an not wanting to refund my money because her business would be out of pocket (her words) yet we’re £48 down and still got a hungry family that we need to spend more money on somthing else. She then said she will refund us 50% of our bill! When I got to the Chinese to collect my refund with the food bagged up to hand her back she put her hand up to me and said I don’t want to hear it put the money on the counter and took the food off me and put it in the bin! The best place for the food! I wouldn’t even feed it to my dog. Very rude!!

Absolutely vile food! The chips are steak chips with no flavour, the sweet and sour sauce tastes like washing up liquid and is all slimey, the salt and pepper chicken isn’t like the chicken pieces from a normal Chinese, I thought their salt and pepper dishes were their specialty but it tastes like they’ve just banged a load of spices together and hoped for the best. Only used this Chinese as my usual isn’t open on a Monday but never ever again! If you’re looking to order a banging Chinese use Tung Fong cause you’ll just waste your dolla here.

Order accepted for cash circa £50. Later message received saying order cancelled as not pre-paid SUGGEST OWNER DOESN'T ACCEPT OR ALLOW CASH ORDERS THEN ON THEIR WEBSITE Ordered elsewhere thank you, no problems YOUR LOSS

Woman who took our order absolute clueless, missed our main dish then tried to blame myself because we were not charged for it, no apology at all, will not be going back.

We love the food, always happy every time. We have tried lots of takeaways but this is our favourite. We will keep coming back thanks San San gardens

Every time we eat here , the meal appears a lot faster than the time specified . It’s always red hot and very tasty . The curry sauce is a bit too strong but apart from that I would definitely recommend the food and service of this Chinese

Food was vile covered in chilli powder wasnt edible 4 people all couldn't eat it

Ordered here, they didn't even send the chicken balls we paid for. Lady told me she would do the refund, never came. The curry sauce is insanely spicy, way more than any Chinese I've ever had, unedible. Satay chicken had 0 peanut butter taste, watery. Wings coated in batter, also had to bin.

Never again gristle in pork ball and black.spare ribs smelt and couldnt eat eat

The food arrived very quickly. But the positives end there. The food was bland. The sweet and sour chicken didn't have enough sauce and there were dry patches on the chicken. It's safe to say that my search for a good quality Chinese takeaway continues.

Usually enjoy this place. However latest order not great. Items missing & the portion of roast chicken & chips was pathetic. Satay chicken good though. Free prawn crackers which is fine but I'd rather have had the missing item I'd paid for.

Been ordering from here for about a year and it's always great. My only criticism is that the sweet and sour sauce tastes strongly of ginger. Always very quick with delivery too and very polite.

Terrible place for food. Should be shut down. Awful staff awful food. Stay away. Needs. Visit from environmental health regarding food standard and purchasing/ obtaining methods especially the duck.

Found a hair in my food. Called them to tell them and they basically called me a liar. They demanded I take the food back to them, I couldn't as I had small children with me. They then sent their delivery driver to my house who was verbally abusive. Never ever use this take away. Atrocious. The food is also poor!

Really amazing experience, beautiful and succulent food absolutely loved it. Delivery was really quick and on time, and food was piping hot. The staff are polite, friendly and just pleasant to speak too. I high would highly recommend San San Gardens to anyone!
