Had food from here and for two days later was seriously ill. Response from the staff was no body else has complained so there was nothing wrong with the food!!!

Rice very greasy. Person that took order over the phone was not listening sending our order completely wrong.

This is the second time I've had egg fried rice from here with hair in it 🤢🤢🤢🤢

Been eating here for over 10 years. Love the egg fried rice, singapore fried rice, and chow mein. Staff are great :))

Don’t know what has happened to this place , I have been ordering from her for 30 years plus and there fried rice is more like boiled rice no colour to it at all and there chicken Chinese style with beansprouts is awful the beansprouts were raw and the chicken used to be a nice chicken breast with gravy but it now comes with batter on it all mushy and it clearly looks like a Birds Eye crispy chicken from a box, rang them to complain as it cost over £30 and they refuse to refund and said then will add some credit for next time and I clearly said that I will not order ever again, they seriously need to get their act together , awful would not recommend at all

We ordered food to chill out.. Pancake rolls were basically bean sprouts in pancake. Sweet and sour ok. Beef was really tough. Very disappointed cos they used to be spot on.

Made a very large order for collection this evening. Food was cooked and waiting, got home and it smelt fantastic and was still piping hot. Served it up; chips were hard, onions were burnt, beef had a funny taste, and was very raw looking on the inside when cut. The whole family now have bad stomachs after this meal. Won’t be going back.

Useless travelled there especially due to ratings. Got order completely wrong. This was found out when got the food home. Even had the cheek to insist on travelling all the way back there to supposedly put the order right. Told them not to bother as will NEVER go near there ever again. If you go there for food make absolutely sure they give you the right food before you leave.

Have eaten from here for 14+ years always the same order . Loved it. Last 2 times ordering ( hoping that on the 1st they were having an off day) special fried rice was so dry and tasteless the chips were powdery and stale tasting. Egg fried rice you had to smother in curry ..not ideal. So dont waste your money maybe a different cook or cheaper ingredients no idea.

Absolutely agree with stu magoo, Looking forward to my proper meal, and not what I had. This is what I got when I ordered it. Super noodles with a bit of chicken and beef, Little chunks of something that's, I don't know what, maybe they just added to make it taste nice, but very, very bland. Maybe the noodles didn't want to perform on my visit. The curry sauce in a pot saved the day I suppose, but it's not very nice to add a curry sauce to a chew mein that you have already ordered, that Back tracks the idea of having a tasty Chinese meal. And having the curry sauce as extra, so you can dip your crackers in ( pun included) I haven't been to Sammys for about 10 years, and I must say, that it's gone down hill a very long way to be honest. There are better takeaways than this in the surrounding areas, but was really excited about going to a institutional Chinese that's been there since I was a kid. Very very very disappointed about my meal, Wish I could take a picture, that would give the super noodle brand a plug. Better off avoiding to be honest. And Sammys, before you reply, that's if you do reply ? if you did good meals and not skip on the product that it's supposed to be, maybe your ratings and your actual food taste reviews might go up. I only gave you 1 star to comment to be honest, if it was down to zero I'd give you minus zero, In my words only, dreadful. Avoid at all costs.

Avoid compared to other Chinese takeaways in Cardiff, fried rice was oily, "King prawn" dish had the tiniest prawns in them which I'm convinced aren't king at all, and the chow mien was basically dry noodles. Would upload the photos of what they sent us but there seems to be no option

Ordered a meal chicken and spring onion when I got home it was prawn and vegetables when I phoned and told them.he said in will phone you back in 5 mins 20 mins later I phoned them and he putbtje phone down on me .. let's get in th he car and take it back myself... RUBBISH

I took a chance and it paid off! Singapore noodle dish but I asked for roast duck in it - flippin lursh! Worth every penny

I've been eating here for decades. The food was always great but now it's terrible. The portions have decreased and the price has increased. Not only that, the quality has decreased too. I would stay away. However, I would recommend Chop Suey house in Albany road or the one opposite, Happy House. Great portions.

If you want a cup of salt in your food then this is the place to go

Just to ensure I don't order from there again by mistake......pretty sure the chow mein was made with super noodles, you don't forget what super noodles taste like and that was super noodles mun!!!!

Ordenado para llevar el 27 de octubre - y fue muy decepcionado con la calidad. El menú de chow de verduras prácticamente no tenía verduras y los fideos parecían y sabían como fideos instantáneos baratos. Toda la comida era de color beige y sin sabor, excepto las algas crujientes que estaban tan cubiertas de azúcar que no era comestible. No volveremos y aconsejo a todos con paladar para evitar!

He estado yendo a Sammys por muchos años. Sin embargo, la comida en el último año no ha sido muy buena. Pedí mi pollo habitual con pimientos verdes en salsa satay. El pollo recientemente parece ser escalfado, que está bien, ya que se mantiene suave sin embargo, necesita ser cocinado por más tiempo. Las últimas veces ha sido gelatinoso al punto la semana pasada de ser rosado y poco cocido. Tuve que tirarlo por desgracia. Si vas a pochar pollo por favor cocina por más tiempo. Recogimos una comida para llevar de Sammys después de buenas críticas acerca de la calidad y de que nuestro chino favorito aún está cerrado como resultado de las celebraciones del año nuevo chino.Pedí una pequeña comida para llevar que consiste en arroz frito especial y costillas. . .El arroz frito especial: 98% de arroz (probablemente 4 o 5 piezas pequeñas de varias carnes) mezclado con una salsa vil que no tiene nada que ver con un plato chino.Las costillas: piezas diminutas sin sabor de no sé qué.No regresará

Nos quedamos muy decepcionados con nuestro Special Chow Mein y King Prawns In Ginger and Spring Onion. El chow Mein contenía cubos de jamón procesado y fideos muy empapados. Los langostinos sabían bien, pero el plato entero estaba arruinado por una gran cantidad de cebollas blancas. Lo llevé de vuelta y el propietario obviamente pensó que yo era quisquilloso. Él no estuvo de acuerdo con que sus fideos 'especiales' no fueran en mi opinión 'especiales'. Entonces eso fue una gran pérdida. Somos locales y recuerdo por qué no he visitado en 15 años. Los amantes de la carne realmente disfrutamos de esta comida ya que las porciones eran grandes y los sabores eran muy buenos. Sin embargo, como vegetariano, los platos eran pobres. ¡Pedí un veg chow mein y una salsa de judías verdes vegetales y casi no había vegetales en ninguno de los dos! Había alrededor de 5 piezas de pimiento verde y el resto solo cebolla y castañas. Debe haber dos tipos de pimientos o zanahoria o brócoli. Pedí de nuevo una segunda oportunidad y les pido que realmente vean las verduras ya que las salsas son muy sabrosas. Buen valor si también comes carne

Chow main was horrible but the rest was ok
