Had lunch on Saturday, 70% occupancy rate, waiter service was good, polite and quick to serve. Food quality is average, 3 people ate £67

Thoroughly enjoyed Chinese New Year and shall be returning next year, if not before.

Me and my other half had a lovely meal here. We were staying in Notts for a few days and thought we would visit here. To be fair, we have been before. We had steamed dim sum, which was lovely, and the calamari. Both were lovely. My boyfriend asked for a recommendation, and the lady said this duck dish on the bone. I had fillet steak in black pepper sauce. We had 1 egg fried each, but I think 1 between us would have been enough. Overall the meal was really nice and it had a relaxing atmosphere. Our food and drinks came out in good time and the staff were friendly ;)

Proper Chinese restaurant busy on the weekends. A must visit if you want authentic cuisine. Dim Sum lunch is a must.

I'm a regular customer and love this restaurant. Have been drinking tea for many years. But today, the service we received was terrible. An auntie was very rude to me and my family. She had no manners. We asked for chamomile tea, but she said we didn't explain clearly enough and scolded us, calling me "Pujie". i was shocked I'm a regular customer, I love it here! I've been coming for years. But today, the service was pretty bad for some reason. One of the older ladies (long hair and glasses) was so rude to us, we didn't understand what was the matter. We asked for chamomile tea, but she came and said we were not speaking clearly enough and then swore at us. We were really shocked.

I dined at Man’s for a birthday celebration with a big group of family & friends…the restaurant was empty but we were treated like it was an inconvenience to the staff for us to be there…other than welcoming our custom. Food was pretty much thrown at us and everything we asked for was greeted with a grunt. The food is certainly not worth tolerating the awful attitude you receive from the staff.

There are no restaurants in the area where I live, so wherever I go to a place that offers tea and dim sum🫖, even if the food is not really excellent and the quality is just average, I always have a great time😄!

The dim sum is really good and authentic cantonese, so it just sold out very quickly. Not much picture was taken because we were too eager to start eating.

Best dimsum in Nottingham hands down

We ate here last night , there was as a strange uncomfortable atmosphere, we witnessed a table of 4 walking out after being ignore . The staff seemed to be very unhappy being there, they were very uninterested and a bit abrupt and rude Slamming and banging about. The main course was super salty other than that quite tasteless , I requested a portion of plain noodles to go with my main, a mountain of luke warm dry noodles appeared . It was definitely not a pleasant experience , we will not be returning . There is a reason why the restaurant was almost empty on a Saturday night ?

When we tried to order roasted ducks, we were informed by the waitress that the price had increased, which wasn't updated on the menu. Despite our clear request for a boneless roasted duck, as listed on the menu, the staff served us lobster, claiming we ordered it. The waitress refused to change the dish, insisting we had to accept it. Our insistence on the duck led to a waiter eventually replacing the lobster with the roasted duck we originally requested. However, this mix-up and poor service spoiled our dining experience, leading us to decide not to return due to the disappointing service.

Drinks very expensive and lacking atmosphere...good food

Trip up to Nottingham from Bristol, booked for large party as friends birthday. Very disappointed in the service, had to chase a few dishes after being brought everything out. Some food was really nice, other dishes were OK. Got overcharged after struggling to get staff attention. Not the cleanest of places and in need of a bit of tlc.

Love to sit down in a Chinese, what a great meal and got busy the later qe were their. My only let down was that dimsum finished about 4.30 🥺 so we missed it, the food was great and staff were on the ball, we didn't wait or have to ask for anything.

Had 10 of us for dim sum. They were great and accommodating as usual. My go-to when I come to Notts.

Awful - it's the only acceptable word for both the service and the food quality. Charged £11 for fried pak choi, when ordered stir fried vegetables and couldn't believe it. Food we received was all overcooked and just simply awful. Honestly avoid at all cost.

Amazing Dim Sum for lunch - wide range of authentic Hong Kong classics

Probably the worst non dining experience that I have ever had. There are multiple menus on the window of the restaurant, probably a red flag in itself, with some tempting Cantonese dishes. However, when we sat down at our table we were presented with a menu with none of the dishes that initially attracted us. The tablecloth was also very stained and although apparently clean was obviously not changed regularly, probably just wiped over, although a 5 star hygiene rating was displayed at the front of the restaurant . My wife and I thought, ok let’s try and find something as being Chinese she was looking forward to some good Cantonese cuisine. We ordered some dishes and wine and water. The wine list gave no indication of the provenance of the wine, another red flag I shouldn’t have ignored. The wine arrived and to be frank seemed to be watered down, it was frankly terrible. We were then advised that the starter we ordered wasn’t available, we selected another dish and were then told that yet another dish wasn’t available. At this point with the poor hygiene, stained tablecloths, terrible drinks and obvious complete lack of care of the restaurant we decided to cut our losses and leave as the likelihood of receiving some decent food seemed extremely unlikely. We did offer to pay for the wine and water as we felt bad that for the first time ever we had to leave a restaurant without eating and they happily accepted payment, even though the wine was barely touched. Please avoid this restaurant, they just don’t care and have absolutely no consideration for their clients or it seems their reputation. The food if anything like the wine and service would have been terrible so for the sake of £15.00 we had a lucky escape.

Surprise authentic Chinese food in Nottingham

Not a dim sum for about 6 months as our local restaurant closed down, and our our normal Nottingham Dim Sum haunt closes on a Thursday so we tried Mann and it was very good. Staff were a bit random some you could ask and get nothing others you would get it within 30 seconds, overall staff were friendly and helpful when you consider 95% of the dinners were Chinese but they did soon realise we knew our Dim Sum.

Went today both the rice and noodles that were ordered to come out with the main course came much later and only after we asked where they were. Staff were friendly enough but the atmosphere was one of disorganisation

One of the better Chinese restaurants in the east Midlands. The one in town does the lunchtime menu, so booking is a must. Good portion sizes. Great staff and the atmosphere is sound

Service wasn't efficient but the waiting staff tried their best I guess. The majority of the dishes were okay. Pak choi was overcooked. The mange tout was undercooked. One dish was far from its intended flavour (too sweet when it should be savoury) that two thirds was uneaten. This was Friday at 7.30pm., a peak time for diners, but the restaurant was less than half full. If only they employ a proper Cantonese cuisine chef instead of a Spitting Image one. I wouldn't say our dinner was ruined, but it could have been so much better....pity.

Wow...... this place has really gone down hill. Poor quality of food, ingredients Poor hygiene from staff who had on gloves. Which they then used to wipe their nose. This place was empty.

Birthday ruined. Please never visit. I booked with 10 of my friends to celebrate a birthday. I had bought cake and balloons earlier on in the day. Arrived and had to ask balloons to be brought out and they never bought the cake out. They gave it back to me in a plastic bag as I was leaving without any sort of apology. The service is absolutely diabolical, they forgot drinks orders, the food was cold, we were waiting 20+ minutes for drinks they did remember. The staff are so so rude and wanted us gone. We were the only table in the restaurant at 8pm- says it all. People had traveled very far for this meal and you managed to disappoint every single one of us and embarrass myself for organising it there. This place and the staff are a joke. Said an undeserving thankyou as I left and got completely blanked. Waste waste waste.

I liked this restaurant from the moment we walked in the door. Friendly staff, nice decor, very accommodating. The food was cooked to perfection and we were not kept waiting. I will definitely visit again the next time I go to Nottingham.

Found this restaurant online due to staying in the area for the night recently. We arrived at our hotel at 7.30 and rang restaurant for a table - we were seated by 8.30. It is quite noisy so if your after quiet ask to sit out of main area. We ordered our food and it was out within 5 minutes which seemed very fast. You have to pay for prawn crackers which is unlike our Chinese restaurants. No fortune cookie either Food was average, service fine Overall would say 6/10

Been there few times for teas was all good. But the Chinese food was rubbish. They brought cold rice to us and said it was fresh cooked. Rediculous

I decided to take myself out for a nice dim sum lunch and I wish I had gone to one of my usual spots where I'm not discriminated against. It was obvious when I walked in that I wasn't their "usual type of customer " I sat down and filled out my dim sum order and waited. They brought me the wrong dish and I got an attitude from the woman when I informed them of it. Another dish I ordered never came but by that time I just wanted to pay and get out of there. Clearly didn't like my appearance and didn't feel the need to treat me kindly yet took my money like it was the same as anyone else's. Did I tip? Hell no!

We booked a table for 8 people to celebrate a birthday on 17th Feb at 7.30pm. When we arrived the restaurant was closed and in complete darkness. No sign of life and no notice on the door. I tried to telephone and there was no answer, no option to leave a message either. So I emailed for an explanation and still no answer. This was very unprofessional and unacceptable. Man’s… your loss was Las Iguanas gain. We will never even try to come back. No way to treat your customers.

We pre-booked here to celebrate a big birthday and regretted it. The service was shocking, no welcome on arrival, no friendless or smiles just pointing and had to keep asking for them to come over. When ordering drinks they didn’t have much stock and again had to keep chasing up as well as having to ask multiple times for dishes that were missing. Half of the table had finished there food before the other even arrived and when it did it wasn’t anything special. There was not enough food for the amount of people ordered on the set menu, it was cold and majority of it was onion and found a hair in the rice which just topped it off.

Rubbish. Booked ahead for a Chinese New Year treat - kids looking forward to it and we'd been incredibly busy with work that day. What a let down. We were left waiting for an hour with hungry (but well-behaved) children in a restaurant not even half full. They did have a very busy take-out operation going on though, which is clearly more important to them. Awful food. As a lover of gongbaojiding, I was gutted to be served a dish containing 50% boiled carrots, no chilli, and about four soggy bits of cashew nut with no apparent gongbao seasoning - a sprinkle of white pepper at best. I'd been looking forward to the duck on the bone too but it was luke warm when it reached the table - perhaps explained by the hour long wait. Appalling - worst Chinese food I've had in the UK. Asked to speak to the manager but never saw them. Don't waste your money here.

I had a severe reaction to the fried squid even though I don’t have an Msg allergy and have never had a food reaction in my life. I guess they must use a ridiculous amount of msg… so be careful ordering the fried and battered food here. Also the service is horrible and the food is massively overpriced. Much better off at Zap Thai street food restaurant opposite …

First time here and OMG the food was the best chinese ive ever tasted. more expesive than normal but worth paying for. would go again for sure.

I live in Leicester and consider myself very keen and enthused in dim sum as there are excellent eateries in Leicester. However my sister took me for lunch on December 5th and I have to say I will certainly visit again the dim sum variety was all delicious including the paper wrapped prawns.the service was first class although it was a little quiet probably due to the date and time we visited but I will certainly be visiting again

Visited here due to the reviews we saw on trip advisor and wish we hadn't. Ordered Crispy duck to start, and it was so crispy we don't think there was any fresh duck in the dish. It seemed to be just skin and very dried duck. For mains, we had the duck in plum sauce that was lovely, but the crispy chilli beef didn't seem to be containing much beef. The staff didn't seem to be bothered with their very few customers, and we were not asked if everything was okay. Couldn't fault the prawn crackers, but there was nothing special about the special rice, and the Singapore rice noodles were overcooked and without any spice. We felt everything was overpriced, and we will definitely not be returning or recommending this restaurant to anyone.

I would recommend ordering the turnip paste cake, shrimp and pork dumplings and the beef stir-fry with the wide noodle. All very tasty.

We arrived, the restaurant looked tired, the main light was not on. We were asked abruptly it we were having “dim sum”. When the waitress returned there is only one way to describe her as just completely RUDE, she took our order with no smile, poor body language, we felt we were an inconvenience. The food quality was so poor we finished our starters and cancelled our order. Never again will we return, we have been visiting the restaurant since 2016!!

The food is good here. Very much like the dim sum we are used to eating. They ran out of shrimp dumplings which isn’t a big deal as we came late. Speaking of which, we waited about 15 minutes for a table when we arrived for late lunch (around 2:30pm). We were fine with waiting as we weren’t hungry (we had a late breakfast). When we paid, since we are not used to the non-tipping culture in the UK, it was interesting to be told the total and then presented with the machine to pay. There was no tipping prompt like in Toronto restaurants (especially no prompt for a 30% tip). I was able to use my American Express in Apple Pay. I would come again if presented with the opportunity.

Spacious restaurant, round tables available for people gathering, but the tastes of meal are just enough. The staff recommended special dishes for us, but it was not good as she said. Don't be early arrived, it opens at 5pm.

Food nice but service appalling. Had crispy duck starter which was very good however my main arrived -10 minutes and no plate had to ask for one. My partners main arrived 15 minutes later by which time I had finished my main shame as food was nice 🙁

There are many good Indian restaurants just off the top of Maid Marion Way but I decided to try Chinese for a change. On entry it’s surprising how large and grand looking the place is and I was happy to see that the bulk of the diners were Orientals. Always a good start. But the so-called welcome was lacking and on the edge of rude and indifferent. Initially they tried to seat me at what was probably the worst table in the room (I was on my own that night) but when I declined they allowed me to sit elsewhere. It was far from the best Chinese food I have eaten but there again certainly nothing special either. The waiters made little contact, just silently placing food on the table, and as they tended to be older I wonder if it was because they spoke little English. It certainly seemed so. As I say there is nothing bad here but nothing that makes me want to rush back either. And not cheap either. I will explore others places next time I’m in Nottingham.

Quite authentic Guangdong dimsum. The kitchen and the service are very efficient, and the quality of the cooking is still very good. The only concern is that prices have gone up so much lately.

Excellent food! They provide very very authentic Cantonese food (proven by me who is a native HK person). Friendly staff. Although slightly pricey, it's certainly worth it! Our family goes here regularly for dim sum and dinner, both are amazing! Strongly recommended. Remember to book a table in advance as it's a busy restaurant.

A true Dim Sum and Wine Bar in the heart of Nottingham. The food was top notch, some of the best Dim Sum I’ve had in a long time. This place was packed from the moment it opened. I’ve never seen a place so busy....

Rude staff,treated like dogs,only had half a sauce because another half got lost in the air when she threw my plate on table. Food was probably dug out from 2012 frozen batch and their whole kitchen team is probably dealing with covid side effects because food tasted like wet paper or used mouldy swamp socks. Also appreciate their fair prices,because I went to Gordon Ramsay's restaurant in Mayfair and paid the same amount. Thank you

Extremely overpriced, charged 10% service charge for no signs of service,food absolutely atrocious, wouldn't even give it to a homeless person. Go to local bin and you'll get better food.

Real Hong Kong style dim sum and foods, delicious and look really nice, sure will go again.

It is an authentic dim sum restaurant but for a Chinese person, it could be better. I would recommend fried squid and Har Gao. But not the porridge, I was very disappointed by the porridge. Not the best in Nottingham but considered to above average for UK Chinese restaurant. Personally, I will go to another restaurant for Dim Sum in Nottingham.

Visited on the 28th January (this being my third visit) to this restaurant The food and staff were excellent on all three visits and I will definitely be returning The set meal for two is excellent value for money and I would highly recommend this...

We are only offered the lunch menu which was limited but cheap, the soup was really nice, partner had the Malaysian fish curry which was ok, I had lemon chicken, quite tough, service was good and restaurant has a nice vibe, wish we’d realised there...

Very poor service and the dim sums have gone downhill massively, some of the waitresses need to know the meaning of customer service and learn to smile once in a while!! Won't be returning anytime soon
