The food is horrible. The chef doesn’t know how to chop a duck. It is ridiculous. I will never spend my money here again.

Went in and asked for spicy noodles, they said they could do it but then they weren't spicy and didn't taste any good. They said they would get chili oil but then just got ciracha sauce as they didn't have any chili oil for vegetarians. When asked if it could make it spicier with chili's, they charged us for the chopped chilis Update: emailed to "discuss" but no reply so far

Lovely food! We tried prawn dumpling, 'crispy shredded beef with sweet and spicy sauce', 'calamary' and 'noodle with prawn'. We liked everything except the beef. it was too sweet. The service was average, they asked to take the plates away several times even though there was still food..

Duck is very good, and they are very fast in the kitchen. Servers are quick, but seem a bit emotion-less. The atmosphere is very calm.

First time I visit this Chinese restaurant in Chinatown and it was the right choice. They offer dimsum also in the evening and it was great! Very tasty and good portion for sharing! The mixed vegetable noodles also offered a different great taste to the palate! The taste and texture of the noodle is different compared to the other chinese restaurant. A must visit! Great food at an affordable prices! 4 kinds of dimsum and mixed vegetable noodles for £33 including service charge!

I loved their dim sums. We began with the basics and liked every one of them. We were put on the upper floor - warmer and quieter 👍🏻 decent food at a reasonable price without a queue (saturday 1pm)

Quiet on a Wednesday lunchtime, we wondered if the dim sum was actually made to order rather than pre prepared as it was so fresh. The atmosphere wasn't buzzing but that's fine, we were there for the food and will return.

Recently visited this restaurant and we were all very impressed with the food and service.... especially the crispy pork, and crispy duck dishes....they were amazing!!! The vegetable dish with cashew nuts and asparagus... delicious!!! Seafood fried rice.... delightful....in all, an amazing experience...we will definitely be back... Been thinking and talking about that meal, over and over again.....how tasty it was....thank youuuuuu!!!!

Food was greasy and bland, nothing terrible but nothing to write home about. They were super friendly and accommodating with our baby and the service was great.

This is one of the smaller restaurants in Chinatown situated in the less crowded Lisle Street. Not withstanding to its size, the restaurant boosts an extensive menu like many of its competitors. We tried dim sums at lunch as that’s the staple for Cantonese cuisine & time of the day. Two of the main dishes like prawn dumplings & chives dumplings were good, but the soup dumplings were quite mediocre. We also had a plate of the three types of barbecued meat. It was actually a disappointment as the meat did not appear appetising. Skins were not crunchy & roasted pork was far too fatty to consume.

Love this restaurant. Me & my partner come back monthly just to treat ourselves, would recommend the travel into London to eat here.

Don't expect too much! Everything is average or below. We ordered stir-fried duck breasts, the taste just too sweet. You can skip the soup dumplings. Don't waste money!

Was recommended this restaurant by a family member so after attending the Leicester Square Theatre we popped in about 9.30pm. Was given a lovely welcome by the lady in there who was wearing glasses. (Sorry didn’t get her name). She was lovely and we ended up having a real laugh with her. Food arrived quickly and was very tasty. Portions are big so we could have shared a few dishes but they offered us a goody bag so that’s hubby’s lunch sorted today 😆 Would definitely recommend

I got 2 roast meats w rice - crispy pork belly and roast duck. Roast duck was ok, pork belly was tasteless hard and fatty. The rice was bland as the soy sauce was just splashed on. The veg tasted bitter and had a black rim on the bottom (visible in my photo). Really disappointing.. Also they bring a card machine with a tip option, the lady stood there waiting to see what I’d press. I stalled and finally when she left I clicked 0 because I saw they already added a service charge to the main bill..

Generous portions and good price for London. The har gow and crispy pork belly were nice.

Our favourite restaurant in china town, great quality food & value, this is the real deal, certainly not a tourist trip, all the staff are friendly & attentive. Highly recommend.

The staff were so welcoming and were always ready to pick up my grandsons fork off the floor. Ha ha. Food was incredible. Me and my grandson would recommend the duck pancakes with the sauce and the sweet and sour chicken. We loved it. Thank you. Overall experience: 9.5/10 From Ben and Wendy

Very well eaten, lots of tastes and flavors, BUT, but, but. ⚠ When we order dim sum (very good) for 2 and there are 3 of us, the homemade hors d'oeuvres for 3, and then 3 dishes, we are not used to having everything on the table at the same time . Which means the noodles were cold before we had time to start eating them! Furthermore, the "service charge" that everyone complains about is listed on the menu but not outside, and it is also clearly stated that a minimum of £15 per person is obligatory. I can assure you that reaching £15 is not difficult! 😁 For the rest, we had different servers, one of whom was much less friendly than the others, and having difficulty understanding the order. However, as said, it was very good. 😁

Popped in there on holiday in London. Me and kids loved it. Food was really good and the service was great. Would go back here again next time in London.

The shrimp dumplings with bamboo shoots and shrimp rice rolls are both delicious. The shrimps are freshly cut and taste great. At least they are better than those from Taiwan and Tim Ho Wan from Hong Kong. The dim sum is much more delicious. The fried beef pho tastes good too!

I have eaten dim sum at various restaurants, but this one is far superior to any of it's rivals. Dim sums are fresh with the right texture & super tasty fillings. Albert made us feel welcome and made us at ease upon entering the restaurant. Fantastic service on top of quality food made this dining experience a pleasure. All of the team 's service was excellent. One will not be disappointed eating here and I will definitely eat here again when I am next in from Kent.

This store is right next to the supermarket. Every time I go to the supermarket for shopping, I go there to eat. I recommend the authentic Malaysian flavor of Gan Xiang Crab and Typhoon Shelter Fried Crab, which are also delicious! Must order beef river and ganxiang fried rice noodles! The pot is full of energy! Service attitude is also very good

We recently went to celebrate my friend's birthday and the food was delicious and very high quality. The service was exceptional and the staff were very attentive and friendly. They had an amazing selection of food and drinks. I really enjoyed the lobster with noodles in a ginger and spring onion sauce. Would highly recommend visiting here 😀

This has to be the best chinese food i have ever had. The staff where so lovely. We come on the 20th May and the lady on shift was the most welcoming and accommodating. The service was quick and the food was piping hot and tasted delicious. It's was great quality for the price too.

Great experience with a party of 7 of us having Dim Sum. Food was good, service excellent, ambience relaxed and well worth what we paid. We will defnitely come back again and it was a relief from the usual hustle bustle of Chinatown Sunday Dim Sum when restaurants hurry to get you out...

A lot of people eating when we came. So we decided to give it a try and had a couple of dishes. Food was ok, loads of MSG though that you could taste which made it really filling really fast. Couldn't even finish all the dishes. Then the payment came by, oh boy was it a shocker. What the other reviews saying they overcharge is true. They would add service charge and then add gratuity on top of the service charge. I was shocked that for about 4 dishes and 2 rice we were billed over a £100. The food was ok, but it was not worth the £100+. Definitely was a rip off.

I've eaten in alot of Chinese restaurants around Chinatown and this is one of the better ones. Service was quick and the staff where attentive plus the restaurant was clean.

Basically the best Chinese restaurant I have ever eaten at. Everything was amazing and the service couldn't have been better. From the beginning they have asked about possible allergies at the table and have offered us alternatives in some of the dishes, replacing seafood with chicken. A 10.

Fantastic Dim Sum!!!! We enjoyed our meal. We tried 10 items, cost was about £90, which I feel was reasonable for 4 people with drinks incld.

The food was nice enough (we had the dim sum) however they deserve no more than one star for their dodgy charging. When requesting the bill at the end of the meal, we were presented with the card machine with the total already programmed in. The server then requested a tip to be added via said card machine. With no itemised bill provided, it was only after we received the receipt that we realised that they had already added 12.5% 'service charge' to the total and then requested another 12.5% 'tip'. The unapologetic and confident manner of the waiter when doing this, combined with the lack of itemised bill at point of sale, makes it very clear that this is something they do often. So, whilst the food was perfectly acceptable, I could not recommend a place which is so obviously out to rip their customers off with 25% 'service'. Not worth the money.

The guy in the picture didn’t want us dining in. He first said there is minimum charge and then said food is not good. No idea what he was trying to do. MANAGEMENT - better take some action. Either a lunatic or he’s trying to run down your restaurant.

Had one of the best 干炒牛河 here 2 days ago. So glad to have great Chinese foods while away from home. The staffs and environment are also very nice. Would come back next time I visit London.

We checked the menu which showed outside. Price seems acceptable and let give a try. It is nice and delicious except the beef meal ball, too soft, can’t taste any. The service should got 1 star because 12.5% service charge CANNOT avoid even you are not happy with that, you need to order with minimum charge £15 per head which they never show or told you before you seated.

Spring roll ok, Dim Sum really good, Sweet sour king prawns needed more sauce and flavour, Szechwan chicken drier than the Sahara desert. Fast efficient service by a robot. Pretty average.

Rarely have Chinese food been as bad as it was here. Can't understand the good reviews. Starters and appetizers are even better than the main courses. There were 9 of us and everyone had something different but nothing was really good. It was really drafty at the top where we were sitting and we were cold. Food and drinks arrived quickly and the waiter was nice. The toilets are a disaster and in great need of renovation!

We came to eat in this restaurant on Saturday March 8, 2024 with my partner because the reviews seemed rather positive. We received a very cold welcome with barely any politeness. The waiter did not ask us our name for the reservation even though there are penalty fees if we had not come. The starters were quite good but the dishes (I had the chicken noodles and my partner had the fried chicken curry) were really tasteless. We were disappointed.

Come here if you want dim sum tasting experience! Reasonably priced, excellent presentation of the food and good portions. We tried a few new ones (such as golden egg yolk bun, sticky rice and mince wrapped in leaves). 3 plates per person and a noodle dish to share was enough for us.

Great meal. Checked out the menu while out shopping and came back that evening. Seated no problem (4) and was not too busy. Got busy quick though. Extensive menu with lots we recognised and lots new to try. Clean and tidy not all cramped in like some restaurants we peered through the window of. Service was prompt and efficient. Can't say friendly but wouldn't put us off coming again. E.g. we said bye and thank you for a lovely meal to the lady manning the door and we got a 'yes yes bye now' 😆 Would say be careful of the service charge.....menu states a 12.5% charge will be added but then the card machine asks about a tip too so beware. Was £130 for 4 of us which is most I've paid for a meal in a while but we thought not off the chart for heart of London with shared starters and a meal and a drink each with a couple of extras.

Never imagined fried rice could taste so disgusting

The ambience of this restaurant felt more like a school canteen. Loud, very bright lights. Service was OK, but no acknowledgement, only took the order/cleared the table. Had a variety of vegetarian options which were OK. Overall, average.

Another pretty average restaurant in china town. Food is ok, nothing special and nothing bad. We had a variety of Tofu dishes. The sweet and sour soup was like gravy - avoid that. The lighting is far too bright and it doesn’t exactly have a mood to it. Service is fine and they push for a tip on top of service charge. Restrooms are run down and need updating.

Pescatarian Our order seemed healthy, but it wasn't for us. The service was super speedy and proactive, and the portion size was decent. I ordered the egg fried rice veg (more veg would be nice, but you might have to order more on the side), veg spring roll, and prawn veg with a side of plain rice. The spring rolls were nice, but the rest was almost devoid of flavour (not sure if it was supposed to be like that), and I would've liked the prawn to be cooked more. I was surprised that there wasn't soy sauce in the egg friend rice as far as I knew, and the prawns came in this mysterious gloopy sauce.

Overpriced, re-heated food. Rubbish service. No atmosphere. Plenty better options in Chinatown.

Typically, in Chinatown, there are not that many restaurants I would recommend. San Chiu Dim is different. The dim sum was great, I had the chicken and pork buns. The noodles were cooked well and not overly oily. The sweet and sour (not pictured) actually had chicken breast under the batter. It also had great flavours and was fresh tasting (if that makes sense). My brother and friend had egg fried rice and said its the best egg fried rice they've ever had. A good selection on the menu, without being overwhelming. Portion sizes were fair, too, but the quality of the food stood out.

I visited San Chiu today for dinner with two of my friends. The service was terrible!!! We went at 11:00pm and asked if they were serving food. They said that they were and the last orders were at 11:15pm. However, the moment we got seated, they rushed us into ordering, was literally on top of our head going on asking us to order. We asked for 2mins to atleast open the menu and have a look. However, we managed and ordered whatever we could, and the waiter who was taking the order was so freaking rude, he literally took the order and told us on our face, “no more food, that’s all!” And that was not it. While eating, they randomly started picking plates from the table and started clearing even when there was some food left on the plates! Well, and that also is not even it. In the end when we asked for the bill, they added service charge which we asked them to remove. AND THEY DENIED TO REMOVE IT! Service charge is supposed to be DISCRETIONARY!!! And it is unethical to force customers not satisfied with the service at all, to pay service charge! Why the hell would you in the first place accept customers at the time of closing if you are not willing to serve food? MOST RUBBISH BEHAVIOUR AND WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!

Ti fanno pagare prima di sederti e per non appannare i vetri continuano ad aprire la porta e visto che c erano 3 gradi è stato piuttosto sgradevole mangiare al gelo.

We are there today and absolutely got disgusted. The waitress was really unsatisfied of our presence but she was not as worse as the food. Slimy duck with a watery sauce, 8 hours later it’s still coming to my mouth and I feel sick.

Les pattes de poulet, pas de goût. Boulettes de bœuf, trop de bicarbonate. Galette de navet et les brioches, c’était bon. Les viandes bbq c’est vraiment pas ça. A l’addition, on m’a compté 2 plats en trop, rectifiés après réclamation.

Horrible place, would not visit again! Had one of the worst dining experiences ever. The waitress was just incredibly rude and racist. overall the restaurant showed a lack of attention to detail. The food was very bland and nowhere near the level I’d expect for the price. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience, and I left very unhappy.
