Great vegetarian food but never open on time

Food is extremely nice definitely worth having. Service is top notch but waiting requires improvement even just alittle music would help.

Food was absolutely amazing. One of my new favourite Chinese takeouts now.

This was probably the worse Chinese I have ever had and for what it was, expensive too! The crispy seaweed was not crispy or salty but soggy. The sweet and sour chicken balls had a thick and what tasted like uncooked batter inside, but by far the worst was the spare ribs, biting into one to find the meat was green/grey and tasted funny 🤢 I really REALLY do hope the food I’ve consumed hasn’t made me unwell… I would advise picking another Chinese takeaway as we won’t be ordering from them again!

Food did not even turn up, when I rang up to ask why staff were very unhelpful and told me 15 minutes. It still had not arrived by 15 mins

Tasty food, prices reasonable Helen is a nice lady who knows customer service really well and her hubby is sure the best cook. They have lots of halal/ vegetarian options. Whatever you want to eat Don't forget to order salt pepper chips.

Absolutely awful. Salt and pepper tofu was absolutely solid and dry and overcooked, and only about 5 pieces in the container, the chow mein was tasteless, the curry was bland, and it was all cold despite arriving quite quickly. Massively disappointing.

We always order from here & have for yrs the food is great & portions are a good size & food always without fail arrived hot & order always correct never had a problem from them at all & haven’t ordered from anywhere else for yrs & moved a few times & still they remember their customers you can’t go wrong would rather go without if we can’t order from here.

The food had obviously been reheated more than once. I had to throw away the sweet and sour prawns and chicken and most of my order. Greasy and burnt, inedible!!! I won’t be ordering from them again!!

I was hoping after spending 23pounds I would maybe get some prawn crackers with my food very disappointed,

I went in and didn't know what to order. I spoke to Simon who was at the front and he recommended some dishes to me based on what I was feeling. I ordered the Salt and Pepper fish, chow mein and spring rolls. I can honestly say the food was delicious. Enough for me and my family, the customer service was great and Simon is a very funny guy and my food all came out within 5-10 minutes of being there. Would definitely recommend to all! Thanks China Garden!

I was not pleased with the quality of the food. It was not up to standard. Will not be ordering from here again.

Awful they expect my order had me wait over an hour then said they couldn’t deliver so now I’m not receiving my dinner and got to wait 10 days to get the refund for the food they wouldn’t deliver

I appreciate the staff in China taste, they always willing to change things If you ask for me chinese food isn't spicy so I'll ask for the noodles and stuff to be spicy and they'll happily do it just how she changes what noodles I have as I perfer a certain one so a big thank you to all at china taste

Really nicely seasoned. Even the Prawn toast is done on nice bread with a hint of spring onion and sweet chilli flavour

Great take-away. Some really yummy dishes that were reasonably priced. Have tried a few different ones in nottingham and this is the best one. Will definitely go back. Service was great also!

Order the Chicken Fried Rice and the Sweet and Sour Pork. The Sweet a Sour Pork was not enjoyable, do not recommend ordering this. Super quick collection time. Decent price and decent quantity.

Awful quality food. We didn’t eat it in the end because it was so bad. Spent £35 quid on some prawn crackers essentially… Not sure what happened as we’ve ordered here before and it was fine. Won’t be ordering here again though.

I ordered tonight, quite a substantial meal across the menu. From starters to Mains with a few appetisers thrown in. I will say that generally quality was appalling. We stuck with our meal hoping for it to get better but unfortunately it got worse with every dish. I phoned the restaurant to complain and they just told us to complain to Uber eats the delivery company. No ownership to their dreadful food. If I had to leave one final comment please do not waste your money.

Food still as nice as it was when I last ordered from here. Fresh and very tasty. Substantial servings. Fast delivery.

The best Chinese takeaway in Nottingham.

Never normally have issue with this restaurant but door was cold when it arrived at the driver was so late

I really liked my order, my food was made the way I wanted it to. My additional note was taken on board.. apart from the utensils I requested for, chopsticks

Prompt service Generous portions Lemon sauce little too tangy for my palate but chicken well cooked - crispy with no grease

Very tasty and well presented food will definitely order again even though two very large pieces of chicken in the curry were slightly underdone (only because they were just too big) the quality of the rest of the meal made up for it.

This place used to be so much better than this! Salt and pepper squid chewy and over crunchy. I got the impression it had been sat around a while. Singapore fried rice is full of chillies. Had we known this, we would have avoided it! Description said hot and spicy and had a chilli symbol to show it but nothing actually said contains chilli. We ended up wasting half of it despite having gravy on it. I ended up just finishing the prawn crackers (the one redeeming feature) and my friend made crumpets!

sometimes when i order just beef and gravy for kids i still receive beef and vegetables in gravy ( peppers onions ginger ext) i do like it but it for kids and i dont like to fish veg out from gravy. they just dont eat when saw “green stuff” in it.... thats a bit disappointed due i put correctly but received regular beef and pepers order..... it makes me think it’s already pre made and just warmed up in microwave and zero effort given to make just beef and gravy. Apart of that food very nice and delicious!!! happy me hungry kids 🤦‍♂️

Best oriental food in Nottingham...end of!

On the site the following meal it advises has tofu ---> Stir Fried Bamboo Shoots & Chinese Mushrooms with tofu and my wife was very very disappointed it actually contained NO tofu whatsoever, and the reason she chose this meal was solely because of the tofu. That happening made it an unpleasant experience for all of us as we were supposed to enjoy it all together, and all she got was virtually a tray full of bamboo shoots and mushrooms.....Also the egg fried rice was more like just fried rice as we could not see the egg in it. The chicken meal and the beef meal were just OK as well as the chips, if you truly value your customers reviews I would suggest a little less liquid on the meals and actually serve what is advertised, I ate egg fried rice from other restaurants and I can actually see bits of egg on the rice (eggs are not expensive at all. I am truly sorry for this review but is the actual truth, I will nt be ordering from this restaurant/takeaway again... Sorry!

Delivery time wasn’t great was late but I rang and they explained it was busy because of New Year’s Eve, always order from here and food is always great! Thank you for the free chicken balls too!

Good vegetarian options - crispy duck wraps, black bean tofu, mushroom rice. Would recommend for other vegetarians. Mushroom Curry wouldnt recommend.

Even knowing that the food was delivered on time I can tell you as well that the food wasn’t freshly made tonight...

Food was delivered sooner than expected but, unfortunately, the Kung Po Chicken was chewy with sauce that was more runny than I’ve ever experienced before. And the Mixed Vegetables with Cashew Nuts wasn’t to my taste - didn’t taste particularly fresh or flavoursome. Overall rather disappointing as the restaurant was recommended to me. But the delivery guy was very friendly and personable.

Arrived early, which was nice. Coating on salt and pepper prawns and squid hard so may have been sat around a bit. King prawn curry just the right spice level and Cantonese duck lovely and meat not chewy with lots of sauce. Lovely mix of veg in veg rice and great to see water chestnuts! Didn’t have apple fritters so called us to arrange banana instead. Prawn crackers were unusually sweet but nice, especially with the curry!

Get the chicken balls and I can guarantee you'll be a regular customer! 👌

They actually delievered despite just eating saying they wouldn't. Very enjoyable food aswell and the lady on the phone was very friendly and reassured us about the food being vegan.

Not very tasty food. Had prawn chow mein.... Prawns were rubbery and perhaps just defrost had weird taste to it. Sauce & noodles were not good quality :( Wouldn't order here again.. Only accepting cash at the store
