The food was nice but the problem is me and my boyfriend got food 30 minutes after each other so by the time we could eat, his food was cold. The whole atmosphere was bad, clearly not enough staff in the restaurant. Many people got their food late and as a result were complaining and taking it out on the serversb. Our waitress was called paris and she was very nice and apologetic about the whole situation but the off putting. Please take this as constructive criticism!

I had an amazing time for valentine's day with my partner. Even if we arrived late, the service was still impressive and the food was great. The scenery is gorgeous. Would recommend for a romantic night. Perfect for a girl's night as well. Definitely coming back !

The room was cold and had an incessant Bruno Mars album on repeat. The service was attentive but uncoordinated and due to the absolute shockingly disgusting food, it felt like it was an attempt to disguise the experience. Be warned there is a £2.50 per person mandatory charge for a compulsory starter bread basket. This bread again tries to disguise itself as Italian style but is just old, stale, rubbery bread from heaven only knows how long ago. My partner is gluten free and it was only after having this bread for half an hour that she was warned, despite the bread coming out after she had disclosed her allergy when we ordered. The pizza and Calzone were drowning in oil. The cheese on the Calzone was midway between melted and curdled and the whole thing was so bland and tasteless. The sauce was tasteless. The dough was ok. But the real problem was the oil, it left a coating on our tongues for the rest of the afternoon. The cutlery was not sharp enough so it was a battle to cut a bite. Mistakes were made. Be warned this looks like a upscale dining experience but is anything but.

Last night, for Valentine's Day, my wife invited me to eat a pizza at Michele's. Initially I was skeptical because, in my humble opinion, a good pizza outside Naples and especially outside Italy "in England" was a sacrilege, but in the end kei was right and I had to change my mind. Last night for Valentine's Day I managed to convince my husband to take him to dinner at Michele's ancient pizzeria and I hit the mark. He changed his mind and thanked me for the wonderful evening. the food was okay, nothing special but this company is disgusting. Card tips don’t go to waitresses and if you do decide to put one on it goes right to the restaurant. There is a mandatory “cover charge” of £2.50 per person that the restaurant takes that comes with a dry stale piece of bread and some oil, if it were up to us we would have never bought it so why charge for it without informing us? Our waitress was amazing but we saw the manager talking to her like she was scum! He was so rude to her that it made us uncomfortable, management should never talk to servers like that regardless of the situation. Nobody carries cash anymore so card tips should be allowed for waitresses especially when the company doesn’t take service charge (most likely so they don’t have to split it between the staff and can keep the “cover charge” all for themselves) I would never come again, Ruined my valentine’s day completely.

The service was terrible, staff was very rude. I had to wait 40 minutes for my food to arrive after my partners arrived, my partners pizza came stone cold, once my bolognese arrive it tasted like cat food. We asked the manager for discount on the food as we didn’t eat most of it and did not enjoy it at all, the manager argued over us and did not come across as a polite man. I would not recommend this restaurant at all.

Lovely ambience, great food and staff.

Our experience was absolutely awful. The service was nonexistent; we had to wave to get the staff’s attention multiple times, and we weren’t the only ones. The four tables around us were also waving just to get noticed. When our main course arrived, the side dish took another 15 minutes to come, and that was only after we reminded the waiter we had ordered it. The food was bland with no taste at all. On top of that, they bring bread and oil as a starter without asking, and then they charge you for it! As people who work in the industry, this was a shameful experience. The waitress didn’t even ask if we had any allergies when taking our order, and there was no check-back to see if our food was okay. Honestly, we wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

They accommodated us a party of five which was great at 5.30 pm on a Saturday. Food was excellent, enormous pizza, generous size garlic bread. Individual dishes were adequate. They even had take out boxes for leftovers. The only points that would make me consider booking this restaurant, the temperature of the building was on the cool side and the attention from some members of staff was lacking. We didn't get our drinks delivered with or before food and had to remind staff twice that we hadn't received our drinks order. Coffee served lukewarm.

We felt like at home. My wife and I spent an excellent evening at the Antico Pizzeria da Michele and ate an excellent Neapolitan pizza as per tradition. Very kind staff and highly qualified pizza chefs made in NAPLES. Mandatory stop for all Neapolitans and beyond.

I recently visited **L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele** and had an incredible dining experience. The pizza was cooked to perfection in their traditional fire oven, which added an authentic touch to the overall experience. The best pizza outside of Italy. The pizzas are bigger than the dish they're served on, tasty and filling. Chef Paolo is really the best, and Yolanda welcomes you with open arms that it's almost like getting a hug from mum. Definitely THE place for a good pizza in a family atmosphere, will definitely be back!

Unfortunately and I underline unfortunately, I find myself forced to review this restaurant despite the excellent service and the beautiful environment: I find it necessary to understand whether it was a coincidence that I felt bad, or whether some changes are appropriate. In fact, I ordered a Sausage and broccoli, with vegan dough, even though I am not vegan, because I struggle to digest traditional dough, and even in Italy I always take kamut, or spelled, or wholemeal dough. Here I wasn't told what the dough was and I didn't ask since I didn't see any options on the menu, so I trusted the only dough available that wasn't the traditional one. Let's start with the seasoning: too much, literally too much. It would be enough for 3 people, maybe more. And, since I don't like to waste food, even though it was too much I wanted to finish it. Let's move on to the dough: never eaten something with a similar taste. I repeat, I don't know what it was, and I was expecting kamut or spelled (at least in Italy the alternatives are always those). I ate something that tasted very strange. Finally, there was too much oil, it overflowed everywhere and left my hands very greasy. Too much, too much oil. That certainly didn't help either. Moral of the story, I felt sick as soon as I finished the last slice with difficulty, despite being 28 years old and used to eating a lot. I drank as much water as I could and headed to the hotel, walking, making an immense effort: my heart was begging for mercy. A pizza shouldn't make you feel sick, I also ask the restaurant at this point if perhaps it wouldn't be better to reduce the ingredients and reconsider vegan doughs. It's really a shame because I really wanted to go to a nice restaurant in a place like this, and as an Italian I'm doubly sorry to leave a negative review, but guys, I was really sick, and it's the first time after eating a pizza. I hope it can be a constructive review for this beautiful and prestigious, and Italian, restaurant.

The place is very pretty but it is cold and the atmosphere is spoiled by the loud modern music. The food is good. We had the carbonara and the truffle pizza. The service is deplorable. We had to ask to take our order even though two tables set up after us had already ordered. They brought us the dishes even though we had not finished the starter. We skipped dessert due to the service. Damage. A word of advice: order a pizza to take away or for delivery and save yourself the restaurant service.

Good food, appalling service 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 Napoletana pizza I ordered was missing the main ingredient, anchovies. When I mentioned it to a member of staff my pizza was taken away and then the same pizza was given back to me with some anchovies added on top. I would have been absolutely fine with it, had the staff owned up to the mistake and apologised. These things happen. But I was told that the anchovies were already there under the cheese and it's basically my fault I haven't noticed them. Come on. The flavour of anchovies is so strong there's no way I missed it. Ruined the experience 😐

Really cold. All had to wear our coats and when we mentioned how cold it was to the waiter he said "yeah, we get alot of complaints about that". Clearly needs fixing then, made for a very uncomfortable experience!

To be honest I wasn't expected it that bad!! Came last night with a friend . Restaurant half empty. So we had 3 different waters coming at our tables asking me if I was finish regarding my friend is still eating . Prerry annoying . Quality of pizza!! Honestly except it was a large pizza I Don t know where you bought the ingredient but fir sure they are not fresh!! 1 simple ingredients is the mushroom. They are from a can . Not even fresh!! Artichoke absolutely tasteless from a can. Sorry but I have 20 years of hospitality and this pizza went to wrong hand. Cover charge for 4 pieces of old bread!!2.50 GBP per person .. my friend had rhe proxiutto and rocket pizza and that s she gets no more. Not even a bit of shave parmesam or dressing. Prosciutto was vert blend . I wanted to put 0 star fir food but couldn't. Honestly you will do a better pizza at home . Sorry it s pricey and bad.

I had a really nice dinner with my family. The restaurant was incredibly pleasing to the eyes and it provided me with a sense of calmness and relaxation. I thoroughly enjoyed my food and would recommend the restaurant to people who want a flavor of Italy.

A very pleasant experience, the pizza was delicious and the prices affordable. Yolanda did everything possible to make us feel at home, she even played Christmas carols for us! Super recommended :)

Walk in on a Saturday night 6pm and plenty of availability. Too much availability - no people no atmosphere. Beautiful building but very cold portable heaters were dotted about but many people eating in coats. Drinks very very expensive 50ml vodka £12 +++ mixer extra. Biggest comment was the male waiter was very rude. I wanted to keep the laminated menu to check other things to order but he insisted he took it incase I got it dirty ?? It’s a laminated piece of paper ? Really rude and whole experience was ruined. They charge you mandatory 2.50 to sit down and bring you a slice of bread to justify it. Spaghetti was like M&S microwave. Mushroom and truffle pizza was actually really good. Mixed experience but wouldn’t recommend. To add the next day had awful belly pains and toilet habit so not sure what their kitchen hygiene cleanliness is like.

Ordered on uber eats pizza was discussing the cheese was rock hard and pizza a soft dough not cooked through and arrived cold. Was drenched in ketchup

If we'd of known how big the pizza was would definitely not of ordered sides, they are bigger than the plate, so tasty and filling couldn't finish it. Set inside a beautiful building, you need to look up to appropriate it. Only downside was it wasn't busy so did lack atmosphere, but there was football and a concert going on at the same time. But definitely worth a visit would highly recommend.

Quiet lunchtime. Big place with cold spots. Food was good, service was fine until after the food...they seemed to have a prob with the coffee order. Had the place been full & busy then ok, but with only 3 other tables... Might give it another go......

Just left after being sat and waiting for 20 mins without being asked for drinks order or food order. Staff were clearing tables and taking payments but seems we were invisible. Not sure it was noticed when we left.

Lacking in atmosphere on this December Monday afternoon as we were only 1 of 2 tables in this very spacious restaurant. Staff pleasant. Meals average. Nothing wrong but certainly had better calzone and carbonara.

Fancy location in a former bank building - great look and atmosphere, the food was very good (had Pizza Diavola and Penner Arrabiata) and the service was great - highly recommended. Prices are quite high for us Germans, but that's more general and not restaurant-related

Went in on a Friday night at 8pm with no booking. No atmosphere which is no ones fault but shows how the level of service has gone down recently. The server that helped us was very pushy on giving us alcohol when we didn't want it. Twice. The bolognaise I ordered was nearly £19 for a tiny portion. The establishment feels very tacky and fake. seems like a Greek temple made of out plastic within a warehouse. Not the greatest experiencing and could definitely do with some improvements listed.

I came here with my friend on a random Wednesday and I can say the service was 10/10 the food very very delicious I had a Pizza and I just felt like I’m italy again, and the pizza was huge, also the staff was very friendly

Had to come here since visting the London branch and it did not disappoint. Slight difference in the presentation (a lot less olive oil vs London), but I prefer the Capriccioa from here. As well as the friendly (and informative) staff. Repurposed a Victorian bank and worth a visit for the atmosphere alone. Edit: another visit a year later, still my favourite pizza place. Yolanda was a delight as well.

I ended up there by chance, I was passing through, and I wanted to try the pizza. As an Italian I usually don't trust pizzas abroad, but this one was very good. Thin, not at all heavy and chewy like some pizzas. The place is very beautiful, it is a former bank from the early 1900s. And, last but not least, Yolanda and Fatou are very kind and very good! Yolanda in particular is very nice, and I stood talking to her in Italian, given that as a Spanish speaker she speaks it well, having lived in Italy. Highly recommended restaurant!

Terrible service. We refused to pay the service charges, and the manager rudely swore and claimed we had spent 3 hours in the restaurant. In reality, most of that time was spent waiting for the food, which was served dish by dish with significant delays. (Soggy pizza) We even had to repeatedly ask for basic necessities like plates—five times in total! On top of that, the staff kept pressuring us to order dessert, making us feel rushed and unwelcome. We couldn’t even enjoy the experience or take photos. Avoid this place! As an Italian I wouldn't recommend their pizza.
