Had the Sunday Carvery here today and has got to be one of the worst I have had in a very long time, every item on my plate was bland and tasteless, would not recommend the Sunday lunch terrible! However the other food here from there day to day menu is usually pretty good 👍

Went for Sunday dinner . Prawn cocktail been made the day before and stuck in the fridge cold and tasteless. Main course went for carvery. Beef was tough and gammon salty . Mash and Turnip was lumpy and mash had too much milk in was like slop . Yorkshire puddings was ok . Gravey like water .

Arrived on a busy Sunday lunch time and asked for a seat for 3 (1 adult & 2 kids) asked to take a seat and about a 15 minute which was fine and took a seat at the bottom near main door. My youngest child wanted to have a wander after 5 minutes 😂 so we ended up back up at the top. As we were standing I explained that if it helped (more for their benefit because I could see how busy they were and there was a que of people from the stairs to the main entrance at this point) I could just have 2 seats and a highchair. The man who was at the booking part turned to another colleague and said ‘this lady thinks if she stands up here she will get seated quicker’ not sure if he thought I wouldn’t hear or if he wanted me to hear but after this we left and won’t be returning. No need to be so rude in a massive que of customers when simply standing up there as that’s where my child was 🤷🏼‍♀️

Rude staff also won't sell full cake unless you pay £100 for it and the piece you get are smaller

Came in Friday for a meal with my grandparents. Food was spot on, affordable and tasted good and our server Lily was great too. The service you get for the price you pay is top. Definitely recommend 👍

I swear, if there was an award for the most entertaining waitress, Maddie would win it hands down! The food? Absolutely delicious! But honestly, I could have just ordered a plate of Maddie's jokes and still left happy. If you're in the mood for a good laugh and some tasty bites, make sure to ask for Maddie at sambucas. You won't regret it—your stomach will hurt from laughing and from all the amazing food!

popped in for the live music on saturday night and wow it was amazing ! The food was phenomenal, we got chicken pepper and a pepperoni pizza and it was unbelievable. However, the service was what made this special! We had a lovely waitress called Lily and she went above and beyond could not have done more for us. Will definitely be returning

I got served by maddie, she was really kind and helped us out with everything we need. Would really recommend this restaurant to everyone. Was one of the best carvery’s around 10/10. My boyfriend had a grilled fillet and it was cooked perfectly. All the staff were great but maddie topped our experience off. Absolutely fantastic

Came in for the live music on Saturday night, the food was unbelievable. I had a grilled fillet cooked to perfection. The service was 10/10 with the waitress Kayla being so lovely, it was very busy and she still made time to make sure everything was okay with our experience start to finish. She let us know about the carvery on a Sunday and suggested we should try it, so of course we did. Next day straight back, the carvery was impeccable. Lovely roasties, huge Yorkshire puddings we defo will be returning more often.

We have been here several times on a Saturday and the food and service is always good. The one big shame is that the music artist(s) always start at 9 pm when the venue is starting to empty. Such a disappointment for the entertainers having to play to a half empty room. The management need to change the start time to 8 pm

Rushed and inadequate. As soon as we sat down we were asked what drink we wanted without w chance to look. Maybe 2 minutes to decide food. Coke was flat and not cold with one small ice cube. Portion of pasta is similar to a kids pasta at any other pub and was warm. Lacked any real flavour and tasted cheap. Pizza base was soggy, tasteless and falling apart. Loud irritating music made the place feel shabby. Wont return. Not worth the price.

Not a good experience music blasting.. tool 40mins for the food to arrive and I ordered a fillet jambalaya medium and it came well done sent another one which was cut in half... basic cooking skills getting a steak right... won't return

Everything is very rushed, to get you in & out. The food is amazing on the odd occasions but very average for the most part. Had one very good experience in there but now several poor ones would not be looking to go their as a first choice.

This is the worst Sambuca in existence. The food wasn't good, the restaurant is grubby and staff overworked. It was topped of by loud music so we couldn't hear each other talk. If you want Sambuca don't go here, drive 10 mins to shields and go to one of there other excellent restaurants.

Should really book at busy times, but they've never turned us away. Food is prompt and filling. Garlic bread & pasta...50/50...dream. Carbs before training. Service is excellent and atmosphere is always amazing.

Food is always delicious and fast service. Waiters/waitresses always dancing around and it’s just genuinely a good atmosphere, everyone is well mannered. I will say that certain staff members stand and talk bad about other members where people eating can hear, and whilst I love a bit of drama, I don’t fancy hearing it when I’m trying to eat my carbonara. Other than that, it’s a good place to go and eat. Would definitely recommend!!!

Always a great night out though it could be too noisy for some. Always a great greeting and service from staff. It added to the night with a George Michael tribute who is very popular with the restaurant.

Had enjoyed a pleasant day Christmas shopping with my wife. Decided to round the day off with a meal at Sambucas. We were shown to a table next to a set of steps. Every time someone walked past the table and chair shook. The waiters were heavy footed and throughout the meal the table and chair was rocking frequently. There were kids running wild with parents not giving a toss.For main course I ordered a pizza and specifically said no tomato due to an allergy. Lo and behold the pizza arrived with a tomato base. Without an apology the waiter took it away. The waitress who took the order came over laughing and explained the kitchen staff were confused and didn't understand. What's difficult about no tomato. My wife was left to eat her not very warm.pasta while I waited for my pizza. When it arrived it was incinerated around the crust. I was not offered any parmesan cheese and before I could ask for some the server walked away When it came to getting the bill it took 20 minutes to get the attention of the waitress. We were ignored by several waiters before other customers caught our waitress and pointed out how long we had been waiting. Eventually she came over and didn't once ask how the meal was or make any form of apology. Been there several times. Will not be back. Think they take customers for granted. .

Oh dear what an experience today! Been coming here for years but food is deteorating, yes it was half term - bad choice, but treating grandson. Soup was supposed to be cream of mushroom but like dishwater, bread was dry and stale, butter was frozen Pizza was tough hard to cut for someone with arthritis, although dough was very thin, filling getting sparse and very salty (can't have salt) edges burnt. And the coffee oh dear one taste and it was dreadful, you used to make lovely coffee. Very disappointing for someone who does not get out much

This is my first visit to Sambuca (The Glasshouse). We all had the lunchtime special. There are a lot of the pasta dishes you can't have as part of the deal and the starter is either potato skins or soup. However....the potato skins were lovely and a generous portion. The soup looked lovely too. I had spaghetti carbonara and it was delicious. Very generous portion and although I was full I ate it all as it was too nice to leave. I could not fault it at all. The waiters were all really friendly too. It was pretty busy with a nice atmosphere. I will definitely be returning.

It was ok. Food was good. A few things were not right with seating arrangements. Staff did try their best unfortunately disappointed on this occasion.

Nicest Sambuca that I've visited

During my visit to Sambuccas, I was disappointed by several aspects of the dining experience. The staff were incredibly rude, shouting instead of politely asking who had ordered what. There were no check backs on the starters, mains, or desserts, and nobody bothered to ask if the food was okay when they took our plates. The portion of bread served was minuscule, and the pate was disproportionate to the amount of stale bread provided. There were no explanations given about potential allergens in the dishes, or whether to order at the bar or be served at the table. The chips were undercooked and resembled more of cut-offs than actual chips, while the potato skins were more like thick potato wedges. Despite the venue being half empty, we were seated right next to a chaotic kids' birthday party, with children shouting, screaming, and crying. To add to the frustration, the person seating us walked at an unreasonably fast pace, causing us to lose track of her at one point. The overall atmosphere was rushed and lacking in attentiveness to customers' needs. However, I must mention that there was one man on shift who seemed to be doing a good job – unfortunately, we did not get his name. He was the one who handed us our check. Despite his efforts, the overall experience at Sambuccas left much to be desired.

Great food and excellent customer service, first time at this venue but will definitely be back, Maddie was superb only wish more customer service was this good 10/10 😎

Ordered for a large table, I wouldn't expect all meals to come out immediately. But I do expect a meal to come out complete. I was finished my main before they brought the rest of my meal. Not satisfied with the service.

Some of the best pizzas I have ever had. The venue is big and good for romantic meals and groups. The staff are very friendly and the service is great. Being a branch of Sambuca the quality of food is good and consistent. The costs are reasonable too.

I visited this restaurant as a returning customer recently, and was greatly disappointed. After arriving we ordered food, in which I told our server I had a nut allergy, and I was then presented with a contract as stated below. This is a new policy as I have been multiple times before and third has never been in place. After refusing to sign the contract as it is only in place to cover their backs, and although it wouldn’t happen gives them a legal right to not give in care to my allergy at all. The manager then came over to me and tried to trick me by telling me it was so they could send me emails about wether there were allergy updates in food items. I replied that I still wouldn’t be signing it to this to which he jumped up sarcastically said “enjoy your food” and left, leaving us with fear that our food would be tampered with. This is not the level of customer service expected at any restaurant and especially would not recommend this to an allergen customer.

Arrived 10 minutes early for booked table for 2 my daughter and myself. Asked to wait in waiting area, fair enough, the man put a mark next to my name. 10 minutes later couples were being shown straight to table! Those waiting were all parents and child. Mixed sex couples were going straight in!!! Question why this was happening man said they booked!!! Said i had also and he had put mark next to my name. Absolutely disgusted with this treatment. Food was lovely one of the best sunday caverys around. But will think twice about going again

Ambience is great! We had muscles in white wine sauce it was amazing! We also had seafood pasta and it was all good! I would definitely recommend this restaurant as it just a wipe to be in and stuff are really nice and friendly very attentive. The food is great and the price value amazing as well.

Food was pretty tasteless tbh( I had a veg risotto). It's not somewhere I usually frequent as I'm not a big fan but was someone else's choice of venue. Sorry for the negative revision, but there are better places in Cramlington, in my opinion.

Absolutely awesome restaurant, incredible food, and amazing atmosphere

The music was too loud so we could hear each other talk. When it was time to sing happy birthday to the birthday girl it was not as good as they did with others. They were inconsiderate towards us and the service was slow. We also had a reservation but yet they didn't have a table available for half an hour after we had booked. When one of our party members ordered something they received the wrong dish but it was too loud to ask for a replacement. Very Disappointed!

So disappointed service is shocking waiting over 2 hours for food and there still very sarcastic with their attitude. Will never eat there again

What a wonderful place! The food was delicious, the staff are friendly & fantastic, the atmospher was great. Had a meal out with family, the food was well presented and plenty of it, we had starters, main courses & desserts all of them were lovely. Can not fault Sambuca at Cramlington at all, nothing was too much trouble. Looking forward to my next visit!

The staff were friendly and the service good, sadly the food was terrible, I had a carbanara, no mushrooms or garlic it was disgusting, when I asked for the parmazane cheese a waitress came with a dish and spooned it over my meal without saying a word, all in all very good poor. Will not be going back.

Very busy place which is good to see , staff attentive and helpful. Food was great for everyone we had a table of 10 for a 50th birthday & a few of us first time dinning there. The only criticism was we asked two members of staff, one to box half a pizza for one of the kids who then didn't bring it back, then the other staff member to box half the garlic bread which he did,other than that a very nice place to go and would certainly go back.

Went for lunch, food was great, cocktails were delicious and the staff were so friendly and upbeat.

Always a fab place to visit with family for a meal that's consistently well cooked, with lovely friendly staff and good self.

Don't know where to start. Once seated it took a while for someone to take drinks order, and even longer after that for someone to take mains order. Atleast while I was waiting I had the joys of listening to the music they had on, so loud that I practically had to shout to make my order and even worse to talk to the other 3 people with me. I'm not joking when I say the deff man eating in the subway 2 doors down could hear it, and i can imagine him being too happy that the first music he's heard in years was the awful stuff blasting from this place. A server brought food for another table to ours, and then had an attitude with us when we told her it wasn't ours, as if it was our fault that she read the table number wrong? Another fun thing was having members of staff shouting to eachother asking about shifts, across our table as one was on the upper level behind us and the other Infront of us. The one star that I have left for service and atmosphere are generous, as 0 would be far more fitting. As for the food, once it finally arrived to our table it wasn't even worth the wait. Sauce on the pastas was bland, flavourless even. And the two pizzas were so greasy, I even saw a pepperoni slice doing a belly slide like it was on a slip and slide. After only eating about a third to a half, the staff asked if we wanted them boxed up to take home, but I'd rather not waste the space in the kitchen bin. Didn't want to risk desert, can only imagine how awful that would've been. I will say however, the garlic bread was nice, so atleast they have that. Honestly, you're better off getting a footlong sandwich from the subway a couple doors down, atleast there you don't leave with your ears ringing. 1/10 overall, that 1 is purely because of the garlic bread. Don't eat here, its waste of your time, your money, and the lifespan of your eardrums.

Ordered from the lunch menu, which is great value at £8.95 for three courses. Paid £2.50 for a drink separately. Staff welcoming, quick service with food which was very nice on the palate. Choice of pastas for your dish when ordering your three courses. Would recommend.

Relaxed friendly atmosphere with efficient friendly staff

Wonderful evening watching Anna Girls with a group of friends. Went with my son who uses a wheelchair, although it was a little difficult to negotiate our way to the table we managed with the help of the staff who were very helpful. The food was lovely and the service excellent. A special mention to our waiter Liam who went the extra mile to help my son and made sure he had everything he needed to enjoy his meal. It made a difference, thank you. 😊

Called in yesterday for Sunday lunch throughout the night my husband and myself have food poison, he's worse than me , only thing we eat yesterday, was the carvery , so can't be anything else but that hopefully we both recover quickly, not be back

Called before our visit to make sure the restaurant had gluten free pasta for my son. Got told they did and also they would make him potato skins in fresh oil with his allergies. Arrived to be told they had no gluten free pasta and can’t make his potato skins in own oil as to busy. He ended up with a chicken breast and salad. Cut his chicken up to realise it was raw on the middle. Awful service from waiter she seemed like it was all our own fault and food worst a have had from any Sambucas. 2 bits chicken in my pasta and sauce so dry. Would not recommend one bit

Used to love this place and the food , it's really gone downhill.. Sorry to say won't return, We arrived at 5.30pm on Thursday evening the place was jumping the music was horrendous and no Italian at all it was the chart's. Most often staff are young men who just stood around posting instead of cleaning tables and serving,There was no Guinness left or two other lagers unavailable, got shown to a table right in front of the bar when there was free booths left. The meal came we ordered the steak night offer the steaks were tiny and not cooked to our liking very tough and the plates were cold, then they said that there was no cheese cake left for out sweet what on earth has happened to this lovely restaurant 😔

Stumbled across it by accident and so glad we did! It's like a tardis! Don't be put off by the empty bar area as you enter. It opens up into big a split level restaurant which was busy with great music and a lively atmosphere. Great for families, couples, celebrations (maybe just avoid if you want a quiet romantic meal!) We had Pepperoni pizza, steak strip pasta and the spicy sausage and seafood pasta and every dish was delicious. Service was speedy and really friendly too. Only thing I wasn't a fan of was the mojhito and the draught coke was a bit flat but certainly couldn't fault the food, prices or service.

Quick service, but stay away from the prawns. Over cooked and very rubbery. Over was good. £ 135 for 4 of us with starters and a few drinks

Fantastic carvery - choice of 4 meats which were all nice and tender, plenty of veg, lush toasties and giant Yorkshire (you can have more than one). £11.95 for adults, £6.95 for under 14s. You can also order from their regular menu (pizza/pasta/steak etc). Fast and friendly service and drinks were reasonable. Lunch & drinks for 5 = £65. Can't complain at that.

Lush food & great service as always. Nice touch with a singer just a shame he started when we were on our way out. Will defo be returning soon !

Portions were on the small side however food was great. Think it was a special menu but would go back as atmosphere and staff were great.

Went today with my dad who's in a wheelchair. They were extremely helpful & attentive - especially to him. Dad had prawn cocktail & then mussels & he loved then. My pasta was really tasty too. The music was a bit too loud (especially for lunch time) but didn't spoil the lunch tbh. Excellent staff.

Had a very nice meal before Christmas.Enjoyed the atmosphere & most of the staff were friendly.

Came here with a friend recently for dinner after work on a Tuesday evening. Firstly we could barely hear each other talking over the blaring loud dance music and then the awful live singer. Staff also kept dimming the lights numerous times and the singer was shouting, trying to get other diners to join in waving their arms around and singing which felt awkward. When they were messing about with the lighting I could barely see my food when we were eating.. feel sorry for anyone who was still reading the menu at that point. The food has also gone downhill. Whilst it tasted lovely as it always does, the price has gone up yet portion size has got smaller. My bowl of pasta was smaller than a child's portion and cost near on £10 for the serving and i went home still feeling hungry. I get it that cost of living crisis is affecting us all, businesses included, but to bring up the price and shrink the serving size isn't the right way. Genuinely unsure if this place wants to be a cabaret bar/cruise ship entertainment on dry land, or a restaurant.. both isn't working.

Excellent visit with my Husband, Son & Two Grandsons, Aged 14 & 20

Horrendous experience and service at Cramlington Sambuca. Ordered 50/50, agreed with the waitress however when food arrived it wasn’t 50/50. Pasta and pizza served separately. When queried, we were met by 2 male members of staff who were intimidating. They stated only at this point that they didn’t offer 50/50. Also, the portion size of the pasta dish was more of a half portion/childs portion if you were lucky. When the bill arrived, the receipt even stated 50/50 however this was not what was received. Overall service was shocking, no apologies given nor nothing. Also heard a male member of staff state “ask her if she is a Karen” against another paying customer who was complaining also. Very rude of a member of staff to make this comment about a paying customer. Will not be back.

Brilliant night. Fab singer on real party atmosphere. Food not as good as usual but they were very busy always love the carbonara there but wasn't too good last night. Nevermind, all in all still a great place ☺️🎄👯‍♂️🍸🍸🎅

Booked a table for 2 at 6.30, got there early and was seated straight away. Great option on menu and also special's board. Had bruschetta to start, pasta for main and red velvet cake for dessert. All very tasty. Would recommend.

What can I say... It's Sambucas. The staff are always fab, the food is hot and delicious.
