This restaurant is fantastic the quality of the food and the great menu makes it special . Lovely setting and great people .

Spent a couple of hours having lunch. We had lobster ravioli, crab salad and halibut. All delicious and served by lovely mannered and beautiful waiters. We will definitely go back

This the latest incarnation of San Carlo Cicchetti, the nationwide chain of Italian small to medium plates whose branches invariably settle in or very close to large shops, is opposite the back entrance to Harrods in Hans Road. In what was until recently a sober-fronted menswear outlet two rooms have Ben converted into a bar and dining room the latter decorated with oil paintings and an orange-coloured Art Deco style frieze on one wall. The food is equally stylish and classy. We had a succession of delights from a plate of salumi hams and artichoke to a more conventional salad of burrata, avocado and tomatoes once known as tricolore, then a pasta with beef ragu, a breaded veal escalope which was a substantial meal in itself before a sharing plate of battered squid and prawns. To round things off ice creams and a chocolate bombs whose costing mortally exploded when hit with liquid chocolate to reveal a fior di latte interior.
