Music too loud. It spoilt our night constantly saying ‘can you say that again’. On the whole food was good. Service could have been a tad better.

This is an unforgettable dinner for me, to celebrate my birthday, the staff are very nice and it’s surprise to have instrument playing when singing the birthday song, it’s so warm in the restaurant. Thank you Rose and Kate

Lovely food and staff. They do small portions of pasta main dishes. It doesn't say this on the menu. Very attentive staff who were really friendly. Only criticism was the music.....50s and 60s American pop, it didn't really match the Italian feel. We will definitely be back.

This place is a little gem! This restaurants food quality is another level. Having eaten in many well know local Italians in Saddleworth and larger chains in Manchester / Cheshire I can confidently say the food and service tops them all. They do an amazing pasta salmon dish which I just adore. There are weekly deals on the menu which are just delicious and such good value for money ! Sundays are the best with the most fantastic musician who sings and plays guitar, adding so much atmosphere to the venue. The team are Just so friendly, it really is sonewhere to visit if you haven't already tried. Can't wait until next time !

The food is okay, no issues there. but the restaurant menus where very dirty with black hand dirt all around the edges, sticky, wine marked and one of the groups had a lot grease inside, my one was burned in the corner as well. The plates on the table given when you first sit down are all marked black (looks very much like dirt and not cleaned properly same as the cutlery) we spent around £120 and would expect better from the restaurant owner. It's very little money to refresh your menus own menus, just send the files to a print company they arrive in 3 days. the plates really need a refresher. These two areas you interact with makes the place feel complacent and gives a poor experience / doubt in their food. (All this mentioned all an expense that comes off the company taxes anyway our meal alone would cover towards this) (Again the food is okay no issues)

Always a nice welcome in this restaurant. The food is good and reasonably priced. They got one of our orders wrong but it was sorted out quickly and also removed from our bill, which was appreciated. The place has a family feel and can be a little noisy, rather than a romantic type place, but it gives it a friendly vibe

Yet again the most delicious foods d fantastic service. So grateful this fantastic restaurant is so local for us. Last night I observed the chefs cooking , plating up , finishing off - what a tram of culinary professionals . Service is so personal and professional. Second time here for us as a family with three kids. Food is good, service is excellent, prices are good value. We are really pleased this place is on the up with a good atmosphere.

Our daughter choose to celebrate her birthday at San Giorgio's Restaurant in Mossley this evening. Everything was spot on from the friendly welcome on arrival, food was delicious, service was first class,staff were polite and professional. We had a very enjoyable evening and will definitely be returning .

Excellent service but last few visits we have noticed excessive amount of salt in food.

33 of my family and friends were treated to exceptional food and drink on the occasion of my 70th birthday celebration. With just a few days advance notice, we were all able to make our choices from the full menu. The food was served at the time we had requested with no guest having to wait for their food to arrive. The kitchen staff skilfully met all the menu choices without any error. The quality of the food was superb, cooked to perfection. Not only that but the restaurant and bar staff serving us were attentive and helpful throughout the 5 hours of our stay. Thank you to all at San Giorgio, Mossley for making my birthday celebration memorable and enjoyable for all who attended.

Came here for a meal, waited over 2 hours for our main meal due to prioritisation of take away meals.

Visiting with friends as their preference, we love Italian and it didn't disappoint, main meals took a while to arrive but we're delicious when they did , lovely staff and restaurant is nice. Would recommend for sure .

Went there on Sunday for my son 19 birthday we ordered a burger came raw ,chip cooked in old oil , my wife ordered Risotto she said in taste like washing up liquid my son ordered pizza had chicken bone in his pizza I paid £120 for the meal, and they even take are plates away at the end of meal. Pretty good to be honest with very friendly staff and tasty food. And what made me most pleased was they did not throw a service charge on also (forced tipping) so I was willing to give them a £10 tip instead of asking them to remove the service charge which would have resulted in zero tip!

So for starters we had the garlic bread which was included in the steak deal, but we ‘upgraded it’ by adding tomato, chilli onion and mozzerella.. and boy was it amazing! We also fancied some meatballs and hand on heart they were the best meatballs I’ve ever had, the sauce is phenomenal, please don’t ever change it as it’s my new addiction. Followed by the Steaks, we opted to upgrade them to a Ribeye and a Fillet, with the Crema Sauce and a Blue cheese one… both fantastic and steaks cooked to perfection! The sides of peas & bacon and crushed roast potatoes were perfectly seasoned and potatoes laced with garlic which we both loved! To say it was absolutely full when we walked in and there was only 3 people back of house and 3 out front, the service and wait times were great and liked that we wernt rushed. I’m just so happy this place is round the corner from me, my new favourite! In the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger, ‘I’ll be back’!

Amazing place couldn’t ask for better

Katie is absolutely lovely and took the time to speak to us about the minor issues with the food. The atmosphere was lovely as always. The table was sticky because the varnish had rubbed off so that was slightly irritating. Food was slightly burnt/over done but overall nice.

Impromptu visit and just happened to be the steak night. Really good value and delicious including the house wine which came with it.

Went with the family, grandkids loved it. I personally don't think the menu has enough variety. Felt a bit rushed, was asked to move as other people were booked on our table. After the amount we'd spent I thought it was a bit cheeky.

We visited San Giorgio tonight for the first time for my partner birthday, and we had a great evening. The food was delicious and the staff were very polite and helpful. Their menu offers a variety of different meals, including vegan options. (Apart from the deserts) We will definitely go back again soon for another meal.

The antipasti for two was only enough for one person,my serloin steak was also very small,at the prices this was very poor, when I mentioned to the waitress about the small antipasti nothing was done about it

A beautiful restaurant in the heart of top Mossley! Ryan gave us outstanding service from start to finish. We loved dining here and will be back again soon.

Only us in at 6pm but by the time we were going it had filled up. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Main course was terrible, probably the worst ever ! 3 of of us had the Beef Stroganoff. It was so diminutive and so tough , I'd would have been embarrassed to serve it at home , without even charging for it ! Let alone at £ 17 .50 . Sorry all eat else were . Can't understand where the 5 stars have come from , for sure not this diner !

Great restaurant with a warm cosy atmosphere. The food ordered was cooked to perfection there was not a thing wrong with it. Would highly recommend.

1st visit , and not disappointed, friendly attentive staff, we had the tues special ,ribs starter followed by pasta /rissoto mains . Food served was of a very high standard with no complaints from myself or wife, The atosphere and feel of the place overall was great. Thank you .

We were deliberating where to eat as it was my birthday so wanted something a bit special. Made a booking quite late in the day on a Friday. We were greeted at the door and shown to our table with a warm welcome. My wife and I had different starters but shared them, along with a garlic bread. We had the same main meal, which was from the specials board. All the food was excellent! The portions were fantastic and trust me I was hungry. Had an amazing bottle of Italian Rose Prosecco to wash it down. Could not fault the service. I think we were served by 3 people overall and each were pleasant and obliging. First time eating here and happy to say it will not be the last. Thank you, you made my birthday.

We were booked in at 8pm , waited 30 minutes before we got our drinks, still waiting for the menu, 9:40 main course arrived , one couldn’t eat the fillet steak it was all gristle. I ordered salmon asparagus and potatoes it was cold, I sent it back had to wait half an hour for a warmer one , by this time the other six had finished their meal. W will never go there again.

Great food and has to be one of the best Italian meals I've had in a very long time, being Italian that's saying something. Staff were absolutely lovely , will be going back for seconds.

Never known such a fabulous place go down hill so drastically. A Monday night with no one else in there and told I couldn't have any cheese on my garlic bread unless I pay £5.. Effects their bottom line apparently. Stop the world I want to get off! After 13 years we will not be back.. Fancy upsetting regular customers over a sprinkle of cheese or a dollop of passata 🤦‍♀️ the mind boggles.

The food was nice and the service was quick. A couple of things to make it better like putting a spoon on the table because I had spaghetti but couldnt twirl it so then has to wait for a spoon. Drinks coasters because I kept putting my arm in the water from the glass just simple things can make this place even better

I recently had a chance to sample the food from this restaurant. I will give this review with the caution that perhaps my experience was affected by the restaurant being busy and the food being delivered. To start I will say well done to the owners that there aren't charges for local delivery and prices are less for takeaway than in house. Very fair! My initial course was calamari which, had I thought about it, perhaps wasn't the best choice for a takeaway. The coating was a bit greasy and the squid a bit rubbery. The garlic sauce was tasty, fresh and there was lots of it. I had 6 squid rings and a bit of salad for £5.90. We ordered coleslaw that again was fresh, homemade and tasty. There was a variety of crunchy vegetables with an ok dressing. For mains we had the Calzone Classic and the Anziano pizza. The calzone was well filled with ingredients and my guest really enjoyed the calzone and the accompanying tomato based sauce. There was lots of sauce and it was flavourful. I had the pizza. I've been eating pizza for 50+ years and used to work in a pizzeria. Maybe I'm too critical. My pizza was a disappointment. First they changed ingredients and didn't tell me. It might not matter to some but getting capers when you ordered olives could really put some people off. Secondly the ingredients that were present were pretty sparse (3 slices of pepperoni for an 8 slice pizza). Thirdly the pizza arrived lukewarm. Overall I think the restaurant is good. I am pretty sure that the in house experience would have been better. If I ordered again I would probably just have the calzone knowing how good it looked. I would suggest that the owners check on what is being sent out since there is a lot of competition for takeaway pizza. I couldn't rate my experience as any more than average which seems a shame knowing the restaurants reputation.

Visited 2 weeks in a row, we enjoyed the first visit that much we came again the week after, lovely staff very reasonably priced and most importantly the food was excellent. Highly recommended 👍

Lovely meal and the staff are first class

Enjoyed food from here a second time in a fortnight. Takeaway this time ..was just as delicious and quick and delivered to the door too 100% all round . And the grandkids ate it all up which for them is not far short of a miracle

Shared a top class birthday meal with my better half. Probably the best garlic flatbread I’ve ever tasted with chilli and red onion, highly recommended. All three courses were excellent and if your like tiramisu do not miss out. Lovely attentive staff helped make it a lovely evening. Thank you.

Sadly, the noise from the kitchen extractor made it difficult for us to converse, and my mum’s tagliatelle carbonara was dry with rather too much bacon, which made the taste quite salty. My pizza was good, though. If I could have given 3.5 stars I would.

Visited here again last night and it was incredible as usual! The food is stunning and really reasonably priced. We had a pizza bread to share to start with. My partner had a burger and I had a creamy pasta dish for mains. All were brilliant! We had 3 maybe 4 bottles of lager each and the bill was £50. Fantastic value for money.. And I still had some food to bring home with me! I also have to add that the service is outstanding! The waiting staff are so efficient and genuinely really lovely people. The owner is also a lovely person. Even though we live quite a distance away now, it's worth the drive to this stunning restaurant ❤️

First time in this restaurant absolutely blown away this Italian is off the scale it may be a small village restaurant but the food presentation and the hospitality of the staff outweighs city Italians restaurants, the food came out piping hot and the flavours were authentic, the waitresses were extremely efficient, highly recommended will definitely come back 10/10

Wanted to order takeaway but said they weren't doing takeaways which is really disappointing as we always have enjoyed our takeaways from there. Would not have thought they could afford to turn away business. Sad really as we enjoy their food.

I'd heard this was really good and decided to give it a try - very glad I did! Always nervous when people order steak as it is the most complained about dish ever but the rib eye was apparently cooked to perfection. The brushetta was delish and whilst the pasta main initially looked small it really wasn't, and was very tasty. Will be back again!
