Piccolino in Runnymede

Absolutely brilliant meal with exceptional service. Made a late call to try and get a table, however this proved no problem at all even though a busy Friday evening. Drinks arrived promptly whilst we all chose from the extensive menu and all ordered starters and mains. All of the food was brilliantly prepared and presented, but most of all the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff was beyond compare. Special mention must be made of Loti, Fatjon and Nehal who were all absolutely brilliant!

Lovely restaurant, and it was a gorgeous day so we managed to get a tableon the terrace. Had glass of Champagne to start, then for starter I had the Parmigiana followed by Duck Legs with Meditteranean Veggies, washed down with a large glass of Malbec. We finished with Decaff Capucchinos. Second visit here, will definitely be back

Very busy place , felt rushed food was served very quickly , table was terrible up against a pillar , sea bass was a complete rip off this was the worst sea bass I have ever ordered with a few fried potatoes no flavour at all looked and tasted very bland.Overall thought the food and service was poor especially for the price.

Staff were superb throughout our visit, both waiting staff and bar staff. Only wished the weather would have been better so the roof would have been down. Food delicious and excellent cocktails served at the bar following our meals. Only critism is of other dinners who let their kids run around the restaurant for hours. The vibe on a Saturday evening was awesome with the DJ playing in the background. Will definitely return.

We dined yesterday as a party of 8. I was really pleasantly surprised by our experience at Piccolino. Our food was amazing, and brought out quickly, especially for a Saturday night. The portions were slightly on the small side but that left room for the best tiramisu I’ve ever had. We were served by Ayser, who was really friendly and efficient. He really made the meal for us. I would definitely recommend this place to others, and we will be back soon.

We book table we finally came they said it’s only table reserved for 1hour 30min cose they busy ! Tables was empty all but we continue dinner cose of special occasion like I said before we book the table. Then we see in menu big plate with meet and also we ask writer it’s for two ppl ? Cose the price was £47.50 she said yes . We see the bill was more then £200 ok but my friend see we pay double for meet , nicely we ask waiter u said it’s for two ppl then why it’s price double , she answer with cold face it’s per person price 😆 like this restaurant don’t need be cheeky for money just u make ppl Not back again to u . The time 1,30h when u know its special occasion and make customers in wrong with prices … guys choose something better with more nicely respected then go there spend money and go.

We dined as a family of 6 adults to celebrate 3 birthdays. This was our first occasion and we were prompted to book after having a lovely meal last year at Piccolino Liverpool. Trying to find a car parking place is an issue and we nearly couldn't park. It was a little chaotic with some cars waiting to park and others picking up. Once inside though, the ambience and decor are lovely. We sat in the main dining area which was very busy and having reserved, were promptly taken to our table having been asked whether or not we would like a drink at the bar first. The service from our waitress was superb / faultless. One of the starters came out wrong but was promptly rectified. I am a coeliac (gluten free) and she was knowledgeable enough to know that the oil in the fryer would be cross-contaminated. If we can be very critical, it would have been nice to have a drizzle of oil on the carpaccio but it was still excellent. All main course were excellent and my wife particularly liked the wagyu lasagne. I chose a gluten free seafood pasta. Whilst it was cooked very well, the amount of shellfish was lacking slightly. Deserts were excellent. A nice touch was the little birthday cake and the waitress also brought out a gluten free desert not knowing if it was my birthday as well. The bar area looked lovely and the cocktails we had were very well made - and also very reasonably priced. Towards the end of our meal, a member of staff took two big bags of rubbish through the restaurant, past our table, to dispose of in the bins outside. I have never experienced this before in any restaurant and it was not pleasant when having a nice meal. That aside and bearing in mind the excellent service from our waitress - which is a very important factor to me - we will definitely return.

So my advice is be aware, you are presented with an a la carte and a fixed price menu the latter that says clearly £20 for 2 courses; £25 for 3, which feels great value for money, simple good dished for a good price. You are also told a discount is available if you are a club R member. So, rightly, you think that the £20/£25 will be further discounted. This is a deception and misleading. The £20/£25 is the net price, overleaf in small print is the real price. I can’t tell you how annoying it is to be deceived. It’s bad business practice and ultimately led to such a fabulous experience ending with a bitter taste and the service charge being removed. Just be honest with your customer, that’s all that needs to happen. If you say it’s £25 it’s £25, it’s not £28….. and if you say there’s a 15% discount then it’s £17/£21.25 It’s all a bit shady, even your website doesn’t show the real price. Shame on you.

Me and my fiancee decided to celebrate our 1 year anniversary here. Long story short, very friendly staff, delicious food done the proper Italian way, lots of options, fair prices, cozy and comfortable layout. 11/10, will definitely become a regular Short story long: The staff:Very friendly, young, full of energy, professional, communicative and thoughtful. The restaurant itself is very cosy, nicely decorated, chairs are comfy, the lights are dim so they will not cause a strain to the eyes. At the reception, the receptionist will hand over the menu's and take your coats. Now for the main event, the food. There are a lot of options. You have appetizers (individual or shareable), such as bruchetta, garlic bread, focaccia. Mains, such as pizza, pasta, lasagna, seafood, steaks and salads. And a large chunk of desserts. We ended up having the focaccia, carbonara (which you can get either the British way or the Italian way), wagyu lasagna, 4 small shareable desserts, another complementary dessert (due to the occasion) and 2 pizzas to go just because the food was amazing. Really tasty, fresh, light, you can taste all the ingredients, which is how proper Italian food should be. My fiancee claimed that is the best carbonara she had ever eaten. As for the price, it is not cheap, but it's completely worth as it is not expensive either. In conclusion, we were very satisfied, grateful and we will definitely return. It made it into the top 3 restaurants in the Warrington area, and if you are looking for proper Italian food, you HAVE to go check it out for yourself. Ti amo Piccolino! Grazie!

Go here at least every few months. The atmosphere is lovely all year round, especially in the summer with the roof opening. There is always a warm welcome from the manager and often we have Klara as our server who not only is very attentive but remembers so much, she is wonderful, always smiling. The drinks are good and the food, well I've fallen in love with the Wagyu Lasagne, i hope you never take it off the menu! See you soon.

Attended with family for special occasion, on a Tuesday afternoon, food was fantastic, scapplops excellent, steaks faultless, the service was amazing, apologies don't know his name, tall gentleman with beard, very engaging, funny and very helpful, this piccolinos best one I've been in, I will definitely be back, next time in england

what a lovely place! great vibe, lovely bar and restaurant! then it goes downhill unfortunately! food is very average, i had nice arancini starter, husband had bland unseasoned squid, i had mushroom risotto for main which was full of grit and tasteless, husband had a seafood pasta with very little seafood! such a shame you can’t cook a half decent plate of food, bill came with other people’s drinks on it??? first and last time we will dine here i’m afraid! such a shame!

It was my 60th birthday. First we were told the two cheapest bottles of wine weren't available. At least two fish options also not available . Starter arrived and was lukewarm. Overpriced steak and chips for both myself and my husband. Not even offered bread, despite the prices of everything else, including sides that had to be bought separately . Husbands preference for medium cooked steak close to blue. Seating quite drafty and toilets freezing. Finally bill came with wrong wine charge. I was looking forward to the evening which, while not disastrous, did not meet my expectations . At least concentrate on getting the food right. We have dined here previously and all fine . Disappointing

Amazing place for celebrating anniversary 😘 I went there with my husband walk in the women staff is amazing warm welcome and give us menu and details all food and drinks After we have ordered beef and Indian guy brings food not smiling and I ask black vinegar he seem not happy and just drop not tell us anything that is too rude , But place very unique and very comfortable and romantic for family and friends I really like my food I order and my husband happy to have meal that Thank you

Dined in Piccolino Stockton heath last week for a leisurely lunch. Staff, stunning decor, food, attentive service all great… however there was 1 thing that made me choose to review. As a new mum, with an 8-wk old baby this was one of my First Ladies lunches & I was surprised & delighted at the accessible facilities. It might sound like a small thing but the provision of nappies, wipes, sudocrem, cotton wool, nappy bags etc means that you don’t have to worry about getting caught short & you feel seen! It is a consideration not often found in the UK which means establishments miss out on the valuable mummy market. For this reason alone we will return & I’ve shared with friends. We would definitely recommend! Try the Hugo cocktail & the arancini starter 👍 Thank you!!!

Garlic / tomato bread and margarita pizza were identical in taste ?? Lasagne was a grey colour in appearance, strange for a top layer sauce !! But the dessert was gorgeous and saved the evening. Choose the chocolate mousse but a tenner is a bit steep. Lovely interior design but could have been better food quality as very expensive.

I feel it’s a case of the old fable” The emperors clothes” here with a lot of the reviews. Yes the food was nice but not wow nice and the waiter service was ok but not £25 ok for spending around £250 on lunch for 4 people. There are better dining experiences in Stockton Heath and you don’t come out feeling like Dick Turpin has just been through your pockets. Also I don’t like the service charge being just added as a matter of fact, leave it to the customer to decide what they feel the waiter service was worth and I know I could have changed that there and then but that’s just too embarrassing for some people to do. Definitely not value for money!

Visited on 27.12.24 2 gentleman greeting for great, gentleman behind the bar was great. Waited about 50mins for food but it was worth the wait it was gorgeous!! Service was good, friendly etc only reason not 5 star is because the lack of coming over on a few occasions to check if we needed drinks, we had to keep asking - but when we did the drinks were correct and arrived quickly. Atmosphere was good it was packed clearly a popular place! Perhaps some light mood music to top it off hehe! Overall great can’t wait to go back!

We went for a birthday meal, but it took 25 minutes to find somewhere to park. Two of our party had to jump out to save our table! The giant car park is sadly, it seems, not reserved for patrons. Unfortunately for this reason we will not visit again. Way too stressful for my MIL who was driving. The service was excellent. The food was mixed. Two of the party had versions of bruschetta. One was fine, one was tasteless, but both were on toast so tough that we had to borrow steak knives to cut it. Arancini, carpaccio and shellfish were all very good. Mains also mixed. Pastas all good, but the steaks are not cooked well. I would have sent them back (delivered very rare, ordered medium rare). At £40 a steak this isn’t really acceptable, but the people in our party didn’t want to cause a fuss. To be fair to the venue, I have no doubt they would have fixed it without question, but we all wanted to eat together so the steaks were keep as is. All in all we had a lovely time. We don’t mind paying the prices Piccolino charges, but to be honest I expect way better quality from the kitchen.

10/10, food was excellent, the Bruschetta was a bit rubbish, cherry tomatoes were massive! But Lottie was the best served I've had in ages, thank you so much!

Just came by for drinks to see the newly renovated terrace and sat on the bar - the young lady that was serving us really made the night so special. Cocktails were awesome and so was the atmosphere! Definitely recommend thank you guys

Lovely food, drinks and atmosphere. We come here regularly and use the rewards scheme (which is great). Tonight we were looked after by Royden/Mario who regularly goes the extra mile for us ! He’s a credit to the team, recognising and greeting us each time we come, providing a friendly and personable service ! :)

An incredible spot for authentic Italian in Surrey! I went with a friend for late lunch, even at 4pm the atmosphere was incredible! Huge thanks to our servers Yordan and Mario for their stellar service and recommendations - the truffle carpaccio and truffle prosciutto pizza were mouth watering. We’ll definitely be returning!!

Only had drinks, but the place is lovely as are the staff, and the food that I saw being brought out to other customers looked nice.

One of the most overrated restaurants I’ve ever been to. Atmosphere, seating, bar all fantastic. My calamari starter was unevenly seasoned, some pieces bland and others extremely salty. Some of the prawns in my prawn linguine main were way overcooked, mushy and vile. The pasta itself was bland and lacking seasoning. Davide invaded my personal space several times, leaning so close to me that I could feel his breath on my neck (shudder) and I found his long dirty nails gross, especially as he was handling plates of food. Overall okay, but far too overpriced considering it’s a glorified chain restaurant. I now understand why the Trip Advisor reviews rate this place one of the best in the area. The wait staff basically pressured my friend into leaving a good review in front of them. If you’re after decent Italian food, might I recommend Donatello?

First time at Piccolino, certainly won't be the last. Everything was great, can't fault anything. Staff were brilliant, lovely atmosphere and as for the food - delicious. Had the meatballs which were the best I have ever had. Why have we never been before????

Nice place to hang out with friends and have a drink. Food is pricey for a regular customer but if you want a nice pleasant bar environment with light entertainment then this is the place to go.

Had a lovely evening here for birthday celebrations. The atmosphere was lively in a very nice way with the DJ and other tables celebrating. Food was very nice. The reason for my review is to thank Lottie for being so wonderful, she really made the evening, was attentive and hard working and very knowledgeable about the menu and wine list - she's a star!

Great meal at Piccolinos sat outside on a sunny evening. We had some great fish starters followed by perfectly cooked steak and a really nice truffle pasta dish. Daisy was our server, she was great and did everything to make sure we had a great experience, wonderful service. We will be back 👌🤌

I've eaten in a few Piccolinos in the past and they have always been very good. Unfortunately this site was a little sub-par 🫤 I visited here for a Business Lunch one Wednesday, the Service was very good, the atmosphere was pleasant, but the food was not great. Both of us ordered Spaghetti Carbonara, a simple meal, so it should always be perfect. The meals we received were poor, very salty and very dry (like they had been left under a heat lamp for too long) 🤢. I've seen microwave Carbonara taste better 🤦‍♂️ I won't be rushing back to this restaurant in a hurry 👎

A pleasant reasonably priced lunch, comfortable on the upstairs terrace. Wouldn't want to sit outside downstairs in the traffic fumes. Better than I remembered the place from the past when the service had been poor and the food expensive for what it was. So the lunch menu was a pleasant surprise

I hosted 15 people at the restaurant which was booked over a month ago we were put upstairs which was pushed in a corner very tight . The service was awful we had to wait over 25mins for our drinks and at the end of the evening I had to go up and ask for the bill . I would not recommend. It used to be such a great place to go

Excellent service and attention to detail. Fantastic menu choices to cater for all tastes. Great choice on the drinks menu for beers, wines and spirits. Some good traditional cocktails on offer as well. Not the cheapest establishment in the area, but very popular nevertheless. Free kids meals on offer if you become a member through the app. You need to spend quite a chunk to begin receiving any rewards for your loyalty though. Well worth a visit for those special occasions!
