Cercavo un ristorante curato, ma non impegnativo e mi sono imbattuto in questa struttura. personale gentile, cibo ottimo, Attesa limitata, prezzo contenuto.

Esperaba más de un restaurante que dice servir comida galardonada. Nuestra comida llegó dentro de los 10 minutos de pedido, lo que significa que claramente no fue hecho fresco para nosotros. Cuando llegó hacía frío así que lo enviamos de vuelta. La red salió sin los lados, así que nos comimos los lados por separado después. Pero la comida era promedio incluso cuando estaba caliente. ¡Muy poco experimentado! El gerente tomó los lados y el servicio que era considerado, sin embargo, todavía terminamos pagando una cantidad significativa para la red que no era grande. En general, como experiencia de San Valentín fue bastante pobre. No volveremos ya que la comida estaba claramente en el microondas y sosa. Yo lo llamaría una trampa turística lo mejor posible.

Von aussen sehr vornehm Personal freundlich. Wir haben nur eine Minestrone,Bruscetta, Scalopine Lemone und Spaghetti Carbonara bestellt. Die hauseigene Butter und die Brötchen bekammen wir nicht, ( Vielleicht weil wir nicht wie VIP bestellten ? ) Die Minestrone war wässrig und das Gemüse dürfte aus der Büchse gewesen sein Die Bruscetta wqar nicht vorgeschnitten und das Brot eilweise zu schwarz Bei den Spaghetti Carbonar musste man den Speck/Schinken mit der Lupe suchen. Bei der Scalopine wurde nur Fleisch serviert ohne Beilagen.Wir wurden auch nicht informiert, das man diese ev. zusätzlich bestellen muste. Wir hatten den Eindruck, als seien wir Gäste der 2.Klasse. Hohe Preise. Es gibt bessere Italienische Lokale in London

Claramente promedio... No es una buena experiencia. Nos dejaron media hora antes de que pudiéramos hacer nuestro pedido de bebidas. Luego nos trajeron nuestra red antes de que hubiéramos tenido nuestros entrantes. La morena era sosa. Literalmente unos cuantos tomates cherry en un poco de ciabatta, sin pesto, sin aceite de oliva o condimento. Luego obtuvimos nuestra red (por segunda vez). Mi marido dijo que su boloñesa en tagliatelle era sosa. Tenía el pez monje. Estaba ligeramente sobrecocinado. Las patatas asadas estaban remojadas y el brócoli de tallo tierno estaba frío (lo devolví). El vino blanco, la crema y la salsa de tomate tenían un sabor extraño. No nos molestamos en postre. En su defensa, se dieron cuenta de que nuestra experiencia no había sido buena y por lo tanto nos dieron dinero de la cuenta, pero no quisimos volver.

I wish I could give this “restaurant” 0 STARS. NON-EXISTENT hospitality. Rude and RACIST staff. This restaurant racially profiled a group of people and refused to serve them in the restaurant!!! Do not go here.

After having an enjoyable meal at San Carlo in August, we decided to book a table last Saturday evening to celebrate a family members 70th birthday. The evening started well and the first course was provided without issue. Initially we did not feel rushed, which can be the case at some restaurants, but the wait for the main course did start to become noticeable. It was eventually served over 1hr and 40 minutes after first taking our seats. All of the meals were warm at best, except for my husbands meal which was served stone cold, to the point that the sauce served with his steak had started to congeal. We asked for the steak to be replaced. After another wait and questioning the staff as to its whereabouts, the same steak was returned to the table, with the congealed sauce scrapped off and a new, less congealed sauce served on the side. When the plates were cleared, we made the server aware and they agreed to remove the meal from the bill. We waited again to be provided with dessert menus, and by the time the server returned to take our order we had decided not to bother ordering as by this point we were feeling completely ignored. The service charge was not included on the bill, which went some way to relieving the disappointment we felt for what was meant to be a celebratory occasion. We will not be returning to San Carlo.

Muy decepcionado. Pedimos 2 parmigiana como entrada y estaba fría y no tenía el mismo buen gusto que antes. La sopa de lentejas era bastante espesa y la ensalada sin aderezos. Aunque sugirieron darnos otra parmigiana pero nos negamos. He tomado la decisión de ir a este restaurante, así que me sentí avergonzado por no tomar la decisión correcta. No iré de nuevo.

Excelente comida, servicio y ambiente. Mi esposa y yo cenamos aquí a media tarde y disfrutamos de un entrante compartido de Bruschetta, Monkfish en un plato principal de tomate y vino blanco, un plato principal de boloñesa Tagliatelle, ambos con guarniciones adicionales, con un Tiramisu para terminar. Me encantó y recomendaría. Todo por un precio muy justo

Experiencia decepcionante, a pesar de que mi comida principal era bastante buena. Se sorprendió al cobrar por el agua y el pan. Realmente un poco cambiante para ser honesto. Lo mencioné cuando estaba pagando y el gerente dijo que esto es típico en Londres. Quizás fue algo cultural, pero creo que sería más apropiado informar a los clientes con una pregunta como, ¿quiere pan por 5 libras extra? Como estadounidense, no se cobra por pagar a los clientes. Vive y aprende. No iré allí de nuevo. Parecía haber otro restaurante italiano justo al otro lado de la calle. Ojalá hubiera ido allí.

Visited this restaurant following a day in London to celebrate my wife's birthday. After a great day, finished with a superb meal here. The food was of a great quality, service was excellent & general ambience made for a most enjoyable day. Will visit again when next in Central London.

In general everything was great (food, beverages). Except service in the terrace, waiters literally ignored us. So we went inside. In inside service was superior.

After deciding late in the evening on a Saturday night , we decided to come to San Carlo as it was a high reputation and having been to two San Carlo restaurants in Manchester previously, We was greeted with a smile by a lady , quickly seated us as we was 20 minutes early , We was then greeted by our waiter for the evening , don’t catch his name but in a recent review he is in a picture, We ordered our drinks and food , we had to ask 3 times for a bottle of water , which never came I till we had to ask for a 4th time , the food was amazing , had the asparagus & mozzarella balls , amazing both of them , me & my wife had fillet Pepe varda with potatoes & truffle chips and amazing cooked to perfection, Out deserts I had the tiramisu love it best one ever had , we wanted a coffee to finish the night but felt rushed as the waiter who served us kept walking past looking at his watch so we felt a bit uncomfortable I would only suggest if you won’t like people dining late then don’t take the booking , or have your waiter walking around making gestures to his watch , otherwise we enjoyed our meal like we did in Manchester

I had a lovely dinner while on a work trip. The spaghetti bolognese was great and just what I needed at the end of a long work day. I forgot an electronic and the staff was kind enough to save it for me to retrieve it the next morning. Will be back for sure!

Came with my teenage daughter on a warm summers night. We sat outside. Setting was lovely. We enjoyed our whole dining experience. Staff were attentive and friendly

We are regular visitors to San Carlo and we absolutely love all the staff They are so passionate and if you take the time to get to know them, they will take the time to get to know you. we were very lucky to meet Carlo the owner of the group and he is a real inspiration to all of us and a real grafter. Most people his age are retiring he is just getting started. We can all learn a lot from an individual like this, he loves his customers. He loves his staff. We were served by a lovely gentleman who have been served by before his name is Concetto he gave a great recommendation of Wine and main course and we totally trust him such a professional and an asset to the Son Carl group. We cannot speak hardly enough about the staff and the food and we are grateful for that great service and kindness towards us.❤️🙏🏾♥️

We visited on Friday 8th March we had a wonderful experience. From the host on arrival Irena and her team were all very professional friendly and attentive and all wanting to make our visit special. The food was beautifully presented and absolutely gorgeous. San Carlos food is divine and would recommend to anyone visiting for the whole experience. Thank you San Carlos Regent Street.

The food and the service were very disappointing. We diidn’t deserve the pasta whichwas not freshly cooked and with not enough sauce. It wasn’t our first time here and we won’t come back.

Diabolical service Took 25 minutes and three attempts to get a vodka and Coke right It took 45 minutes to get food, and when the food came, it was our mains and not our starters A further 10 minutes to get a manager Needless to say we left without eating

Very poor service lets down the kitchen. Food was great, but we felt like an inconvenience to the staff. Abruptly told that we could not order drinks (even soft drinks) at 2250h. We were still eating starters. In what world can you not serve soft drinks after 11pm ?? No commonsense on show here. Afer paying the bill we were practically chased out the door. Won't be back. BTW, if you see a response from the restaurant under neath this review it proves thaey don't read them. No response please.

Whilst the pasta dish I had was delicious it was served tepid. I sent it back, it was returned very quickly and whilst an improvement, it was still only warm. I don’t understand why a dish can’t be served hot. The other issue was the slow service which isn’t acceptable when we had been told that the table would be required back after 2 hours. The service staff were not attentive resulting in us having to ask to order wine and the same when we ordered food. The service team all looked as if they would rather be somewhere else which wasn’t a good customer experience. It was such a shame the pasta could have been exceptional but I see no excuse for tepid food and poor service in a well run restaurant.

If you want to feel how to be treated like garbage go to San Carlo on Regents Street! The worst waitress was serving me and my family. She was so rude and had no boundaries in showing her disrespect to us. When we tried to call the other waiter, she somehow managed to give him other thighs to carry about. She is the disgusting person!

We spent the day in London, pre-booking this restaurant for midday. First people in seated and all seemed fine. Ordered starters and main dishes. The anti pasti was basically what you could do yourself from Aldi and not worth £15 per head. Main dishes failed to come out for ages. Others around us had their starters and main meals whilst we waited patiently. An hour had passed and we were on a time table so needed to leave. The food came out it was cold. It was pasta and rissoto so shouldn’t have been sat around getting cold. The staff appear used to this and we sent it back and they took this off the bill. We have been to the Manchester Resturant a few times which knocks the socks of this place. I’m sure the transient customers means they’re not bothered and rely on the name alone as the service and food was poor (and very expensive). We won’t return.

The lighting is shocking. It’s like sitting in Victoria station. If you want a very casual dinner then this could work for you. Food was tasteless, sorry. We booked the wrong san carlo.

My wife and I made an online reservation and visited San Carlo for dinner on a Saturday evening following a matinee theatre show. On arrival and upon entering the front of house hostess did not even bother to greet or welcome us but just asked - ''Have you made a reservation'' and this interaction really summed up our whole experience. We were seated on the street level dinning area and when we were shown to our table and seated the lighting was so bright that I thought I was sitting in the Operating Theatre of Charing Cross Hospital - not quite the ambience for a pleasant Italian dinner in a West End restaurant. We started with an Insalata Tricolore served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar which was very tasty and nicely presented and a Selection of Italian Bread served with sundried tomato & black olive tapenade which was a great selection of homemade breads and the tapenades were a delicious accompaniment. This was followed by our mains and this is where the whole meal and service just went downhill. My wife ordered a Sole in a white wine & mushroom sauce with 2 sides of Sautéed potatoes and French beans with shallots & butter. I ordered the Spaghetti Frutti Di Mare. My wife's sole was swimming in oil/butter with no white wine sauce and as for the mushrooms, they looked to be just sautéed and thrown on top of the fish. Hardly a delicate and elegant dish like sole should be. As for the sautéed potatoes they were again swimming in oil, not drained and definitely not crispy like they should be served. The French Beans were half brown and half green, drenched in oil/butter and looked so wrinkled like they'd been overcooked or microwaved. They certainly did not taste fresh and crunchy/al dente and the colour was totally off. My seafood spaghetti although quite tasty, the portion of seafood was smaller than I've had in many other Italian restaurants and was overcooked & rubbery and not delicately cooked like seafood should be. When our mains were brought to the table and placed in front of us the waiting staff after clearing the starters did not even reset the table for the mains and I had to ask for cutlery for our main course. This should have been done prior to the food arriving. Having worked for some 40 years in the food and catering industry my overall gut feeling was that although the restaurant was not full at all upstairs it just felt that the food was rushed, and not prepared by chefs that are passionate and proud of their culinary skills. That seemed to resonate from the management downwards. To top it all the service from the maître d was quite disgusting. Firstly when I called him over to show him and discuss the problem with the French beans I pulled out my mobile phone and showed him a photo of what French green beans should look like and that I had eaten only 3 weeks early at a restaurant while holidaying in Florida and he had the cheek to say to me that he had never seen beans like that before. These beans are sold in every supermarket and fruit and vegetable market in the UK but I suppose working at San Carlo he is never likely to see French beans like I had in Florida because I don't believe the kitchen is capable of producing and presenting food of this quality and appearance. Then to crown it all the same maître d deducted the beans, brought us the bill and did not even attempt to offer us a dessert menu. I suppose he just wanted us to leave as much as we wanted to get out of the Operating Theatre. I've given you an honest review of my experience and my advice to anyone thinking of dinning there - STAY AWAY AND DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY

Lovely restaurant , in a great location . Wonderful service , charming people . But for me something wasn’t right . I excepted food to be better then it was . My lobster wasn’t that great. To be honest bit disappointed!

Having booked a pre theatre dinner here as it was close to Harold Pinter theatre I read some reviews. Mostly not favourable. I have to say we had a very good meal. Service was good. It’s quite expensive but I would return here again.

We booked for a birthday meal whilst staying close by in Leicester Square, a regular at the Leeds restaurant so thought it would be a safe bet. Seated down stairs in a room like a sauna, even the waiter was sweating and complaining, we did try move upstairs but they said it was to busy, throughout the meal dishes were missed off each course, I strongly recommend the waiter to use an order pad if you can’t remember the order, also check your bill at the end ours had extra items on it. Have to say my meal was delicious but not all the diners were happy this time. Such a shame!

Hello San Carlos, I am shocked that after the various incidents that our family experienced, that an email would be sent. I assume this is a form letter as there is simply no empathy in it. Regardless, please take us off this email list as the manager Fransceco has unfortunately no experience being a manager for 3 months at this restaurant. From the point that he received to the point that one if his waiter brings out a bill instead of the dessert menu was the most atrocious. It is often quite hilarious to hear the restaurants in the group that we go to be little Fumo, which out of all the restaurants when you had Gian Franco was the best our of all of them. It is a pity, but the great part is that there are still restaurants i.e. Murano, Bocca di Luppo who don't judge their customers but rather service them.

We paid £73 for two very indifferent bowls of pasta. I had black ravioli which just wasn’t nice! It was undercooked pasta stuffed with some sort of fatty nasty stuff. I sent the first attempt back because it was cold. The bill included a £5 bottle of water and one brushetta that was just bread with loads of tomatoes. The garlic was noticeably absent. The service was very good but the management need to value their customers by giving them decent food for the prices they are charging. Its a lovely location but there’s no excuse for bad food.
