The food is lovely though we have never visited the restaurant. We have had meals delivered for some time.now but recently the website offered a timed delivery. It arrived 40 minutes early and the driver didn't know it was timed. They were unable to deliver at the time offered so we went without. Now it seems they have given up deliveries, they are always "closed" - despite the website offering to "bring it to your door." Such a shame. Nice while it lasted.

Starters were very nice, cheese garlic bread loverly. Standard garlic bread dripping in melted butter. Mains were very disappointing. Risotto was slop on a plate. Both mushroom and the spinach ones were sloppy , uninviting and rather tasteless. The chicken dishes were not much better. Very disappointed, wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

First visit to this restaurant, we were looking for an Italian restaurant within a reasonable travelling distance from home so chose San Marco. We were pleased that we had booked a table because the restaurant was busy. Service and atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed. We will come back again because the food was excellent. Highly recommended

A group of 11 came here to celebrate promotions of our side hustle business,we were seated quickly that’s where normal service in a restaurant ended. One of our party eats here quite often so she stepped in and took all our orders .when the food came up the starters they were good with one king prawn starter overcooked,the mains were a bit hit and miss, we felt sorry for the waitress who was in charge at 17

This restaurant never disappoints. Last night's meals were delicious and the service was friendly and efficient. It's so nice to be offered meat and fish dishes as well as pasta/pizza/risotto. The website concentrates more on the delivery/takeaway service; but it's worthwhile persevering to enjoy this delightful restaurant.

We have wanted to try this restaurant since it opened but hadn't got around to it, went there the other evening as a last minute thing, service was lovely the food was absolutely outstanding. We will definitely be going back

We have been going to this restaurant regularly ever since it opened. The food is fabulous and it’s such a lovely change to find an Italian restaurant that serves more than pizza, pasta and risotto. But we were not so impressed with out last visit. We booked online via their website and received a text and email confirming our booking. But when we called to let them know we would be arriving 30 minutes later than arranged, they had no record of our booking. They still had space and when we arrived we chose a table for four near to the bar. But there was a terrible draught around our legs and my wife had to sit with her coat over her lap. When they clear the plates they are taken behind the bar for the staff to return to the kitchen via an outside door – which was left open for several minutes at a time. Not ideal in February! Some tables were laid with cutlery and napkins, ours was not. We had to request these after our starters arrived on the table and then again when our main courses arrived. My wife and I both ordered spaghetti with seafood for our main course, but while I had two king prawns on my plate, my wife had none, despite king prawns being listed as an ingredient in the dish. It was really difficult to attract the attention of either of the two waitresses, either for extra drinks or to mention the lack of an important ingredient in the dish, as they were rushing about all over the place, so my wife just ate it without. It was still quite delicious. We were not supplied with an extra plate for the shells or a finger bowl, nor did we get the usual courtesy of ‘is everything OK with your meal’ as we would have mentioned it. We asked for the desert menu but were told only a few items were available. Our son asked for a pudding that they had to check with the kitchen was still available, but they didn’t return to let us know, or indeed take our other desert orders, until they came out with my son’s pudding. My wife and I therefore asked for an Irish coffee but the two waitresses had no idea how to make them and had to call the chef out to do it. Overall, the food is excellent, apart from the absence of prawns in one dish. The chef - who is also the owner - is brilliant and his dishes taste as good as they look. But our evening was spoilt on this special birthday occasion by the unprofessional service we received and we really hope this is just a temporary blip.

Great takeaway pizza - we've ordered a few times and it always arrives hot and so tasty. The pizzas have such lovely dough and I really enjoy the San Marco pizza particularly! The delivery guy is very smiley too which is a nice bonus :)

I always order delivery from San Marco (usually pasta or pizza) and while sometimes the delivery can get delayed it's usually not and the food is excellent.

Let's be honest, who hasn't gone to an Italian restaurant and wished there was more than just Spaghetti Bolognaise, Lasagne or the ever ubiquitous pizza selections of Pepperoni or Hawaiian (actually that's another story in itself). If not, then I really don't think you'll appreciate the better than average menu choices available here. For me, there is no better statement of an Italian restaurant's credentials than their seafood dishes. And San Marco offers very fine dishes with fresh, crisp seafood that is miles away and better than the stodgy overcooked servings that the popular cookie cut Italian chain restaurants offer next door to every WHSmith or McD in every town. By far and away my favourite Italian restaurant.

We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal at San Marco earlier in the month. All of the food was delicious, but the sea bass that we had for main course was superb! The service that we received was excellent too, we definitely recommend San Marco 😍

We took our lovely neighbour out for a birthday treat .. her first visit and she was as impressed as we were and is planning to return. We were all very happy with all our choices, and were impressed by the generous portions .. and we were well looked after by the delightful Karolina. Now that restrictions have been eased we hope this traditional Italian restaurant gets the backing it truly deserves. As this report shows we're happy to recommend the San Marco to one and all.

Visited the restaurant to celebrate my friend's birthday and we ordered starters with prawns and avocado as well as calamari - both were cooked perfectly and tasted so good. Highlight was the steak with pimiento sauce though, a tasty dream of beef! Can highly recommend.

Had the yummiest seafood gluten free pasta dish, the pasta was cooked to perfection and lots of flavour. The service was fab and the espresso martini cocktails were delish!

San Marco is without doubt the best restaurant in Addlestone. Never a disappointment, we have often eaten in the restaurant itself but since lockdown we have ordered takeaways from them. Again the food arrives promptly, very hot and is always appetising, I urge anyone in...

Have eaten here before and it has always been excellent. Not had their pizzas before but recently had them as takeaway delivery. Lovely, authentic pizzas, fresh garlic bread and efficient ordering and delivery service. Look forward to using this small, local restaurant again.

We enjoyed a thoroughly good meal from San Marco, this evening. Food was freshly cooked with good flavour and texture. As we can't dine in, at present, this is definitely the best alternative.

I ordered online from this restaurant on 17.05.2020. I chose that delivery time 12:45. Around 13:00 I called to see what was happening with the order. They said that the restaurant opens at 15:00 (although when I ordered and I PAID) I chose a delivery...

Haven’t had the opportunity to get down for a meal yet after reading positive reviews!!!So ordered a take out last week and sadly to say it wasn’t the best pizza’s we had!!! Ordered 2 American hots, first the pizza base was very pale hardly cooked with a minimum ingredients on it, and certainly no hot spices!!!! Did call to give feedback but had no response!!! Wish I had ordered Dominos now!!!!!

I chose this restaurant, first visit, based on its trip Advisor rating and I dare say it warrants the good comments about it but I am merely commenting on our experience. Having booked on line, with a confirmation on my phone, we were kept standing up in the entrance while they tried to find our reservation. The space is pretty cramped so not a good start. The food was somewhat lacklustre (the insalata tricolore was unimaginative and my penne arrabiata did not deserve the title as the sauce was very bland. I would describe my partner’s meal as no more than average). We didn’t wait for desert. We had a bottle of the house red and the bill, with automatic 10% tip, came to £57. I guess Valentine’s Day is not good one on which to judge performance and at least they let us take our unfinished wine home with us!

First visit to this little restaurant, we were a group of 10 including children, celebrating a Golden Wedding Anniversary, it was quite busy with music in the background.....a nice atmosphere, there was only 1 person serving but managed everything, the food was excellent, with a good choice on the menu, it was a very enjoyable evening and will certainly be going back.

Forget the chair food establishments near the cinema in Addlestone, invest 10 mins in walking towards the railway and over the level crossing. On the right you will spot the San Marco. Small, unassuming, it is a fantastic find. This is real home spun Italian cooking. Perfect pasta, excellent veal. Smart service and at a very reasonable price.Its just excellent food - do go.

I tried the lunch menu at san Marco, there are a selection of pizza and pasta dishes. I ordered the spaghetti bolognese which was nice. An option for nicely cooked italian in addlestone.

I was surprised how few people were dining at my last visit when it is such a nice restaurant. I have treated several members of my family throughout the year and each time the food has been very good. Prices are reasonable. Love the cheese and tomato garlic bread as a starter. Seafood pasta is good. Also love the lasagna. Would recommend this local Italian restaurant.

Lovely little Italian right opposite addlestone train station ! Went as family of four - great food - great service and very reasonable. Complimentary bread and oil whilst waiting on our meal was a nice gesture - will definitely be back !

We booked this restaurant for a large group of around 40 parents and kids. We were so impressed! The pizzas and pasta were delicious and the service was amazing. We will def return !

We haven’t been to the restaurant yet but my husband and I have been ordering takeaway pizza a few times and definitely will keep doing it! If you want to taste proper Italian pizza and baked to perfection-that’s it! Looking forward to visit the restaurant next. Thank you!

What a brilliant authentic Italian restaurant. Great menu and we loved all the dishes we ordered. The mixed seafood with spaghetti served in foil was delicious as was the veal parmiganio. My wife loves lasagne and she certainly wasn't disappointed. We were looked after well by the manager Tony who couldn't have been more helpful. Sadly the San Marco is just off the main shopping area and this may put people ofd .. if so they should reconsider. We will certainly return as will some of our friends who also speak highly of this restaurant.

Always love it - food is superb - location is not good - don't pass it by - go and enjoy proper Italian food - normally not a long wait, but if you do have to wait, it's well worth it! They need to be busy - the food is fab - please give it a try!

The service was quick. Booking was easy. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. My husbands birthday was made a special event.

Pasta and pizza are good but very small portions of calamari and meatballs and steak was rank average. The waiter didn't want to be their...neither will we be again!!

Ordered takeaway from here recently food was very good. Delivery was quick and food piping hot still on arrival. Tasted just like it did if eating in the restaurant highly recommend

This is Addlestone’s little gem - fabulous food - highly recommended- they should be packed every night but the location doesn’t help- I urge you to try it- it’s superb

We have been regulars at the San Marco ever since it opened and have never been disappointed. We have had intimate dinners for two, taken parties of 4 -6 and even had a birthday party with about 20 (This took nearly half the restaurant) and have always enjoyed it immensely. Highly recommended but it is small so book ahead if you’re going on Friday or Saturday night or on a bank holiday.

I went to San Marco for the first time on a Saturday evening with my wife and two sons who are 7 and 4.

My partner and I have only tried delivery from here but we are looking forward to eating in at the restaurant at some point as it appears very cosy and romantic. We have had several deliveries of food from here and every one has been hot and the food was fantastic.

Over priced and owner rude whent when first opened a lot of times then one night I invited friends along and praised how good the food was we had a small problem with one of my friends meal and the owner just could not be bothered my soon stopped going in all 8 of us have not been back

We decided on San Marco as it was local for everyone. As it was a works xmas meal we wanted to do a la carte instead of a traditional set menu. The food was nice, service was a bit slow but generally we were all happy. My only comment would be the decor, I felt it was very plain and lacked atmosphere.

We are staying in Addlestone before visiting family for Christmas. Several restaurants were closed for Christmas Eve. We googled and found San Marco. Small restaurant - but very cosy. SO we tried it out.

The food is all absolutely delicious. Steaks very tasty, main courses such as chicken or lasagne are flavoured beautifully. I could not fault any of the food that is available (and we have eaten a lot of it!).

I cannot fault the food at San Marco, I had pasta with lobster which came with half a lobster on top which was some of the best pasta I have ever eaten. My partner had the calzone and again it was so good, overflowing with fillings, he couldn't finish it all which is unheard of for him. The restaurant itself is very small, it was half full when we visited but I can imagine if every table was occupied it would be too cosy for me. It wont stop me going back though.

Visited here on Saturday night. We found our own table (we had booked), sat down and waited for quite a while before anybody acknowledged us. It’s a small place and could be very nice and romantic but unfortunately a couple of tables of very drunk people made for a loud and not particularly nice atmosphere.

Ate here with some colleagues recently. It's a smalish place with quite a few tables, the night we had our meal it was busy and they had to shuffle around so we could be seated, so probably best to book.

Popped in here for the first time with a colleague for a quick working lunch this week and was very pleasantly surprised. Good was good, service also good, would recommend to someone looking Italian in Addlestone.

A really lovely meal here - we have had take away before and were impressed so decided to try the restaurant. The service was great we were given delicious homemade bread by the owner and complimentary limoncello! The food was really tasty, and we will be back very soon, so happy to have found a decent place to eat on our doorstep.

With a young baby, we've only had the pleasure of San Marco's take-away option (they use a very smart online ordering system which makes the process easy; and they also reward loyal customers with savings and free gifts!). We've constantly been pleased by our orders from there - both speedy and great tasting, generously portioned, and also - still HOT! They have really nailed high-quality Italian take-away food. A good example of their excellent customer service - a couple of weeks ago we received the wrong order from the temporary driver during a very busy evening for them - I won't say exactly how they fixed the problem, but I will say that they did it superbly - leaving us happy and keen to order again from San Marco. Keep up the good work! Thank you

We joined friends for lunch at the restaurant. It was not busy and the waiter was attentive and friendly. We ordered different dishes and each was excellent as were the desserts. A complimentary Limoncello rounded off a lovely, reasonably priced meal. We will definitely be returning at a later date.

It was our first dinner at the restaurant and, although the internal décor is not exactly posh or glamorous the food (appetizers, pizzas and desert) was really delicious and the overall value for money really amazing. We will most certainly return.

This was my first visit to the restaurant although the friends I were with had been before and recommended it. I was not disappointed. Quite a small place which gave it a warm and cosy atmosphere. Very friendly welcome, good service, food served promptly and piping hot. Couldn't ask for more. Have arranged to take other friends there for lunch, one of whom has special dietary requirements and one with hearing difficulties who will appreciate the lack of loud 'background' music.

Awesome Italian restaurant, with unbelievable quality food and service. This tiny little restaurant in Addlestone so punches above its weight. Just look at the pictures. The seafood is so fresh and beautifully cooked while the pasta and pizza are to die for. Booking recommended as it is getting more and more popular. As a family run establishment you get excellent service, bespoke to your needs. Wish I could keep it to myself!

Dined at this restaurant yesterday evening.I would have given this a 5 star as the food and service was outstanding. I must say working in a restaurant myself i truly believe £11.25 for a double vodka and ginger ale is daylight robbery. Perhaps they should look at reviewing there drinks list so based on this i wont be returning.

We went here on a quiet Tuesday having just moved to Addlestoneand the boss could not have been nicer or more helpful. My friend had her grandson with her but he did behave; many restaurants frown upon children but the Patron fetched a high chair and treated him beautifully. And then to the food!

Just had a takeaway from the San Marco for the first time. We have eaten in plenty of times but it was lovely to relax at home with a Pizza Regina and a glass of Peroni. This is a wonderful authentic Italian restaurant!

Sunday afternoon lunch with family for my birthday. I have been here a few times and wanted my family to experience the great food and atmosphere. We ate garlic prawns, calamari, bruschetta, seafood spaghetti, sea bass, steak. Everyone had a lovely afternoon and my Mother-in-Law said it was the best food she had eaten in along time.

Having heard great reports about San Marco’s, we decided to get a take-away on Mother’s Day. Ordering process was great, Paul the delivery man was a friendly chap and most importantly, the food was excellent, although I was a bit apprehensive about a take-away Italian. We had a vast array of dishes, including pizza, bruschetta and pasta and all went down lovely. We will be visiting soon for a sit-down this time:)

We went there last night for the first time and it will definitely not be the last. The food was amazing, the value for money was fantastic and staff very friendly and efficient. The restaurant decor is wonderful, it is very clean and I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely restaurant to anyone. Very pleased that we have found such a lovely place to eat and walking distance from home :-)

We went in there with our neighbours and had an excellent evening. Been there many times before, never had a bad meal, service or experience. House wine is good. My steak last night was spot on as were all our meals. Excellent place. *****

Walked in got seated quickly ordered drinks, which despite being fairly busy at the time got to us promptly. Menu had so many of my loved Italian dishes that It was almost hard to decide what to get. Starters were a nice size,between my girlfriend and I we had the buschetta (Was very tasty and had plenty of toppings) and garlic bread San Marco (they said it was big and it did not disappoint, great toppings too). For the main I decided to go with the San Marco pizza (large, nice and crispy base, plenty of topping again), my Girlfriend had the king prawn pizza, similar to mine in terms of quality/quantity. For someone who has a very large appetite I was defeated before I could reach dessert which is a rarity. Overall service was good, friendly/courteous staff, prices ended up cheaper than my usual takeaway orders so it's safe to say this could well become our regular Saturday night spot, at least until I've gone through and had the whole menu.

If you are looking for a place to being addicted by, you are on the right one . Italian cuisine and special wine selection . You can find the greatest dishes . It gathers all my favourite flavors . I’ll certainly come back again .

We booked a table for seven people on Saturday. Welcome was great. It is an intimate restaurant offering a great choice of menu. The food was excellent, well presented and very tasty. The spaghetti bolognese was the best I’ve tasted, even better than some in Italy. Everyone had starters & main courses but the “icing on the cake” was the lemon cheese cake. To die for. Would definitely recommend San Marco. Good to have a different choice instead of just an Chinese or Indian restaurant. Will certainly be going back. As I can’ t rate the service below (doesn’t allow me to click the rings!) I give full marks for service, food & value

I had heard great reviews of this place.

Having eaten many times here we always get a very warm welcome and lovely service. The food is so tasty with plenty of garlic and chilli. The portions are plentiful and the house wines are very quaffable. We enjoy going back there time after time and will no doubt be back very soon!

Wonderful food, great staff, what more could one ask? The Pollo Milanese is my favourite but everything on the menu is freshly cooked to order. Whether for a special occasion or just because you don’t feel like cooking, you will receive a warm welcome. An absolute treat every time.

We have ordered pizza many times to be delivered. The online ordering system works well and the delivery times they estimate are normally beaten! Pizza is tasty, and ingredients fresh. Highly recommend.
