We have had a lovely lunch today whilst waiting for our flight and I had the seafood pasta which was especially delicious!! 10/10! We were swiftly set and got our food in less than 10mins!!! We were kindly served by adriana luisa a very friendly and lovely woman x

Absolutely amazing food and service in beautiful surroundings

Firstly we had a floor manager shouting at staff right next to our table, then shouting cash or card at a customer from 5 meters away!? Our server spilt quite a lot of my coffee into the saucer and then again all over the table when I pointed it out! No apology or offer to replace it!! Then followed up by forgetting one of the drinks, again with no apology? My eggs Benedict arrived cold, and then the replacement food had rock hard sourdough and slightly undercooked eggs. I think some serious staff training is required both from the service aspect, in how to look after customers, and secondly how a manager should act and behave in front of house areas.

Service was very poor, we waited for drinks for a very long time and our food had arrived before the drinks. We had to request cutlery, and I ask for some mayonnaise that never came. The food was delicious but we witnessed below par food being served. A waiter said they didn’t feel comfortable serving an over cooked pizza but they said serve it anyway. Perhaps they don’t have to worry about return custom or people having the luxury of hanging around.

You have to ask the staff several times just to pay…slow service unless the server we had thought he was getting a tip!!! He loved those tables!

We have come in here a few times a year since it opened & it has always been fantastic, however, today I always ask to not have 2 sausages on my breakfast & have extra bacon instead (which has always been accommodated as i dont like sausage) but today even if I didn't have the 2 sausages included I had to pay for extra bacon. That was a disappointment & bad customer service, you can do that anywhere & always here too but no more. Hopefully it will get rectified to the old more customer focused way 🤞

This place is a real treat and a great way to kick start your holiday. Their breakfast’s are delicious and they serve up a really impressive eggs Benedict with homemade hollandaise. The kitchen and serving staff are all really lively and friendly too.

Very quick service despite how busy it was. However prices where abit steep but it’s what you would expect at an airport restaurant.

Food was great .. but £4.00 for 3 dashes of soda water ... really shameful !!!

I'm here for the second time, had a spaghetti carbonara...I have to say, once again very tasty! The prices are reasonable for an airport, the service is very friendly and attentive! Gladly again!

While you wait to be seated you can choose what food you want. Most of it is splattered over the menu. One you sat next to the filthy windowcil over looking the airport you can admire the inches of dirt over the kitchen canopy. Look through the execptionally dog earred drinks menu. At least the glasses were clean too hot to actually pick up as straight out the glass washer. Perfect for a cold water. Molly was lovely and food very acceptable however all at airport prices mind. However we were told off for trying to pay as our flight was called. Overall new menus and really good clean would rate this place far higher in my mind.

Very slow service , we were almost ignored even though there were several staff setting tables and moving chairs around when we finished our main meal , we were again ignored , nobody came to ask whether we wanted deserts , coffee etc , in the end we asked for the bill which was brought by an unhappy looking Blond woman , and we left , Cibo for us next time , better service better food !

Visited on 19 July before departing to France, as soon as you come up stairs it’s there and looks very inviting. Staff were wonderful although restaurant was not busy mainly due to not been able to take card payments due to global tech issues. I had a pizza which was nice a bit under done for me, my wife only had bruschetta and said it was ok. The staff made the experience so worth a visit.

Was told we can’t have any shaken drinks for example espresso martinis. Food was amazing as normal x

I ordered a caprese salad only. It was very expensive for half a tomato and poor quality ingredients. A shame really.

My pasta meal arrived and was really cold although the dish was really hot, the replacement arrived 15 minutes later which was hot once it has been mixed up. I also asked for Parmesan on my pasta and never received it would not dine here again

Eggs were undercooked. Everything else was very good. Food delivered on VERY hot plate which was nice but should have mentioned it before I touched it. Server was excellent!! She was friendly, patient, and confirmed my order for accuracy. Thank you, Carla Portland, Maine USA

Far too expensive £17.95 for a very small portion. Gluten free pasta was undercooked.

We travel abroad 5 or 6 times a year and have always dined at San Carlo. In the past the food and prices have been excellent but on our last visit this changed. Meatballs tastless and chewy also we had to ask for extra sauce. The wine has gone up by a huge amount. We will be dining elsewhere at Manchester Airport

This place is amazing! I had the English breakfast and they were very accommodating to dietary choices. It took a little while for the waitress to take my order, but once the order was made, they were quick to serve the food

What a surprise to find such a quality restaurant in an airport terminal. Fantastic, friendly, efficient staff. Exciting menu with something different for breakfast. Delicious food, fabulous atmosphere a perfect start for our Holliday. I couldn't recommend it more.

Staff lovely and efficient service

I’ve just had breakfast here while waiting for a delayed flight, and yes- it was very tasty- but it is 110% the staff that make the difference here. Honestly. Amazing. It is packed and there has never not been a queue (I was only in the queue for about 4 minutes). Not one of the 7 staff serving the tables have stopped moving, and yet none of them look harried or stressed. The level of professionalism is so impressive. The gentleman who served me was called Kaloyan and despite having several tables to attend to, still ensured that my food was all enjoyable and that I had everything I needed. Everything about the service is seamless, and what’s more is that they all seem to be happy in their work, which makes such a difference. I have been a hospitality manager for over 12 years and I would be incredibly proud of this team, and this organisation in general. Very very well done. 👏🏼

we had a lovely waiter, and food was lovely but was another waiter in the restaurant that had a fringe, dark hair and glasses who was being very rude to her colleagues, shouting and banging things on tables in front of customers, stressing and pacing and just made me uncomfortable and everyone seemed to be looking at her, not professional, even under stress you remain professional, no other staff members behaved like this even though they were very clearly busy.

Angelo Sousa was such an amazing server! In Manchester airport and honestly he was amazing the service was incredible! He needs a pay rise! But unfortunately the food was shocking! We go here all the time in Liverpool but in the airport wow it was shocking

One young lady behind the bar really didn’t look like she wanted to be there. Very upset looking and short with her answers just didn’t want to be there, there is one guy who was great, a tall blonde guy number one ☝️

My meal didn’t arrive as it was given to another table. My partner had nearly finished hers. Additionally, we were given a glass with a sharp broken glass on the rim! Not great

For me the best of all San Carlo’s in Manchester. At the airport of all places! The atmosphere could be better but that’s the location I believe. Great staff, superb service and a very nice menu.

Long queue, long wait to order food, food was tasty, very long wait before the bill came out.

Waitress took our order promptly but then we waited and waited. Quoted 7 mins of food to arrive it was sat on the pass ready to bring for 10 mins our server had disappeared. When we saw her and she said ‘oh you’ve not got your drinks.’ She chatted away whilst they were being made and we told her our breakfast was ready to bring and had been a while. It took 22 mins. No old you like any sauce or anything else. Gone off again. Food was great rubbish server with no care for customer’s needs. We’ve been before and all the servers we had previously were good. Had to find waitress to pay too.

Service is very slow … Waiter keep ignoring you when you try to wave for them . All foods come together , even the appetizer.. You may loss your flight in this restaurant.. be carful.. Food was not hot .. the pizza is very bad

The start of our summer vacation to Gran Canaria, wee popped into San Carlo Restaurant in Manchester T2 Airport. We had a fantastic waiter Tayfun who done an amazing job and looked after while have our family lunch, As you can see from the photos, food looks amazing and tastes great. Great service, Great Atmosphere and most importantly very tasty food. Thanks you The Brown Family.

Welcoming place to eat in Manchester Airport

We called in whilst waiting for our flight to Tenerife. On walking into the restaurant I asked the lady if we could sit near the window and she was very accommodating and managed to get us a window seat. Then one of the gents serving asked my pregnant girlfriend (only of 13 weeks - so very observant) if she wanted a comfy chair which was really nice! The food was good and the atmosphere was nice, the team seem to bounce off each other - definitely the best place we’ve had a drink/food at T2 so far. Thanks!

Extremely helpful with allergies, came with a tablet to filter out allergens to show what was available to eat. Amazing service from the staff from before you've been seated. Chef was lovely enough to share a recipe on how he makes his vegan ricotta. Food was 12/10!!!! Will definitely be back next time I'm at the airport!

We had breakfast at Manchester Airport. Superb. Waiter Callum was on point. I’m a Chef so I know a thing or two about the industry. Food great. Good price point. Service Awsome.

I was really taken aback that people were queuing to get into the three or four “diners” at MAN T2 today, and really disappointed at the choice on offer; but, theres a sign on the door of San Carlo that says something like “youll wait no longer than nine minutes to receive your food from the point of placing your order. ” so we thought it looked like the best shot. It was 3PM on a Sunday in a relatively quiet airport and what myself and my companion had not considered was that we had to wait about fifteen minutes to get a seat, then a further ten or so before anyone took our order. We ordered and sure as eggs is eggs our order came in less than ten minutes. My companion had ordered Spinach Ravioli with a salad, and I a Salmon Salad, both were good enough but neither were as described. The Ravioli was very dry and the Salmon Salad had some bizarre chilli dressing on it which didn’t really go with the delicate flavour of Rosemary Roast Potatoes that I was expecting. The staff were nice enough, though rushed off of their feet; god knows how they cope when the airports busy. There was no atmosphere to speak of, and it all felt a bit like a motorway service station, which to be fair is kind of what it is. Would I go back? Given the other options at T2, its probably the healthy choice, but Id be much more exacting about my order being as described rather than accepting what turned up. Would I recommend San Carlo? Its OK, about as good as a Tesco pre-pack meal, but three times the price. So a mediocre meal with a bottle of water came in at around £45.00. for two people, which is not cheap.

Excellent service, wine and food.. what a find! Family of 5 adults, mixed dietary requirements, all met and quality of food and presentation and service all great... but we did arrive early and by 8 pm it was very busy.

Food was ok but we had the pizza and there was no topping on it? Should have been chicken but you would need a magnifying glass to see it. We had approximately 2 hours to kill before the gate closure time and believe me, you need that! Overall, not great 😠

Our family of five ate here before an early morning flight to Amsterdam. Service was friendly and efficient and the food was quick to arrive and delicious. The Works breakfast sandwich is highly recommended.

The bacon sandwich used bread that was twice as thick as it needed to be. The bacon was ok but a little too salty for me.

Slow service and cold food. Table next to till. Had to send one meal back and then a long wait for it to reappear. Ordered a second drink but then had to flag waiter down for missing milk….another long wait and then a cold coffee. Won’t be in a hurry to visit again. Not good for the San Carlo brand.

FOOD POISONING - stay away! Came here this week, my boyfriend fell ill that evening, extremely sick. The following morning we spoke to our friend who had also been very sick, they both ate the same thing. Service was also awful.

Breakfast was absolutely terrible. The beans are in a tomato soup the eggs were all sloppy. Bacon was hard, toast was cold, smallest mushroom I’ve ever seen and 2 rock hard, cold tomatoes! Never again!

Not bad for airport food. As per very overpriced. Pot of tea good, as was the coffee although only warm especially with cold milk. Frittata was an omelette, and for price disappointing, but nice ingredients. The two cherry vine tomatoes were tasty as was the sprig of leaves. Sausage toastie was tasty, it very thick bread that was dry, but with added butter was fine. Nice place which would have received a 5 on atmosphere, except we were seated at the main station. One young staff member made a mistake and when they left the station could hear the staff and ? manager talking about her.

Stopped for a light breakfast departing Manchester Airport. Coffee and the gluten free toast / marmalade both good. Granola and yogurt excellent. Service also very good. Thanks 👍🏼.

I was seated for almost a half hour before a waiter came to take an order and then I got the order and that was it I didn’t have the opportunity to order anything else because the service was so poor I think maybe understaffed for the volume? Took ages to get a waiter to bring me my check. Food was in but overpriced for what I got

His recommendations were spot on, introducing us to some delicious dishes we might have overlooked. The food was great, but Angelo’s friendly and attentive service truly stood out. He really made our meal enjoyable and stress-free, which was exactly what we needed before our flight. Thank you, Angelo, for making our visit special.
