We were a party of 5 ladies on a birthday night out, arrived at 7.30 for our booking.we were seen by a girl with dark hair who desperately needs a course on customer service, she was rude and apparently didn’t know how to smile. We ordered wine and water whilst we were waiting for two of our group to arrive which she brought to us, we then asked for two more glasses and after a long wait asked again, she said in a rude way that she was getting them. We ordered food and it arrived promptly and was lovely. The dark haired waitress then began clearing our table, leaning over us , no , can I clear the plates ladies, very rude. The sign on the door was changed to close at 9.15 and from then on we felt like the staff just wanted us to go home. We ordered dessert and more wine. After dessert was finished we still had wine to drink and were waiting for our husbands to arrive to take us home, we were still chatting and drinking wine and we noticed that the music had been turned off and the lights near the bar were turned off. Never felt so rushed in my life. I went out side to see if our husbands had arrived and was just about to re-enter the restaurant when I saw the head waitress, girl with blonde hair shrug her shoulders and lift her hands and say some obscenities to her other waitress. How rude. Such a shame as the food was lovely. We will never go there again. We normally go to the flethchers arms , but thought it would be a nice change, how wrong we were. Back to the fletchers arms where the service is second to none.

The food was excellent . The service not so good. The restaurant was quiet for a weekend. We were literally pushed out just before 10 pm. The waitresses turned the music off then started to turn lights off and made us feel really uncomfortable. They were happy to take a service charge of over £18 though. As soon as we were out the front door they were out the side door. I go regularly to San Rremo and was embarrassed to have my friends treated this way. Won’t be back.

Fresh & tasty Italian food, great staff, good atmosphere! There is a half price offer on a lot of the menu through July so we thought we would try somewhere new! The staff were welcoming and friendly. We were sat right near the bar which had so many drinks options, we were amazed at the choice even if we couldn’t make use of it (driving). There was a bit of a delay on the food due to them being a chef down that night but we really weren’t bothered by that! The staff kept on apologising and updating us on the wait time but it was well worth the wait! My food was perfectly cooked and seasoned and it all tasted very fresh. I think even the fussiest of eaters would be able to find something with their menu choices. We all can’t wait to go back!

Came tonight as a party of 6, staff were so lovely and made sure our visit was great. Food was tasty and everything was on par. Will definitely be going back.

being a local business owner myself 7burgers i thought i would give it a try my family has been in the restaurant trade since 1950s and i had many restaurants myself which were very successful due to very hard work dedication and experience . excellent food and great service waiter leon was by far a warm welcomer with great personality thank you for a nice evening will be back with full fam

We had a nice surprise on arrival last night to find out that the food was half price. Its obviously a winter mid week offer. It was our first visit and the place had a nice welcoming atmosphere and the food was excellent. The staff and service also great. We'll be back.

So very disappointed tonight, the food was slow to come out,forgetting the garlic bread,and although the ribs were ok,they had obviously been over cooked in the oven, but the main concern was the cannoli was over cooked and was filled with what I can only describe as frozen mince! Pasty,wheat tasting and flavourless, bloody awful—I could not eat it—and returned it I’ve been coming for many years,and it seems to get worse every time I call in

Not the best, very small pizzas. Possibly undercooked and very possibly store bought/frozen bases. It’s not the same place I fondly remembered 20+ years ago.

Very impressed with everything staff attentive but not overbearing food lovely they were 10 of us and everyone enjoyed there food will defiantly return thank you

Been here before and really enjoyed the food. The ribs used to be one of the best around. This time though the food was bland. Chicken was luke warm and the sticky sauce on the ribs was more like heavy. Very disappointed.

Service was great. Ribs for starters were amazing, fell off the bone. Asked for a medium rare steak, it was well done which was disappointing. Also quite small and sauce would be better on the side. Could do with some more roasts too.

Very disappointed, the food was good but the portion sizes were small and therefore quite expensive. My husband had a pizza which was tasty but a child size portion. The staff were lovely and service was good as there were very few customers (6pm). Only found out about the 10% service charge for 6+ people printed on front of menu, this should be optional. Definitely not value for money and not much atmosphere for a Christmas eve, crackers on the table would have been a nice gesture. We would probably not return

Brandon was an amazing host for my mother in law's birthday. Food was excellent and atmosphere was warm and friendly throughout our meal. Overall I fully recommend it to anyone.

Booked here for special meal for my sons 10th Birthday, I booked via Facebook messenger and my booking was all confirmed. However from the moment we walked in we had a feeling it was not going to be a great experience when the waitress had no record of our booking! After a lot of sighing and running backwards and forwards she finally seated us on a table for 4 (there were 5 of us!) by the door and one of us had to squash on the end of the table not ideal. When I say she 'seated us' I mean she barked at us "just sit there". What a lovely way to treat your customers! So currently this month they are doing a 50% off food offer which would be great if they had actually had enough staff to deal with how busy they were, which I assume was due to this 50% offer. Surely if you put on an offer like this you should expect to be VERY busy and to staff accordingly...Not San Remo- 2 waitresses on with a full restaurant. Service was slow and very poor. Not welcoming at all, very abrupt and verging on rude when our orders were taken. Food was very slow to arrive around a 45 min wait for main course which when it did arrive food was bought out one plate a time which meant that 2 of us had almost finished by the time the rest of us got our meals. The garlic bread we ordered to come with the mains arrived just as we had pretty much finished eating! The absolute one and only plus was that the food was actually really nice when it did arrive. However, there are plenty of better places for great Italian food and good ambience in the area and the extremely poor service mean I would never consider returning here!

Haven't been for a long while, but OMG been twice recently. Food, service, staff, atmosphere 10 out of 10. Will be back again soon. Thank you x

Went there for a meal last night we all had peppered fillet steak ..the meal was great but the portions of veg were so small not happy and maybe will dine elsewhere..veg portions were very poor sad to say 😢

Check your booking details for additional service charge... we were told 10% charge for parties of 6+ at billing point but their own website says they MAY charge 10% but only for parties of 8+. Might have paid this anyway but that should be my choice. Food OK at best and we were the only customers that night. No complimentary limonchelos etc at the end. Waiter wanted an early finish and made sure he got one! Been before when owner was present and the whole experience was so much better. Based on this visit I won't be returning and would not recommend.

Went for a birthday meal 3rd August which was recommended to us but had the most awful meal ever here! had the canneloni which was like mush and no pasta! might have disintegrated? steak was well done after asking for medium, portion sizes were very small! overall disappointed and wont go there again!! 1 out 10

After visiting yesterday afternoon after many years away,I can pleasently say it was a great meal,service was friendly and efficient

My husband and I went in on a Friday evening for payday date night and we had such a good time! The wait staff were so lovely and attentive, and even a couple of the kitchen staff said 'hello' and 'goodbye'. The food was, in a word: stunning! My husband's steak (he ordered it rare) was perfection - he likes his steak and even he said it was the best he's ever had (I had a bite and it was melt-in-the-mouth delicious!) The tiramisu was the lightest, fluffiest thing I've ever had - its richness wasn't reliant on being doused in cream either, which I really appreciate. And it makes it all the nicer when the gentleman who's poured your wine grins and says "yeah? I made that!" We're a little torn between keeping this place to ourselves, and telling everyone we know about it. Regardless, we will be coming back to San Remo 🖤

Left a review like a week ago but it got deleted for some reason. Food was lovely as always, had a few cocktails for £7 and they were amazing too, perfect for the hot weather we had couple weeks ago!! New manager was very welcoming, helped us pick our mains and said there’s a new menu coming up very soon we can’t wait to be back ….xx highly recommend not been in a few months and you can tell they have made improvements with food and restaurant appearance overall x

Lovely food, the young girl and waiter were very nice to us they the AC for us as it was pretty hot inside. Ribs were so tasty!! Must try them!! My daughter has autism and she’s very shy sometimes but the young waiter was very nice to her, made her day really. Will be coming back xx

This is our favourite Italian restaurant. Food is always hot, fresh and tasty and the service is brilliant. Reasonably priced menu with a wide choice. Drinks are also well priced. Lovely staff - would highly recommend

Had a meal here for my grand daughters 14th birthday and from booking the table some months earlier to leaving the restaurant on the night of the meal everything went smoothly. Staff were excellent and the food was fab. Thank you for a great family experience

Without doubt the worst Italian meal, I have had to pay for, washed down with a can of carling. The cannelloni was like a muddy mush rapped up in overcooked pasta, surrounded by a sauce that made asdas own look like Michelin star quality!

Excellent service, food was outstanding highly recommended.

Our favourite place, I have always had a great meal, although a nearby diner didn't enjoy their steak, they were offered a replacement. Best tiramisu around.

Of old, we used to frequent San Remo, but from the say past few years, myself and my wife have been disappointed with the food...the last time we was there the steak I ordered wasn't even seasoned...shame because it used ro be our favourite, but sorry San Remo, 3 strikes from me means no more.

Having been a regular here for many years I feel I must express my disappointment at the Xmas day meal.The staff were overall good in a busy restaurant but we were left feeling the whole thing was disorganized.The spare rib starter,my normal go to was undercooked and fatty .Others in our party were also let down.Having new cutlery between courses being placed unceremoniously as a pile in the middle of the table did not endear us.Presentation of the main course was like a school dinner and at the end of the meal we were asked if we had paid a deposit or pre paid in full.Neither of which we had done.Not the best way to spend £350.

We used to come to San Remo as children when we lived in the area and thought we'd come back for a visit as we always loved it there. It definitely didn't disappoint. The staff were very friends, the value is amazing and the food was incredible. I highly recommend getting a pudding! Thank you for having us last week.

We love this restaurant ! Amazing quality food, especially the ribs!! We have been going for over 10 years and never have the standards slipped! My friend who's birthday is was booked San Remo for 4 of her friends, we have all been coming here for a few years, we got our drinks fairly quick, it was 2 hours before we got our Mains, it was over an hour before 2 of us got our starter, food wasn't all that good, we got an extra bottle of wine and 3 coffee's to say sorry, but they said "we had a lot of walk ins" surely they should have served the people who have booked first. Will not return.

Food great as always but service was a bit slow. . We were a party of four and all our drinks and food came at different times. From the first meal to the last was about 10 minutes,drinks were roughly the same. Such a shame as this was our go to place to eat in Denton

Wasn't the cleanest of places. Was asked to order as soon as we sat down as they were busy 😱.When the food arrived it wasn't up to much. Ive had better lasagnes from Aldi at a fraction of the price. Certainly wont be recommending or returning there.

We were very disappointed with our visit to San Remo. The soup was little more than a small amount of hot water with a few bits of veg and the odd piece of pasta in the bottom of a soup dish, the garlic bread appeared to be void of garlic, and my steak Diane listed on the menu as sirloin, appeared of poor quality. and not what I expected as Steak Dian, more like Steak in a sweet gravy with some mushrooms added, . However the desert, was well presented and pleasantly flavoured. Other members of my party were just as disappointed with there meal and commented they left feeling hungry. The waiter service was poor and rushed, by several individuals casually dressed. The check on departure did not reflect the poor standard of our visit.

I visited recently with a group of friends, the food was gorgeous and the wine was lovely and very reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and helpful too.

My mum treated me & my. Family for my fifty second. Birthday, at San Remo restaurant in. Denton the food was excellent we where, looked after really well, the staff where Excellent, i would highly recommend to the. People of Denton. 😋

Me and my partner visited 6-5-22 for a table for two. Very nice place and friendly staff, food was amazing and even catered for me when I never seen the ribs on the starter menu but they made sure I had them. The girl behind the bar was fantastic making cocktails for us which my partner loved. The other girl working there was very nice too and made us welcome. We will be back as the food was amazing and so was the general feeling of the place.

We've loved this place for years but may now be looking for a new Italian place to eat at. The portion sizes have decreased massively to the point we ordered sides this time as well. Also, prices have risen quite significantly (and yes I know they have everywhere) but when the pasta is the same dried pasta I can buy in a supermarket, £10 for a dish with a bit of sauce, cheese, mushrooms and ham is expensive when there's not much of it. Service was lacking with the table being cleared whilst people were still eating. This could have been forgiven if the place was rammed - but it wasn't. I was surprised to be able to ring on a Friday night and get a table for 15 minutes later but after our visit, I can see why. Sorry San Remo but you're not what you once were!

Came to San Remo this evening for dinner and it was such an amazing restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. Waiters/waitresses all very friendly and helpful. Food was amazing and very reasonable prices too. We had a lovely evening and will definitely be back soon! Thank you :)

Meal was ok, could have been more food. What I didn’t like was having our plates cleared before we all finished. Also not impressed by the young lad serving who did not listen to what we ordered. Eg. Diet Coke he bought full sugar and hot fudge cake was cold. Clearing plates and cutlery away when we were sat within a couple of feet away. Made us feel we needs to leave. Not sure I would go again.

Absolutely love this place. I have been coming here since 2000 and the food has always been the best quality. Two little blips I can remember when there has been new chefs and they have tried to put their own individual spin on an already perfect menu. If it’s not broke don’t fix it! Glad to say it’s been a few years since there’s been a fixer. My only bug bear now is having to consistently ask for black pepper and Parmesan... when busy the waiters tend to swerve automatically asking if you want it and then you have to try to catch their attention which sort of spoils the experience. Definitely the best tasting Italian around! EDITED: I’ve had two take aways from here recently. Lesser quality products given to me. I’m unsure wether this is because it’s a takeaway and it’s harder to be challenged. Measly portion of pasta… come on… it’s cheap… it’s dried pasta. I’ve seen the pasta you use in the kitchens and stock room. No need to charge £9 for a takeaway hand full of pasta. It’s just cheeky. Another time I paid around £20 for a steak Diane and veg. On getting the meal home I found I’d been given a birdseye steam bag of mixed veg. I was absolutely gobsmacked. I complained and got a ‘sorry’ yes we should have told you. No offer of putting right the spoilt birthday meal. I feel quite insulted by the last two meals. Sad after 20 years but I think we’ll start checking other Italian restaurants out now

Do not order the King Prawn Spagetti. Prawns were small as well as portion. Prawns seemed like they were shop bought and defrosted there and then.

Visited San Remo for the first time recently and ordered olives which were past their best and quite soft. I also had the spaghetti gamberoni; the prawns were cooked well and the flavour was ok but the pasta was overcooked and almost white. The service was friendly enough but we won't be returning.

Had a great meal no faults at all with food or service .. 1st class 👏

My fillet steak hadn't had the sinew cut off so was very tough. The tiramisu was tasteless, no liqueur and hardly any cream. Very disappointing.

San Remo always have a good choice on the menu the food was hot and fresh and tasty They even accommodated me and I don't like Italian food nothing is to much trouble

Good selection of food in cozy surroundings with pleasant staff who are polite and cheerful. Enjoyed my meal which was reasonably priced and would return for another.

It an okay Italian food is okay, service to friends is good but others is slow, also check your bills for mistakes.

Finally we got back in the San Remo after a few months away. The food was excellent and the service was perfect. Really well run restaurant & friendly staff. Would always recommend!!!!
